I love how straight forward their menu is, you honestly can only get 5 different things (sliders, tenders, fries, mac, or slaw). so simple! but.. some people may say that's a con! anyway, I ordered a #3, which was a slider, a tender & fries with a heat level "medium." I will never order this again, they got my order wrong 2 times. I almost had to go to the ER from the lite mild, I was choking,coughing and wheezing. I told them NO slaw on both of them but we got slaw on both. My cousin broke out because she got Carolina reaper when she ordered mild, it took 30 minutes to get here. It was all tossed into the bag and they gave me a piece of bread when I asked for buns. Went there for a quick meal with a friend and sister. Dave's been on our list of places to try for awhile and when they opened they always had people out the door for weeks. We went there and the place inside is nice and very modern chic. The food itself wasn't that great. I loved the Mac and cheese. I ordered three meals. Two chicken sandwiches. I always say, if you don't want to wait in a long line, don't go somewhere when it first opens. All of the people who complained about long lines and big crowds and decided not to go (or to leave a bad review) for those reasons are MISSING OUT. The chicken was amazing, the fries were delicious and the line moved surprisingly fast. They're definitely on top of it with the service. Nice to have a Dave's in the Detroit area now. They more or less only do chicken and a few sides so the menu is very limited. That being said, the chicken is excellent. We ordered the medium to be on the "safe" side and even the medium has some good heat so be careful...and we like extremely spicy food. The so-called tenders are huge and actually more like large breasts so two is likely more than enough for most people. The service was fast and the tables turn quickly so you won't have to wait long if you are dining inside. We'll definitely be back. read more

Will never be eating at this place again. I did an online order via google because the website gave me the option. I ordered dinner for me and my husband. I got an email confirmation with it. My husband went to pick it up on his way home from work. When he got there, they claimed they just gave the order out to the customer. And this was not true ! I was at home waiting for home. The cashier who said her name was Celeese, said she just handed it out and gave my husband an attitude even after he showed them the confirmation. Then the store manager Jason, came out and accused my husband of being hostile and stated we ordered it on google 35 minutes prior to him picking it up. he had just got off work to grab it for us, I didn't know you could be late on picking up a carry out !? Like after 30 minutes you're SOL?!??! He carried on to say there was nothing we can do until my husband got upset he decided he would try to remake it. They kept claiming they didn't know what we ordered, but somehow they made it the first time and gave it away to somebody... then they saw it was a google order and tried to make it a problem that we ordered on google, but it's not our fault their website gave us the option, and either way they still fulfilled the order the first time they messed up! As well as the second time. It's ok I understand people make mistakes, what bothers me is the attitude and the accusations that isn't our fault, it's the employees mistake. Well worth the one hour and 15 minute wait (time from getting on line to getting food), which actually wasn't bad at all given it's opening weekend. Staff were great too! Food was ok. slaw and sauce compliments the chicken on the slider pretty well. Overall the chicken is overly salty and the seasoning on it is extra heavy (kind of tastes like taco seasoning.) Fries were not so good, cold/soggy, standard frozen crinkle cut. Chicken tender by itself is seasoned heavily and super salty.
