    Medium Dave's #1 2 Tenders w/ Fries

The service is great! Staff were very friendly and it was clean inside. Food was okay, if you've had Hatti B's hot chicken...this isn't the same. But for fast food it is good.

First things first....if you do not like dry rub spices...this is not for you. This was my first time having chicken with dry rub spice and it took a bit of adjustment. Second...the sizes...omg....don't believe the slider is a slider size. It is a full size sammich! Dave's special sauce is sooo good. I ended up using it on my fries as well. Very friendly people working there and place is nice and clean. Give it a try!

This was my first time trying this place with my bestie and I was so super excited. I had the Dave's #4, which is the tender, juicy crispy chicken slider on a potato roll combo w/cheese and w/no spice (I don't like spicy food), crunchy hot crinkle cut fries, a nice pile of chilled pickles and their tasty Dave's sauce and a packet of honey. The sandwich was really good, and the food came out hot. Dave's has flavors ranging from No Spice to Reaper. So, whether you are there for the spice or there for the chicken, then there are options for you. The chicken is served in two ways, a slider or a tender, with my personal favorite being the slider. If you're not sure which one to choose from, order the number three to get one tender and one slider with a side of fries. This place is very spacious huge and looks beautiful. The service was excellent. I was served by Talisha R in York PA and she was very friendly, gregarious and a pleasure to order food from. Thank you for your service, Talisha! I will be back for more. A+++

Honestly, I can't believe someone would actually come on social media and give a poor review in a new restaurant the first day of opening! It really says a lot about todays society. My daughter and I ate here for their soft opening and yes there were some inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement but it was the first day my goodness! The young people here were working extremely hard to get it done, service was overwhelmed by tons of people all eagerly anticipating the opening. This would be difficult for any new restaurant. Have a heart and support the effort. Why try to punish the effort. It will get better and settle down when business normalizes. They went out of their way to service the public with lots of staff, efforts in every way to keep organized and safe for their customers, and never once was there any efforts not in support of a good experience knowing it will get better with experience and support. Don't be so cruel and show some empathy for the situation. Service was excellent based on the soft opening first day and put all customers first. Food was a bit inconsistent but we will pass on reviewing until a more normalized day when they are trying to feed mobs of eager guests and eliminate opening day challenges. Good overall! As for the food,

    Dave's #4 1 Slider with Fries

The fries texture is crunchy & flavorful. The slider comes with pickles, coleslaw, and the cheese is optional. The slider overall was a 7/10. The flavor was good but I would like it a bit more crunchy. The tender is very thick so I was a bit concerned if it'd be cooked all the way since it was made so quickly (and it was!). The drive thru cashier was very pleasant. Overall experience 9/10! Thank you Dave's hot chicken. (Business commented and offered to make my experience up to par next time, that alone I'll give them a 4 star, thank you.)

Not worth the hype I rather spend $100 dollars everyday somewhere else then spend $20 dollars here the place always packed and the people preparing the food are clueless and remind me of the discombobulater went today and walk out the menu is only like 5 items to it

Last of my strips and fries after getting busy with the first two.

Decided to give Dave's hot chicken another try on the whim since I was in the area and really glad I did. I ordered a number 1 which I believe included 2 strips, but when I got home I was pleasantly surprised to find an extra. The size of the strips were also much larger than my original experience. This time I went around dinner time as opposed to near closing time before, so perhaps better to go earlier. I ordered the hot and was also pleasantly surprised this time. Last order I did not have flavor, this time I felt the heat in my throat and reached for my drink. Glad to see the improvement.

I placed my order online and went with a Hefty size Classic Cheesesteak, and a Husky size Philly Special Hoagie. Total after tax/tip was $34.00. How were they? Cheesesteak- Fantastic! Nice seeded bread, tons of meat and cooper sharp cheese. Onions were cut a little big and laid on top, so they started to fall all over the place (eat this outside your car, trust me!) while I was eating. Flavors were great, though! Damn fine cheesesteak and I would definitely return to get another. Hoagie- This thing was packed with goodies! They also use the "meat blanket" technique that I have only seen at LaSpadas down in Florida, previously. All the ingredients were well put together, HUGE, good bread, but there was a lack of tang in the olive oil/vinegar dressing. It was basically absent. That's why the 4 stars. Maybe you need to order extra or more vinegar? Something was definitely needed though. It was pretty plain tasting. Don't get me wrong, it was still a good sandwich, but it could have been a GREAT sandwich with some extra flavor of the oil/vinegar. This would definitely be my sandwich spot if I lived in York!

I'm so glad that I listened to my reasoning and didn't listen to the other reviews. Let's get this straight, if you are looking for "INSTA-FAMOUS" location and food presentation, this is NOT your place. The decor is actually something that made me giggle a little bit. 1980's style moulded booths (not fluffy friendly) about 6 on each side of the restaurant. A couple of plastic tables in the middle of the restaurant for large groups or "fluffy people" like myself. Dark red paint on the wall with only 1 piece of artwork, a sign that reads "We have no wifi, pretend it is 1995 and talk to people". (this endeared me most). A wood paneled counter for ordering. A lit up menu above the counter. A make shift utensil and seasonings table. An old trash can. and on this particular day 100's of boxes being made around us (impressively so). The picture I am painting is a 1980's pizza joint. And it really is exactly that, with perhaps the exception of instead of Ms. PacMan at the front, they have 4 gambling machines. To this Gen Xer, I found this refreshing and a true blast from the past. Another relic from the past is their staff. They still hire teenagers. This is both a great thing (teenagers need to work!) and a bad thing as the girls were LOUD and not particularly good at customer service. The adult supervising them was possibly reliving his youth in his ability to play with them. (it wasn't creepy, but, it was kind of sad), instead of managing them and showing them how to provide customer service. But, no one was nasty. Everyone was having a good time. And they got the job done. I ordered an italian boli and I asked for them to add mushrooms to it. They looked at me funny, but, eventually let me get them. My husband ordered an italian cold cut sub, we both ordered 2 large fountain sodas (as per 1980s decor, they came in styrofoam cups). The sub came out almost instantly, which is great if you are looking to eat and leave, but, we were hoping to sit and dine together. So, the nice warm bread, did eventually become cold as we waited or my Boli. The presentation of the sub was good, the meat was piled up well beyond the bread, the lettuce was niceley shredded, the tomato diced, and the oil and vinegar were the perfect mix. My boli arrived about 10 minutes later, just as I had ordered. For size purposes, I would say it was a medium pizza folded over. and sliced into three huge slices. For a small, it was definitely too big for one person to eat in one sitting. It was SOOOOOO cheesy and delicious. The crust was pillowy yet chewy, the cheese was ooey gooey, the meat was not too much, not too little and they did give me as I requested the mushrooms (fresh, not canned). This was delicious in itself, but, man...the sauce.....oh the sauce....it was so sweet and delicous and tasted like summer tomatoes off the vine. Not too thick...not too thin...the pillowy crust of the boli absorbed it perfectly, and together....it made heaven! At the end of the meal you are expected to clean up after yourself (just like any other 1980's pizza joint) and they were nice enough to ask us if we wanted refills on our cokes before we left. Over all: Ambience--I'd say it is a solid 2/5. If you are looking for a perfect date night where eveything is romantic, this isn't the place, unless you met at a 1980's pizza joint and then I think it would be crazy romantic. It's also quite loud just with the staff bantering about. Service: 4/5. They did what they were supposed to do and really nothing more. But, they did do what they were supposed to do. Food: I'm giving this a 5/5! It's hearty. It's well done. It's tasty. I left with left overs. (which after 2 nights in the fridge were still delicious when I reheated them) Cost: A perfect end of the non-pay week treat. Reasonable and hearty. We paid about $30 for our meal, which was ample.

We made reservations as we know it gets rather busy. Reservations are highly suggested for Friday / Saturday nights. Large parking area outback the whole is packed full, which is generally a good sign in a restaurant. We arrived and we're promptly seated and our waiter arrived to take our drink order shortly thereafter. I had a desert bloom and Bestie had a sangria, rum punch concoction. Desert bloom was delicious. Nice change for a margarita. For apps, I had the French onion soup, which was absolutely delicious perfectly caramelized, onions, nice baguette plenty of cheese. Topped with a crispy onion broth was flavorful. She had the burrata which was a meal in it of itself came in a large salad plate with dressed leaves and strawberries, and a side of crusty bread. For means I got the cioppino and she had the angel hair with shrimp. The cioppino came with a wonderful large slice of grilled bread with an Uni butter, which was absolutely delicious. The broth of that stew was absolutely AMAZING. So rich and flavorful I could've died on that alone. It was full of seafood..... crab, claws, shrimp mussels, fish it was more than enough for two meals. Crab claws were great. The one thing I didn't like. I expected crab claws, and even muscles in the shell. But the tails on the shrimp is frustrating for me, in any dish like that, but I survived lol. Bestie was smarter than me and asked if the shrimp and her dish came with tails on, they did. She then asked if they would remove the tails which the waiter said yes they would so she requested and they obliged. Even though we were stuffed, we want to try some dessert. She had the dark side of the moon cake, and I had the Greek Panna cotta. Both were absolutely delicious. The cake was rich chocolatey just everything you would expect from an overindulge dessert. The Panna cotta was absolutely the perfect ending to the meal. It was covered with a sour cherries and small almond cookies - wonderful, flavor profile - worked so well together. Service was friendly. Price point was amazing. My meal with a drink before tip was $58. For the quality and amount of food I had and considering the giant bowl of seafood stew it was a great value. First post is on our regular rotation for Friday night dinners I haven't tried their brunch. But if you haven't tried The First Post and are looking for something not necessarily upscale, but also not of the Chili's Applebee's vein, consider giving them a try out in East York.

My adventure buddy and I were headed to York and looking for somewhere new, different, and delicious to grab lunch. After a little online reconnaissance, Copper Crust Co. landed firmly at the top of the list. The menu looked fantastic...sweet treats, sandwiches, quiche, baked goods, and enough tempting options that narrowing down an order felt like a personal challenge! We arrived around 11:45am and were lucky enough to find a parking spot right out front. We walked inside and immediately discovered that apparently everyone else had also figured out Copper Crust Co. was the place to be. The place was PACKED! Every table was occupied and a long line stretched toward the ordering counter. Fortunately, the line moved quickly. Unfortunately, that meant we had plenty of time to stare at the bakery case while waiting. I suspect this is at least partially intentional. The display of pastries, cakes and sweet treats sits right alongside the ordering line, teasing you every step of the way. By the time I reached the register, I was contemplating lunch, dessert, second dessert, and possibly a bakery box for later. My adventure buddy ordered a classic BLT ($10.69) and a Diet Coke ($1). I decided to branch out with the Spinach, Sundried Tomato & Feta Quiche ($8.99) and a Diet Coke. Total for lunch for two came to $27.58 before tip, which felt completely reasonable. After ordering, we were given a table number and told to grab any available table we could find. This led to the only hiccup of the visit. A sign near the ordering area instructed guests to leave dishes on the tables for staff to clear, but on this particular Saturday the staff simply couldn't keep up with the volume. We eventually found an abandoned table covered with dirty dishes, crumbs, scrambled eggs, bacon remnants, and the previous guests' table marker. Copper Crust was clearly slammed. Honestly, my only suggestion would be to add a guest-accessible bussing station for busy weekends. A spot where customers could scrape plates and stack dishes would probably help tables turn over much faster when the dining room is bursting at the seams. Not wanting to hover awkwardly while waiting for staff, I cleaned the table myself and stacked everything neatly out of the way. Problem solved. A few minutes later, our food arrived and immediately erased any lingering concerns. The mixed greens salad that accompanied our meals was surprisingly excellent. Normally, a pile of just greens (plus two small pieces of pineapple) doesn't do much for me, but whatever light, slightly sweet dressing they use is fantastic! My adventure buddy and I both devoured every last leaf. The BLT featured thick-cut bacon and hearty slices of multigrain bread, both of which earned enthusiastic approval from my adventure buddy. My quiche was outstanding. The spinach, sundried tomatoes, and feta were plentiful, but the real star was the crust. Too many quiches treat the crust as an afterthought. Not this one. Flaky, buttery, substantial, and absolutely worth eating every bite. It was one of the best quiches I've had in quite a while, and I seriously considered getting back in line for another slice. Copper Crust Co. ended up being one of those unexpected gems that makes adventure days so much fun. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and enough bakery goodness to justify a return trip all by itself. Next time I'm in York around breakfast, brunch, or lunch, there's a very good chance you'll find me back in that line staring at the bakery case and making questionable decisions involving dessert before noon.
