Great brunch! Many options for breakfast items including omelettes and Benedict's, great pancakes…read morewith any berries you want or bananas or chocolate chips! Lunch items too.. tacos, Sandwiches are upscale, I had an ahi tuna burger which I loved. The owner is Danish and there are Danish items on the menu. The meatballs are great and if you like pickled beets, yum! But I usually get an omelette, my son orders "the ultimate". A big breakfast with pancake, eggs, meat of choice, hash browns and toast! (Son is a young athletic man)! Atmosphere is the best in Marin, I'd say for brunch, sitting on the water and overlooking the swimming pool sandwiched between the pool and tennis courts, our SF friends love to join us at the Club! Have had dinners here too which were great! Full bar and wine list! Never a poor experience and friendly service!

Spent my second weekend in a row at "The Club" and lemme tell ya, this is a life a gal could get…read moreaccustomed to. Last week I got Dungeness Crab Benedict with truffle fries and caught some tennis in session. This week I got a tan by the big pure salt saline pool that's heated to 83 degrees year round and while lounging I sipped on Arnold Palmers (I'm taking a wee break from booze but their bar is great, too) and swallowed a tuna melt practically whole. There's a fitness center, a butt-load of tennis courts, an on-site bar & resto, huge jacuzzi, olympic size pool, and some incredible views as The Club is right on the Bay and looks over to Tiburon. My friend is a member and actually lives on this resort property (unreal) and I totally mooch off his guest spots to come get my swim on. I feel like every time I come I meet 1000 people and they all have really cool stories and backgrounds. Retired ER Dr, pizza place owner, French Chefs, lots of lawyers. lots of hot moms, lots of hot dads, some kids they brought with, and while there are a lot of seniors here, they're legit the fittest 60+ crowd I've ever seen. On Holidays they frequently have a live band and they'll grill burgers and dogs outside. It's really cool, very clean, and currently my happy place thanks to this sweet mini tan I was able to catch today.

This review is for Jerry, the tennis instructor. I have been taking lessons with him on and off…read moreover the past few months and it's amazing how much my game has improved. I like that his classes are small, which allows for one on one instruction and face time with the instructor. There is nothing worse than having questions and being unable to speak with the instructor due to the number of students enrolled, that is never the case with Jerry. I also love that at the end of each class, he plays "King/Queen of the court", which allows you to practice what you have learned and feel confident about your ability. I would say the biggest key to progressing is to play, play, play. I have not yet progressed and I would say it's largely due to my lack of playing. Jerry also gave me positive feedback, reiterating that my ability to progress to intermediate/advanced was going to be largely dependent on how much I play. Since then, I have committed to playing 3-4 times per week, if not more, and am seeing everything that Jerry has taught being reinforced. I've also received great feedback from friends at how much my game has improved. If you are looking to improve your game or just learn the basics of tennis, you would be lucky to have Jerry as an instructor (he teaches you the rules, giving you handouts, as well as the layout and scoring, which I'm terrible at). My only fear after posting this is that his class sizes will drastically increase.

During the Coronavirus lockdown, most public parks and tennis courts have been shut down until…read morefurther notice. At many private tennis clubs, you can only play singles (not doubles) with family members or people in your household. Needless to say, I've been missing my favorite sport and mode of exercise. Then a friend introduced me to Granada Park in Corte Madera. Corte Madera residents are allowed to play here if they have a city-granted key to the property. Needless to say, this park has quickly become my tennis "speakeasy." I hadn't played at Granada Park in years, and I was immediately blown away by how pristine and well-maintained the courts were. The nets were fairly new; there were no cracks in the surface; or excess leaves or other schmutz you may typically find on public courts. In fact, this does not feel like a public court at all. It's hidden in the Corte Madera hills, just off Paradise Drive. And it's a hop/skip/and jump away from Granada School. It's like a suburban oasis sheltered by large trees with a spectacular view of Mt. Tamalpais. The only thing missing here is a water fountain (which I can't imagine is allowed anyway these days). So be sure to bring your own water bottle. The park also boasts a picnic area with benches, public grills and the like. Though I don't think those are currently open due to the Coronavirus lockdown either. Like I said, these courts are only accessible to Corte Madera residents with a key. So don't just swing by here expecting to pick up a match. You def gotta know somebody to be able to play here (so I'm very glad that I do!). Until the restrictions ease up on tennis and public parks, I'm gonna keep playing at Granada for as long as it's allowed, or until they kick me off the court.

Played some of my best tennis at this park. Courts are in decent shape.read more
