12/06/25 - My wife took her brother & the family here for her brother's birthday. I've never eaten @ a Longhorn Steakhouse before & was pleasantly surprised. Obviously it can't compete w/places like Bavettes, RPM or Gibson.....but then again the price point is so much less. The food was surprisingly good but at a fraction of what it would have cost to feed 7 1/4 (14 month old) people at the other steakhouse. Our total cost for 7 1/4 people was about what it would cost for 2 people @ one the aforementioned steakhouses. Our server was Tina. She did an awesome job taking care of our table. It's something that we can really appreciate when you have a good server because they can make or a dining experience. I'd the server is good we believe in taking care of them for their effort & Tina did an outstanding job. I hate to say it but I had sort of a snobbish attitude coming in but the food was a lot better than I thought it would be. I ordered the combo meal w/chicken Parmesan (very good w/a nice moist chicken breast & a cheese crust on top). This also came w/1/2 slab of ribs. They were decent cooked well w/the meat falling off of the bone, but were pretty good (not the level of Smoque). This also came W/2 sides. I got a loaded baked potato w/butter, bacon, green onions & cheese. My other side was a baked sweet potato w/brown sugar, cinnamon & butter. This was delicious. I haven't had longhorn in a long time. Decided to check out the Harlem location. It was overall pretty good. I couldn't believe how busy it actually was for a Longhorn. My burger was solid and the cocktail was well made. Definitely give it a shot if you're looking for a solid dinner. read more

This establishment is really horrible, I came in with a party 18 people for two graduations and was treated very poorly, we were told that because they were busy we had fo wait but others that were coming in were able to be seated, my party asked 4 to 5 times if we could sit within the s.e area and was told by the manager we could but when it came time to seat us they tried to split us on separate sides of the restaurant which was not what was told to us. When we finally was seated a party of 11 came in a.d was able to be seated as soon as they walked in, half of my party ended up leaving due to the inconvenience and the way we were treated. If you have a huge party a.d you are either black or brown please do not expect food service from them. read more

Myself and my friend come here often. Yesterday wasn't even as busy as I've seen the place before. We sat down the guy brought our bread. Waiter took for ever to come say hi or even offer us anything to drink. Once she finally did, I asked for water never got it. When she finally came to take our order we ordered our drinks and thats when we finally got our water. Food came out super cold. I never got my salad. They forgot we ordered appetizer. Been here a few times in the last few months. Don't recommend coming during any date worthy holidays. Too busy and the don't take reservations. Latest time was for my birthday. I had a delicious steak and lots of great sides. We also had cheesecake which was so good you have to write home about it. We like this place over some other steakhouses because their kids menu actually has steak choice. This is good since daddy and I don't like to share our delicious steak. Went for a birthday celebration. The wait for a table was obnoxious b/c there were empty tables that were not being cleaned. We had to ask if tables were available and if they could be cleaned so we could finally get seated. The steak was overcooked and under seasoned. The mac & cheese was boxed kraft brand for $8. The chicken tenders were small and dry. Overall disappointing food outing. The service from our server was great. He was patient, attentive, and stayed friendly the entire night. Top for a table, which was great sat at the bar had a few cocktails the wait staff and the bartenders excellent service. Our food came great no complaints. To start the drinks taste different this time We had order a coke and dr. pepper The soda was at room temperature and not even the ice made any difference.we let our server know She said the soda machine was broken down and that for two days they were serving from 2L bottles. I took a friend out for dinner we both ate steaks my friend almost died from food poisoning she had to be hospitalized the drs said food poisoning I also got sick pretty bad myself but I'm we notified the staff to let them know what happened they never apologized or offered us any refund. LHS is a long time guilty pleasure for me. For those of you who have never been, think of it like a cross between AppleBee's and Outback Steakhouse. It's the perfect combination of margaritas and steak within an affordable range. This location has been open since the dawn of time. Literally. I remember coming here throughout my youth when there was a smoking and non-smoking section. Needless to say, I've been a lowkey stan for well over a decade (or two) now. The food is always more than decent for what you're paying for. Their classic/perfect margaritas are tasty and they are not weak. I say you get a good bang for your buck if you want a good classic steak. They will always return the steak and cook it to your liking if they don't hit the mark. My only gripe with this one is, the clientele. It's not their fault but depending on the day/time you can really catch yourself in a questionable crowd. The service was terrible today. I sat at the bar for over 20 minutes and couldn't even get a water while I was waiting for the bartender to return to the bar. I'm assuming either people called in sick today or this place has a hard time keeping employees just from my brief visit. Longhorn restaurant advertises Flo's filet...see attached. I have been to this location and DesPlaines 3 times this year. Longhorn is advertising falsely. Prior to to 2024, the filet was excellent, and looked exactly like the picture. This year, when you order the filet, It looks like a piece of sirloin, maybe 3/4 of inch thick, and texture is miserable, nothing like a real filet. You can just pull the meat apart, which you cannot do with a REAL FILET. They say, they now cook meat by weight, so I still get my 6 oz filet, which is BS. Then they say, if I want Flo's filet, the one that looks likes Flo's filet, I have to talk to the manager to request it. They refuse to change their false advertising, and pretend I am the person who is misinterpreting. read more

I love this longhorn! My husband and I come here quite often. We don't come peak times on the weekends because the wait takes a while... but that's at every good restaurant. The dragon fruit margaritas is currently my favorite! The cooks on the steak are usually good and what we ask for but if it isn't up to par, they take it back and ensure it's done correctly. This steakhouse is a hit or a miss depending on the location and the server you get. Sometimes the food is amazing and at other times, it's below average. Steaks are not always cooked right but if you let them know, they will take care of it. Most of the time, they will just put the same steak to cook again and bring it out. The sides like the mac&cheese, mashed potatoes, the rice, and brussels sprouts are really good. The ambiance is more on the gloomy side with deer hung on the walls with paintings. If you're a person who enjoys bright lighting, this is not the place for you. I would not recommend the drinks. Too sweet. Plan to wait a long time if you do walk ins especially on busy days. I would suggest reserving your place for bigger groups and for smaller groups, to place your name on the list on their site so you can be seated quicker instead of just waiting. read more

I drove an hour and 30 mins to Chicago with my fiancé to take my mother in law out for a nice little dinner because we couldn't celebrate on Mother's Day .This review isn't even about the food, it's entirely about our waitress Michelle H. For starters it was a very slow night, at least while my family and I were there. Our bill for 4 people was very descent, my mother in law decided to leave a $4 tip; for one that's all the cash she had and two Michelle wasn't every attentive anyway so I guess it worked out. As we were literally entering our vehicle ( we parked in front of the restaurant) Michelle H came RUNNING out of the restaurant to tell us (while we're literally half way in our vehicle) verbatim in sarcastic tone "I'm sorry that guys feel that I gave you bad service" while we're all looking very puzzled and confused, I said "it's about the tip?" She said "yes", I said "there is no way she came out here in the rain to say this" . By then it was very evident that she had a HUGE ATTITUDE, she proceeded to say "you could have told me if the service was bad, I try to give good service" and rolled her eyes and walked off. Now the thing is, yes she wasn't very attentive but my family and I just took it for what it was and left it alone but the fact that she had the audacity to run us down to complain over a $4 tip when we could've easily given her nothing is so bizarre. I have NEVER experienced something like that in my 30 years of living, I have never been harassed over a tip. I get that it was a slow night but to chase after someone to complain about the money they left you is the true definition of PRIVILEGED!!!!!! I think it's time for Michelle H to find another job if you have to chase after your customers to complain about their money they left you. I called to speak with a manager immediately after leaving once the shock settled down and twice I was left on mute for over 5 minutes. Michelle H was VERY LUCKY we weren't some crazy people because harassing paying customers who had already paid and exited the restaurant over money qualities you for an ass whoopin and it's literally just that simple. Now I'll be honest Michelle H was very nice but her vibe didn't seem genuine, I don't know if she has some sort of condition or disability but it was something about her that I couldn't put my finger on outside of her not being too attentive. On top of it all I'm a Texas Roadhouse girl as I'm from the suburbs, so great job on the first impression. I'm still in shock that she did that. I've always enjoyed this location, but unfortunately, they hired a new chef recently and the steaks have taken a hit. First Longhorn steak out was totally raw, got another one that was cooked a bit better but was stale and had scraps of meat hanging and was not the usual large cut. My Mom had the New Yorker and was also poorly cooked and very chewy. The server was nice and was a hard worker as the table next to us also returned their steak. That was comped, and they received an apology. We did not, and the manager was not checking in like usually. read more

All things considered it's not bad. The main draw is the portions are just right, which means that the pricing is right too. Complimentary bread like most chain steak restaurants is good. The crab/shrimp dip appetizer is quite filling with all that cheese but I can still taste the crab and shrimp. The 6oz filet(medium rare) crab cake with 2 sides was the perfect size. This was my first time dining here even though many of my friends swear by it and eat here all the time. I was glad my friend chose to have drinks here so that I can finally see once and for all what the hype was all about. Our server was really nice, however he kept forgetting things like straws and refills when asked. I shouldn't have had to walk to the bar to get a straw. He also gave my friend and I the wrong check to pay after we were done eating. I enjoyed salmon, rice and broccoli. I did not expect the salmon to be that good!! Melt in your mouth good!! Glued meat at Longhorn "Steak House" for years now I've enjoyed a decent steak at Longhorn until today. I cut into my steak only to find out that it was a glued steak that they sold me. Could you imagine that a glued together piece of filet mignon. Sold to me by Longhorn as a normal filet mignon at full retail. When I explained it to the manager, she didn't really ask surprised with her phony apology. This sickened my stomach. You think of LongHorn, you think of any other chain restaurant which serves sub-par food. But it's just not the case and I just had to shout it from the rooftops! First of all, they start you off with warm fresh bread and butter. Already, yes. Give me all the carbs! We ordered a bottle of red wine, fried pickles app, I got the filet and my wife got the ribeye and 2 sides each... we could not believe how incredible the meat was. It honestly surpasses Wildfire and Cooper's Hawk which says something. And the best part, all of that was $92! STEAL. Clara, who was our server, brought out a free dessert for my wife's birthday and was overall very attentive.
