I want to say that "The Wash" cars are interfering with the parking for shoppers at Lassen's Health Foods. I went to Lassen's recently and was completely blocked in by cars coming out of "The Wash" tunnel, complicated further by two cars trying to back out of "The Wash" car slots and backing out into the Lassen's area. Unbelievable and frustrating!! My car nearly was hit even though I was not moving. I was blocked in because cars continued to come out of the tunnel, but couldn't yet access the other area until those people moved. This caused a pile up of vehicles around the Lassen's area, blocking me in, where I could not move into a parking slot. Who planned this anyway? Was any thought given to how these pileups can occur? In addition, "The Wash" causes a lot of unwanted noise for the Lassen's customers, especially when they eat outside. My thoughts: Move the car wash somewhere else.

I have driven by it hundreds of times and never seen it before. The store seems to be comparable to Whole Foods prices. A clerk saw me looking at the supplements and offered to help me. She knew exactly where the one I wanted was. I love checking out all the low sugar or no sugar snacks. I was surprised to not see any low carb tortillas though. I bought some organic spices and pork chorizo. The spices were about $1-2 more than organic herbs and spices sold on regular grocery stores. The produce looked really nice. The Romaine lettuce was big, leafy and fresh looking for $3.99; the same price I paid for non-organic and subpar product at Red Barn Market that is close to me. It's a great little store to check out.

A few odds and ends but mostly groceries. I appreciate that you can find things for dietary restrictions here, and the products all seem high quality. Love that I can buy Rancho Gordo beans here. Prices are not cheap, so I usually only go here when I need something specific, but they do tend to have what I'm looking for. I haven't ordered at the deli counter before, but the selection there looks good too. Store is clean and well stocked, and the staff has always been helpful for me. Last time I went in I needed some freeze dried strawberries and couldn't find them on my own, and when I asked at the cash register, the young woman walked me to them herself. I would recommend stopping in to see if this is the kind of store you want for your grocery needs. I like it. :)

I had to call one over, and she asked me to walk to her instead of coming to the cashier. I ordered a hamburger with just cheese and a juice (which I repeated twice). The juice never came, and the burger arrived with lettuce and tomato. The attitude from the staff was not friendly, and even others in line noticed. Great food, but service is part of the experience. I hope they improve their customer service.

We arrived 30 minutes before they closed and it looked like everyone was busy cleaning up. We headed to the back to see if we could order a smoothie since we heard so many great things about them but when we got to the counter the multiple people that were behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us for a few minutes and then I caught one of the guys that was back there looking up at us and I asked if they were still open since it says they close at 7:00. He looked confused and asked another worker "hey, are we still open?" He then told me yes and kept cleaning, I stood there for another 5 minutes or so and nobody came over to take my order or even looked up at us so we just decided to grab a wrap to go. I got a veggie wrap and my daughter got a chicken avocado one. We were both very disappointed with them. They were very bland and tasted like they had been there awhile. We did look around the store and noticed they had a good selection of health food products, supplements and drink options. So we went up to the front to pay and nobody was at the register so again we waited probably close to another 5 minutes and the girl came back in from outside to ring us up. It came up to $33.95 so I gave her $34 at first but then after she punched it in I found a dime and tried to give it to her and she looked at me confused and I said "you can just give me back a dollar" she said no that's okay and gave me the 95 cents for my change. I guess you don't have to know how to do basic math when you work the cash register. Thankfully after all of this the theatre was close by and we made it to our movie on time.

This is a health grocery store, which carries a variety of supplements, snacks, beverages and other food items. When you walk inside, it has the "healthy" smell to it, if you know what I mean. At the very back of the store is where they have a walk-up counter where drinks are made to order. The menu is displayed above and there were so many options to choose from (and ingredients were listed, so you knew what was in it). Almost everything had a little healthy twist to it, so it was like ordering a guilt-free sweet treat! When they make your drink you take your receipt up to the register to pay. And while they were making our drinks it also gave us time to browse around the store. Definitely great if you need some snacks for the road! I left with the Piña Colada smoothie and it was simple, but delicious! The perfect beverage to help me cool down. It's a great store! Highly recommend!

When I say I couldn't have prayed for better help that day without knowing Oscar existed that's a understatement Plus in general this store is fantastically friendly Prepped food counter always takes time and is nice about getting family meals set up even when they're slammed I've spent time at the cheese counter asking the local expert for her recommendations on what each one would go great with. The prime deals they host are normally as good price wise as Costco but then you get organic and some other good extra labels slapped on it. 10/10 12/10 staff 15/10 Oscar and glad I get to live so close by.

a day ago New The 1…read moreStar is NOT for the store which is clean and well stocked or for my usual experiences there (I shop there 2 - 4 times a week). The "minus 4" is for the pickup. As an item I wanted was not in store, I ordered for pickup. First time I have ever done so. I was not sure where to go, what to do etc so I approched the associate who seemed to be handling that area. I saw he was busy so I politely apologized for bothering him and explained I was pretty much clueless on where to go, what to do etc. He told me to check in. I asked him where to do so and he told me to do it the same way I ordered. I ordered on Amazon so tried to open it. Well that store has horrible internet so it took a minute but the only option was curbside vs in store. I again apologized and explained. He told me he wasn't familiar with the app and turned away. I just stood there. Another woman arrived and seemed to be helping out but when I tried to ask her for help, she rather abruptly told me they were busy and other people were waiting. I would not have flinched if she, in a semi polite manner would have simply said something like, "we have quite a few orders but if you don't mind waiting a moment, we will help you." Instead I felt awkward and embarrassed. She did find my order which was handed to me in an efficient but not warm and friendly way and that was it. Both employees seemed irritated that I did not know the "lay of the land" I get the store was busy. They seemed to be short staffed. The woman said they were having technical issues which I totally get and I am sure they were both tired and frustrated. I've been there. But I left feeling ashamed for putting the employees out. Whole Foods - your Oxnard internet is awful so looking for instructions in an email or app is often fruitless. Maybe some clear signage like you have at the Amazon self serve? A simply thing like that would go a long way. I won't try online pickup again. If am item I want is unavailable I will skip it there and purchase it somewhere else. On the upside, Angel, one of your male employees, is always SUPER nice and very helpful. Ditto for the employees at the seafood station. This is the only poor experience I have had.

It's one of my favorite health, food stores in town and a grew place for lunch. My only complaint lately is the cold food and olive bar. The last few times I've been in , usually it seems to be happening after 4 o'clock, , I've seen unsupervised kids (today a group of 6-8 year olds , last time 16ish year olds ) grabbing food with their hands, licking their fingers, and going right back in for more. Basically double dipping their way through the olives, peppers, tomatoes, etc. The staff are busy, so this really comes down to parents keeping an eye on their kids or having some kind of guidelines. Love the store, just maybe inspect the olive bar and baby tomatoes before committing.

Clean store with lots of offerings but a terrible slanted parking lot. Great place to stop in for a quick bite on the go.
