What a gem!!! We came in on a Saturday, no one else was there but a few ppl came after. He is located in an alley with beautiful art. You can park in the back free parking lot if you don't want to park on the street. After ordering, our food was out in 10-15 min CHEF BURGER - Fresh, flavorful, and masterfully put together. The sweet potato fries are hands down THE BEST sweet potato fries you could ever have. He puts the Habit's fries to absolute shame in every way. CORNED BEEF & CABBAGE - My husband got this and we both loved it. Like LOOOOVED IT. It was a St Patrick's day special but I hope he keeps it as a permanent item!!!!!! SMOOTHIES - So fresh! It was like someone made them at the bar on a beach. He uses real ingredients, not powder and syrups. Prices were fantastic, and the food was even better. I appreciate that he uses real high quality ingredients. I seriously can't wait to come back and try more things! He's been open for 3 years - however he opened just before Covid. I grew up in this town. I have since moved away several years ago. Over the years I had heard about this place as one of the small local businesses that has helped revitalize the town a bit. I finally had the chance to eat here after I had some business cards printed. What really stood out to me when I first walked in was the cozy atmosphere and the personal greeting you get from the staff. You could tell this is the kind of place where the staff takes pride in what they do. I ordered a burger with a salad and root beer. I always pay with cash for my meals and I was told I got a discount that day for paying with cash. In all honesty, I believe they deserve every penny with a tip on top of that. My burger had a nice mix of melted cheese and mushrooms and my salad had feta and a side of balsamic vinegar, my favorite. As I ate I had over heard another customer ask about David's well-being. The customer had mentioned that he was a compassionate man who had given them a hand in the past and had cooked for them when they were going through their own struggle. They said he had asked, "what would the people like in this community to eat?" Just by hearing this account, I knew this place was made by a righteous man of character. Character that may seem has disappeared in the world, but David was proof it still exists. I did not have the honor to meet David, but I did have the honor to eat at his restaurant. Epic little hidden gem in Santa Paula. Great food and wonderful customer service. Only outdoor seating right now. Order food at the counter and grab a table. They'll bring food to you pretty quickly. Excellent catering company. Very delicious pastas, fresh salads, best dressings, and scrumptious appetizers. They provided us with a well organized presentation of the food and very loving customer service. My sister requested her bridal shower food from here, and now I found my go to catering company.
