I have been working with Dr. Rapaport and his superb team of plastic surgery and beauty experts for about a year now. Hands down, there is no better plastic surgery team in Manhattan! Being a highly ambitious working Mom for over twenty years; working around the clock and attempting to balance family life while caring for two active children with many interests, as well as caring for an elderly sick parent had taken a serious toll on my health and overall appearance especially with the aging process. In deciding to make a major life change and focusing on the quality of my life instead of work, I began down this journey of transforming my life with the goal of feeling healthy, happy, and whole again. Dr. Rapaport and his awesome team have made a significant difference in attaining these goals. I still have a way to go and will continue on with this team. Last October, I elected to have a lower face-lift as I began to develop small jowels on my face, as my jaw line was no longer defined which made me look older than I felt inside. The surgery took place on a Friday eve lasting three hours, with a stay overnight at a lovely hotel up the street with a wonderful nurse named Jody that works with Dr. Rapaport's office who is top-notch. I can't say enough about my care from Dr. Rap and Jody that evening, Dr. Rapaport continued to follow-up through the night with Jody! The beautiful outcome of the surgery was instantaneous! I have had many friends elect the same procedure, and going to other well-known doctors in Manhattan, and their results admittedly by them are sub-par. My friends continually say I should have listened to you and gone to Dr. Rapaport. These ladies are still trying to fix the wrongs created by their surgery a year and more later. I have been happy with my results from 24- hours following my procedure! What's notable about Dr. Rapaport's work in my opinion is that he is a perfectionist! More specifically with incision lines and with minimal scarring, and just the beautiful artistry of his plastic surgery work. My scars were hardly visible following my surgery, and now feel that the lower part of my face is softer, more feminine, sculpted perfectly, and prettier. I was very surprised that the recovery was minimal and was out a few days later. Dr. Rapaport expressed that the surgery would most likely shave about five years off my appearance. At 48-years-old, it feels awesome when people attempt to guess my age and say I look thirty-five or in my late thirties. I receive many hey-wow, you look amazing what have you done differently?". It has been some time since people complimented my appearance, which feels great, and I am so over-the-top thrilled with my beautiful results. I am now electing to get a tummy tuck and breast lift which are scheduled for October and January. I also work with Tamara, Dr. Rap's highly skilled and knowledgeable aesthetician in the office. I've had a fractoral laser treatment on my face which helped tremendously with fine lines, appearance, and quality of my skin and had a beautiful result. My skin glows now, and many of the fine lines around the eyes and face have disappeared. I am see Tamara now in reversing the sun damage to my chest, arms and legs with laser. She has removed numerous moles on my body that made my skin look older and put me at health risk. Tamara is the BEST aesthetician in NYC! She is caring, follows up consistently, and makes some pretty funny jokes along the way and makes your skin look beautiful! More recently, I have worked with Dr. Smith who performed my sister's fantastic looking eye lift, with Botox and lip injectables. He is an excellent and highly skilled physician who has an awesome disposition! I don't believe any negative review posted on this site! If you are electing to get plastic surgery, you have to be serious minded and clearly communicate your goals. You also have to be honest with your Doctor and your team, as I know unfortunately many individuals go to the doctor being talked about in the moment, or try to find a discount on surgery. This is definitely NOT the way to choose a plastic surgeon to attain a positive result!! Dr. Rapaport has done thousands and thousands of surgeries and his expertise and experience cannot be topped!. He is a caring and thoughtful physician who ensures the safety and well-being of his patients and talks extensively about this with you. With this experience, the office has a fun, youthful, positive vibe as both Dr. Rap and Dr. Smith have as well. When you decide to work with this special team, you know everyone by their first name and they will make you smile, laugh and provide tremendous reassurance through any procedure you may elect. Once he has your $ he turns into an egotistical ass. I went in for a reconstruction of my left breast due to torn/rupture , the implants were 20 years old. I woke up in severe back pain from being flopped over on the surgical table while unconscious AND then a nightmare X's 1000 began. I cannot possibly describe my back pain. At the suggestion of a top orthopedic ( whom I had to find during the pandemic) as well as a new breast surgeon (as I need yet another surgery to correct what Dr R did to me) I paid to have have a post op MRI on my back and another one on my now uneven deformed breasts. This was after waiting 2 months hoping the pain would subside and maybe the breast would some how right themselves. When the pain got simply beyond unbearable in my right breast and lower back the ortho suggested an MRI. The back MRI showed 2 bulging lower back discs. L4 & L5. To top that off the breast MRI disclosed that he placed a new implant into my RIGHT breast on top of my original implant.... AND left a VALVE inside of my right breast! It was my left breast implant btw that was leaking, NOT my right breast implant. There was clearly something VERY wrong from the start. The severely lopsided RIGHT and LEFT breasts was obvious as well as how far apart in measurement the nipples ended up. He placed two different size implants in my breast and way miscalculated. Upon waking in the post op room my back hurt so much I begged for a shot in my back, anything to alleviate my back pain AND i'd had breast surgery- not back surgery! I never saw or heard from the surgeon until I demanded to speak with him. He did not leave me a number to reach him over the weekend in case anything happened and this was a Friday surgery ( his office was closed all weekend with no " ager" system. (un heard of nor emergency contact) . So while staying in a hotel, he never called to check in ? ( seriously ?) - he called irritated days post op. I never saw him until 5 days post op- even though i told him something was very wrong. This was NOT my first breast surgery and I knew - it was obvious to all. The ONLY way to fix his botched surgery is to now have surgery again. That has been confirmed by TWO top surgeons. Dr R also cut through my breast cavity wall on the Left side and the implant falls out to the side 1/2 under my arm. He refused to deal with the situation or fix it or even be a kind professional willing to discuss. Another surgeon that saw me said " You find out who is a great doctor is when something goes wrong- they step up" Dr R did nothing to step up or take responsibility or assure me that he could or would fix it. In my opinion from my experience with him Dr Rapaport he is not a surgeon I would ever want anyone to risk be operated on by, in my opinion, he is not qualified to touch anyone for breast reconstruction. That is just my opinion from my experience. I had beautiful breast before. I have plenty of pictures. AND btw he has threatened to sue me over this Yelp review..... He has had lawyers harass me but never bothered to perhaps reach out and say- how can this be rectified ? Like a human. I can't express how much I love going to this office, it's cozy and feels like home. I underwent a breast augmentation last November. My surgeon and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and listened to my expectations and any questions I had. I was wanting to get my breasts done since I was 18 but I waited to see if that desire faded. Now in my mid 30's I decided it was the time. I was recommended to CoolSpa by a friend who had a great experience with liposuction. When I went in for my consultation I felt very at ease. My surgeon made me feel very comfortable and was truly listening to my concerns and what results I desired. He even got the opinion of the physician's assistant who was a woman. He explained what I could expect thoroughly and since I had realistic expectations he assured me my breasts would look 100% natural after full recovery. I booked my surgery and it went well, recovery wasn't painful at all. I had tenderness and swelling but it was bearable. I am so pleased with the results and even friends I haven't seen in a long time can't tell that I've had a breast augmentation. I was originally a small A cup and went to a full B cup. I also get subtle lip fillers and because of the natural results I received with my surgery I switched doctors and now only go to CoolSpa for my lip fillers. Let me begin by saying that Dr. Rapaport is truly an expert in the area of breast augmentation procedures. I had my surgery for breast augmentation back in June 2020, so my review today is an honest one (since its been now a couple of months). From my initial in person consultation to the day of surgery, and post op visits, Dr. Rapaport was very honest and direct about every aspect involving the surgery procedure and outcomes. He carefully listened to what my expectations were, and was able to give me realistic and straightforward explanation to the surgery and possible results. He walked me through what all my options were, gave me his opinion but ultimately I felt so well informed after our consultation that this enabled me to make the best decision for my surgery. The reason this is so important to me is because this was my very first time getting this procedure so I wanted a true professional and expert in this area. Also have seen/heard of many cases were the doctor doesn't really listen to the patient's needs are; this is plastic surgery after all so patient satisfaction as well as doctor's recommendations have to be carefully fused so results can be as successful as they can possibly be. I just had a BA done with Dr Rapaport and my boyfriend and I could not be more happy with the whole experience. Of course any kind of surgery is nerve racking, so as much as I tried to hide my nerves, of course they came out on multiple occasions during our multiple visits leading up the the operation. Dr Rapaport is a highly awarded doctor, and for good reason - he was very honest about what size/s would look appropriate for my body type and also generally concerned about my aesthetic outcome which I was very appreciative of! We dealt a lot with Jonathan who was our coordinator and he was very prompt with questions or concerns and getting paperwork in order in a timely and orderly fashion. One of my favorite people we dealt with was Dr Rapaport's medical assistant Hannah! She was super sweet and patient while I tried on multiple sizers and joked about how funny I felt. She also was super informative about the process, such as size, implant type, incision location, etc. It was awesome to have a girl around my own age to feel even more comfortable with when I had questions that I felt were silly. She even reached out to my boyfriend and I after to make sure everything was going well and answered my recovery questions right away. I received a Dermalinfusion treatment by Dawn at Dr.Rapaport's office. 5 days later, I'm already seeing promising improvements to my skin. Here's a quick breakdown. My skin concerns: * Acne scars * Uneven skin tone * Aging spots * Clogged pores with whitehead spread across the forehead * Dryness on the cheeks What I received: * Dermal Infusion with Clarifying Serum Treatment * The treatment is supposed to perform deep extraction to clarify my pores and infuse the pores with a hydrating serum and help regenerate skin cells. I walked into Dr. Rapaport's office not knowing a thing about plastic surgery. I wasn't famous or fabulously awesome so I wasn't expecting much. What i got was a complete surprise! Every member of his staff is intelligent respectful considerate and kind. They were all total professionals. Every question or phone call got a prompt response. I was scheduled for surgery a few weeks after my first appointment. I had a complete face lift and blepharoplasty done in his office. The procedure took about 4 hours. The anesthesiologist was excellent. I remember absolutely nothing from any of it. Dr Rapaport did a good job explaining to me exactly what to expect. He was forthright and truthful about everything. The most important thing i want to say is that he did an outstanding job. I made a point to follow his instructions obsessively. It took time to heal and see the real results. Now i get positive compliments everywhere. It is hard to even tell I've had a facelift. I say Dr Rapaport is an excellent surgeon. He is truthful and trustworthy. I had Cellfina done 3 weeks ago. Dr Rapaport has excellent bed manners: the incisions marks are almost invisible and for someone who normally bruises pretty bad, the bruises from the procedure were not bad at all and are already gone. My recovery is going smoothly. I firmly believe that dr Rapaport's practiced hand is the reason why I am having a successful recovery and insignificant incision marks. His long and outstanding experience made me feel very confident that I was in good hands. Dr Rapaport is also super nice and friendly. He literally makes you feel at home. The staff is also friendly and attentive. They do their best to schedule in ASAP if you want to, post-procedure to check in on you multiple times to make sure you are ok. There's a great post-procedure follow up. I went back a few days after the procedure and I m scheduled to go again in a few weeks. He really checks in on his work and takes care of his patients. He truly cares for them and he loves what he does. It's too soon for me to assess the results of the procedure. I am just entering week 3. I will publish a post on my results at the 3 months mark. NEWCOMERS STAY AWAY!!! I had a small procedure done, however Rapaport had miscalculated and I was left in pain that lasted for DAYS, with unnecessary long cut which will cause me many issues in the future. I called the office next day, but I was ignored by the "doctor". Finally, I did get a call from his his secretary who suggested I have no clue what I'm talking about. The local anesthesia shot was very painful so I had to focus on the pain, but when I came home I realized that Rapaport didn't even bother to scrub nor wash his hands before my surgery. He just put on the gloves. I'm now TERRIFIED more than ever. Not only I'm in pain for days, have bruising that will turn in to a very thick long and visible scar that will stay on for life unless I'll find a real medical professional for revision, but ALSO I may have an INFECTION due to his slappy work. Rapaport calls himself a doctor and a surgeon but he won't scrub or even wash his hands prior surgery. IMAGINE THAT?!?!?! I've received the most unprofessional, slappy treatment and don't wish anyone to go through the same thing I did. Save yourself trouble and AVOID this practice. read more

I considered liposuction because I had gained almost 20 pounds over the last few years and a lot around the middle. What I used to do to take off the weight was not working and it was disheartening. I wanted to get more definition around my waist and kick start my plan to lose the extra weight. I have an extremely positive review for Dr. Rapaport. In 2005, I had liposuction on love handles and in lower abdomen, because no amount of gym and exercise would remove fat in those areas. The results? Were immediate and lasting -- 10 years later, my abs are still lean. The most important result for me because of the surgery however was this: I had increased self esteem, felt great about myself and my body, and because of this I was even more motivated to exercise, eat healthy, and work on being in the best shape I could be. I see Dr. Rapaport periodically for Restalyne injections. Im not sure where some of these negative reviews came from, but the context does speak to the character of those reviewing. He has never been anything other than professional and friendly and has made it a point to make the process comfortable. He listens to what you'd like and then gives you an honest opinion. Most doctors will take you for your money, but he has at times told me that i do not need to get anything overly done. Yes he has suggested other procedures but never with pressure. I mean, how else do you find out about something new that he is offering?! People will always have something negative to say when they are unhappy with themselves or expect an unreasonable service. This guy is good and i will continue going to him. It's not easy finding a doctor who can make lips and cheek enhancements look natural. Most give an overdone look which is not cute. I was referred to Dr Rappaport by a girlfriend who had the most natural results. Over the course of multiple consultations (as he was very patient and methodical with me) he described the surgery defining what a realistic/reasonable outcome is likely to be. I am a man who sought out Coolsculpting in August, 2014. I was, of course, skeptical of the procedure when I first learned about it, and the phrase "too good to be true" certainly came to mind. But I figured I'd give it a shot and, if it didn't work, I'd take monetary the loss and consider something else. Meeting Dr. Rapaport and his very friendly and professional staff reassured me somewhat. I underwent the procedure several times and, while it is somewhat uncomfortable during the first five minutes, it quickly becomes tolerable (I watched television the whole time I was being treated). Eleven months later, I am amazed at the change to my body. My "love handles" are gone and my stomach is flatter and more defined. What's more, I have lost 10 pounds as this procedure incentives you to eat better and enjoy the aesthetic results. In sum, I heartily recommend both this procedure and Dr. Rapaport.
