Bartender kept us supplied with cold beers. Beers were a good deal too, 5 bottles for 10 bucks. My friends and I enjoyed watching the game here, the place was kind of empty so it was easy to carry on a conversation. Bartender brought out some complimentary chips and salsa, I loved it and the salsa had a nice kick. Bathroom? That had to be one of the cleanest cans I ever received myself in. Didn't have a chance to try any of the edibles, pizza prepared for someone else look good. I will definitely have to come back, may next Sunday for the Playoffs.

I also asked for bread for the seafood gumbo. It came with butter and was enough for both of us. The soup was fairly decent. Not the best I've had but I would order it again. The portion was perfect as it didn't fill me up so I was able to enjoy dinner without feeling stuffed. His pork rib tips were divine. Melted in your mouth soft and the bbq sauce was delish. The atmosphere was fun and sports were on the tv screens around the lounge. But it was not too loud in here for conversation. You can also pick songs to be played using the music app. He suggested I use the restrooms in the restaurant portion of the building as they might be cleaner. They have a parking lot and a sign which says not to park on Natchez or Neenah as your vehicle might be ticketed or towed by police. They put up signs to show you which way to enter the small parking lot and which way to exit so be on the lookout for them especially during busy hours. I liked this restaurant and would return.

If you are a laid back kind of person, if you enjoy a game on a flat screen, a friendly atmosphere, a cold ale, great juke box and some down to earth, good, hardworking people, check out Daverns tavern. The place is super clean, has a nice long front bar, all the latest craft beer, top shelf booze, and probably the friendliest staff I have ever met. We rented out the back room for my sons birthday party and even though they had just had a party previous to ours it was spotless and set up perfectly. Julianna couldn't have been more helpful. Even though she had most likely been there all day, she was still there with a smile on when I left at midnight. The room has a fully stocked back bar with access to the beer garden ( which has bean bag games set up btw) and can hold probably up to 120 ppl comfortably. Our bartender was super cute and professional with great bartending and people skills. So if your in the mood for a classic neighborhood tavern, Daverns is the one. If your tastes run a little on the highbrow side, do yourself (and us) a favor, and hang out where YOUR tastes are catered to. read more

This place is absolutely a 10/10!!!!!! We threw a surprise party for my mother this past weekend and we were allowed to have the back room the entire day. We set up in the morning and was allowed to have everything ready until we came back. The owner/ boss man was awesome. He was so helpful with ideas on where to put tables, decorations, food, etc. He helped me and my sisters move things around until we got everything just right. He was so kind and didn't rush us and also would regularly check up on us to make sure everything was going smooth. If there was a problem he was willing to figure it out. We had a private bar in the back room and the bartenders were awesome. They were so laidback and fun. All the workers there were welcoming and helpful especially when it came to cleaning up. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Wonderful place to host a party or event!!!!! read more

Wow, y go into the city when they bring the city here. The staff is knowledgeable about the drinks and shots you want, very interactive and sociable. If there is something you want and they don't have it, just ask. I promise they will get it. The place is always clean and fresh. Davern's understands what they need to do to keep the customer happy. Check out open mic every wed. If you play or just sing, come here. They have a house band that will accommodate any request you have. Whether it's horse shoes, bags, beersbee or bocce, they have it . O and so i don't forget, they now have video poker and slots live so you can gamble legally also. Family operated and customers come first. You will not be disappointed. What more can I say about this place. It has everything I look for in a great bar. The service was exceptional, the prices were extremely resonable, and the cleanliness and decor was great. I went their on a Firday night for a Hawks game and the place was bumping. Found out they are an official Hawks Bar as well which was very cool. They played the horn everytime the Hawks scored. Also have a large back party area which had a DJ Friday night late. Nice looking young crowd came in, but not like at other bars in the area - this crowd actually was not full of dbags. This place gets much better on the inside. I have been there a few times and there always seems to be a good crowd there in the evenings. They always strive to have different events there all the time which is why the people come out. Drink prices are a good value, bottle of beer is $2.50 plus sometimes they have awesome specials like $3 U call its and even some $1 shots. They have at least 15 flat screen tvs so it is a great place to watch a game and the big back room often has music acts or DJs. My favorite part of this place it their big back yard, where they have bags, horeshoes, bocce ball plus concerts when the weather is nice out. I really enjoy going out there. read more

Davern's is a very friendly place. A lot of bars in the area are a complete mess, but they keep it very clean every single time I walk in. Its a family owned bar and you really get that sense when you walk in. They always have something going on. They even do things for there early crowd that don't want to be out late. usually something gets planned from at bean bag game to at trip to the bowling alley (USUALLY THESE ARE OLDER PEOPLE THAT LIKE TO HAVE FUN EARLY AND GO HOME.) And then at night the real fun begins from bands, slot machines (WHERE SOMEONE USUALLY WINS BIG) horseshoe darts even there staff is friendly and entertaining. Right when I walked in this place I felt something different. It smelled clean, everybody was smiling and having a good time, and the decor and setup was great, I went for a friends birthday in their new back bar. It was a great setup - the bar was packed, and the back room dance floor was poppin. The drinks really tasted great and the bartenders there were doing a great job. Also had a chance to step outside into their massive beer garden. Kids were playing bags and their was even a bar out there. Looks like they had a stage setup to for live music and DJs. What a cool spot. Would definitely go back to this bar for a great time and would recommend for anybody. :) read more

I truely love this bar. It's definitely a place that when you walk in and feel like your one of the family. I've had pretty much everything on their new menu and I must say, it's really good. Great specials and they have an open mic thing on Wednesdays that looks like everyone is having a great time. It seems to be more of a rock vibe but I have seen a lot of great talent of all different styles there. Love watching my fave games there too! Not only is this a great place to watch any sporting event(especially the Hawks) but it is a family friendly environment. From father to son & mother to daughter... you always feel welcome. Davern's Tavern in Justice is definitely THEE PLACE to be for Chicago Black Hawks games. Tons of televisions, plenty of seating to watch the game in the front or back bar, as well as outside in the beer garden. The beer is always very cold and they have food now. I got on their list to receive text updates so I always know what drink special are on a given day. Between periods there are five machines if you like to gamble. It's a clean safe place to relax and have a drink. read more

They have everything you want in a bar, good food, drinks, music and most importantly people. The owner is always around and always accommodating. We held a family party in a room at Daverns. The room was free..connected to the beer garden and we had 2 great bartenders. They let us bring in our own food too.The staff was friendly and courteous. When we went there on our own we had the most delicious stuffed hamburgers and fries. The Davern family that owns it is friendly and generous. Stay away from this place at all costs. The bartenders are rude and the place caters to friends of family and employees. They think they own the village and streets. If you don't know someone there they treat you like a criminal or you are trying to cheat or steal. There are other places close by that treat everyone like they should be as a paying customer.... They have two big rooms in the building and a bar in each room, plus the beer garden. Lots of room through out the place, Flat screens all over and super friendly people working their.
