What began as a 5 star journey and vehicle purchase turned South soon after I turned North into my driveway with my newly purchased 2017 MINI Cooper JCW Clubman. I had $28,000 in Cash which had to be given to the salesperson so we could complete the deal. I handed him 3 envelopes. 2x10K and 1x8K and asked if he wanted to count it. His reply was "No I trust you." In retrospect my excitement outweighed my business logic. I should have been the one counting the money out to him...because as fate would have it the next day I get a call from the dealership indicating they were short $500. I did have $500 that I had held from a sale I made on my truck two days earlier for $28,500 which now I ended up giving away to Dave Smith. I have no proof of any theft due to MY stupid business blunder. Therefore the fact that someone got a $500 bonus from me is all that's left to say about this. Now to the pricey nit-picky stuff. I have a book out sheet from the dealer indicating my MINI has a Power Seat which it doesn't. That alone is a $1250 add-on although Dave Smith had it listed at $375. Either way it's not in my car. I tried to challenge that but was told I got such a good deal it didn't matter. That's nonsense and double talk and old school car sales crap. Of course too late now...for me. I was also charged $150 for a hand buff...HUH? And the document fee is $120. About $10 a page... holy shit! Bottom line...this is stuff that MANY DEALERS cleverly add on. Had I known that I would have balked. Lesson learned. In closing which is not directed solely to Dave Smith Frontier Sales force. I would highly recommend to any potential vehicle purchasers to look carefully at every little detail AHEAD of the SALE. Don't add on the extended service warranties (55% are never used) and the Auto Protection sealant packages (huge markup). Don't believe me? Check out Consumer Reports, or Dave Ramsey's advice. Both which could have saved me time and money had I done my homework in advance.

This is the type of "customer service" you can expect from Dave Smith. I haven't had anything to do with their horrible dealership since they screwed me over and sole me a lemon over 7 years ago. I randomly get an email for them asking me how it's going. I explain to them that they cost me close to $30k in extras for the truck they wouldn't take responsibility for. I was then met with an email that said "Don't buy a cummins with 270,000 miles on it then." First off, the truck I bought had maybe 50k miles on it, so they didn't even know who they were talking to (red flag 1). Secondly, is that how you expect to sell cars? I bet if there's a vehicle there with that many miles you'd gladly sell it to any "sucker" that takes the bait. THEN they look up my past issues that cost me so much money, and he responded with "how's your U-Joints?" mocking me for something that was no fault of mine. The U-Joints were properly lubricated the entire time I had the truck, but the previous owner didn't do it, long story short they seized, and exploded sending shrapnel through the transfer case and transmission. This was not covered by the warranty nor extended warranty due to "lack of maintenance". And even though I had proof of every service I had in the one year of owning the truck, Dave Smith told me to get bent. Now years later their employees want to bring up the past and mock me for my purchase. Garrett should get a raise, a real winner you have on your crew!

This dealership is not for the customer. I would not recommend buying a car at this car sales lot.

We visited Parker Subaru in Coeur d'Alene with no intention of buying a car…read more None. We were there to look, learn, compare, and maybe file the information away for some future decision. Apparently, Parker Subaru did not receive the memo. For context, my wife and I have purchased 22 Hondas over the years and currently own a 2025 Honda CR-V Sport. So, for us to break our Honda streak--and while already owning a vehicle in this same general category--says something. Yes, we were impressed with the Subaru Outback, but this review is not primarily about the vehicle. Cars are personal decisions. This review is about Parker Subaru, and especially about Kyrus Condon. The dealership itself checks every box: immaculate facility, comfortable design, wide selection of models, trims, options, and colors, plus an indoor service bay. Everything about the place felt clean, organized, and professional without feeling cold or corporate. And the people were even better. Every person we met was a true professional, including Vance Allen in finance, which is usually my least favorite part of buying a car. Vance made that process clear, comfortable, and surprisingly pleasant. But Kyrus Condon is the one who turned a casual visit into an outstanding experience. Think of the worst attributes people often associate with car salespeople. Now imagine the exact opposite. That is Kyrus. I am in my 70s, so naturally anyone in his 20s still qualifies as a "kid" to me. But from the moment he greeted us, we had the sense that he genuinely had our best interests in mind. Not as a sales technique. Not as a polished routine. It simply seemed to be who he is. Kyrus has the rare ability to make you feel like work is his excuse to meet people and try to make their day better. You cannot train that. You cannot script it. And then there was his knowledge. My wife and I could not get over his database. There was not a question we asked--and I ask more questions than a toddler on his first trip through a natural history museum--that he did not answer quickly, clearly, and accurately. At one point we began trying to manufacture questions just to see if we could stump him. Curses, foiled again! After our test drive--which was supposed to be nothing more than information gathering--we found ourselves asking Kyrus for the sale. That, I suspect, may qualify as a lane departure of its own. From there, the next steps were easy, pleasant, and refreshingly free of pressure. And that includes the pricing. I came in mentally preparing for the usual dealership dance, but Parker Subaru presented a price that beat both my best-case scenario and what I was already willing to pay. It did not feel like something we had to wrestle out of them. It felt like one more expression of how they do business. Parker Subaru earned our business. Kyrus Condon earned our trust. And now, somewhat unexpectedly, I find myself not only happy with the Subaru we purchased, but also contemplating whether our relatively new CR-V should be traded for an Outback Wilderness--because apparently, once Parker Subaru gets your attention, it does not let go easily. Highly recommended.

It was a hot afternoon and Steve came out to see what I was looking at. I'm very particular about the color of my automobiles, so I wanted to view the various colors. Steve said he had the one I wanted on the showroom floor which he did. I wanted a bunch of upgrades and he found the car in Parker's lot. Made the purchase & picked the car up the next day. When I spoke to the A J Carr Finance he reviewed the car protections that can be added. We talked and suggested a couple items, i.e., oil changes, chipped windshields, ripped interior...items I needed. I had a special coating put on the exterior of the car because I'm an outdoor gal which does a lot of gravel/dirt driving. When I arrived the next day, Steve was with another customer but that didn't slow all the other staff members down. The staff helped move a couple items to my new car, walked me through the car and how some of the new features worked. It was fabulous and I wish I would have purchased my first Subaru from them. The staff at Parker work as a team which is how I think every auto dealership and retail businesses should work.

From start to finish, he was incredibly patient, especially since I had to wait on insurance and things took longer than expected. Not once did he make me feel rushed or pressured; instead, he took the time to listen carefully, answer all my questions, and make sure every single one of my needs was met. He was also super helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny, which made the whole experience far less stressful and actually enjoyable. On top of that, he and the dealership were incredibly accommodating with my three wild kids who were tagging along, something I truly appreciated more than I can say. They were kind, understanding, and made us all feel welcome. If you're looking for someone who is professional, personable, patient, and truly cares about his customers, Jeff (JJ) is your guy. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would recommend him without hesitation! I also have to give a huge shout-out to JJ's manager (I wish I remembered his name!) who was just as fantastic, super helpful, absolutely hilarious, full of great stories, and even willing to babysit some munchkins while I took the car I was buying out for a test drive. That level of care and teamwork truly says a lot.

So, when I went back in he was to busy to help me and had another sales person help with the registration that he had trouble doing and I also saw a different finance guy that didn't give me the exact forms (corrected) I was given initially. Not too mention I was just sitting around waiting to be helped when I should have been helped immediately seeing how it was no fault of mine. I didn't return for my first maintenance until a year out as I only had 4,300 miles on the car, I had an appointment for an oil change and waited over an hour and a half? They looked at the sunglasses holder as it was loose and stated the part would be in 3-4 days, it's been two weeks and not even a courtesy call? So, I'd say customer service is lacking, attention to detail is lacking (paperwork) and detail in the get ready because my new car was filthy especially under the hood/door jambs.
