Cannot recommend this place enough! If you're in the area or plan on passing by, I'd definitely recommend giving this place a visit. They have just about every single type of wood you'll ever need, from pine eucalyptus to orange to almond and even oak, they've got it all, and lots of it. Very straightforward and easy to grab some wood as they have everything ready to go in shopping carts. For the price you just cannot beat it! If you were to get your wood at a grocery store, you might be spending 3x as much as just stopping by here. While it may not be in bundles, it's going to be burnt anyway, so it's worth taking a few extra steps to save some cash. One shopping cart is more than enough to last all day. I usually start my fire at around 5 or 6 and then pack up at 9:30, and with the fire roaring throughout the night I am still left with a decent amount of wood (which I usually leave for the next people). George is very helpful when it comes to getting the best options. While it is just wood, some woods burn differently and give off different aromas, which I learned here. I've been going to this place since I was a toddler, and won't find myself going anywhere else.

Picked up 1/6 cord of mixed wood! Really enjoying the wood! The staff were super helpful!

I love camping and I love campfires but sourcing the good wood can be SO TOUGH and those $7 bundles at the grocery store just don't cut it for the long campfire nights we enjoy! I had heard my parents mention a firewood distribution type place dedicated to selling wood that had been sourced from landscaping companies who clear trees for fire safety and etc. I just love the idea of this circle of life so I went to Google and cross referenced Yelp and here we found Rosenbaum ranch! If you have a truck or are camping in the general vicinity (Doheny or San Clemente State Beach or even Camp Pendleton) definitely make this your stop! The wood is not the cheapest but it burns sooooo loooooong and you support this small business that has been here for decades! We got 2 large shopping carts ($40/ea) for 3 winter nights in January including NYE where we had big bonfires for warmth and light for 6-7hrs per night. About $30 in wood per night seems like a good deal when your cold! :) Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! They are cash-preferred and they have a lot of different types of wood if you could probably use for your smoker and etc. You might as well spend your money on long lasting wood from a local small business!

Pretty close to the freeway I usually take Avery and head south on that street right beside Avery

Rosbaum ranch is a great place to By wood. I've been buying here for you it's awesome that you got to go to San cemente or Doheney for a beach fire because you can buy just a Carterwood for 10 bucks and that'll take care your whole fire for five hour The prices are always right on the bigger stuff to do and I'm sure they deliver is they're open Saturday I think leaving open Sunday and very easy to deal with there's never a big line plenty of parking and you can bring your SUV or pickup truck right up to the door I love any other places that have their kind a supply of wood they got cherry mahogany just scrap wood everything that you could imagine for different smells and purpose

If you need firewood this is the place to go, they have pre-stacked baskets ready for the taking separated by type of wood.

The chicken tacos were VERY big, I came hungry and I have a large appetite to say the least and one of those tacos itself was pretty filling. Both salsas on it were delicious (they offer a red and green one)! I also threw on a little bit on onion, cilantro and rice and it was even better. Easily the best taco I have ever had. The quesadilla had the best chew on it that is hard to describe in words.....it was slightly crispy on the outside yet a little soft and the flavor on the cheese that was so perfect. The cheese even had that melted and chewy feel to it that just makes your head want to explode because it can't comprehend how something could be so good. The taquitos were so nice and crispy and had such a pleasant blend of all the flavors it packs in its shell, you really get all of them in each bite. They are so generous with their portions in it and fill up the tray all the way to the top. This place is a gift, run here don't walk.

The store is split between savory and sweet. I ordered a few tacos (carnitas, cabeza, and lengua). The full size tacos are quite large and filling. I have to remember to order the street taco version. The flavor is good and with the salsa it hits the spot. I also ordered the menudo to dip my tacos in. Paired the food with some horchata and agua fresca. The service can be a bit slow, maybe because it is usually busy. One thing to note is that you will need to order the drink with your savory order but pick up is on the other side with the sweets.

It had almost everything you might need for those last-minute "Oops, I forgot this" moments. And when I say small, I mean it's very compact--only single file to get in and out, with the aisles running parallel to the front counter. Since I'm not very familiar with Mexican groceries, half of the items were new to me, but they had coffee, honey, paper goods, some fruits and vegetables, and more. As we were leaving, we noticed a small table with various produce items, including cactus leaves. An older gentleman, who was just finishing up with a customer, was behind the counter. Friend: "Excuse me, what is this?" (Pointing to a small, round green fruit in a box on the table) Me: "That is for juice, for drinking..." Cool. As we left the market, I saw the same gentleman exit through a side door and start ladling a liquid mix into a Styrofoam cup. He waved me over and handed me the cup, which surprised me by being warm. "This is made once a year for her..." he said, pointing to a memorial for a woman that I could partially see on the right side of the store. At first, I thought it was a ceremonial drink in honor of a family member or friend who had passed away. The drink contained the fruit we'd seen on the table and chunks of sugar cane. I wasn't sure what it was called or what else was in it. When I tried to eat the fruit, I was met with a mouthful of tiny seeds (Note to self: don't eat the fruit pieces). The drink itself was mild in flavor and not very sweet. VH took a sip and made a face--she can be quite dramatic, so I didn't take her reaction too seriously. LOL I liked the shop! The people, from the clientele to the older man, were friendly, even though I clearly didn't fit the usual demographic. It felt like a warm, welcoming place. Food: 3 Ambiance: 3 Service: 4 Value: 3

They were also sampling a "raw" cake when I was there in two different flavors - I loved the cookies and cream. I opted for a gut booster shot (they have a few options for health shots each at $2.50) in the Curtido flavor and found it to be slightly gross but tasted exactly as you would expect. Prices across the board were pretty reasonable.
