I think I'll be bringing my car elsewhere for my service needs. I really wanted to like them because the sales dept was so great! UPDATE: you can't make this stuff up, after receiving my engine and cabin filters in the mail, I went to change the engine filter as recommended and one of the bolt on the filter housing cover was broken and the soft engine cover was cracked, this is unacceptable, how does a "certified" mechanic do this and not one replace the part he broke or at least explain and apologize?

Catherine was like that ideal server in a restaurant who is there whenever you need something, completely attentive, yet not hovering or high pressure. She was completely transparent and thoughtful. I also was impressed with the knowledge and thoughtfulness of another staff member, Cody. I can't vouch for the management or service departments because I wound up choosing to buy a car from another dealership but these two staff members definitely put Honda of Keene's best foot forward.

Worst car repair experience ever…read more Had to spend an extra $600 at VW dealership to correct Cheshire's mistakes. They used the wrong springs for my Jetta. The car was literally 5 inches taller in the front. My husband jokingly called my car the 'mini SUV' when he saw it, because it looked so awful. There was a large gap between tire and wheel well. My car felt completely different, clunky and stiff. They charged me $1,091 to 'fix' my car. I brought my car back, and spoke with the mechanic. I showed him the issues and told him he did something wrong, and I was guessing he used the wrong parts. He said the parts were 'new' and it would 'settle. Wait, what?! I brought my car to the Volkswagen dealership, and asked them to look at it, since Cheshire had messed it up so badly. Dealership told me that Cheshire used the wrong springs. How could they not have noticed how they made my car look, and how it handled? Also, when I first left my car for repairs, they didn't fix anything. I needed my car back, and I asked if it was safe to drive. Was told it was fine. It was not. I had to have my car towed because a large piece of spring snapped off. Another serious issue: They used the wrong oil in my Turbo engine. Their error could have ruined my engine. Ended up bringing car to dealership, to fix mistakes. Because of Cheshire's errors, I spent an additional $600 in labor. In total, I spent $1,691 on this repair. I told Dale I would be writing a review and sharing photos of their work. He said that was "threatening". He then told me there would be "retaliation".

Had a very frustrating experience working with this dealership. I agreed to purchas a car remotely…read morethe same day I called in, to have shipped, and the problems began right away. I provided my address and loan amount that I was looking for, and they sent me a cost breakdown. On 2 separate occasions, I let them know that the information on both was incorrect. Still, it showed up that way when they had to mail the paperwork to me via UPS. When I told them the address was wrong, they mailed it out again finally updated, and when I got all the paperwork back to them, they let me know that they forgot a form. All of these caused needless delays in the process that was pretty urgent for me. When I wired the money, I was given the wrong Business name, such that my bank would not accept the transfer online. I had to call my bank and explain the situation to them, where they corrected it, but this was after I was assured the incorrect name was accurate. On multiple occasions, I requested phone calls to talk through the process, and was only replied to via text. The several mess-ups and delays on their end were a head scratcher, and I am still waiting on my car over 3 weeks after agreeing to purchase. On top of it all, there was seemingly no contrition for each misstep along the way. I was pretty taken aback by the customer service experience, and constantly needing to track them down. Here I am, waiting for my car one day after the estimated arrival still with no firm date. The experience may be different in person, and I understand mistakes happen, but I would suggest buyer beware if you are not physically walking in to purchase a car on the lot today. I shared this frustration with them - of wasted time, of having no transportation access, and generally timeline uncertainty over something I was excited for - and finally received a call 20 hours later. I asked whether any concessions could be made for any extras at the very end and suggested floor mats, but was told no. I am still excited for the car, but it put a damper on the experience when you're waiting for weeks, without transportation, and don't feel like you're being given the time of day after they take your money.

He suggested a dealer would be better equipped to handle dash-related work. I dropped by the smaller of two Chevy dealerships near me, Walier Chevrolet in NH. The more senior of the gents at the service dept office right away knew my car's issue - disabled climate controls characterized by minutes of a loud drumbeat banging behind the dash whenever a door opened or the heat or A/C setting was changed. I was given a wide ranging cost estimate with my appointment for dropping off the car. To my relief, Walier was agreeable to letting me limit what I'd be able to spend if the problem turned out to be a worse case. The result: They had the car for 1 overnight (to obtain the needed parts) and they performed a perfect repair. The work was completed on schedule at a cost within my dollar limit. When dropping off the car I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Walier, the founder and patriarch of the dealership. He took time out of his busy day to give me a lift home - unexpected, but very appreciated! As a small business owner, I value small businesses. In contrast to larger car dealers with many locations, Walier is human-size dealership with a very nice team. My pleasant, down to earth customer experience was very positive and something other businesses can learn from. Next time I need another vehicle, I'll return to Walier!
