Shake with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Top Loaded Shake
    Evelyn W.

The service was quick. Everyone was nice. The food took a couple minutes to come out, which is expected. The shake was a vanilla ice cream with cinnamon toast crunch on top. I wish there were chunks of the cereal mixed in versus it just being on top. The meal itself was OK very similar to raising Cane's

Two additional things. They do not provide water cups here - ridiculous trying to sell me a three dollar bottle of water. Also the cash registers are set up to default to a 15%, 20%, or 25% tip and no option for zero unless you go into custom settings which is a complete set up. Do better Dave's.

Pretty good. Would just stick to the sandwich as the fries were nothing special. I got the medium hot and it was a good level of spice for me. Service was quick. The Wynwood location has seating, but it's pretty limited and crowded at times, so don't count on being able to get a table.

Like everyone else, I've been seeing Posts, and NEWS Stories about Dave's Hot Chicken for the past couple of years or so. And I was excited when I saw they were coming to the neighborhood; a high traffic part of the neighborhood but close enough. I decided to drop in and give them a try. And I do Love Nashville Hot Chicken. The first thing I noticed was the place has a very colorful and minimalist design. The staff is great. The young lady who took my order was sweet and patient concerning this was my Virgin Voyage; she got me square away and I waited to see if it lived up to its reputation. Dave's has a small menu with a total of I believe 4 Combos and 5 or 6 Sides. Let's get to the Heat Leves; Lite Mild Mild Medium Hot Extra Hot Reaper (rumor has it that you need to sign a waiver before consuming). I ordered a two piece combo Extra Hot (because I can handle the HEAT) and an extra tender with the Kale Slaw, My buzzer goes off and I grab my order. Much to my surprise the tenders were much larger than I anticipated; I see why they're only two pieces per order. My first bite was good, spicy and tons of flavor! It got better as I chewed. Wait a minute! This is HOT! I mean DAMN HOT! WOW! Not expecting this level of HEAT! By the time I get to my third tender, my eyes are watering, and I'm sweating like I just finished a discussion with my father about my latest report card. After that meal, I believe the rumor about the Reaper Wavier! So, my next visit, I'll probably step down and Heat Level, maybe two. The chicken is good with lots of flavor. The tenders are big and meaty. And the Kale Slaw is delicious! I'll be back.....yes, I'll definitely be back. It's a must try!

Been hearing about Dave's Hot Chicken a lot. But never really was in the area to try it. But on our way to the Mall trying to find something to eat and we rolled past it and we said let's give it a try. It being our first time there the service was good the cashier was willing to explain the menu. But she didn't need to we kinda figured it out by reading the menu. Since I like spicy food I went and got the medium heat two tenders and fires. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't playing myself that's why I did the medium heat. The tenders were a decent size and kinda sweet which was a surprise to me. It wasn't very spicy; and the fries were just ok. Restaurant was very clean.

I have been looking forward to trying this place but I gotta say it was a bit of a let down. First the positives... the customer service was great! The place was clean and the order came out fast. Now to the not so great. The chicken tenders were so messy. The spice rub got all over my hands. Between the mild I got and the medium my daughter got, the tenders looked the same. I'm not opposed to messy foods but it looks like the spice mix mess from Doritos or takis, which is fine for chips but I don't want that on my chicken!! If I had put honey like they gave me it would have been worse. The fries were basic. They were like the froze ones you get at the grocery store that you heat up yourself. Nothing special. The white bread... well I just don't like white bread so I didn't eat it. Not their fault but it didn't add anything for me. I guess it might have protected my fingers from getting so messy but that's about it. Overall the chicken tasted fine but not as amazing as I was expecting.

Ordered takeout from Dave's Hot Chicken and it was absolutely from start to finish. I went with the top-loaded fries -- no slaw, no pickles -- and they were amazing. Even as takeout, everything held up perfectly. The fries were still crispy, the chicken was hot and juicy, and that cheesy, spicy combo on top was just unreal. It was messy in the best way possible and absolutely packed with flavor. I also grabbed an Oreo milkshake, and WOW. Thick, creamy, and loaded with Oreo pieces -- it seriously tasted like a dessert from a fancy diner. It was the perfect way to cool down after the heat from the chicken. Everything was fresh, packed well, and still hot when I got home. For takeout, that's impressive. Dave's knows how to do it right -- definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation.

If I knew this place was this good I would've got the burger and the chicken the fries were amazing the dip was so good and the honey second time trying first time was in Nashville this place is super good but there's no drive through...

Great place. It was around $17$ for the meal plus drink. The tenders are massive so two is more than enough. It reminded me of Chicken Guy that used to be in Aventura Mall and closed but better chicken and better value. I'm glad we found a new go to spot in the area.

Quick pit stop on the way home from shopping. Bright vibrant decor and lights and smiling faces when we walked in. After a quick glance of the menu I opted for their #1 tenders meal that comes with fries, pickles and slice bread. I got the hot and the reaper for which they made me sign a release. I can handle the heat it hit the spot. The chicken tenders are enormous and are powder coated with their seasoning. We ordered for take out and think we'll return with our boys to try the reaper.

I've heard about Dave's Hot Chicken through word of mouth and decided to order a meal during my lunch break from work. I ordered the Dave's #1 meal which was their 2 tender and fries meal. The sauce wasn't too bad though I felt like I ate a mix of ketchup and mayo altogether and a bit more sodium than I usually ingest. This is probably one of the best seasoned chicken I've ever ate in my life. I chose medium in case the spice was too spicy for me, but actually, the medium spice wasn't as spicy as I thought haha. Like I'd say the medium spice is definitely for beginners who like a little kick to it. Next time I come here, I'll definitely order hot because I love me some spicy food! The reason I chose 4 out of 5 stars was the service. The cashier was barely paying attention to the customers and was spacing out a little too much while I was trying to pick up my order. I don't know what was going on there.

One chicken strip for one a big sandwich? Disappointing

I was pretty excited like many other locals when I saw they were constructing a Dave's Hot Chicken in Aventura. I had seen a lot of social media hype over the restaurant so I was eager to try it. The service was great. The guys in the front were pleasant and gave their recommendations on what to try as a first-timer. The restaurant was spotless and clean, so I had no complaint about the ambiance. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the amount of chicken in my sandwich. I only had 1 strip in my sandwich, not sure if that was a mistake or how they came but it seemed kind of thin in my opinion. Other than that, I had no complaints.

When I saw they opened a Dave's hot chicken establishment in Aventura I had to go and try it out. Loved the decor of the Aventura location. I ordered the mild 2 piece tender with fries. The tenders was nicely seasoned and juiced as well. I tried the special sauce, and I was blown away from all the flavors. The cashier was nice enough to help me choose the level of hotness. This will be my new place to go for some yummy tenders

We've been hitting up Mediterranean restaurants like nobody's business on this leg of our spring…read morebreak, in part because of our proximity to many, and in part because my progeny and I are currently obsessed with babaganoush in its many variations. For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.

Because we had a large group, we ordered two veggie mezzas for the table. They come with grape leaves, baba ghannouj, and hummus, which makes them perfect for sharing. And the unlimited pita bread is always a win. The salad, so refreshing. The Lebanese cheese rolls are also amazing. Some of us switched it up and tried the spicy fish, sautéed shrimp, and the mixed shawarma platter. No regrets. The fish was so flavorful and the perfect size. LollllpThe rest of us stuck to the kabobs and lamb, which are consistently a safe bet. The space is great too. The huge windows give you beautiful lighting, and they have seating for large parties that still feels more private. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant is kosher. My husband and I shared a felafel platter. First off they bring a dish of pickled veggies to the table and a basket of fluffy pita -- even before you order. I really like the beet marinated turnips. Some of the "pickles" were a bit spicy for me but my husband liked them all. The felafel were wonderful. Perfectly cooked and still moist inside. You got to choose six salads from the "bar". We selected hummus, Israeli salad, babaganoush, beets, and a chunky eggplant. My favorites were the hummus and the eggplant. We were given extra pita as well. In addition, we got a side of beans and rice. The white beans were soft and flavorful as was the rice. My husband brought half home and had with his eggs the next day for breakfast (!). Our friends had a veggie platter and a salmon pita wrap. The veggie platter was their choices from the salad bar. The salmon was hot and freshly cooked and served as a sandwich with condiments added. They didn't have the knafeh (listed on the online menu) that my husband likes, but they did have bobka (cake) that looked great -- although we were too full to try it. Kosher food -- especially the meat dishes -- are exceedingly expensive now. Not being kosher, I had no clue, so some of the menu prices are a bit of a shock. However, if you stick to the appetizers and smaller dishes, and share, (portions are large) you will be okay price wise. I have a friend who lives near by and likes middle eastern food. I told her about this place and we are already planning to come here.
