If you see the truck, YOU MUST STOP BY! Dave is a community staple and everyone from in and out of town should stop by and have one of his amazing dogs. My personal favorite is the BBQ Pork Dog (beef hotdog, coleslaw, pulled BBQ pork). Not only is it amazing, but Dave is so friendly and treats everyone with a neighborly attitude, even if it's your first time meeting him! Pros: I like the business. I eat there pretty much every weekend. It's just a little hot dog cart that's set up near the dog park. But the food is pretty good. They do good things for dogs and always have a charity jar set up for different causes. Also they'll give free hot dogs to your dogs. Cons: A little inconsistent. There are four staffers that I've seen. A middle aged woman, Dave, and a couple young men. If Dave or the woman make your food, you get ALOT more onion rings, and alot of more of your specified topping. (Like, Jalapenos for example. If Dave or the woman make it, LOTS of jalapenos.) If the two young men make it, you get fewer onion rings/ fries and fewer preferred toppings. It's good either way, and you're only paying like $6 for the food, so it's hard to complain. But it's noticeable when one time you get 20 onion rings, and the next time you get 5. read more

Man oh man I wish I'd known about this place sooner. You can never go wrong with a good old fashioned chili dog. But in my case old fashioned takes me back to living in Texas and eating a good Ole Frito chili pie. I make this reference because they have a frito chili dog option that is just to DIE FOR and for a great price as well. Highly recommend. What a great guy! He's very pleasant and generous with the food. He's got a nice menu with all sort of hot dogs specialties and tasty fried foods. He's very friendly and will make your dogs anyway you like it. The food tasted great! Hot dogs were amazing with nice soft buns and the fries were fresh and hot and he can season them in various ways. Is the food a "5 star?" Not really, but the service puts him in this category for sure and if you like hot dogs you won't be disappointed! I stumbled upon this food truck after my manicure and I was happy to see it! They do some great work with the Animal Shelter with their "tips". We try to find Dave's at least once every weekend. The tots with Old Bay are just fantastic and he's got outstanding whole onion- onion rings. We usually get the brat, Reuben dog or loaded hot dog. The food is good but the people behind it are the best. So incredibly nice, friendly.. .they make you feel like you're chatting with a neighbor or relative. Reasonable prices and the fact any tips go to the animals at the shelter is too cool. Thanks Dave, for an alternative to sub-par chain restaurants. read more

I think the reviewer giving 1 star for a silly comment is crazy. We stumbled upon this little gem yesterday while out shopping at Home Depot. There are few places to just get a simple hot dog in the area so it was a great find. I ordered the Memphis dog, topped with pulled pork and slaw. The pork doesn't have sauce added but there is a couple of sauces that can be added later. That hot dog was delicious. The barbeque was tasty and not the least bit fatty. The fries could be done with either salt or seasoned salt (Old Bay). I chose the latter. So good. A little heavy handed with the salt but still so good. My husband ordered the chili dog and really enjoyed it. We chose the larger combo that comes with fries, a can of soda, an ENORMOUS pickle, and a Moon Pie. For the price, it was a decent amount of delicious food. The owner and wife (?) were super friendly. He joked with us as we waited and seemed to really appreciate our patronage. Dave's dogs is amazing. The Po boy dog and chicken salad sandwich are my faves. Always get them with seasoned fries. Fried shrimp platter is also good. It could feed 2-3 people easily. Love this food cart. DC is inundated with generic dog carts and Virginia is full of "gourmet" carts with too-fancy food better left in restaurants. This is the best of both worlds- gourmet dogs simply done. I don't usually love hot dogs but the chicken salad is also awesome and the quick meal specials are cheap and easy. The guy who runs it is funny and accommodating, once adding pork to a dog for me when it wasn't on the menu. He likes to joke around which apparently isn't for everyone but I like it. Ask him his story - he's always wanted to do something like this. He's a regular local guy working his butt off at his food truck, not some hot shot entrepreneur adding to a long list of businesses. When I'm in Woodbridge, I'll seek his cart location on Facebook every time because I like supporting him as much as I like the food.
