I opted for all salad and just picked off my boyfriend's plate for the rice. Everything was very tasty (even the dressing!) and it came with croutons. Very clean as well. I've been a customer here, but the quality control and packaging have really gone downhill, and basic issues aren't being addressed. - ​Soggy Steamed Veggies: They desperately need a better system to drain the water completely out of the steamed vegetables. Serving them dripping wet makes the food completely unappealing and turns the rest of the plate into a soggy mess. - ​Leaking Packaging: Even when double-wrapping the container in plastic bags, sauce and liquid still leak everywhere every single time. Came here for dinner on their grand opening. I ordered the BBQ and Katsu Mix, along with some crispy shrimp on the side. The server was really friendly and even suggested us to order an extra crispy shrimp so we could take advantage of the BOGO deal that day. The portions are a good size, I had leftovers. The food was good overall, but I do wish the chicken katsu had more chicken and less breading. The interior is clean and nicely laid out, and drive-through lanes will be available in the future. Ordering: This location stands out because it has two drive-thru lanes, which is rare. They also offer mobile ordering so you can get in and out quickly. Inside: Pretty modern dining room here. Space for 68 people. Very nice and clean. There's also a patio if you prefer to eat outdoors. The Food: The food is consistent here. I got the chicken katsu and BBQ chicken. Came here on the evening of their grand opening. They had a BOGO for today (12/19) only. There was a medium-sized crowd inside, most of which were people waiting for their orders. We got a chicken and beef combo and a kalua combo. Portions are decently sized and can feed 1-2 people. The proteins were all gently seasoned. It was about a 25 minute wait after placing the order. I've come here a few times now and the food up until recently was really consistent and tasted great and had great portions. I'd come a few times a week for lunch but as of recently a few times now I'm given this weird flat chicken that taste really bland and isn't seasoned correctly. It's completely intentional because I noticed that when I get the flat flavorless chicken there's more rice and salad vs when I'm given a regular thick piece of breast the sides are a little smaller. They just opened recently and what's so cool is they have a drive-through and the building itself is brand new very clean. The staff was very helpful and quick. Lots of choices at reasonable prices in this time we all need to save..I tried the combo plate with beef and BBQ chicken with rice and veggies and I opted for a spring salad at an extra .25 cent..such a deal..and FYI if you allergic to fish. The macaroni has tuna mixed in..and so glad they have this on the website and on the menu..love macaroni but allergic to any fish.. I inside is clean with plenty of seating..order was fast and my to go was ready in about 15 min or less. Ono is consistent. I normally don't care for Hawaiian BBQ but since they opened this location and it's off Orangethrope and the 91 fwy WITH a drive-thru, it's too convenient. I like the teriyaki chicken or beef musubi as a quick snack to hold me over and if I'm on the go. The employees are really nice and quick and the plates consistently taste great. I'm usually ordering online and picking-up at the drive-thru. I will say to ask for sauces when you pick-up in the drive-thru since one time I ordered a Katsu plate and there were no sauces in the bag when I got home. I've been inside once and it's clean and everything is brand new. I saw them build this from the ground up so it's definitely somewhere you can sit-down and have a great meal in a nice space. read more

I recently placed an order for Spam musubi, which was served to my child. Upon tasting it, I noticed an unusual lemon-like flavor that is not typical for this item. Due to this concern, I called the restaurant to complain and was informed that the recipe had been changed and was offered the option to pick up another order. However, because I was concerned about the food quality and potential cross-contamination, I went in person and requested to speak to a manager to ensure the situation was addressed properly. When I arrived, I spoke with a staff member and was initially asked to wait in the parking lot and informed that a supervisor would come speak with me. However, I was later told that the supervisor had not been notified of the situation. When I did speak with the supervisor, I was told that the same knife used to cut lemons was also used to cut the Spam. I expressed concern about this practice due to potential cross-contamination risks. I also questioned whether staff members had children, in an effort to help convey my concern more clearly. The staff member acknowledged and showed some empathy toward the situation. During my discussion with the staff member, I also asked for clarification regarding the preparation process and raised concerns about possible allergy risks. I questioned whether the establishment is ServSafe certified, and if so, why food items were being handled in a way that could allow cross-contact. In response, I was advised that customers are responsible for informing the restaurant of lemon allergies. Additionally, I was provided with differing explanations, including that the lemon flavor may have resulted from utensils being shared as well as lemons and Spam being stored in the same refrigerator. As a result, I received multiple and inconsistent explanations regarding the cause of the issue. My primary concern is the consistency of food handling practices, prevention of cross-contact, and clear communication with customers, particularly when food is being served to children. I am sharing this feedback in the hope that it will support improvements in food preparation procedures and customer communication. read more
