We needed to rent a suit for our 16-year-old grandson. He did not want a tuxedo. We took him to David's Tailoring and Tuxedo in Temecula. The store is small, but the owner was attentive and friendly. He asked what our grandson wanted and pulled two suits out of a large selection for our grandson to try on, but the first one was perfect so the second one wasn't needed. The suit was on sale and only $50 more than renting it. The owner brought out a red vest and tie to make the outfit look great. The alterations were done well and were ready as promised. I had to wait because it was during the busy season, but that was fine because they were ready for me to pick up by the date I needed it. It's always nice when you can't tell alterations were done, like the garment was custom made. It was several sizes too big, but I gave the store my measurements and sent a photo and description to David. David let me know he could re-size it to fit me - little did we both know that it was actually SEVERAL sizes too big! He was able to hand sew the dress without ruining the beading pattern. David is an amazing person. If you are in a bind and need a suit urgently (e.g. the same day of a wedding), David will take care of you 100% and more. Basically, I needed the entire get-up minus shoes and belt: Suit jacket, pants, dress shirt, tie. I was originally planning to rent, but he offered such a great deal that I had to purchase. Not only was the deal awesome, but the suit was top-notch. He also threw in a pocket square that added a really nice final touch. Quality material with superior workmanship, attention to detail, and the best customer service I've ever had. You can tell he works hard, is extremely skilled, and very dedicated to his clients. If you've ever eaten at a fancy Brazilian steakhouse and walked away thinking "damn that was the best service I've ever had - I felt like a king!!!" -- well, David will do the same for you at his shop, minus the steaks. I walked in at 9AM, and we scheduled for me to pick up the suit at 3PM. This was the same day he had 5 other clients scheduled to come in for an urgent suit fitting and tailoring. This was a really busy day for him. As promised, the suit was promptly ready to go at 3PM. The dress shirt was a standard fit in its package, so when I tried it on, it was a little baggy since I have a slightly broader neck than the standard slim build. David fixed this immediately and tailored it to slim fit me well. I was shockingly impressed at this level of service. I walked out with a full suit and dress shirt all completely tailored to fit. He threw in the complimentary tailoring (including the dress shirt to have a slim fit) as part of the deal to purchase, but the purchase itself was already a steal. The suit was damn sexy. David knows what he's doing, offers quality service for a great price, and works hard to make his clients happy. Need to buy or rent a suit? David will offer you a rental for a decent price, but for just a bit more, he'll convince you to buy. He's like a miracle worker. I don't know how he does it! I first walked in that morning thinking I'm just going to get an urgent crappy rental - imagine my surprise... David is now the standard all tailors have to meet up to.
