I had to involve Anthem Blue Cross to reach out to their billing office to get them to resubmit the claim correctly. I also mentioned I was interested in custom orthotics but wanted them to see if insurance was going to cover it. It never happened no follow up. I'm certainly not paying for $600 custom orthotics without even an attempt from this office to reach out to my insurance company. Highly disappointed.

This was basically a third opinion. Our first podiatrist said their were bone spurs, and…read moreprescribed orthotics. Fairly conservative, but helpful. He indicated achilles surgery might be needed. Then he joined a medical group, and we sort of wandered away. The second podiatrist went straight to surgery, which we consented to. Basically, detach the achilles, file down the spur, and reattach. After all that, the problem isn't any better than it was. Enter Dr Rowe. He evaluated the foot, and then ordered a series of MRI images to be taken. In hindsight, I have to wonder why the previous guys didn't do that! His conclusion: of course the achilles surgery didn't work because the calf muscle is a bit too short. So the spur is growing again because the underlying problem wasn't fixed. The calf needs to be lengthened. He was very up-front, very friendly, and not rushed. He stayed until all our questions were answered. We've declined for now, but I was impressed that he wanted detailed pictures to see what was really going on, and then made a suggestion that made sense. I think we have a new podiatrist. I suspect that surgery will happen, but for now we're going to live with it.

Urgent visit Jammed a toe pretty bad and it was painful, purple and swollen! My Podiatrist Dr. Priyanka Begur was not at the Gilbert location today and I needed to be seen before the weekend. Office staff got me in the schedule no problem! Quality of Care 5/5 Dr. Begur ordered in office X-rays and yes that toe was broken. After she secured the toe we were on our way back to East Mesa. At the Gilbert location Dr. Begur and her MA Daniel helped me with a casting for a custom brace to keep me from rolling my injured right ankle which has been terrific! I highly recommend Dr. Begur and the Practice of Foot and Ankle Clinics of Arizona! Sorry to disappoint no ugly photos today LOL. SYOY!
