My daughter had the WORST experience with AviClear. Her skin got significantly worse after the procedure in addition to terrible scarring from the machine. After completing 3 procedures and now learning a lot more about how the laser is supposed to be used, I believe no one should have this done by Dr.Goldberg. Her skin was only minimally wet (hence the laser scars) and the laser passed over her for a total of 5 minutes, not the 30 minutes it's supposed to take. After completing the 3 rounds and waiting 6 months post procedure for the final results my daughter and I were heartbroken. Out a lot of money, skin scarred and with worse acne than before and had to eventually start accutane. Please research carefully all side effect and individual physicians results. read more

Dr Goldberg did my son's AviClear treatments. Each session was about 8-10 minutes. Everywhere I have read says treatments should take about 30 minutes. We are a year out from treatment...aside from his forehead, his skin has not improved- and I know a handful of people who have had AviClear and they all look amazing- as long as they didn't use Goldberg. He's extremely pompous- I hesitated to use him due to the reviews..I should have trusted my instincts. $3K down the drain. Oh- and the billing office tried to tell me I owed them $800...fought them for months before I received an apology. Even with proof of all of my payments (which you pay upfront btw). I want my appointment with a Dermatologist "MD" David J. Goldberg, and not with a NP. As a Nurse I know that the insurance covers the visit with an MD specialist. Don't bother with the Aviclear, it did NOT work at all! I'm way past the 6 weeks after my third (& last) session, when you're supposed to see results & clear up..well I don't see any results it's as if I never even got treatment!! I was supposed to see results a few weeks ago..still breaking out..worst than before actually & cystic acne! Thousands of dollars down the drain! I kept reading how people's sessions went on for 30-40min, mine were like 20min! So were these Aviclear sessions even done properly?? read more

This review is specifically written for the follow up care I received by Dr. David Goldberg's staff after my recent Moh's surgery. My wound had healed very well and the suitures needed to be removed. Gabriella, one of the practices' PA's, performed the initial removal of the suitures that were still evident in an area between my ear and eye. Gabriella carefully removed as many suitures that were visible. Her patience and care were evident during her work which resulted in me feeling confident and comfortable. A week or so later, several "stubborn" suitures, that were still imbedded, found their way to the surface and became troublesome. Making another visit to the Hackensack office, Ms. Rachel Zackary, another PA. was on hand to remove the remnants of the final suitures. Rachael exercised the required care and patience that I needed while meticulously finding, grasping, and removing some 6 remaining (very small) bits of suituring material with aplomb. No pain medication was needed as Rachael's skills in performing the removal is to be commended. Again, although wait times can be lengthly, the staff at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists, Hackensack offices, is highly recommnded for their skills, understanding, compassion, and overall care. read more

Dr. Goldberg is cheerful, intelligent, and brisk. 1) He listened 2) He diagnosed 3) He prescribed 4) The prescription worked The actual consultation took about five minutes. Maybe some people want more chitchat or attention. I just wanted a problem solved as quickly as possible, and that's exactly what I got. I docked one star for having to wait 25 minutes in the clinic's crowded reception and 15 more minutes in the examination room. My experience at SLSS- Hackensack was amazing all around! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I didn't have to wait long in the waiting area which is was clean and well kept. Dr. David Goldberg entered the room with a huge welcoming smile. He advised me on all my injectable options and helped me to make the best choice for my needs. He never recommended anything I didn't need and was conservative in his approach. He carried on a lovely conversation helping distract me from the needle. His technique was so precise I didn't feel anything. I am so happy with my results and no more wrinkles! I would certainly recommend him to others and have to all my close friends. I did the E Matrix for Acne Scars and it's a total waste of money!!! The procedure cost me $7k and in the end I have seen no improvements.... Took me a while to post this review due to my disappointment in choosing this procedure and wasting my hard earned money. If you are looking for acne scars to be healed stay away from this procedure and do bellafill instead. As said before this procedure is no good and if the Dr or his staff say that it affects everyone differently that's a lie too!! If that was the case then they should have charged me for one session to see how the procedure goes instead of hitting me up for $7k which was a complete waste after the year was done! read more
