Service has gone down hill since the new management and staff have taken over. I used to come to this location very often, a few times a month, since it was in the old location a few doors down. However ever since the move and new staff, going to this location has been more of a miss than a hit. Staff needs to be trained better. Mangement, if there is one cause it never seems to be a manager, seems to be more confused than the staff. I have had multiple issues when they rung me up. And when I asked to redo to ring up correctly, they need a manager or they don't know how too. I cannot recommend this place at all! Which is sad cause the food used to be good. Okay chicken kitchen has always been my favorite!! This is definitely my go to spot always. I usually get the deluxe and add cheese and you cannot forget the skin!!! The chicken is always fresh, amazing taste, never dry! All the bowls are honestly delicious like the bazooka! The service is always great, some actually already know our order by heart and know that the skin is what we must have always! and eating it there wraps the whole experience. Let me start this review by saying that I always like the food from Chicken Kitchen, but this location in particular has the most rudest franchise owner and his staff are learning this and projecting their frustration and bad leadership to their customers. We all know that when you order (in person or through UBEREats) the food doesn't have to be prepared and cooked... everything is already made unless they are running behind with the chicken but for the most part, everything is ready. I keep ordering from here and everything I say the same thing (I'll never order again) my delivery time has extended 4 times. I don't know if it's because they forget to alert the delivery service that the food is ready, but it's stays in Prepping Your Order forever... and then, all of the sudden it changes and 5 minutes later your food arrived. I came here yesterday for lunch after discovering that the Moe's in the same plaza is closed for renovations. It was a lifesaver to find something familiar so close by, but unfortunately, the good vibes ended there. First off, it is FREEZING! The temperature is clearly set for the comfort of the staff cooking over open flames and NOT the customers. It is the approximate temperature of a meat locker inside. At first, I thought it was me since I am part reptile and am always cold, but even Larry S. was uncomfortable and that man is NEVER cold! It was nearly empty inside and there was plenty of staff milling around but the service was still slow. The woman assembling the food was friendly enough, but the rest of the staff was indifferent, bordering on rude. We ordered the Bazooka chop (I think that's what it was called... it was the Mexican chop with guacamole) and the Cuban chop, chicken on the side. Bonus points for them handling the side chicken order correctly (I have been charged for an extra order of chicken at other locations). I cannot understand why the vegetarian chop is the same price as other chops that include meat, so I always order a variation that includes chicken and ask for it on the side. Larry S. is happy to have extra chicken on his chop! The food was fine; it hit the spot for sure. However, the amount of guacamole on the Bazooka was negligible. Also, since the temperature of the restaurant was so low, the food got cold very quickly. We spent about 5 minutes eating and then bolted for the door! Fortunately, the food holds up well and we "enjoyed" the rest of our meal sitting in the car. Not the best experience. read more

I go to this Chicken Kitchen every single day for lunch and I love it more every single time. Not only is the hospitality great but the food is even better. Never have I ever had a bad experience here, maybe average, but never a bad one. I love the way they make my deluxe chop-chop with some curry mustard all over it, delicioso siempre! They also have a rewards system, simply by punching in your phone number while you pay for your food, giving you points that can eventually lead to a free drink or meal! Now Listen - I don't like leaving bad reviews, but sometimes it must be done. I LOVE...yes LOVEEEE....chicken kitchen, but this particular location, makes me want to puke...yes puke. The places recently got an upgrade on the tables but before that they were the most warn down, rough, disgusting tables ever. At least they fixed that (on my last visit they had upgraded the tables but they were still dirty...last visit... literally because I will never go back, but read on to find out why) Now the staff there is never really nice - never really rude either. They are somewhat indifferent to whoever comes in. Mistake number 1 in my opinion. The food has always been solid - at least it hasn't ever gotten me sick. The MAIN reason I give this a 1 star review is the soda machine. On the last visit, as I got soda, the cap fell off and at least 30 dead bugs fell in my cup. YES, there was dead bugs INSIDE THE SODA MACHINE. Those caps hadn't been cleaned in years I bet. That is REGULAR maintenance, you must do. We refused to eat, and just left. I didn't even want my money back...we just left. I have not lost hope for my beloved Chicken Kitchen and since moving down south have visited a couple of them down here. Unfortunately I am sure they are run by different franchise owners, and they decided how to run the restaurant.
