The show was absolutely FABULOUS, first up its an interactive show so you pick up your instruments on the way in, pots,pans, bottles with beads or something inside to make plenty of noise and a drum stick. If you are noise sensitive this IS NOT the show for you the kids REALLY enjoy this show. Before the show the waitresses swoop down on you and start delivering drinks, i dont know where they're mixing them or getting them from but they're quick. Drinks were good and average priced $9-$12. Now the show, the 4 guys are gorgeous and you root for them according to the color on your instrument, that is your team for the night.They first appeared upside down coming from the ceiling playing drums. The music they made with buckets, ladders, wielding tools and other stuff was crazy. After the show they autograhped our purchases and posed for pictures. We are definately going to see it again.

The staff were friendly, the snacks were reasonably priced, and the $6 parking is an unbeatable value. We had such a fantastic time that we immediately tried to purchase season tickets, though we were disappointed to find they were already sold out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier theatrical experience! ​ It is a shame about the season tickets being sold out, but it speaks volumes about the quality of the productions they put on! I didn't know that a place named Swan Dive existed in the Arts District. I went there to a show…read morelast night. There are two entrances--one for Swan Dive and one for Ugly Duckling at Swan Dive. The Ugly Duckling is a karaoke theatre. The Swan Dive is more for established bands and singing groups. There is a nice bar and lounge between the two sides. We waited there foir the house to open for the show, one of the Fallout Fringe Festival productions--to open. The room is fairly large. Seating is on folding chairs facing the stage. This is not a fancy room. The acoustics were fine and this set of performing theatre is a great additon to the Arts District. There is a large pay parking lot nearby, so you won't be walking a long distance and it's before the damn construction on Main and Charleston. It was a great show with freinds of mine doing songs from Off-Off Broadway shows for the most part. I told Siri to play Meadowlark on the way home and I relived part of the show. I am so pleased this performance space i available!

I plan on going back on September 20th it's during the day with a NFL watch party/bbq included. This is a must due for anybody interested in charity organizations and giving back or philanthropy. Full disclosure: since my initial visit to Mondays Dark in 2016, they have relocated to The Space LV (in what seems to be a sketchy neighborhood, based on Mark's jokes throughout the show), and their events are biweekly now, instead of monthly. As a woman on the cusp of menopause but not as close as I'd like to be, I thoroughly appreciate a non-profit whose mission is devoted to supplying menstruation materials. Project Marilyn is dedicated to providing pads & tampons to women unable to source those supplies elsewhere. What an amazing cause! I am so pleased to have serendipitously supported this organization. I'd coerced a couple of co-workers to attend with me on May 9th (2022), which wasn't difficult since Monday happened to be our only free night before our work convention began on Tuesday. And y'all may be aware that there are no shows on the Strip on Mondays (nor on Broadway in NYC) ... hence all stages are dark. We took a Lyft each way (from Harrah's on the Strip) with zero issues. The show was nearly two full hours & I enjoyed every minute. My obscenely critical friends had notes for some of the performers, but they can write their own reviews (they won't). I will say, for myself, that every performance was outstanding, though I definitely had some favorites. I mean, MADONNA was the theme, so.... TL;DR: Mondays Dark is still awesome! As I mentioned previously, each show benefits a local non-profit, so you can pretend you're charitable in Sin City. This biweekly fundraising event is a great way to see a variety of amazing performers in one show at a possibly sketchy off-strip venue.

This musical ran for 23 performances before going on hiatus to return in September according to…read morepress releases. I waited for a while before getting my ticket because I wanted the show to make any changes during/after the preview period. Then I read that the show would be closing on 17 June and ostensibly reopening in September. I know that the Strip is littered with shows that went on hiatus never to return. Given that the show was closing, I quickly bought a ticket for Tuesday, 12 June and I went again last night--closing night--on a comp ticket. Seeing the show twice gave me the chance to mull over my initial thoughts and to look for things I may have missed the first time. The cast is outstanding! Ruby Lewis, Travis Cloer, and Randal Keith are vocally superb! Frank Lawson, Charlie--Marilyn Monroe's driver--was also solid voice in the production. There are some problems with the show that I perceive. While the company has excellent dancers, there are times that they're dancing that it just doesn't make sense like during an argument between Monroe and Darryl Zanuck. This after Zanuck yelled at her to get out of his office. Instead, she stays, they sing, the dancers dance, and the scene continues when it should have ended. I liked the counterpoint offered by Norma Jean and Monroe but I can see how some thought this was awkward or just didn't understand. Last, the biggest change I'd make is the ending. It's a bit much to have the death scene followed quickly by a pert Monroe singing "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend." I know this is done to bring the cast out for their curtain call but I think it would have been better simply to end the show, wait a few moments for the quick change of clothes for Lewis, bring the dancers out from the wings for their curtain call, and then bring out the principals. At that time, Lewis could break into her "Diamonds" song and it would be more sensible than what is done now. One last mention about the small band/orchestra (does one string player make an orchestra?). They are excellent. Now let's dump some of the less successful songs and modify the story a bit, cut down on the yelling, and reopen in September and turn this into a hit! I can only hope!

There is definitely a shining star in Brittney Bertier (Norma Jeane), Ruby Lewis (Marilyn Monroe), and my personal favorite Frank Lawson (Charlie). My hat off to all performers for an incredible performance. The show in itself as a story line - not so great. There were two numbers that felt quite out of place including Charlie's "I Just Wanna Drive" and Ella's jazz number. Although both were great to witness, due to the talent in both individuals, it was hard to see the importance of how it related to Marilyn's life on a greater level. Lighting seemed to be a difficulty as well. It was very minimal compared to other Vegas shows - even at the Paris. There were also a few times where the lighting was out of place and not shining on the performer. The stage performance operations were a little lackluster, in my opinion. Did I learn a lot about Marilyn's perceived life? I sure did. And I have a newfound appreciation for the icon that she is and the difficulties that she faced as an individual. However, I feel that the show could have done more in providing the emotion behind the story. On a side note: the seating in the theater was pretty uncomfortable and made it hard to sit still for a long period of time. At the end of the day, I am glad I had the opportunity to experience the musical while I could; but I would say that I would have to pass on the chance to see it again.

One down side is that the staffing level is usally pretty low, but they do their best to get you checked in, seated and drink orders. Other downsides are the drinks are not spectacular, and for this particular show they really had the music too loud and could of got just a good or better result with it lower. For these few reasons, I would say the venue is 3 Stars rather than 4 Stars. The Black Girl Magic and Burlesque Show itself was very unique and entertaining, and we would say it's a 4-5 Stars overall. The 5 girls were all beautiful and intriguing, and their dance and show routines were very entertaining amd impressive along with their costumes. The make their way through the crowd so make sure you take cash to get funny money for tipping. The also have a routine at the end call "King or Queen For The Day" where if it's a special occasion, you can pay a fee to go up on stage, and be the center of attention as the 5 lovely and sexy girls dance around you. It is quite unique and entertaining. They do allow photos and videos during the show which I was surprised, but I elected not to take any rather just enjoy the fun and wonderful entertainment provide by these lovely and beautiful ladies!! The only thing that was noticed was the transitions were slow and long between acts due to costume changes so having videos or an MC between them would be an improvement. We definitely would recommend seeing this unique show to couples, groups and even single individuals since it is a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

It's pretty rare for any venue in Las Vegas to have decent parking, let alone FREE parking so whenever I had the chance to come here it always felt like everything was just a little cheaper because of that. I've been here a few times from seeing Papa Roach, Living Colour, Fabulous, and my most recent show (which was still like 2 years ago) of Social Distortion and Bad Religion. This venue is absolutely massive featuring a giant floor for standing room, multiple standing room balcony's, table seating, as well as a ton of upper level seating as well and outside of not living the very top row of seats (that was my fault, waited way too late to get tickets) I've never really had a bad time here. The sound has always sounded good, the screens have always worked, and anytime I've interacted with staff it's been nothing but pleasant. Overall, The Theater is a great place to see a show and I would be happy to return in the future whenever I find myself back in Las Vegas.
