Today, as a self pay patient, the doctor and his staff once again treated me with the utmost respect, were willing to consider my financial situation (instead of pushing me into something), and worked with me to get a treatment plan that suited me, my finances, and the future of my teeth. I've had extractions, cleanings, and root canals at Dr Moore's office, and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable, I just won't go anywhere else. I haven't needed it, but they do provide sedation dentistry for folks who have a dental fear. I would recommend them to anyone. His office is on Roan right next to Boones Creek Pharmacy (another great local business), he's a Tennessee native, and a veteran. Make an appointment.

This is a hard mix to find, especially in the medical profession. I was particularly impressed with my parents' last visit. This practice has taken all of the necessary steps to protect their patients against COVID-19. For example, we waited in the car until it was time for my parents' appointment. Staff came wearing masks to the car and escorted my parents inside and returned my parents at the end of the appointment. Also, staff took the time to explain the results of their exam to me and invited me to use their restroom or bring coffee back to our car while I waited. This was a very nice touch. My parents and Johnson City are very fortunate to have Dr. Moore's practice.

A total stranger told me, oh he's really a dentist. I said, I'm glad he's good at something because as a contractor he stinks. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they tried to contact him but he ignored them like his employees ignore people they have contracts with. He even REVIEWED his OWN business on the Wood Construction website! Since my negative reviews on Google etc for Wood C&R LLC get ignored maybe I'll have to get my teeth straightened by $33,000 to get his attention. How do they sleep ripping off disabled old ladies like me? I'm living in a wreck of a house for months with nothing but excuses and he lives in a mansion... Give me my money back "Doc." Bills change each month, they add late fees to payments when we have already paid well over 3k. Billing lady in the Bristol office talks faster than any used car salesman and if I wasn't already in the middle of this I would use another dentist just for the billing nightmare that happens here. Went to hospital,they couldn't help , no dentists in Tazewell or anywhere near would see me or help me because I wasn't an established patient . My daughter n law made the last call we were going to make to ask for help and thank God it was Dr Moore and Laningham's office! Dr Laningham didn't care if I was an established patient , he did care that I was in pain and needed help. Him and his assistant gave up part of their Saturday to come in and remove my tooth so I wouldn't have to be in pain the rest of the weekend , and so I could finally eat or drink something! He also charged me less than we paid for my husband to have a tooth removed during regular business hours with a scheduled appointment! If I need any dental done while I'm still around the area , I will drive the hour to go there. Nice to know there are doctors out that that still care and have compassion and sympathy for someone in pain. Him and his assistant was very nice and professional . The alarms went off when the dentist had a very difficult time with the partial dentures. The product was so miserable, the option of going without them often crossed my mind. Adding to the review, the dentist was supplied with a copy of a full mouth xray; taken while in the hospital. When asked to review the xray for some needed dental work, the dentist never looked at them. I had to retrieve them from his office staff ( which seems to have a very high turnover rate ); with no apologies nor reason for not taking care of a return patient. Never again. Avoid this place like the plague. Fore warned is fair warned.
