The food was inedible, the pizza tasted like spoiled cheese and old pepperoni. I believe the wings were frozen wings put in a microwave. We ate half a slice of pizza each and left the rest. The staff were missing in action the entire time. Soda tasted like they hadn't cleaned the well guns at the bar in weeks. There was no manager, so I charged it to my room figuring I would take it up with the hotel. The hotel said it wasn't their problem, different owners but same building. We ended up checking out of the hotel, separate review, after finding a blood stain on the sheets. This hotel should be shutdown and I'm shocked that the restaurant is still in business. Avoid at all costs or enjoy the free food poisoning.

Located inside the Four Points by Sheraton hotel, restaurant and a bar is pretty average looking sports bar with somewhat slower service. Server Anita was polite but had too many things going on. Food is typical heavy bar food. Not bad, but nothing special to brag about either. Simply average restaurant/bar

The time reflects eastern time...I was in Chicago. The timer was set after sitting there for about 6 minutes.

It took 18:29 seconds for anyone to recognize I was in the bar. So after 5 minutes, I ordered through Grubhub. That seemed to work. Would have had a couple, or more, drinks...but neither waiter or bartender seemed to aware of my need. As a known passive aggressive person, I did not raise a stink as I sat there. I simply watched the Lakers get a beat down by Memphis until my food was ready. If you are not a regular, you are invisible.

I really wasn't impressed with the food at Mirage. On my first visit, I opted to eat from the breakfast buffet, which is $10.95 and includes juice and fruit, and toast. The eggs had a weird sour taste, which was unappetizing. The pancakes were also rock hard. They must have been sitting there for a while. On my second visit, I ordered the Americana omelette, which was huge. Enough for two people. The service was much slower on the second day. I don't really expect much from hotel restaurants, so I can't say I was really disappointed.

This restaurant was connected to the hotel I stayed at. Excellent tasting food! We had dinner and breakfast here. The prices are good too. The only complaint I have is that it was hard to get any coffee or water refills. The kids menu was pretty decent too. Definitely would come back to this restaurant.

I came into The Mirage on random chance and it was the best experience. The lounge is comfortable and relaxed. I sat in front of their large fireplace and was greeted warmly by Joe the mixologist. Their menu is impressive and their drinks are even better. Joe knows what he's doing. Being attached to a hotel I was skeptical, but I'll definitely be back.

My sister and I came here due to a flight delay and I got offered an overnight package which included a $12 meal voucher here. The server, Joe Kelly, was super sweet and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and an entree to share, I didn't even have to tell him that we're sharing food, he immediately noticed and offered to split the pasta into two plates. We've never been to Chicago before but Joe really made a wonderful impression of the city with his warm welcoming attitude, will definitely want to visit this city one day!

Inside was pretty empty, we were there on a Thurs night and it seemed like mostly a few other corporate groups and regulars. There's a room with slot machines which I thought was interesting. Quick service, large portions and food came out fast. 4/5 chicken caldo soup - spicy but really flavorful 2/5 wings - dry rub was a bit too dry for their liking 3/5 friend got a salad with poppyseed dressing but didn't end up using the dressing as it had a bit of a strange consistency for her. She said it was okay tho. 3.5/5 ultimate grilled cheese, added a burger patty medium and red onions. The burger was good but cooked more medium well. Waffle fries generous but didn't care much for the ranch. 3.5/5 jambalaya - friends enjoyed it and the serving was large. 4/5 bread pudding was tasty and so was the ice cream. Service was great and it was just what we needed to get us some extra food. Menu was extensive and she indicated all was made fresh. Not necessarily food I'd crave & seek out if I was back in the area but it was pleasantly surprising and exactly what we needed!

Even with a lot of toppings. The beer was ice cold. The only kinda meh was the appetizer pretzel. The beer cheese was kind of like a liquid nacho cheese with beer mixed into it that made for an off putting texture and the mustard sauce was just Dijon mustard squirted into a cup. Needed to be thinned out a bit. Over all 8.5/10. The pizza made up for the appetizer meh-ness

We talked long with the bartender and a young man that worked there. Order a few drinks and talked with these two guys for fifteen minutes or so off and on before we even ordered anything. Hard to say which was out favorite because they were all equally as delicious and bursting with flavor from the fresh ingredients. The margaritas were bland and had table salt just smothered in the rim which made it very unappealing. Then the chips and guacamole turned me off from ordering anything else. The guac was either out of a tube or box I had a little bit and it tasted awful and as it sat in the bar top it just turned brown like green after 20 minutes. Service was decent but there was only one table occupied on a Sunday lunchtime which should have been a giveaway. The food that came out for another table looked decent but after the guac I only imagined the rest of the food was probably frozen or boxed items and didnt want to spend any more money there.

This is an old-fashioned mom-and-pop diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was simple, homemade-style comfort food, and everything we had was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. I almost passed on trying this place because I saw a review mentioning rude staff and racist comments, but I'm really glad I gave them a chance. The majority of the kitchen staff was Hispanic, and one of the servers was as well, so I highly doubt those comments are accurate. The staff may be a little more mature/old-school, but they were absolutely not rude. BTW, my husband is Mexican, and everyone was very kind and polite to us. If you appreciate a full cup of coffee (they actually come around and top it off often!) and good, simple diner food, give them a try. Nice to see places like this still exist!

Seldom do I get a plate where everything was prepared perfectly - the eggs were not overdone nor the whites runny, the toast was just right, the hash browns were nicely toasted, and the avocado did not have 1 blemish. Throughout my meal, my cup stayed full and the gentlemen waking around was super friendly without being overbearing. I sat for quite a while until the rain stopped. I never felt rushed. For a spur of the moment stop, I was impressed with this place. Thank you for feeding me and keeping me dry!

A short fuse and a close call…read more After Emily and I checked in to our hotel room, we wanted to stretch our legs and see if there was anything nearby for some beer and some food. Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. While nothing really struck our fancy, our waitress made a comment that if we did want any food, it might be slim pickings as they were running out of stuff. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things. Emily started off with a Guava Gose and I grabbed a Krankshaft kolsch. We sampled each other beers and we both really liked what the other ordered. I don't really know what a gose is but, damn, was that good! I've had Krankshaft before so I knew what I was getting myself in to. We ended up ordering a second round of the same beers and let each other sample the other's beer a little more liberally this time. While we were kind of hungry, nothing on the menu really struck our fancy, especially considering they might've been out of it. Room service took care of those hunger pangs later after a few more beers in the hotel bar. Online reviews for this place seemed hit and miss but I really enjoyed my time there and really enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the vibe of the place. We did contemplate buying some bar signs on our way out but declined as we don't know what we would exactly do with them.
