Bottom: aloha plate with Kalua Pork and Hawaiian BBQ Chicken

Can't believe we've never tried it before, their Hawaiian BBQ is absolutely delicious!! Their island plates are great value too, as the portion size makes the price absolutely worth it (I could share one plate with my boo and totally be full). Mac salad is good, and you can sub for fresh mix salad for $0.39. Came again the following week because it was just so good. Got the: 1. Mixed BBQ plate ($16.99) : 9.5/10, love that they give you Kalbi, BBQ chicken, and beef. All the meats were juicy and tender and oh so delicious. Definitely my favorite 2. kalbi plate ($17.99) : 8.5/10. Scrumptious with decent portions, but can't beat the variety in the mixed BBQ plate 3. island fish (8.5/10): ordered it because we overheard the staff tell a customer they cook it to order so there might be a wait. It was crispy and good with the tartar sauce 4. Kalua pork: pretty reflective of what we had in Hawaii 5. Island fire chicken (7.5/10): although the name says "fire", it isn't spicy to us, though it has a small kick at the end. TLDR: don't look down on this chain, it's amazing! And there's a drive-thru too!

Came here for dinner on their grand opening. I ordered the BBQ and Katsu Mix, along with some crispy shrimp on the side. The server was really friendly and even suggested us to order an extra crispy shrimp so we could take advantage of the BOGO deal that day. The portions are a good size, I had leftovers. The food was good overall, but I do wish the chicken katsu had more chicken and less breading. The interior is clean and nicely laid out, and drive-through lanes will be available in the future. Parking was easy too.

This newly opened store is the second Ono's Hawaiian BBQ in Anaheim. Parking: Located in the Walmart shopping plaza, this place has tons of parking right next to the store. Ordering: This location stands out because it has two drive-thru lanes, which is rare. They also offer mobile ordering so you can get in and out quickly. Inside: Pretty modern dining room here. Space for 68 people. Very nice and clean. There's also a patio if you prefer to eat outdoors. The Food: The food is consistent here. I got the chicken katsu and BBQ chicken. Both are solid if you are looking for recommendations. They got the food out pretty quickly. Less than 10 minutes during lunch time. Overall, if you're craving Hawaiian BBQ, stop by. Especially with it being new, I'm sure there will be some deals.

Came here on the evening of their grand opening. They had a BOGO for today (12/19) only. There was a medium-sized crowd inside, most of which were people waiting for their orders. We got a chicken and beef combo and a kalua combo. Portions are decently sized and can feed 1-2 people. The proteins were all gently seasoned. It was about a 25 minute wait after placing the order. The drive-thru has two lanes but they're not open yet. The restaurant was very clean inside and the staff were consistently refilling the condiment station.

Good THICK lemon pepper chicken breast! This is what I'm talking about I could come here everyday!

I've come here a few times now and the food up until recently was really consistent and tasted great and had great portions. I'd come a few times a week for lunch but as of recently a few times now I'm given this weird flat chicken that taste really bland and isn't seasoned correctly. It's completely intentional because I noticed that when I get the flat flavorless chicken there's more rice and salad vs when I'm given a regular thick piece of breast the sides are a little smaller. I've attached pictures so you can see yourself. I'm going to give it another few chances but if they keep up the bullshit I'm just going to ask for a refund cuz nahhhh not today Satan!

I absolutely love Ono Hawaiian barbecue and especially the specific location. They just opened recently and what's so cool is they have a drive-through and the building itself is brand new very clean. The staff was very helpful and quick. I ordered my food on my drive and when I arrived, it was already prepared. Outdoor patio is nice and clean as well.

Decided to try Ono since it recently opened and have not been a big fan of Hawaiian bag places..Glad I tried. Lots of choices at reasonable prices in this time we all need to save..I tried the combo plate with beef and BBQ chicken with rice and veggies and I opted for a spring salad at an extra .25 cent..such a deal..and FYI if you allergic to fish. The macaroni has tuna mixed in..and so glad they have this on the website and on the menu..love macaroni but allergic to any fish.. I inside is clean with plenty of seating..order was fast and my to go was ready in about 15 min or less. I recommend this place and there is a Hawaiian sun soda as a choices of drinks..I got the luau punch..love it

Got a chicken katsu plate for $7! A deal they're promoting. Use code "HNY2026" deal only works when you order a Aloha "pick one" plate

Passed by to get a quick lunch. Got the Hawaiian bbq mixed, portions were small and the meat lacked flavor. Won't be coming here anymore.

The star of the meal was the Furikake Chicken. It tasted SO GOOD. Chicken was a little dry, but the flavor makes up for it. Pork belly was good and pretty tender. Mac salad was not bad, with a strong bonito flavor, and the coleslaw was a bit bitter. Loco Moco was decent. Limeade was definitely sour, but my husband enjoyed it. We ended our meal with one mango and one coconut cream malasada. Donut was hot and fluffy, and the cream was pretty good... just VERY sweet! If I'm ever in the area, I would come back for the Garlic Furikake Chicken bowl, and to try their spam musubi!

From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.

The chicken katsu was solid, not as crispy as I would like but I did take it to go so that factors into that. The teriyaki chicken was outstanding, perfect flavor, a slight sweet char taste where it was flame kissed, I would order this again and again! Their Mac salad is different from what you get from an Aloha or Ono, not as sweet and didn't have the tang but even with that I enjoyed it and would eat it again. The only thing I would skip next time is the musubi. While it was okay in flavor the ratio of rice to spam was so far skewed it didn't seem worth it. Flavours were on point and textures and sizes were pretty decent too. Why 3 stars? It's pretty pricey. For nearly $40+ worth of food, you don't feel like you got a meal out of it. It's hard for me to say if it's "worth it" because they did do a fantastic job with how everything tasted. The only item I was kind of disappointed in was the Korean bbq taco. The meat was smokey and flavorful, but lots of fatty chewy pieces and occasional rare piece. That's me being picky Overall I would recommend as a novelty type place. Still hard to justify $ to quality and quantity but I wasn't disappointed in the items. Wish they sold the seaweed chips they make the tacos out of. I'd totally get those on the side
