Came here during my lunch break and the service was fast and friendly. There are several tables inside if you want to dine in. You walk down the line and choose your toppings and sides, which makes the ordering process quick and easy. The food was good overall, but I was a little disappointed with the salad. Toward the end of a long day, close to midnight, I wanted something healthy to eat. That's when I saw a familiar face, Shah's face. I've seen him on social media helping others create delicious food for affordable prices at home. I had to try his halal food! I stepped into the store which was very clean. Good modern music playing, a mix of lofi mashups and hip hop. There was a large group of 8 in front of me but after I ordered the staff made sure to get my food out first, which I greatly appreciated. After eating this plate, I felt full but not heavy. Amazingly good food!!!! They have a variety of halal dishes and everything we've tried has been delicious. The bowls are nice so that you can get a little bit of everything from the counter like halal guys. The gyro wraps are messy but huge so you won't be hungry after. The cheeseburger and cheesesteak were surprisingly good! The bread on the cheesesteak was nice and soft. Service was quick and we didn't wait long as there weren't many people there. The service was pretty disappointing during my visit. I understand that having only two employees can make things slower, but for a busy, up and coming business, it seemed very understaffed. My friend and I went together, and while he was able to order, I had to wait while the staff continued working on previous orders. At one point, around four groups were waiting for their food, and it seemed like DoorDash orders were being prioritized over customers who were already there. What made the experience worse was the lack of communication. There was no greeting, acknowledgment, or reassurance that someone would be with us shortly. The food seemed okay from what I could tell, but the service overshadowed the experience. It was also surprising to see certain items running low around 9 PM when they're open until 2 AM. I ultimately left and went to Chipotle, and there were still four groups waiting for their food when I left. If you decide to visit, be prepared to wait 10+ minutes just to order, plus additional time for your food. Better staffing and communication would make a big difference. read more

The food is so flavorful and such a unique take on platters. I love that it came with chickpeas, potatoes, and black beans. The portions are HUGE. I had the platter in two sittings. The pita sandwich was my favorite because the pita bread for the gyro was sooo good i love when places do a thick pita instead of a thin wrap. Love that this place is open so late I feel like we're always looking for GOOD late night spots! Was craving Mediterranean food again and was in another time crunch and the Yelp search brought up Shah's. They're located off of Orangethorpe on the north side, west of Euclid. First observation has nothing to do with them, but with the location. I entered the parking lot on the east driveway and every time I tried to park there was some sort of sign that said it was designated for certain shops/restaurants or to-go drivers. I ended up parking further down facing Orangethorpe. When I left, the angle that I parked there was only one way to back out and turn, which was back towards the east driveway. When I was about to get to the driveway, some guy with a truck pulling a trailer pulled in and it forced me to drive in reverse down the entire length of the strip mall to exit because it's such a narrow strip. It's probably best to enter on the west driveway and park in the bigger lot there and walk down. I visited on Tuesday during lunch time and it was pretty dead. I was craving a wrap and asked for a Kofta gyro. The lady that took my order went to the back and disappeared for a while and I checked out the place. It's very nice, branding is on point and I learned this is a chain from New York. They are also open very late, until 2 am which is great because it gives more options than chicken sandwiches, burgers and tacos for late night food. The dining area is very clean and there was plenty of seating. They also sell their own white sauce. The lady came back with another lady, the gyro with the Kofta in it and then we started the Chipotle process of picking my toppings. I also purchased the baklava and took it home. Overall, my Kofta gyro was ok and the baklava had a more spice than I anticipated but still good. I think next time I'll try the chicken or falafel gyro or a platter but not the Kofta. What I like about this place is it's so close to where I live and for that I would come back and try more of the menu. Also, the late night closing time is such a plus because I'd prefer to eat something a little healthier than fast food and this place is clean inside so I would also dine-in next time. read more

First time here and I really like it! The staff were very welcoming and kind. This place is unique from other place there I've been to because you can add a lot more toppings. I got the combo bowl, which comes with lamb, chicken, and beef, and plentiful of vegetables of your choice. Typically, I find lamb at other places not very flavorful, but here, the lamb especially, the meat is nicely seasoned! I was really excited to try this place but it was a disappointment I had promised my wife I would take her here to try the Chicken and Rice after I got off of work but during work hours I had door dashed their chicken sandwich and was expecting perfect but the chicken came undercooked and I couldn't have been more frustrated. So I gave them a second chance the same day and went to go try their chicken and rice in person. Another fail, while I was eating i bit down on something so hard I hurt/chipped my tooth. I could only assume it was a bone. It's unfortunate because I love supporting halal places but this has been nothing but a failure this far. Update 11/16/25: The owner/employee has really gone out of his way to make it up to me and I cant say enough good things about them. My earlier experiences were unfortunate but they have started to take more care and have complained to their Corporate office about the quality of meat coming in. Best Halal food I've ever tried. The service is exceptional, even though they are very popular and tend to run out of the more "in demand" dishes; everything on the menu is superb. The server is always so enthusiastic about the food and gets excited to tell you how well the business is doing. Finally was able to get our hands on the Golden Shawarma! Before we did, we were able to get two platters instead, due to being sold out, and just the platters are amazing. Everything on the menu is so worth it to try and while I've only been here twice. I will keep continuing to come so I am able to try the whole menu entirely. I cannot begin to rant and rave enough. We love this place! read more

Staff were extremely friendly, service was above and beyond. Atmosphere is great, looks pretty. Sauces were also good. The food, portions, and the comparative price was the only issue. Food is not really bad, per se, similar to classic NYC halal cart, but the physical plate size is very small. I felt like I needed to ask for extra protein and there was basically no space. It's been a week or two since I was there but I remember it was at least or exactly? $3 for extra protein, all I remember was that it was more expensive to add a bit extra protein than when I buy poke, and fresh fish is much more costly for a business. Lastly, I remember the amount of hummus on my plate was maybe half a table spoon or less? I just remember paying around/almost $20? including tip and not being remotely full. Also, maybe these were just brand new shop things but the kofta was only chicken kofta, which I've never heard of :D Maybe they just didn't have the normal chapli kebab yet first few days of business open? Just feels like Naz's prob same taste better options/prices/portion? not sure haven't been there in a long time. I kind of feel bad leaving this review, if the staff weren't so nice and such warm people might've even went 2 stars. Didn't want to ruin the google reviews 5 stars, so wrote here, I'll prob feel guilty and change it to 4 stars later. The person ahead of me was placing a giant catering order and the cashier acknowledged me a few times in pauses, apologized for the wait (that wasn't his fault, and brought help from the back to take my order. The food was also delicious! I ordered the chicken gyro and they are fully custom created. Their food dishes up front are mostly very small and shallow so no food can wilt and everything was super fresh! I added beans, chickpeas, lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, hummus, and sautéed onion/bell pepper mix with white sauce (so good!!) and additional options include a salad (tomato lettuce cucumber cilantro), hot sauce, a cilantro mint sauce, and BBQ. Their menu is extensive too so less adventurous diners won't be left out with options like chicken sandwiches (regular and spicy), friend chicken, wings, and a burger and fries! Finally, the price point is unheard of in today's economy - especially for food so fresh!! I paid under $15 for a GIANT gyro that was completely overflowing the pita and a bottled drink! read more
