Very unique style of chicken that was fun to try! Prices here are pretty high for it being fast food but i will say it does fill you up. I really like the fried mozzarella that they have going right now. Lots of seasoning options too! I tried the mild medium and hot and from medium to hot was a decent jump up!

This was a pretty good experience for us! The food here is great! The flavor and spice level were almost perfect at a medium. I could almost go a little hotter. The portions are generous, but this place is on the expensive side ($50 for two people with tip). My only real complaint is that the music was insanely loud, to the point we just went to eat outside. That sounds like an old person complaint though for two people in their 20's. It also didn't help that the seating inside was in need of a little cleaning. Overall a good trip and we will be back.

I like this place a good bit. Consistently good and repetitive. I get the non chicken options just because I'm not a huge chicken fan. The Cauliflower bites are super good! They have a nice crunch and aren't soggy like you might expect. The meals are a great size and can be ordered with or without fries. The loaded fry is a new fav of mine! Service is always fast and friendly. The restaurants are cool, graffiti spray decor on the walls. Restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating.

This was our first time dining in. The seating inside is minimal, but there are tables outside. The staff here was friendly. We ordered Dave's #1 and Dave's #2, both hot and with a side of Mac n cheese. Both were very good. A good amount of heat and the chicken was juicy. The Mac n cheese was pretty good! The only downside is that 2 Dave's #1s and 1 Dave's #2 with 2 medium drinks cost us almost $45. It's a lot of money for the food you get (to include a slice of sandwich bread).

Late dinner and a wonderful surprise. Arrived to find a line inside and a line wrapped around the building outside. I ordered three medium spiced tenders with fries. Holy crap, the chicken was tender and juicy while being perfectly seasoned. The fries were hot and crispy, and again perfectly seasoned. After ordering and paying for my food, I was given my receipt with the number to have a seat and await my meal. The atmosphere is a traditional restaurant with seating and self-serve beverages.

Pleasant surprise. The chicken was seasoned very well and was crispy! We got plain and mild. The mild was not too spicy and I'll definitely go up a notch next time I come in. The fries were all crunchy. Their house sauce was a little underwhelming, tasted like ketchup and mayo with some other seasoning. The size of the chicken strips were amazing! The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part and their food is different and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

Decent first experience at Dave's Hot Chicken. I went on a Friday around 2pm and it was surprisingly busy. Almost every table was occupied. It's not a massive restaurant on the inside, so depending on how busy it is, you may want to consider drive-through. For food my partner and I both got Dave's #3 which comes with a tender and a slider. We're open to spice but opted for Medium heat level to play it safe. We both found the Medium to be quite mild and agreed next time we would try Hot instead. The chicken itself is actually really good. The tenders were juicy and flavorful. The fries were good as well, fresh and crispy. I think some tenders don't work great for the sliders however. My slider had a very skinny tender, so only like half of my bites actually contained any chicken. My partner didn't have this issue. But for this reason, next time I'll stick with tenders and pass on the sliders. I also got a frozen lemonade which was an absolute joke of a drink. The drink was not mixed at all. The ice was clumped together and didn't work with the straw. So all I was getting was the juice/syrup, leaving behind a cup of clear ice. The service was friendly. Although I had a hard time hearing the team member while ordering. It's very echoey and loud inside. They could benefit from some sort of sound-proofing on the walls. Despite some of these callouts, I'll definitely return to Dave's very soon. The food was good and they're a unique addition to this area of Goodyear.

Dave's hot is always a solid spot to visit for a quick bite of solid chicken sandwiches. They have multiple spice levels for everyone and their sauce is amazing! The servers were quick and got our food out in a timely manner. Their insides are always nice and clean overall a solid spot.

I'm a fan of Dave's Hot Chicken, but unfortunately this location was disappointing. The place was out of stock with napkins and utensils, tables were not clean, and the food itself did not taste made to order hot. The chicken is usually pretty tender but this location served semi dry and lukewarm tenders. It's unfortunate because this location is so close but this experience may keep me from going as much as I would have.

Don't bother yet. My kids got in line at 7:15, ordered at 8:18, and got their food at 9:04-well, most of it. Being dumb enough to wait in line an hour before ordering is one thing, but having to wait 40 minutes to receive the food after ordering is unacceptable. Getting the food 40 minutes later and discovering one of the meals you paid for is missing is beyond ridiculous. We won't be back for a long time. read more

First and far most the food is always yummy. Tonight I have to give a huge shoutout to COLE in the drive thru. He is AMAZING he has the kindest presence and he was very welcoming. For having a drive thru full of cars and not once did he's customer service lack. He is the best I have ever heard or had in a drive thru at any restaurant. Management please take this in to consideration and give this young man a raise. Just so you are aware I have been in customer service for over 30 years, make sure you keep him, he is definitely a diamond in the rough. Thank you Cole and everyone that made my dinner tonight! If you're from Nashville or just craving Nashville chicken. You can't get any closer than this place. I'd say this is the only spot in az with actual Nashville chicken. I used to drive 40 minutes to the one on bell road an 7 street. I can tell all the reviews have never had actual Nashville chicken because if they had it'll all be 5 stars. 10/10 read more

Chicken was juicy and moist and good flavor but felt a little salty. Tried some medium and hot. Medium wasn't really spicy at all, hot was enough that for some people it'd probably be too much, but if I were to get this again I'd probably got with Hot all around. The main downside is how insanely slow it is. Pulled into the drive through at 6:45pm. I think the car count in front of us was around 30. So it was busy for sure and you could see inside was jammed packed as well. We got our food at 8:40pm. 1 hour 55 minutes. I'm assuming they just don't have a kitchen designed to put out volume and frying chicken is obviously not the fastest process, so it just takes forever. I'd consider trying again only if I saw a line of 5 or less cars because at an average of 4 minutes per order that's already a 20 minute commitment. And spending an entire evening in a drive thru isn't my idea of a good time. read more

I will not be coming back here anymore. I used to come here only my weekly cheat meal, the Mac was pretty good. The food is good, and the spicy level is actually spicy and so my family and myself were big time regulars but then I had an issue, every time I went and scanned my points they never showed up even though the cashier would scan them. The app mentions that they take 24 hours load but they would never load. I reached out to management only for them to pass me off to someone else who completely ignore me. I reached out to management again just to ask a for an update and they also completely ignored me even though I was simply asking because clearly this might be a system issue or even a training issue for this to happen multiple times. You can order online, but don't bother adding what kind of sauces you want (EVEN IF THE ONLINE ORDER ASKS) because the employees don't even look at that. The wait itself diminishes the experience substantially. Waiting for an hour and 45 mins In Drive-thru is ridiculous. Other places like In and Out and chick fila have very similar lines and popularity yet they have a very effective system. Seen several people in line (dining area)walk out with their food within 20 mins while all the people in drivethru are waiting an hour and a half. Not eating here again. read more

Dave's Hot Chicken was created by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and Tommy and Gary Rubenyan. Dave, a chef trained in Thomas Keller's (French Laundry) organization set out to create the perfect Hot Chicken by searching, tasting, and frying. The four friends scrounged up $900 to put a tiny stand in an East Hollywood parking lot. The menu was simple, and chicken was the star. And what chicken it is! Sourced and prepared to be the juiciest and most tender imaginable with each piece topped with Dave's own mix of spices ranging from "Mild" to "The Reaper". Arman created Instagram buzz and the lines began to grow. Two nights later, Eater/LA showed up to see what the fuss was about. The next morning's headline read "East Hollywood's Late Night Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind". Almost instantly, the lines stretched around the block. A year later, the boys had the money to open a shop in a hip strip-mall with de_cor by local street artists, where the crowds continued to grow with wait-times of an hour and more. From there, the incredibly craveable "Hot and Spicy" varieties have created a cult following with rave reviews across the U.S. and Canada.

History

Established in 2017.

In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept -- take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw -- they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. After 6 months of running the pop-up with long lines, the team took the plunge and opened their first physical store in January 2018 in a sleepy strip center in East Hollywood. Demand for their crave-able hot chicken exceeded all expectations and sales have grown every month since opening with consistently long lines throughout the day.

This is NOT a restaurant or anything close to it. Their food is precooked and in re-heatable bags which you can microwave or they have it frozen and you can cook it yourself or have them fry it for you. This is the equivalent of a 7-11 gas station or convenience store food at best, what a waste of time. I don't know where reviewer #1 went but it certainly wasn't here... either that or she owns the place. Don't waste your time.
