Fresh Curry Chefs is a fantastic, although very small, Indian food restaurant next to Tony's Pizza and across the street from the Amtrak/Metrolink station in Camarillo. They have an excellent selection of Indian food and everything I've had has been absolutely delicious. For dinner, I especially like the thalis that include rice, naan, soup, a vegetable dish, and yogurt with the main entree. They also have excellent Indian drinks, desserts, and sides. The owner came out to check on us and she was so kind, hospitable and shared some history with us on how Lola Betty's came to be. From food truck to walk up, she said that some people really preferred or hoped for a sit down restaurant. I don't have a preference. I only love the soul and passion that is poured into one's food. Love, soul and passion can be found here. The owner says, "I just really wanted a place where you can really be attentive and really take the time to cook the food the way it should be made". Once you step inside the store, the old photographs that evoke Mister Softee's history and the classic interior will make you feel as if you've traveled back in time. Looking at the photos displayed in the store, you can see that the truck was used in a scene from the movie, and that Mister Softee has been loved by many for a long time. Isn't it wonderful that parents and children can enjoy the same taste together for many years? I always order soft-serve ice cream at the truck, so this time I thought I'd try something different: a strawberry sundae. It's easy to see why this simple yet delicious ice cream is so popular. The service was also good and friendly. They were selling original merchandise in the store, and everything was so cute! They also offer ice cream catering services, making it perfect for children's birthday parties and other special occasions. They don't have many parking spaces. I parked on the street.
