Anderson F Rowe, MD - Look at this while you're waiting to sign up for a colonoscopy

I was sort of hoping for something like free anesthesia or two colonoscopies for the price of one, but no luck. I have been coming here for many years, with very good experience. Usually I see the physician's assistant, but on occasion Dr. Rowe. I have found him to be very helpful, patient, and professional. I have never felt rushed in any of my appointments. They have a new PA whose name is Julia. Very informative, very friendly and helpful. She made some medication suggestions, and gave excellent information about some long-term side effects and the latest scientific research, of which I was unaware. The excellent suggestions given to me today by the PA were very helpful to me. Occasionally I have to wait a few minutes, but it's usually not very long. Today I think I waited 2 minutes. I barely had time to do a Yelp check-in before I was called. I have also had Dr. Rowe perform the usual routine colonoscopies. I would not exactly call them a load of fun, but they went smoothly. Well, as smoothly as one can expect having a tube shoved up--well you know what I mean. I should also mention that they require you provide them with your credit card information, so they can charge you right away. At first, I found this a little annoying, but I understand they want to shorten the billing process. The office is in that large office complex right near San Ramon Hospital. Parking is generally not too bad.

Dr. Yee was the only physician with immediate availability. I took a chance. From the beginning there were issues. My first appointment I filled out the intake information and returned them to the receptionist. I waited thirty minutes past my appointment time and finally saw the doctor. Instead of an exam, I had to answer all of the intake questions again with Dr. Yee while he explained to me the online intake process is difficult to navigate, inconvenient, and he has to try and get the information in the system that I provided for a second time. This took the majority of my visit's time. Afterwords, he looked at my chart and scheduled me for surgery with a rushed explanation of what was to come. I was scheduled for three outpatient surgeries. The first procedure at his surgery center, which is ran like an assembly line. The Dr. had no bedside manner. The receptionists and nurses were nice that day. The procedure went as planned. The second procedure. Receptionists and nurses were nice. Again, Dr. Yee no bedside manner, assembly line, and scheduled back to back, let's get as many bodies in as possible. Well this procedure failed. I was given after care instructions and a number to call. The device he inserted fell out immediately. I called. I was told he would return my call that day. He never did. He sent an email saying, if you'd like to have the procedure redone I can do it. Really?! I just had surgery the device has fallen out. It's a complication following surgery and your after care instructions advise me to call for further instructions if complications arise. Wow, standard of care a big zero. I waited until morning and called the office multiple times. Dr. Yee finally called back and said sorry, I had charts to complete. At this point I was ready to report him to the medical board. I needed to have the procedure redone and two additional procedures for a total of four. Which initially was three procedures. After, I voiced my concerns and questioned his standard of care his demeanor changed. He then began to provide the standard of care which doctors take an oath to provide. I would only recommend him if he is your last and only option. Volume of patients seems to be his biggest concern and not standard of care. Bodies in and bodies out. Will I ever return answer is no!

I had a discovery call with you prior to this consultation and you told me that my case was the type of case that your clinic works with all the time. This is why I decided to pay the $500 because I thought I would get an individualized plan. I have had consultations with other functional medicine practitioners and naturopaths before and this appointment was used to build a plan for me. Not listen to a sales pitch. I found out the cost for these other providers' programs during the 15 minute discovery call. And by the way, you are not telling the truth about offering a $35,000 program. You said "For accuracy, we don't offer a $35,000 program". I have documents to prove that you do, which I've posted here. There are three tiers I was offered: Platinum 12 month program, a Gold 12 month program but not as many "perks" and visits, and then a 6 month program, which I was deterred from because I have a lot of issues and it takes time to resolve (which I agree with). And all of these programs don't include labs or supplements!! I was being steered towards the Platinum program for 35k, BUT if I signed up before 7/30/25 and paid in full, I would only pay $25k! Heck of a deal! "Spots are limited! Fast Action Bonus if you sign up today!" Seriously this is what you hear on an infomercial or used car sales lot. You are clearly just motivated by money and not helping people. I am so frustrated that I spent my VERY hard earned $500 (which I desperately need to work on getting better) and got absolutely nothing but scammed. You both should be ashamed of yourselves taking advantage of people who are desperate to feel better. Your reply was unbelievable. Literally.

What a great experience from start to finish (minus needing surgery, but you know what I mean). Everyone from the pre-op nurse who calmed my anxiety (whose name is escaping me), to Doctors Harris, Ochalek and Singh (and the rest of their surgery team) were amazing. The last thing I remember was having a nice conversation with Dr. Singh about the niners before gently waking up after surgery. They all really made the surgery as comfortable as it could possibly be. My post op experience was second to none. I had a wonderful recovery nurse who told me all about her kids (if anyone can verify her name, I'd appreciate it!) and then was moved up to a private room where Katie took over my care. She was the absolute best nurse I've ever had. She was attentive, kind and went out of her way to get anything I (or my partner) needed. She transferred care to our night nurse (who was great, but I was asleep most of the night), but promised to come check on us the next day when she got back into work. We really felt cared for and comfortable with Katie and thank her for the level of care she provided. If there's a way to recommend nurses, she'd be at the top of the list! Diane was our nurse the next morning, and she was awesome. We got super lucky with her because even though it was crazy busy that morning, she went out of her way to make sure we always had everything we needed. She was kind, attentive and we could tell she was running around trying to take care of 10 people at once (and doing a great job at it). We talked everything from travel to traffic and you definitely made the morning after surgery much more bearable. All in all, about the best experience I could have asked for. For the nurses whose name's I have forgotten, I'm sorry! I was out of it for a while with anesthesia, meds, etc. and there were a lot of you helping. You were all great and very much appreciated. If I ever need to go back into surgery, I'm definitely coming back here. Thanks again. Kevin and Monica

They also told me I need a surgery due to a compound clavicle fracture, but I had to wait till Monday and call the Doctor not to mention today is Monday and I can't even get a hold of the doctor or anyone of the doctors staff @ Bass medical group. They hadn't even cleaned my skin lacerations. My wife noticed it when she helped me take a bath. Dr. Bahzadi staff never returned the call. Supposedly Megan is the surgery coordinator, but she can't return calls or email . God forbid if you have an emergency like me! Worst care I have ever received!
