My experience was with the shop on Duncan Road, but can't imagine anyplace these guys run being any different, so wanted to just drop that review here, too, in case someone missed it over there. So, here's my experience with these folks: These guys are THE best thing since sliced bread! I took my Jeep Wrangler to another shop in town to have a sensor that was giving me a brake warning light replaced. Next thing, they told me they'd have to replace the wheel assembly. Next thing, they told me they had broken off a bolt in the axle & I needed a new axle. Next thing, they told me it was not drivable. Then the price doubled because they had priced the axle wrong. Next thing, I got cranky & pissed them off. Suddenly, it was drivable and I should come pick it up. Oh, and by the way, it would be $100 for their trouble. I pissed them off some more & they told me to come get it & never darken their door again. I said no problem there! Just by dumb luck & some fairy godmother looking out for me, I picked these guys off of Yelp. Called, told them my story. They said you bet, bring 'er in! They looked it over, sent me photos of what they found, along with calls and descriptions and answers to my questions. Turns out, no broken bolt. No need for an axle. They communicated with me about every step. Sent pictures. Were pleasant, straightforward and gave alternatives when appropriate. They gave me rides to/from home and I didn't even have to ask! They offered! Amazing!!! They pulled the fat out of the fire for me and I am soooo incredibly, over the top, off the charts THRILLED to have blindly stumbled into a nest of bright, honest, honorable people who actually seem to give a damn about their customers & the reputation of their business! Can't thank them enough! As long as they are open, they have my business & my praise for everything they have done! read more

Needed a pair of tires quick and inexpensive. They were able to have me setup the next morning and even had a ride device to drop me off at work so dropping my car off was less of an inconvenience. read more

A shop of the highest integrity. Passing through on our way back to Illinois, our Nissan Altima broke down on the interstate. We limped the car to David Toles, where they diagnosed a serious rear suspension issue which they could fix for about $1,800. Before doing the work, however, they advised that I should have it evaluated by the Nissan dealer, as some of the parts involved may be covered under a recall. In fact, Nissan paid for the whole fix. I am thoroughly impressed by Toles' honesty in letting me know that, as they could have collected $1,800 from me without my knowing the truth. Had a flat tire while out of town. Zack, the store manager was awesome. Got me right in, showed me the problem. Didn't push at all. Wasn't going to charge me for putting my spare on and took a ye time to tell me what tires he'd use if it were his car, even though I was going to get them replaced once I got home. Actually decided to drive the 45 minutes back the next day to get tires there because I like how they do business. Appreciate you guys. Keep it up. read more

If you find an honest car repair man you better hang on to them and thats what this place is. This review is for the Versailles Rd shop. I came to David Toles Auto Pro from a recommendation of a close friend. He said get your tires rotated for free when you get an oil change. Initially I called the shop on Duncan Rd. where I verified free tire rotation and discussed the fact that my truck took 6.6 quarts of oil. I was told there was no additional charge for the additional 1.6 quarts over the "standard" 5 quarts, but it was first come first severed on oil changes. Naturally when I came in the next day at 10:00 am they were full up. On the way home I decided to stop at the Versailles store. The initial conversation was just about when I could come back and made an appointment for the early next morning. After checking in, my truck was pulled into the back and the guy at the front desk, who was so nice to me the day before, went into the back and when he came back to the front his demeanor changed. He said that none of what I was told was correct and it was going to be about double what I was quoted at the Duncan Rd location. I told him that wasn't acceptable to me. He then said I would have to talk to the "service manager in the back." This guy copped an attitude with me immediately and when I explained what I was quoted he said he couldn't do that but would get to within $7 of the original quote and he "would be losing money." This guy is a real shyster. But I agreed and they went on with the work. A few minutes went by and once again I was asked to speak to the manager, this time he says that my ball joints were bad. I let him paint himself into a corner and when I told him the upper A arms on both sides had been recently replaced, ball joints and all, he said "Oh, I meant the lower ones." When I asked him "how bad are they" one of the other mechanics held up his fingers to indicate that they were moving about 1/2 inch. I had them checked a few weeks ago and was told they were fine by another mechanic. He went on to say it would be around $450 to replace the lower ball joints. I laughed and told him "No thanks." I returned to the front and asked the guy in the front what brand of oil were they going to use on my truck, Mobil 1, Valvoline, or Pennzoil? He glared at me and said some off brand, Black Knight maybe? Whatever it was I had never heard of the brand before. I figured that I would change it out early and surely they wouldn't use it if it didn't pass the API standards. As I sat in the lobby I witnessed other "less than professional" antics by the staff here. With all due respect there were 2 mechanics that were more professional than the shop manager and the guy in the front lobby. Per their recommendations though I purchased both of the lower ball joints at NAPA for $90 and had another local shop replace them and guess what? Only one was barely worn and the other was great ! Needless to say I cannot recommend the Versailles Rd location. read more

I have been a customer of David Toles for many years. He and his crew will fix your car correctly and honestly. I personally know of at least instance where they could have charged a customer for services or parts that were covered by a third party warranty, but they were completely honest about it. They also sell and service tires. Do yourself a favor and go to David Toles Auto Service for all of your auto maintenance. read more

My experience with this shop has usually been very good a little pricey but overall a good job. My mpst recent experience however was not the same in my opinion the price was way too high as I had looked up the price of the part to be replaced and found that it actually cost around half what I was to be charged. Then when the vehicle was supposed to be fixed it still did the same thing. They had to come and get the vehicle and when I met them at the shop I very politely asked for the part that had been replaced. The guy at the computer said "I don't know maybe we could find it in the dumpster or something". Then asked the next customer to step forward. He was very rude to me in the sarcastic way he said it and dismissed me and my concerns. If anyone uses their services they have probably seen this individual he is the short portly "gentlemen" that stands in front of the computer and looks like he's one order of nachos away from a stroke. I will never take a vehicle to this business again. Worst experience since S&s Tire broke my exhaust. Will be takimg my business elsewhere. read more
