Exhaust Pro contacted me regarding the washer fluid and gave a reasonably plausible explanation.

Amazing customer service…read more I called Manager James Arnold at this location in a panic because my tire had been punctured by a screw or something of the sorts. Although it was nearly 4:30pm on a Saturday, he told me to bring my car in and that they would fix it. I only waited about ten minutes, and when I went to pay them for their time, he didn't charge me a thing! As a strapped-for-cash law student, I completely appreciated the gesture and will return for all of my car servicing needs in the future. As a woman with almost no knowledge of cars, I am continually impressed with places that do not try to overcharge me or con me into unnecessary repairs. Thank you, Mr. Arnold and Ken Towery's, for providing excellent customer service in a friendly atmosphere.

Very Disappointing Experience -- Be Careful With This Shop…read more I brought my car to the Ken Towery on Nicholasville Road in Lexington to have four new tires installed. The car had an entirely new set of wheels--tires and rims--installed less than a year ago, but after my son hit a curb and damaged two tires, I decided to replace all four. I paid over $1,000 for four new tires. As soon as I drove away, I noticed that one of the tire pressure sensors was no longer registering, so I immediately returned to the store. I was told the sensor was "missing when I brought the car in." If that was actually the case, why wasn't I told about it while they were installing the tires or before I paid and drove away? Then came the upsell: I was told I should replace all four sensors for another $450. I declined and agreed to return the next day to have only the supposedly missing sensor replaced. When I returned, the story changed. Now I was told two sensors weren't registering and the other two had low batteries. Again, these wheels were purchased brand new less than a year ago. After the work was completed, I drove away and two sensors still weren't working. I cannot prove what happened to the original sensors, and I want to be clear about that. But given that these were nearly new wheels and the sensor problems appeared immediately after Ken Towery changed the tires, the experience left me seriously questioning what happened to the sensors that were on my wheels when I arrived. What bothers me just as much is the constant attempt to upsell me--from a $1,000+ tire purchase to suddenly being told I needed another $450 worth of sensors, with the explanation changing from one visit to the next. Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Ken Towery on Nicholasville Road. I left feeling like I was being upsold at every opportunity and with more problems than I had when I arrived. Stay away from this location, or at minimum document the condition of your wheels and TPMS sensors before handing them your keys.

Don Jacobs Honda - My daughter loves this color. Greg found us one prior to our arrival to Lexington.

We had a great experience using Don Jacob's Honda. We live out of state and wanted to secure a crv…read morefor our daughter who attends UK. We contacted the dealership and got in touch with Greg Hines. He was easy to communicate with and did everything he said he was going to do. The car we picked out was secured with a deposit and held for us until we got into town (about 2 weeks later). He passed us off to Mike Dobson for all of the paperwork. Mike was also great. All was smooth and no surprises. We highly recommend this dealership.

We had a very disappointing experience…read more The week before our visit, we came to the dealership and looked at several vehicles. The salesperson we were working with knew exactly which vehicle and color combination we wanted. The evening before our visit, we were told the exact vehicle we wanted was available. We informed the dealership that we would be coming the next morning and would likely be purchasing it. They even confirmed our appointment the morning of our visit and had previously sent us photos of the vehicle's interior. We then drove almost an hour to the dealership specifically to see and potentially purchase that vehicle. After arriving, we were told it had already been pre-sold. What was most frustrating is that the dealership knew we were coming, knew which vehicle we were interested in, and still did not contact us before our trip to let us know it was no longer available. A simple phone call or text could have saved us an unnecessary drive. While we were there, an employee blamed the situation on the internet salesperson and stated that this was not the first time something like this had happened. We were then encouraged to do a dealer trade for another vehicle, but were told we would need to put $2,500 down. This requirement had never been mentioned during our previous conversations. The disappointing part is that we were willing to wait for the next vehicle to arrive if the situation had been handled honestly and professionally. Instead, the lack of communication and transparency caused the dealership to lose our business. After leaving, we visited another dealership, found the exact vehicle we were looking for, and received a better deal than what was being offered here. We understand that vehicles can sell quickly. Our frustration is not that the vehicle sold, but that the dealership failed to communicate with us despite knowing we were on our way and planning to purchase it. We expected honesty, transparency, and better customer service. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our time was not valued.

All that said one single thing instantly converted me to a loyal customer: they perform a RIGOROUS inspection on all vehicles and they deliver the results via a website. The website contains a health report that highlights required areas of attention using a straightforward color system (green, yellow, red). The kicker? Each issue is backed up with clear photo evidence and all issues are filterable by severity. Let me tell ya, these gentlemen (and presumably ladies) go beyond any other shop to ensure transparency. That's why when met with undeniably higher service costs, there's total confidence your hard earned dollar is being earned equally hard by this team.

Like our lights had popped out and they attempted 4 times to fix we gave them all those chances & they still pop out . That was just one incident. There were many many overcharging the customer going on not just with me. The surrounding neighborhood was talking about southside repair i heard it from some of the local businesses also. I would highly. When it came to fixing the car again for the same issue. It was a struggle the way we were spoke to, which said it all. We felt bad but I'm thinking years later why did we feel bad. It was Southside Repair responsibility to fix it right the first time. I am understandable if it breaks again within the warranty that they fix it. I'm all about 2nd chances. Can you imagine taking your car back n forth for months just to get it fixed. Then having to wait days , week to get it back?or that the warranty was out 2 days ago when it wasn't. It was inconvenient for us. Not my choice.

Like a Buy Here Pay Here lot Quality…read more I bought a Jetta TDI from them & within one day I had an EGR code for the emission come on.... now I bought this car when they said it came straight from the factory for its modification, so they "did all necessary services so she's brand new". Day two off the lot, EGR starts to go: mileage drops & heat stops working. Tell me it's unrelated & I might get charged a diagnostic fee because of it.... I tell them this is fine, I know it's emissions related & part of the warranty, but they tell me to diagnose this it'll take 3-5 hours! That being said, under the warranty I'm entitled to a loaner & they tell me no! So I call them out on them & they magically say oh, never mind, we can get you a loaner, but this will only take an hour to diagnose it & we don't give out loaners for hour service jobs.... They lied to me out of the gate, delayed my service (by two weeks) because they didn't have time for a 5 hour diagnose, then had the nerve to ask me after why I waited so long if I was having these issues... If you buy from this dealership check every feature of your car before you drive off the lot, basic heat, power outlet, wiper etc. I wouldn't trust these people to own the issue afterwards, get you in for timely service or give you the warranties owed to you by VW unless you call them out on it!
