BEGINNING of the END: I received paper thin chicken and asked politely if Dave's is changing their chicken and how they do things. The person said this is always how their chicken has been. I asked if I can get a thicker piece of chicken because I have NEVER gotten chicken like this from Dave's ever. They said they would and then came back with a receipt for a refund and said the manager told them on the phone not to make my order. I am Muslim and have eaten at Dave's for years because it is halal but I can happily choose another restaurant. UPDATE same day: about 10 min later the shift lead arrives after I asked if I could speak with the manager that told them not to serve me. The shift lead was quite rude but I was extra polite and telling her I just wanted my food not a refund! So she then said I'll see what I can do, so I was hopeful. Then a couple minutes later the general manager of the location came in and walked up to me aggressively acting like she wanted to address it but wanted to tell me what happened and not listen to what happened. And I tried to say the same thing to her and she literally just wanted to kick me out of the restaurant.. I've never dealt with such rude behavior and hateful tone at a restaurant I swear to the man upstairs. The GM solidified that I am now done with Dave's hot chicken and will not spend my money here. yesterday, sunday, march 8th at about 7 pm, me and a group of my friends (about 16 of us) went to this location. we had just got out of music rehearsal and wanted to spend a nice, casual dinner together. when we arrived there were a good amount of people there, but by the time we had sat down there was almost no one seated outside where we were. since there were a lot of us, we had to put a couple of tables together. the shift lead (i am assuming, anyway) came out and started speaking to us with a bad attitude, saying, "i wish you guys would have told me you were moving the tables. you can't be blocking the sidewalk. my manager just called me and said you can't do that." ALSO BTW i didn't know it was mandatory to bother the workers about moving the tables if we were going to move them back. so we said "no problem" and moved the tables into an L shape so we would be out of the sidewalk but still able to sit together. this lady then came back outside, took a picture of us, and started talking on the phone. she came back again and said, "excuse me, i already told you guys you need to stop doing that and move all the tables back. you can't move them at all." one of us said, "okay, sorry, that was unclear the first time." and she responded, "yeah, you guys can't do that. my manager said." it made all of us really uncomfortable, but we had already got our food, so we just moved all the tables back and sat separately. it was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional interaction i've experienced. my friends and i will not be going back to this location, and i would not recommend it if you want to enjoy a nice meal with more than three friends. 0 stars if i could, but the mozzarella sticks were good if anyone was wondering. read more

This was one of the few places open at night on the 4th of July, so thank you Dave's. It was just my husband and I, and we had the tenders meals. One with cheese fries, one with kale slaw. They originally gave us Mac and cheese. This location always gets orders wrong. Oh well, easy fix. It was packed but we managed to get a dirty table that we had to clean oursleves. Dave, I know how great your sandwiches are. I wasn't planning on eating at your place today but my temptations got the best of me and I ended up having your mini sliders. It was good. Really good. The perfect amount for someone who didn't want to eat too much while maintaining the same great taste as a normal sandwich. The honey and the sauce paired with the fries? Fuhgetaboutit. But what I can't forget is how sticky my fingers got after going through your meals. How could I open the bathroom doors without getting honey and crumbs all over the handles? Look like a dinosaur by opening it with my elbows? Which I didn't even have the option to since the bathroom was in use during the duration of my dinner. First, I will say, the employees are always super nice. However, the wait is always long to get your food. Even if you order ahead, you get there and you still have to wait additional time. Then, today I go to pick up the order I placed online. I asked for the bathroom code to use the facilities. I'm told - new rule, bathrooms are only for people who are eating inside the restaurant. I observed staff handling trash and cleaning tables before prepping food all without washing hands or wearing gloves. To make matters worse, our order was given to other customers who handled the food before it was retrieved and handed to us. I had Dave's for the first time in almost 2 years. I was really craving hot chicken today. Wow this place went downhill, it just does not taste the same anymore. For starters, the portions got smaller. The chicken wow, between the 2 tenders, one was ok the other was mediocre. The fries were awful as well. I also ordered the new hot mozzarella stick to try and they took forever on one stick. It was ok, but the embarrassing part, to my surprise, was that it was better than the chicken. I really appreciate how the chicken has a blend of savory and slightly sweet flavors. I was hungry at the time, so each bite was quick even though the portion size was large. You restroom policy toward delivery drivers is singling out one of the most important parts of your business, delivery. If you insist that we make a purchase just to use the restroom, then I will never buy anything from you. This policy is the most ridiculous policy I have ever heard of.
