We love it here! Repeat customers and service has been consistently amazing. I usually order online for pick up and they have a lot of rewards/deals. Chicken is always hot, fresh, and flavorful. Love both grilled and fried. Not sure why they got rid of the Mac and cheese, but it was delicious.

    Campero Chicken Sandwich Meal

Honestly not bad.. but def not better than chickfila. Glad I got to try it and see what the hype has been about for myself. I don't think I'll need to go again in the future for another chicken sandwich but genuinely was a decent meal for today.

    I love this chicken!

Got delivery today from Pollo Campero today and it hit the spot! The chicken was nice and tender and so much flavor! The beans are so good and I'm not a huge fan of beans either! Chicken empanada was tasty too! Great snack!

This lot had been empty for quite a while and when I saw that Pollo Campero opened up, I wanted to try it out but I had quickly changed my mind due to all the terrible initial reviews. A week ago, I was browsing through my Instagram stories and saw that a good friend of mine had posted on her story with her family eating here so I had to ask if it was good or not. She told me it was good so my plan was to go there first thing in the morning the next day! Monday rolled along and cruised into their drive thru a little after 10 AM. I was greeted immediately via speaker and put my order in. Here's what I ordered: **4 Piece Special: It was a little extra salty for my liking but very delicious! I loved how crispy for exterior of the chicken was. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly. (4.5/5) **Empanada Trio: Could've been filled a little more but it was delicious! The chicken inside was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Wasn't a fan of the buffalo sauce but their signature campero sauce was quite delicious and very similar to chick-fil-a's sauce. (5/5) **Coleslaw: One of the best fast food style coleslaw I've had. Ten times better than KFC. (5/5) **Campero Beans: Delicious baked beans seasoned to perfection. (5/5) **Sweet Plantains: Ripe and very delicious! (5/5) Overall, spectacular experience from the drive thru to picking up my order to eating it at home. I personally liked this way more than El Pollo Loco at its peak about ten years ago. This place is very affordable and very delicious! If you're looking for fast Guatemalan style chicken, this is a must try. I will be back in the near future to try more of their items!

Pollo Campero is located on the corner of Orangethorpe and Lemon. It is easy to locate and access. There's sufficient parking. There's only one entrance (off of Lemon) which gives a direct path to the drive thru. We chose to use the drive thru today. It's spacious and well maintained (after all, it is a new establishment:)) The menu board is clear and pretty straight forward. While the speaker was clear and at a reasonable volume to the outside, the person taking orders from inside had a hard time hearing me and I ended up having to pull forward to the window to place my order. The worker was friendly and helpful, but she did not read back my order. I ordered the 30 piece nuggets and the 8 piece fried chicken meal. I requested ranch and campero sauce for the nuggets and chose campero beans, mac & cheese, and tortillas to go with the meal. Now, the menu board states that the meals cine with "mixed chicken", which o understood to mean white and dark meat, basically a whole chicken. That was not the case. When we got home, we had 4 thighs and 4 drumsticks. I think "mixed chicken" needs to be clarified on the menu board! All of that aside, let's chat about the food. First of all, price. I'd say that $22 for 8 pieces of chicken (just the chicken, no sides) and $35 for 30 chicken nuggets is expensive. So it comes down to flavor. The chicken was quite delicious. The breading was perfectly seasoned and not overly done. The mac & cheese was pretty standard. The campero beans, however, were SO good! Probably the best beans I've ever had anywhere. They're not refried and not just plain, boring pinto beans. They're perfectly tender and the sauce is a little thickened, not runny, just SO good! If I were rating the food alone, I'd give it a 10/10 and would gladly eat here 3 times a week. But factoring in the prices and the service, I'm more likely to come by once or twice a month.

LOCATION AND PARKING Pollo Campero is perfectly perched at the corner of Orangethorpe (City of Fullerton) and Lemon St (City of Anaheim). From the outside, it shines with colorful charm and a spotless, inviting vibe. Step inside, and you'll find a well-maintained space where the tables practically sparkle. The ordering system runs like a well-oiled machine under the leadership of Ray Sanchez, the General Manager, who commands the place like a seasoned ship captain steering his crew. His team? Absolute pros--polite, efficient, and clearly loving what they do. Ladies, no need to stress about parking--it's a breeze! There's plenty of parking out front and on the side. It's conveniently right next to Sonic, but don't even think about sneaking into their lot! Rest assured, you can confidently wear your cutest 2-inch kitty heels and still glide right in. Oh, and yes, parking is completely free. FOOD Confession: I used to swear by Kentucky Fried Chicken's coleslaw. But let me tell you, Pollo Campero has officially dethroned the Colonel's recipe. Their coleslaw? Ice-cold perfection--because let's face it, there's nothing worse than lukewarm slaw, am I right? And the chicken? Oh, baby. The crispy, golden exterior locks in a punch of bold, flavorful seasoning, while the inside is so tender and juicy it practically melts in your mouth. No raw surprises here--just pure, mouthwatering brilliance. I'm honestly blown away. And if you've been following my Yelp journey, you already know how picky I am. If this chicken passed my test, trust me, it's the real deal. AMBIENCE Pollo Campero is one of those gems where fast and easy meets pure satisfaction. Perfect for a quick lunch that fuels your day with flavor. Whether you're solo or hanging out with your girlfriends, this spot is a no-brainer for something delicious without the fuss. Super easy to find, spotlessly clean, and best of all? The food hits all the right notes every single time. Thank you Ray for ensuring that I had a great experience at your new restaurant! You have a YELP ELITE SQUAD Buddy here who loves your food. See you all again soon.

So here is my review. I've never been to a Pollo Camperos. I have been waiting since the place was built in my work community. It's clean and easy to find since its on the corner. It looked closed because there were only 4 cars in the little driveway. My order by drive thru. Their is two bright orange LED display before the windows. I almost passed the first then realized it was the second to place your order. I ordered the Campero Bowl. I asked for the Empenada Trio. The cashier told me it be a 5+ minutes wait time. I'm in the drive thru, so I asked it because who's got that ling if a lunch time? I instead added two Horchatas and a flan. Got to work and open the bag. Huge bowl was half empty. I did ask for no rice. But boy, this is not worth 9+ dollars. That's not worth the money. Taste: the chicken is crunch and delicious. The right sauce crunch and meat tenderness. But literally only two heaping spoons. It had a salad (?) Tomatoes that hit the bottom of the bowl drowing in the beans. The beens.. wow.. I'm a fan. And underneath to my surprise was a squirrel of guacamole. That was okay. And on the unders side of the lettuce was some roasted corn. That roasted corn was tasty. But one heaping spoonful. The Horchata regular cup. It's sweet and tasted like powder mixture. So maybe add more ice. That's a no for me. The Flan. It's creamy. Like it wasn't set right. Flan is supposed to be custard like. It's texture was too sticky. The sauces I wasn't expecting to like the Campero Sauce. It married well with the chicken. Overall. It's a may maybe. I might give it another try because the beens were tasty. The chicken was cooked right. But I don't feel it was a deal for my money.

Plastic in the 3 Three Piece Combo

Just pulled a piece of plastic out of my mouth, like it was fried into the chicken. Pretty sure I just ate some thinking it was a crispier part of the skin. I don't know how they prep anything but it was definitely cooked either into the chicken or the batter. Super disappointing, completely lost my appetite for the rest of the meal. What a waste for almost $18.

I've seen 3 Pollo Campero's in 3 different cities in the span of a year and finally gave it a try after a TikTok about it showed up in my algorithm and there was drive-thru line of about an hour or more (this was in another state), but here in California it's not crowded. Like I would drive by this location and think, "What are they opening so many in Orange County so fast and there's no line?" but now I'm glad there's a minimal line (at least when I've driven by at random times) because I'm a fan and don't want to wait long for their food. So it's chicken, they have fried and grilled, they have fried chicken sandwiches but no grilled chicken sandwiches, fried chicken nuggets AND they have plantains as a side, a long with the normal sides you'd find at other chicken spots. Their chicken has a slightly different flavor to it which is a nice break from the standard American chicken sandwich spots. I can't explain it but I think there's a slight hint of mint in the seasoning that give it a zing or a kick, a long with other spices. I've already visited 3 times and it's a great upgrade from a Chick-Fil-A or Raising Canes. The chicken sandwich is very good, the grilled chicken pieces are also super good and the chicken nuggets are great. I always go for the plantains as a side because where else can you find plantains at a drive-thru? They're perfectly cooked ever time with a crispy outter texture and sweet inside. Their fried chicken sandwich, I think , is bigger and better than Chick-Fil-A's sandwich. The chicken tastes fresher and looks better than the flat Chick-Fil-A sandwiches. You really get your money's worth here. The dining area is clean and the drive-thru is fast. I've ordered using the app and have picked up my order in the drive-thru easily. They messed up my drink order once, but I'd still go back. They're located off the 91 freeway and the Harbor/ Lemon St. Exit. Definitely give it a try and if you want a sweet but healthier dessert, grab a side of plantains from here, especially if you're on the go and don't want to wait in a long drive-thru line.

Wow. I've seen many of their restaurants but finally .ade the visit and glad I did. I went with the nuggets and cole slaw. They had to cook the nuggets so they were hot. The coating is very tasty a deli perfectly seasoned. The cole slaw was nice and fresh with a nice crunch. I went with their sauce which is like a bbq sauce and mayo mix and was good.

    Close restaurant!!

I've never seen a fast food restaurant or been to a fast food restaurant that closes this early I have literally been here four separate times to get something to eat. I work late, but I've never seen a fast food restaurant close before 9 o'clock. I came once when they first opened, but I have yet to catch them open, so unfortunately, I'll have to start eating someplace else. It was good while it lasted the one time I ate.

On-line it states combos comes with a side and a drink.

At this location's drive thru at 7:54pm a female staff member tried to take my order she was nice at first but then there was a bit difficultly probably due to her hearing piece and my low voice. I try to speak louder and ordered 2 spicy sandwich meal. She asked for my sides. I gave the order but she didn't ask what I want for my drinks. So I ask her if the combos come with a drink, she said no. She said drinks are extra. I look up on-line that the sandwich combos do come with a drink. After I paid, they told me to pull to the front because it will take longer for the yuca fries. Order was placed at 7:56pm, I waited till 8:10pm no one came out. So I walked inside and I see an order waiting on the counter. One female staff just standing around and another female staff came from the back ask what I need and I show her my receipt. She was oh your yuca fries just finished. But she didn't add the fries into the bag, it was already in the bag. She just added the hot sauce and ketchup. Then I took my fries and yuca fries it was not freshly hot it was room temperature warm. So it seem like they were going to leave my order at counter there for awhile.

Came in for some dinner tonight, The store was clean and staff were very welcoming and friendly, Service was excellent and the food was incredible. The chicken was packed with flavor and the right amount of crisp. Mac and cheese was cheesy but not overwhelming and the roll was even bomb too. Everything came out hot and in great time. Great experience.

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Simple in ingredients, but tasty as all when thrown together! Seasoned perfectly, and it comes with some bomb garlic sauce - so long as you like garlic I recommend to apply heavily as it only adds to an already wonderful treat! The service was quick and friendly, there's a constant line and they're all working hard to make the show go and serve up the goods! They have a handful of tables and chairs, but getting a seat is going to come down to timing. Don't let that deter you though, make new friends, eat while standing, I promise once you're a few bites in you won't be worried about much else. The whole street is a cool atmosphere, come and check it out for sure, and when you do I hope to see you here @ Arepas St. :)

Tried Arepa Street for the first time and wow... my first experience with Venezuelan food did not…read moredisappoint. I ordered the Pepitos (carne asada, grilled chicken, bacon, potato sticks, corn, tomato, lettuce, onion, cheddar cheese, and Venezuelan dressings) and it was LOADED. Every bite had so much flavor and texture crispy, savory, a little messy in the best way. Definitely a fork-and-knife situation. I also got a Maltín (a malt beverage), which paired perfectly with everything. Pro tip: eat it there while it's fresh and hot it makes a difference. They have tables set up in front so you can sit and enjoy your food, and each table has a condiment basket which is super convenient. They're credit card friendly too, which is always a plus. I didn't try the arepas this time, but they looked and smelled amazing completely stuffed and honestly defying gravity. I'll definitely be back just for those. If you're in the OC area, this spot is worth checking out!

Highly recommend the margaritas (cucumber, spicy jalapeño, and orange all good). Excellent tacos…read moreand enchiladas. Interior has a club vibe with neon lights and club music. Reminds me of the Coco cartoon/movie.

We came in last night at 8:30. I had put in a reservation on Yelp ahead of time just in case there…read morewas a wait. When we got there, I let the server know but it didn't seem to matter because he didn't ask my name or time, he just seated us. That works for me! Glad we didn't have to wait, we had to make it a fast meal! We waited about 5 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress. I had seen they had just started serving the soft serve margaritas on their IG and I was SUPER excited to order one! I asked our waitress (Rosie) what flavors were available and she had to ask someone else. Ok, no worries, they had mango and strawberry. I asked for a swirl. My husband ordered a shot of patron anejo sherry cask. She did not seem to understand what he was asking for even though it was an item listed on the menu. He repeated himself a couple times and even pointed to it on the menu before she said "I'll have to check with the bar" she took the rest of our order which consisted of another cocktail, the empanadas, and an order of enchiladas. She left for a bit and came back saying they had his tequila. Then another waitress came back a few moments later asking how he wanted his tequila. After our order was in, we received our chips and salsa. The salsa was delicious! Not too long after, my empanadas came out and they were overdone. Burnt. The pastry was bitter, but not just because it was overcooked, but because it seems like the oil was old. The filling wasn't what I was expecting, but it was tasty. My husband's enchiladas were good. I had one bite. After our meal, husband ordered one more cocktail and the dessert chimichanga. Same bitter oil taste on the chimichanga, I wasn't a fan. When we were brought the check, it turns out we were overcharged for the tequila. We brought it up to the waitress and she told him he ordered a different one when he had repeated "patron anejo sherry cask" to her multiple times. I don't even know if there's more than one sherry cask tequila on the menu! Anyway, she was able to adjust the bill to charge us for the correct tequila but the husband still didn't get to drink the tequila he wanted. Oh well.
