My wife and I have purchased firewood for my father-in-law on two occasions. After checking out reviews on Yelp, we decided to give Dave Shultz Firewood a try. And we could not be happier with their product and superior customer service. On both occasions we purchased a half cord of their Eucalyptus Mix. My father-in-law loves the mix of hard and soft wood for his fireplace and for camp fires (they really like camping). Candy has been my contact for placing orders. She is very responsive to special requests and is a great communicator regarding delivery dates and times. The wood comes by company truck and two really nice guys that stack the wood wherever needed (back of pickup truck, barrel by the back door, and in the designated wood pile area). And they even cleaned up before they left. Everyone I have dealt with is very nice and seems like an owner of the company. If you want to save a little money you can pick up wood directly from one of their yards. I recommend that you start by calling or emailing Candy and let her know what you need. I usually go to a different location because i didnt know about shultz firewood. When i arrived i was greated by an employee at the yard and given some pretty unsettling news. Because the yard knew the other wood place was closed for the season shultz hiked their prices. Which is why the one star review. I understand supply and demand but the employee told me they dont wven pay for the wood!!! So they hiked their prices and while i was there loading some pretty poor cuts for an outrageous price but had no choice, 3 other vehicles came and left with no wood. They had a chance to earn 4 new customers and ill never go back. With everything going on sometimes a little goes a long way. Not here. They sell bundles to home depot and lowes and grocery stores so it doesnt seem like they need bulk customers anyway. If u have money to burn swing in, if like me you like a good deal find another yard. Save ur time and gas. read more

You can choose from the stacked fire wood pile or the miscellaneous wood pile. I filled up the trunk of my sedan with the miscellaneous wood for $5. That's a way better deal than buying fire wood at the store. Bring a bucket to get some kindling too. The employee at the lot is very friendly and knowledgeable. read more

My second time here.first time was great got a trunk full for 20$ first time we dealt with dave. Sad to say we just left empty handed was in a smaller car witha a smaller trunk and the guy said 30$ this time i told him dave charged us 20 just a month ago for a bigger trunk.he said that his boss raised the price i dont know if thats true or if hes trying to pocket some xtra cash.reguard less im not happy since i just drove here for nothing. read more

They promised to check and call me back. They did not. After waiting a week, I called back again. Leslie was not available. They promised she would call back today. She did not. I love this place. The woods are cheap but they burn long. I bought the woods for campfire and it was great. I saved about $20 buying it from here. The only thing that sucks about this place is the address. It doesn't show up on my car's gps and it shows up at a completely different place on my phone. You need to double check carefully before following your gps here. They are right of the 5 on the Jeffrey exit. When you exit, it says right turn only at the ramp/curve. It's on your left at that point, sort of an intersection. I would go back here again if it was on my way to camping again. read more

They have an excellent choice of wood most people opt for the mix I prefer the almond wood but Lisa who answers the phone is always very accommodating and makes it happen order come quick prompt and for a small fee also stacked. I am disappointed to write this review as I am a positive person. I was on-site on August 1st in the afternoon. The price was fair $20 for a trunk full of firewood, person on-site was polite (so far so good). Other than that, nothing good to share. The firewood was definitely not seasoned. We tried to fire it multiple times, using different logs, used 2 fire starter liquid bottles and in the end had no fire. A couple of old timers told me right away that I should not bother with the wood as it is not seasoned wood. Needless to say, our group was disappointed and people had to wait until we came back with a bunch of firewood from a nearby store to get the fire going. Not happy about my experience. read more

His yard had the precut stacks for those who want a certain variety and is easier to put in the backs of your cars.
