The waitress forgot my friends water order 2 times and she even had waters on her tray. The band was good but the sound was not as good as I expected. They need to get better sound techs as the singer had to have his microphone changed out 3 times during the night. Even one star is too many. My girlfriend and I recently went to see a band and yet again, it was an absolute disaster. And this was not the first time but rather an ongoing problem with this venue. The lone positive is the excellent sound but that's the only bright spot. The main problem is the extremely limited seating. The bulk of the tables are apparently 'reserved' for friends/relatives of the band. Bands hit the stage at 9, doors open at 8. We arrived extra early at 6:30! There were only about 10 people on line ahead of us and I was sure we'd get a table. WRONG! We were STILL unable to get a table. Instead, we had no choice but to sit on a bench with a bad view of the stage. In the past, we showed up at 7:15, 7:00 and 6:45--and were STILL not able to get a table. Maybe it's me but I refuse to wait 2 1/2 hours before a band starts to see them play for 2 hours. NO Vegas lounge act is worth it. Granted, they do have elevated tables off to the side but those require a $175 drink minimum and when there's just 2 of us, there's no way to drink that much in a couple hours. In addition to the debacle of there not being enough tables, the bargirls are VERY slow. This last time we went, I walked to the bar directly outside the bar and had to wait 15 minutes for 2 drinks! It wasn't even crowded. That is unacceptable!!! It sucks to write this review because now that Vamp'd and Club Madrid are closed, there are very few venues left but this place is NOT worth the hassle. I highly doubt we'll ever return here. read more

If I could give Rock's Lounge zero stars, I absolutely would. I was walking around Red Rock Casino and decided to stop by this particular bar setup. What followed was a display of poor service that's left me questioning this establishment's priorities. I stood at the bar, waiting to be acknowledged like the other patrons, but the bartender had other plans. He was glued to the television, doing the occasional scan of the room, but somehow, I seemed invisible. When he *finally* glanced in my direction, it wasn't to serve me. He cut his eyes at me and went right back to watching the TV, completely disregarding that I was standing there, clearly waiting for service. After realizing that the TV was far more important than a paying customer like myself, I decided to walk away. As I left, I took a photo of the situation--a perfect snapshot of the bartender still more invested in what's happening on screen than in doing his job. My question to Red Rock Casino is this: Is this the type of image you want to portray to customers? I would hate to speculate that my treatment had anything to do with my appearance, especially when the clientele at the bar was all of one shade and I happen to be another. But this experience left me wondering. I sincerely hope this was just a matter of poor customer service and not something deeper, though the feeling was hard to shake. Ultimately, I hope management takes a hard look at the kind of service their employees are providing--or rather, not providing. read more

I have always wondered what the theatre was like at Rocks Lounge in Red Rock Casino because from the outside it looks like there's not much there. I had a ticket for their monthly Brunch to Broadway show and I found out it's much larger than I expected. Entering just beyond the west side of the video poker bar, you enter and see this good sized theatre with two sections of chairs. I managed to get a seat in the front row--the place you'll normally see me--and it turned out to be a very good show in s quite comfortable theatre. Now that I know how nice the theatre is, I'll keep my eye out for programs at Rocks Lounge and go to see more. read more

The lounge was the setting for a HalloWine event sponsored by 107.9 FM. I can't recall the last time I've been to an event at Rocks Lounge, so I was looking forward to it! We got there early and had our choice of seating, but the first place we tried to sit (along the perimeter) we were shooed away and told it was "reserved". Such BS and THERE WERE NO RESERVED SIGNS! The wine tasting station for the event was really impressive, It was billed as a "tasting" but they were pouring full glasses- Happy HalloWine indeed! We enjoyed the music played by 107.9 FM and the videos. They should've decorated the lounge, it was Halloween, for crying out loud! The dance floor was open and I hope more events like this are scheduled so I can get out there and boogie next time! read more

Just attended Superbowl viewing party where paid $120 each hoping for a great experience. Oh my God was I disappointed. First we were told there was an open bar, if there was it was definitely not inside the room. They did have cocktail servers to take your order, but that's not an open bar :) and at times you could not locate a server :( The food selection would have been ok if we had paid maybe $20 dollars each, especially since all that was served were hot dogs, sliders, greasy chicken wings, tortilla chips with an assortment of topping to include nacho cheese and chili and bags of potato chips. Yep that's it folks. I should have gone in first to check out the place so that's my bad, but for anyone planning to attend in the future for one of these events learn from my lesson. You also had the option of going in to view the game for free but you wouldn't be able to partake in any of the food or "open bar". We were told that souvenirs would be handed out during the game I got a bud light hand towel at the end of the third quarter The room was half full and not a lot of excitement in fact it was basically big room with a big screen to watch a free game and pay an inflated price for what was one of my worst experiences in 30 years of watching Superbowl games, and I really look forward to The Big Game. I will try someplace else next year and doubt I'll ever go back to Rock Lounge inside The Red Rock Hotel. read more

He was on top of everything in a timely manner, while still paying attention to each of his customers and giving us great service. He has a great witty attitude and had us laughing the whole time. The venue is okay. It is small and intimate, but the seating has a lot to be desired. Went to see Richard Cheese this past weekend. This is not my first Richard Cheese event, but if it was it would be my last. Richard seemed off of his game this time around, although the addition of the Me So Horny Section (Brass Band) was a plus. Still, I could have had the same experience at home listening to him on Spotify. There were moments when I thought that he was going to snap out of it only to find Richard stalling with the band. I believe people like to see him for the "shock factor"... I mean he is only a cover artist/comedian but the only thing shocking this time was the price of cocktails. Oh well. Maybe next time he'll pull his head out of his A** and perform as he used to. The Venue is easy to get to, parking is convenient but trying to get a drink when this place is busy, forget it. An hour and a half show with not one cocktail server working the main audience. read more

Went to see Kiefer Sutherland last night and they filled up the front row so that no one could reach the back Exit. We would have been trapped if their was a fire or worse... Shame on Red Rock for putting its customers in harms way. I brought the situation to their attention before the show started and it was never resolved. read more

4.25- this is mostly credited to the group that was performing here. Friday nite, we get into Vegas, what should we do? Why don't we go out? Great, but where? Well for us, that question lead us to the Red Rock Casino. We were staying with a friend who lived North of the strip, and figured it was a bit late for us to try and get in to any of the more popular hot spots. This turned out to be a great exp. As we walked around the RR, we were impressed with how new, and classy this place appeared to be. This was surprising to us, because most of the casinos we had seen off the strip were abit dingy and seedy. We were going to go to Cherry's nightclub, when we heard music coming from Rock's Lounge. The band was called Zowie Bowie, and they were awesome. Zowie Bowie was something we had never seen before. They were a band, but they performed Hip Hop, R & B, and rap songs. What's more was that they were surprisingly good. They transitioned from Snoop Dogg to Danity Kane, to Akon. It was like the place had a dj, only it was a band. My wife and I really enjoyed their show, and spent most of the nite "getting our groove on." The party started to wind down around 3am, but overall, we really liked the place (especially the band). The crowd was a fair mix of mid 20's up to the early 40's. As long as Zowie Bowie is playing, we would definitely come back. read more

The Dirty band was playing this night. I actually enjoyed the music they were playing but the crowd was a little bit different from what I was expecting. Top 40 music from all genre was great. The lead singer had a fantastic voice. Drinks were a little overpriced. Sitting arrangement was a little weird. VIP booths looks cozy, the little half booths they had were a little cozy but the table and chair arrangement by the dance floor... needs a little work. More tables and chairs should do the trick. read more

Rocks Lounge is a terrific, intimate venue. Located inside the Red Rocks Casino, you'll have plenty to do around the Lounge while you wait for your show to start. If you bought tickets in advance, you'll need to pick them up at the casino's Will Call booth, which located near the Keno stand. This is about 50 yards from the Lounge entrance and is easy to find thanks to ample signage pointing out the Keno area. Once you've got your tickets you can head back to the Lounge and proceed in, providing you're less than one hour prior to the start of the act. If you're early, you can grab a drink at the oval-shaped bar which is half on the Lounge side and half on the Casino side. The bartenders here were the friendliest ones I encountered in the casino. They were very prompt and required no waving or signal flares or hand signals to get their attention. Drinks were priced appropriately (as opposed to similar venues in town!) and well-made. When the doors open you are funneled into the Lounge area, which is all General Admission except for the reserved booths on either side. Those looked fabulous and spacious, and are priced to match their level of exquisiteness. The hardwood floor is great for dancing to the music, but can be rough on the feet if you're wearing inappropriate footwear. As this venue is essentially standing-room-only, you'll not want to wear high heels or anything funky in here. Stick to comfortable footwear or wind up barefoot like several young ladies I observed. The best place to stand for the sake of acoustics is about fifteen feet back from the stage. Standing right at the stage offers you no real advantage other than a crick in your neck as you'll be staring straight up. Add to that the fact that you're directly under the ceiling speakers which are pointed behind you, and you wind up missing some of the music. So no need to rush the stage right as the venue opens. There seemed to be a concern amongst a pair of Lounge attendees as to why they paid for tickets when others could hear the music from the casino floor. I wouldn't worry about this. The casino has so much ambient noise that the music would not sound great out there, and security keeps the walkways clear of stragglers who may try and gather just outside the Lounge to listen in for free. There did seem to be some folks at the casino side of the Lounge bar who could get a good earful of the music, but their view would have been completely obscured by the center of the bar itself. So worry not, busybody ticket-buyers. You're getting what you paid for, and nobody else is. read more

Every Saturday, the Peelers perform at 11pm. As for cover bands they are entertaining. Not only do they span all genres, but they do mash ups as well. The crowd is older, but the atmosphere is fun. Drinks are not crazy expensive and certain bartenders make it worth the price. Most drinks will run you $8 for a basic alcohol plus mixer combo. Finding a seat is difficult because they fill up quickly. Getting there early is not a big deal since the band is good. They were thoroughly entertaining. read more

Im a Local ok... i come here often when i moved here i was referred to the the sports bar at red rock... big mistake, giovanni , juan pena, whatever the guys name is stay away from that bar. if you want a good experience at red rock trust me go to the rocks lounge and ask for Chuck. We came here for a viewing party. The place is pretty small. We were lucky enough to snag some tables in the back so we could have a place to set our drinks. They did have drink specials during the game so that was nice. Downside was that it took a very long time to get a waitress to come to us. They'd go to all the tables around us, but we had to constantly grab their attention and even then they'd say they'll be right back and not done back for 20 minutes. The lounge itself is nice, nothing fancy, but it's a nice little locals spot to hangout, especially when they have sports viewing parties. It does get crowded quick so make sure you get there early if you want good seats. read more

For those nights when you feel like doing some people watching in Summerlin, this is a good spot. I prefer to sit on the inside of the bar, facing out towards the casino. If you get there early enough, you may bear witness to a natural phenomenon: the retirees slowly transform into a younger, more vivacious crowd as night falls. The transition actually occurs in stages of generational movement. The patrons begin gray, then just a touch of gray or a little obvious "Just for Men" treatment. Then the aging continues to reverse until the 20-30 something larvae emerge! Sometimes, if you're lucky, you get to see the rare, yet magnificent, silverback adorned in an embroidered affliction shirt! Douchebaggery knows no age! Either way, it's a pretty good bar to be an observer. Unfortunately, 2 out of the 3 bartenders didn't know how to make a whiskey old fashioned sweet. The first gal gave it a try. It was meh...the 2nd guy muddled 3 maraschino cherries in the glass and poured some of the syrup in the drink. He thought that "sweet" meant I wanted it extra sweet. I had to explain that it means I didn't want a whiskey old fashioned sour. I think he was older than me. Maybe he's new to bartending. Luckily, the 3rd guy, Kelly, knew what he was doing. Thank goodness. I may have ordered an insulin shot back if they screwed it up again. This was a tough rating for me. I actually had a good time people watching, and free Zowie Bowie show was pretty cool. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have paid cover to see them. The poor bartending skills killed it for me though. I would go back, but when I'm at Red Rock, I usually find myself over at Onyx bar, enjoying a nice bourbon, and avoiding the crowd all together. read more

We've gone to Rocks Lounge twice to see Franky Perez. In you haven't heard of Franky Perez, he's this talented, local who has a show here (Saturday night) and at Palms (Sunday night). My friend took me to the Palms to see him first. I absolutely loved him! My husband and I have made a point of going to Rocks Lounge to see him. There's something missing about this lounge. I'm pretty sure it's the acoustics. Everything still sounds good but it doesn't sound as great as at the Palms. As far as everything else goes...no complaints. Fast drink service, friendly waitresses, average drink prices. I'm sure we'll make our way back here to see him so long as he continues to perform on Saturday nights. read more

The one star was only because I couldn't give negative stars! So... We heard Mark Curry was doing a one nighter there. I went to ticketmaster and there it was...but I couldn't get it to let me purchase tickets. So I called Red Rock box office and they told me to call ticketmaster. Ticketmaster couldn't get it to work either but confirmed Curry was scheduled. In a few minutes it displayed Rita Rudner/ Mark Curry so I hurried and bought front row center tix! Feeling good cuz it wasn't highway robbery. About 130.00 for two seats. We drive four hours from California, arrive at Red Rock... Get to the Lounge... Still nobody knows anything... The marquee outside only says Rudner. The seating is a joke! Cheap metal chairs on the dance floor touching each other , we were in so tight it was shoulder to shoulder and packed. Hubby and I were clearly the youngest ones there by at least a decade. I could smell the Ben Gay on the guy two seats over and hear every word of the conversation three rows back . It was not comfortable! A local ( and yes funny) dj comes out and jokes it up for about 20 minutes. Then Rudner came out. End of show. No drinks offered, which would be hard to sip because I think the guy next to me would have had it easier to drink anything in my hand... We were that close. There were piles of trash on the floor from old folks sneaking candy and cokes in. It looked like a movie theatre after two kids only matinees! So here's the bad part! I asked an usher after the show what happened to Mark Curry, she left and returned and told me said anyone with answers was gone for the night! As we walked out, sticking to spilled Coke and tripping on piles of trash , we see the dj at the exit into the casino from the lounge... I figured I'd ask her... Maybe illness? Apparently she might have been the person I needed ... But she just kept thanking her friends for coming and for spreading the tickets ... And every time I thought my patience might pay off.. She would take a couple steps away from me and start shaking hands with her buddies again! My opinion is that I may have been the only paying customer in the place! I am sooooo angry! If I had been notified that curry wasn't coming I could have cancelled and gone somewhere else. Filthy cheap venue that was a sham! I'm disappointed! read more

If you pay to go to a concert there you are a absolute moron. I went to a blues concert there. Tickets were 20 bucks, by the time you buy one there was 14 bucks of junk fees on top of it. WTF! Then nobody that works there knows where to pick up the tickets in the casino, then once you enter rocks lounge, there are zero seats! So any ladies wearing heels are screwed. You can also watch the same concert I payed to see for FREE just by standing right outside the lounge!! Red rock you owe me. read more

We love attending events here. We often go to the Wednesday evening 7 pm shows, which are jazz or pops oriented for the 60s and up crowd. It is an intimate, casual and smoke free setting. Most acts have a full band, but not all. The late night events may have a cover, but never for the early shows. If lucky, we catch some dancing too. read more

We stopped in twice while we stayed at Red Rocks and found the Rocks Lounge to be a nice place to kill some time. The bartenders were really cool and made some amazing margaritas and bloody mary's. And the prices were right...2 bloody mary's and a Bud were $15...compare that to the Voodoo Lounge, where 2 vodka cranberries and 2 Buds were $39!. Whoa! read more

We were looking forward to seeing The Fab. We went in and there were no chairs, only a few tables up front that were all reserved. We asked the 2 security guys if we could get some chairs, he said they already talked with management and all the chairs were being used for something else. No apology, nothing. We turned around and left. It was very disappointing since we had been looking forward to seeing the band. This is no way to treat their guests. Now mind you, this isn't a review for the overall performance of this bar as a whole. This is to review during UFC event's. My wife and I usually head to Palace Station whenever we want to see one of the big fight cards, but we like feast buffet at Red Rock so for Jones/Cormier, we decided to watch it at red rock as well. We will probably never go there to do so again. Now I know each area can operate differently, but when you charge people to come in and watch something, like Palace, you should probably have enough seats to cover at least a good part of your crowd... like Palace. All paying did was allow my wife and I to stand at the very back of the area to watch the fight on a screen smaller than our home TV (and we paid about what it would have cost to watch at home). They kept bringing people in as well and held a line outside of people who were paying/already paid. Any chair in the place was "already taken" or "reserved" so you have about 30 people sitting and 100 people standing around. Horrible setup for these kinds of events. At least if you're in a bar watching, standing is a part of the atmosphere and can be fun, this just made all the fights drag out here. read more

I go to Redrock often I play there a lot and I've been to the Rock Lounge a few times as well .and it just happened last Friday I went to the lounge with my friends and we accidentally spilled drink and they helped us clean up . All the sudden the security guy start hitting on my friend my friend kinda feel weird about it she didn't care we we're just laughing and having fun . and when he feel like she not into him he told us we have to live Lounge area . We weren't order a drink from the cocktail server or from the bartender and he start telling us the bartender cut us of we have to live .and I said we not in the bar and we haven't ordered drinks from the bar or from the cocktail server .I said just want to know who cut us of because we weren't ordering a drink from the bar .no he doesn't have no answer who cut us of .
