    Wagyu Pastrami sandwich
    Andrew H.

Been meaning to try the one in Costa Mesa but was nearby so tried this location instead. Just keep in mind the one here has a significantly smaller menu and does not do the $10 special everyone is talking about! Tried the Wagyu pastrami sandwich on recommendation from the worker there, and it definitely did not disappoint. The flavors were so well balanced and there was a lot of pastrami on it--it is not the type of pastrami that gets really oily and is cut into smaller strips; it's more of a deli meat pastrami type. Honestly, I couldn't tell it was anything special from being Wagyu, but everything else on the sandwich and the crunch rye bread was very much perfect. The balance of flavors was great. The only thing that might take you aback is the price--$22; it does come with a can of soda and chips, but it's not like the sandwich was incredibly huge. That being said, the sandwich alone made me pretty full! For a sandwich arranged at essentially a deli counter, it tasted much more gourmet than that. I picked up a couple Wagyu burger patties as well to cook another time, we'll see how those turn out. But overall, the food here definitely made me want to try the Costa Mesa location! If price is not too big of a deal to you then definitely stop by. If you like pastrami sandwiches you'll like this place. The prices on the raw Wagyu meat, like others have said, aren't super cheap, but it's convenient that it's here. Inside has a nice deli vibe to it, just keep in mind there's only a few outside small tables there, so if it's busy you might not be able to sit. You won't want to eat the sandwich in your car--it gets a bit messy!

My second time coming here (i'm editing this because i made a review for the costa mesa location). this time i got the pastrami wagyu sandwich. The only difference between this and the grilled cheese i got at the other location was only one kind of cheese and no carmelized fig jam. I honestly prefer the grilled cheese just because there's three different cheeses but this was still delicious.

Finally had the chance to try this place out after seeing videos of their burgers in the Costa Mesa location. The Brea location is a small cozy deli like spot selling expensive cuts of Wagyu and premium marinated meats. This location did not offer the burgers but had the entire sandwich menu. With the help of the friendly staff members I ordered: the Smoked and Wagyu Pastrami Sandwiches and the Hot and Cold Trio Wagucci Submarine. Each of these sandwiches were expertly constructed in front of you and served with a complementary side of chip and soda. You can tell that these people put their time and attention into making these. When I say these are some of the best sandwiches I ever had, I mean it whole heartedly. I highly recommend getting the Wagyu pastrami smoked or by itself on a marble rye bread over the Trio hot / cold subs on a roll. The meats they use in these sandwiches are incredible and worked perfectly with each component of the sandwich. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new sandwich spot to give this spot a shot. Will definitely be back to try the other items!

I enjoyed the house sandwich! The wagyu and the steak sandwiches were good options too. The sandwiches are pricy but it comes with chips and a soda. Service was good.

This place is a wagyu lover's dream. They sell Wagyu by the pound! The atmosphere is fun, where the employees sing and dance, and you can tell they love their job. The Wagyu pastrami sandwich was delicious, the meat was so tender and unlike other pastrami sandwiches, it wasn't overwhelmingly salty. It was super delicious. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 star is because of the price point. It's pretty pricey, $23 for a sandwich, although it included chips and a drink. Otherwise it was great!

Your boy had the best pastrami sandwich of his life. This sandwich was so satisfying , with the crispiness of the rye bread, to the understated sauce, and most, especially the guest of honor, the Wagyu pastrami: phenomenal. Make sure you get the smoked wagyu pastrami. Smoked Wagyu pastrami sandwich, 10/ 10 With taxes and everything , with one drink and a bag of chips ( get voodoo heat - tangy salt & vinger with a kick) everything came out to $26.

Simply awesome smoked wagyu pastrami sandwich! I typically don't like pastrami but this one I will eat over and over. Yes, it is expensive! But completely worth it.

I just tried this place for the first time and the smoked wagyu pastrami was LIFE CHANGING. Literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. Some sandwich shops stuff more meat into their pastramis but it's usually too dry and stiff. This one was just the right amount of meat and super high quality. For some wondering why it doesn't have more meat for a pastrami, it's about quality not quantity! 11/10!

Maybe it's because I ordered through Uber Eats, but I suggest you go in person just so you reject it if it comes out this way. But as a meat shop first and a sandwich shop second, they have no business charging what they charge, having pictures like they have and give me this type of sandwich. It's literally two pieces of meat. From a quick look from their photos, this sandwich is the smallest I've seen. I'll give a +1 star for flavor. Even 2 stars is generous. ** here's a counter to the owner update and I'll drop my review from 2 star to 1 star While it's fair what he said and make sense from a business. It's still misleading if that "gotcha" was not clearly stated in Uber Eats. It still states 3oz and as a normal sandwich. I hope this reviews stays up, so others can see how deceitful they can be and by their logic, a discount means they can reduce portion as they see fit. "50% off, but we'll remove 50% portion." It's something to laugh about.

Stopped by this butcher/deli for lunch. Wagyu pastrami seems to be their go speciality for fancy sandwiches. About $23 a sandwich for any of the wagyu ones. The trio with Dutch crunch bread had roast beef, ham, and pastrami was quite good. A little pricey, but that's what happens with the wagyu mark up. Was good, but not sure I'd be a frequent customer. Maybe I'm not skilled enough to tell the difference.

I picked out one each of Prime Ribeye, Prime NY Strip and Prime Filet. Didn't cook them till Sunday night and they cooked up super flavorful, juicy and tender. They even have prepared food to go here and after getting my meat order the butcher was kind enough to offer me samples of the Ranch Chicken Wings, Habanero Wings, and the Birria. All of them were really good but the Birria melted in my mouth. I think I just looked at the butcher and said Wow, waited a bit, then said Wow two more times. Forget the local restaurants. If I'm ever in the area looking for a place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate to come in here and get that food-to-go. PS. Even the driver that blocked me from getting over to the exit, forcing me to the next exit, which made me drive miles out of my way, couldn't erase how good this place is.
