Dave's #2 2 Sliders w/ Fries
Ben W.

Never fails to disappoint. Nobody the location, always love getting the two sliders with fries for 14$. Not bad of a deal and you know you will get a good balanced meal. Only successful location and a plus that they gave me a package of Dave's sauce to take home! So tasty!

Definitely worth a visit. We drove 20 mins to try the famous fried chicken at 4:50PM on a rainy Friday afternoon and the wait was not bad at all. Parking was very easy. About 20 mins later we were back in the car w the food! The menu was very simple, short and straightforward. They serve tender and tender slider meals w some sides and milkshakes to add on. Each order comes w fries, pickles and bread. Love the fresh and hot, very meaty and super flavorful tenders! So crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. We didn't challenge ourselves to get the reaper hot so we got hot and extra hot. I would say hot is already very spicy to me but tolerable. Hubby has a much higher tolerance for spiciness and thought extra hot is pretty spicy - it might not be as enjoyable if it became even hotter. The strawberry milkshake was sweet and refreshing - nothing really special but good when you are eating spicy food haha.

My daughter & I went to their soft opening today before 4p. Lots of people were pulling up excited to go try new restaurant. We were greeted w/ friendly service as soon as we walked in door & asked how we heard about their restaurant. The line was long but went fast & only waited about 10mins to order & our food was made fast in less than 10mins. The workers were all working together w/ were all kind. You can place your order w/ a cashier or someone (young man w/ tablet was very nice & offered his choice of preference) would come to you w/ a tablet to place your order w/ them w/ a card. The combo's are priced from $12-14 & sadly a drink is not included. For the price of the combo's you would think a small & or medium drink would be included. We would like to go back to try their Mac & cheese & milkshakes next time.

Don't fear the reaper... And I didn't. My husband picked up the sandwiches, so I can't speak to the service, but I am sure it was great. Presentation: The items were boxed up nicely with items placed neatly. The sandwiches had some designs to add some flavor and flair. Taste: The chicken was cooked well and not burnt. The chicken tender pieces were moist and meaty. The rub has a nice smoky flavor. Was the reaper spicy? YES! I did have to drink a glass of milk. The first few bites I had the phlegm build up, my eye watered, and my nose was running. After a glass of milk, I was fine and kept eating the rest of the chicken. Oddly, I ate some cold shrimp, and it helped. Disclaimer- I am Southeast Asian and eat spicy jaew (Thai chili pepper sauce) pretty much every day. The bun was basic, so next time, we'll just get the tenders. The fries were crinkled fries with a semi-sweet, smokey flavor. It was okay. I was not a huge fan of the seasoning. I haven't tried the hot yet. I will update the review once I do.

Decide to see what the hype was about and it didn't disappoint. Decided to go on a Wednesday night after work and line was still decently long, probably waited 15 min line before reaching the register. Customer service was good, the staff was polite even though it seem to be a busy night. Its located in a shopping area so it's definitely brining more customers to the area. I think they picked a great spot. I ordered #2. Hot. With cheese on both slider. And extra cheese sauce on the side. If you like spicy food, start with hot and work your way up. If you can't really handle spicy then maybe go with medium first. Chicken: great! Was juicy and had a little crunch. The spice was more like a spicy rub. Definitely can feel the spicy kick after a few bites. Fries: tasty by itself, pair it with some cheese sauce, it's bomb! Made yourself some cheese fries! Also came with extra pickles and Dave' sauce, reminds me of a tangy mustard sauce. Overall I say you get a good amount of food for the buck. Definitely give it a try if you are in the mood for some spicy chicken. Next time I'm probably going to step it down a notch with the spice. It has my approval stamp!

I waited a little bit to go because as you can imagine, any new place will always be packed. I went a little after typical lunch time and there was a line but it moved steadily and the food didn't take very long to come out. I definitely ordered more food than I needed but I wanted to try several things to see if it was worth coming back. I started off with the sliders. These are pretty nice sized and will fill most people up. I got the Hot sauce and it was definitely hot, but for me it was the perfect amount of heat. I got the mac and cheese because I am a sucker for that and then I grabbed a tender of the Reaper chicken. I enjoyed my meal. I thought the sliders had good flavor and the chicken was well cooked. The mac n cheese had a nice little bite to it which was pleasing as most places you need to help out the flavor (thinking a little salt and pepper), but not needed here. Ok, the Reaper is the highest heat level they offer and it definitely lives up to it. I am not sure if it was the heat level or the fact that I was stuffed, but I got through half the tender. I was dying... I would probably never make it on Hot Ones.... so if you are someone who likes to push the limits, grab a tender of the reaper and give it ago. Since this is close to home I will be back again for lunch. Lots of options in the area but if I am looking for a hot chicken sandwich, this will be my new spot.

Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries

Was not what I expected! Not busy and crazy atmosphere- I also thought. ***DAVES #2 was good you get 2 sliders and a fry. When you think of "slider" you think of a small sandwich. Not her! They are full size chicken sandwiches. The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful! I got HOT for my flavor! Fries were good as well. My entire family enjoyed this. Customer service was good.

Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries

Came here after randomly seeing it on the road by my families house. I love southern chicken and hot chicken so I definitely needed to give this a try! They only have I believe 3 items or so on their menu that you can choose from for meals/food. Kind of easy to pick and choose that way, I got the mixture to try their chicken tenders and sandwich. The sandwich was basically tenders on it. Good sauce though! I got their mild hotness, it definitely had a kick to it but nothing too bad. It felt a little less of a "sting" like Tabasco. I loved their art designs inside and the look of their restaurant overall. Decent service. Wasn't overly friendly but wasn't rude either. Will be back for the food, good tasting hot chicken.

Slider, Mac'n'cheese, pickles, chicken tender, sauce.

I got a slider, a chicken tender and Mac'n'cheese all were so delicious! I'm a big fan of spicy foods and the spice was perfectly incorporated in the chicken. Ive ordered from here multiple times and each time the food is hot and the chicken is crunchy!

After finishing my last exam of the block for medical school, a group of us decided to meet up at Dave's hot chicken to celebrate. The line was almost out the door when we arrived. This led me to wonder "Can the chicken really be that good?" The answer to that question is yes. I ordered the number two with a small chocolate shake. And, the sliders had a spiciness level of extra hot. Absolutely no one in our group was talking once our food arrived. We were all too busy stuffing our faces with beautifully fried and crisp chicken. I will say though that the extra hot is not that hot. However, I am the type of person that likes food that is so spicy that one would swear the Devil himself kissed it before handing it to you. And, my nickname is "El Diablo". Every time I bit into the slider, I could hear a fantastic crunch from the perfectly fried breading. The chicken was equally seasoned on all sides and had a beautiful presentation. The chicken did not slide out of the slider and there was just enough coleslaw to give you that nice cooling sensation after eating the spiciness of the sandwich. Not only that, the owner of the establishment came by to our table and gave us a coupon as first-time guests. Overall, the customer service was fantastic and the food was delicious. 10 out of 10 will be coming here again!

First location in Wisconsin is open, the hot chicken lovers represented. There was a long line out the door, the staff did a good job of communicating wait times and keeping morale lifted while we waited in 12 degree temperatures. We were offered a free shot glass, kids got stickers. I ordered the number three: a slider, chicken tender and fries "hot". I was so excited to try it. The chicken lacks seasoning flavor however the "hot" was manageable and not overpowering. Imagine eating something with heat but no taste. I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience Dave's Hot Chicken. Good service and I know they will do well however the taste is not to my liking. Currently not accepting online orders but I'm sure once the opening hype slows they will.

We came into Daves after things had died down a bit. The lines were insanely long when they first opened but it seems like they've found their groove. This place is basically a Raising Canes but with hot chicken, but their Daves sauce is no canes sauce!. There are three menu options, a couple sides, and heat options. We went with the medium but would probably go hot next time. The meal was fulfilling and the chicken was flavorful and tender. A bit greasy but it is fried chicken after all. All in all, solid chicken

Medium spiced chicken tender and slider.

I waited a bit for the traffic to die down before trying Dave's Hot Chicken but finally had a chance on a weekday during lunch time. It wasn't too busy, not much of a line either which was nice. My friend that just moved back to the area from Houston met up with me. Ordering was fine but the cashiers were very blunt, as I was asked immediately, "do you know what you want?" My friend stated "wow they're kind of rude." Not a good first impression. The person calling out order numbers redeemed that impression as she was friendly. I got the #3 which is a slider and tender combo with the medium spice level. Now I like spicy and can say this wasn't very spicy, more sweet. The dipping sauce was good and I liked the tender. When I got to the slider though...I ended up just eating the tender. The chicken was cooked well, crispy, yet juicy. Every order gets bagged which seems a bit wasteful. Overall, I'd try again but maybe a higher spice level, and on a day that wasn't as nice out (maybe that's why the employees weren't too happy as it was the first 60 degree day).

We recently decided to explore Germantown and we stopped at Mario's Pizza for a cheese, mushroom, and sausage pizza. We've heard about this place for many years and decided to finally give it a try. My wife went in to order the pizza and two drinks and was told that it will be ready in 20 minutes. 37 minutes later we got our pizza and two drinks. I was extremely hungry and decided to try it in the car, rather than waiting to go to a park or another place to park. The pizza was awful. I have actually invested in a New York pizza restaurant and know good pizza. This is not that. To pick it apart for you, understanding that taste varies among eaters, I will tell you that the crust is dry, flavorless, and essentially becomes a cracker when cooked. I like thin crust, pizza, and I've had many crisp crusts that were good and excellent (Zaffiros on Farwell being a benchmark). This is really not good. The sauce was extremely bland. I like playing sauce, but this was flavorless as if there were no spices in it of any kind. The cheese is good. It's a stringy mozzarella. that is the saving grace of the pizza itself. The mushrooms were flavorless, unseasoned, and dry. The sausage was abysmal. So salty, so inconsistent in size of pieces, and way over spiced. I'm afraid this one is a miss. My wife thinks it was a sold a couple years ago. Not exactly the pizza place I've heard so much about over the years.

Our food came out super fast, everything was hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared, and the staff was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. The food was next level. The beef birria pizza was unreal rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The honey garlic cauliflower was a surprise favorite, crispy with the perfect balance of sweet and savory. We finished with tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and the perfect ending to the meal. Paired it all with a sangria and it was perfection. Honestly, some of the best food I've had, period. IVR is a gem! Amazing flavors, great atmosphere, and top-tier service. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

I've visited IVR Bar several times and realized I never submitted the review I wrote. I'm happy…read morethough because after several visits I have more qualities to cover. Warning this will be a long review as a result. My review does have a few recommendations based upon my experience and one negative in #5. 1. Food The food here has consistently been very good. One of our favorites is their butter chicken pizza served on naan bread. It comes with extra butter sauce for dipping, and the flavor and consistency is so good. The pizza is full of chicken and a nice amount of cheese. The only thing I'd recommend is serving the side of butter sauce hotter. It's always much cooler than the pizza, which I've experienced more than once. Their naan bread is always soft and fresh. We've tried both the garlic naan and cheesy naan and both are so good. Buffalo wings and birria tacos served on naan were all delicious. The meat was seasoned and the rice was very good as well. The honey garlic cauliflower appetizer is tasty but the portion is quite small for $14. You'll see the serving spoon in the photo for scale it shows how small the serving is. I think lowering the price could encourage more people to order it. For $14 you might as well get some wings or a 1 topping pizza! 2. Drinks They make excellent drinks. I've had multiple martinis here and have never been disappointed. My husband ordered a Hennessy sidecar that was also very good. I went for their Thursday ladies happy hour where martinis are $5. The only drawback is that only a few specific flavors are included: blueberry, apple, cosmopolitan, and dirty martinis. I had a pineapple lemon drop martini there and hoped to get it again for the happy hour price, but it wasn't included. I think it would help if they advertised which martinis are included in the happy hour promotion so customers know what to expect. 3. Service Service has always been good during my visits. I've never had a bad experience with the staff. The dark skinned host has seated my family several times and is always friendly and welcoming. We're always seated immediately because they're never busy when we go. 4. Atmosphere & Entertainment There's usually about 2-3 other parties in the dinning room and a few patrons at the bar when I've visited. The lighting is dim and the vibe is relaxed. They have plenty televisions throughout the dining room and bar. The dining room has a 4 way TV in the center. If you're into sports they don't miss. They also have a few slot machines near the bar. 5. Cleanliness Overall cleanliness has been acceptable, but there are a few things that could be improved. I have noticed gnats on multiple visits. It's not a swarm but they are noticeable. More so this time with multiple sweet martinis at our table. With them using fresh fruit and syrups for cocktails, I imagine that isn't helping. The bathrooms appear to have been updated and look nice. There wasn't any odor, but the trash can could have been emptied or pushed down. 6. Menu & Communication One area where they could improve is marketing. Their website and social media advertise events or specials without explaining the details. For example, the flyer in my photos show tacos and tequilas night. With flight of tequila samples and tacos for $65/person. How many tacos and tequila samples does one get? How much tequila per sample? What would I be paying for? More social media presence, photos of their food in the happy hour posts and more details of specials would bring in more customers. I'm a Yelp and social media lady! I do a little research before deciding on new spots. I'm not scrolling through 20 posts a restaurant shares to get to food videos or images. I expect the to grab my attention immediately. It's so close to many big offices, factories, and various businesses. They should be busy always. I've seen multiple restaurants come and go in this same building over the last 12 years. I'm hopeful they'll be more present to increase their customer base. Another improvement would be adding more vegan options. When I was avoiding meat and dairy earlier this year, I noticed they listed the Garlic honey cauliflower online as vegan but it was labeled vegetarian on the menu on the table, which could be confusing for someone strictly following a vegan diet. 7. Loyalty Program One thing they do very well is their rewards system. They track points through your credit card, and we've received $5 off simply from returning. That's a great feature that more locally owned restaurants could learn from. So you're wondering if I would go back? Yes, I plan on it. Although I'm hopeful they consider my recommendations. Would I recommend it? Yes the food is good! The service is good! I've never had to wait! If you've never tried Indian food before this is a great place to start. They serve familiar foods with Indian flavors which may be helpful with easing in.
