    Wagyu Pastrami

I order the wagu pastrami. I think maybe I misunderstood the culinary style so I totally missed the beauty nature of wagu itself while I choose pastrami. To be fair, the food is tasty. It is gonna be hit for a meat lover. However, I cannot feel this sandwhich worth $24. Maybe the best way to enjoy wagu is save this $24 and buy the wagu shabu shabu in Japanese supermarket and cook by myself, if I really want to enjoy the wagu.

This spot was recommended by my colleague. Since I mentioned loving The Hat pastrami. I got the smoke pastrami. Came with a drink and chips, for $25. Asked for pickles on the side. Which I'm glad I did, it definitely needed them. Too bad yellow peppers didn't come included. I needed that extra kick. The meat is fresh. The bread is very tasty but I guess I was expecting more. I'll try their other pastrami next time. See if that one hits the spot. Loved the ambiance, very lively. Location is clean. Different sides, spices, seasonings and salsas sold here. Everything looked delicious.

Been meaning to try the one in Costa Mesa but was nearby so tried this location instead. Just keep in mind the one here has a significantly smaller menu and does not do the $10 special everyone is talking about! Tried the Wagyu pastrami sandwich on recommendation from the worker there, and it definitely did not disappoint. The flavors were so well balanced and there was a lot of pastrami on it--it is not the type of pastrami that gets really oily and is cut into smaller strips; it's more of a deli meat pastrami type. Honestly, I couldn't tell it was anything special from being Wagyu, but everything else on the sandwich and the crunch rye bread was very much perfect. The balance of flavors was great. The only thing that might take you aback is the price--$22; it does come with a can of soda and chips, but it's not like the sandwich was incredibly huge. That being said, the sandwich alone made me pretty full! For a sandwich arranged at essentially a deli counter, it tasted much more gourmet than that. I picked up a couple Wagyu burger patties as well to cook another time, we'll see how those turn out. But overall, the food here definitely made me want to try the Costa Mesa location! If price is not too big of a deal to you then definitely stop by. If you like pastrami sandwiches you'll like this place. The prices on the raw Wagyu meat, like others have said, aren't super cheap, but it's convenient that it's here. Inside has a nice deli vibe to it, just keep in mind there's only a few outside small tables there, so if it's busy you might not be able to sit. You won't want to eat the sandwich in your car--it gets a bit messy!

My second time coming here (i'm editing this because i made a review for the costa mesa location). this time i got the pastrami wagyu sandwich. The only difference between this and the grilled cheese i got at the other location was only one kind of cheese and no carmelized fig jam. I honestly prefer the grilled cheese just because there's three different cheeses but this was still delicious.

In elite Wagyu sandwich honestly wish they had better chip options. Their service was very attentive small little shop. I will definitely try their sandwich again more pickles, please!

I enjoyed the house sandwich! The wagyu and the steak sandwiches were good options too. The sandwiches are pricy but it comes with chips and a soda. Service was good.

This place is a wagyu lover's dream. They sell Wagyu by the pound! The atmosphere is fun, where the employees sing and dance, and you can tell they love their job. The Wagyu pastrami sandwich was delicious, the meat was so tender and unlike other pastrami sandwiches, it wasn't overwhelmingly salty. It was super delicious. The only reason why I'm giving it a 4 star is because of the price point. It's pretty pricey, $23 for a sandwich, although it included chips and a drink. Otherwise it was great!

Finally had the chance to try this place out after seeing videos of their burgers in the Costa Mesa location. The Brea location is a small cozy deli like spot selling expensive cuts of Wagyu and premium marinated meats. This location did not offer the burgers but had the entire sandwich menu. With the help of the friendly staff members I ordered: the Smoked and Wagyu Pastrami Sandwiches and the Hot and Cold Trio Wagucci Submarine. Each of these sandwiches were expertly constructed in front of you and served with a complementary side of chip and soda. You can tell that these people put their time and attention into making these. When I say these are some of the best sandwiches I ever had, I mean it whole heartedly. I highly recommend getting the Wagyu pastrami smoked or by itself on a marble rye bread over the Trio hot / cold subs on a roll. The meats they use in these sandwiches are incredible and worked perfectly with each component of the sandwich. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new sandwich spot to give this spot a shot. Will definitely be back to try the other items!

Your boy had the best pastrami sandwich of his life. This sandwich was so satisfying , with the crispiness of the rye bread, to the understated sauce, and most, especially the guest of honor, the Wagyu pastrami: phenomenal. Make sure you get the smoked wagyu pastrami. Smoked Wagyu pastrami sandwich, 10/ 10 With taxes and everything , with one drink and a bag of chips ( get voodoo heat - tangy salt & vinger with a kick) everything came out to $26.

I just tried this place for the first time and the smoked wagyu pastrami was LIFE CHANGING. Literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. Some sandwich shops stuff more meat into their pastramis but it's usually too dry and stiff. This one was just the right amount of meat and super high quality. For some wondering why it doesn't have more meat for a pastrami, it's about quality not quantity! 11/10!

Sauce: Thin Texas style sauce. Yes, its ketchup base but there's a bit if complexity going on in there. Spicy has a good kick and decent flavor. Meats from good to great: Ribs. Well smoked, good flavor, unique rub that my gf and I both enjoyed. Definitely something I'd order again. House Sausage: comes peppers & onions style. Definitely Kielbasa, obviously house made or made for this restaurant. Color gives it away. I'm really impressed. Only complaint, I'd like more peppers and onions next time because they were delicious. Smoked Turkey: double smoked breast meat that was absolutely phenomenal. I did not think it would be that good. Tri Tip: the rub on this absolutely blew our minds. Cracked black pepper and Santa Maria style. Better than the places I had in SLO (San Louis Obispo.) Sides, in no particular order: Greens were good. Best I've had in OC, but most places in OC dont even offer greens. IMO, better than Georgia's greens, which are above average. Baked Beans: average, little too watery, good flavor. Fries: above average, good seasoning, would order again Mexican Corn: Its elote folks. Pretty good standard elote at that. My gf and I will definitely be back. I'd say its definitely top 5 in OC that I've tried.
