Love the brand! And, the folks at this location represent it well. Every piece of jewelry here is always unique, artfully crafted and stylish! Never one looking exactly the same. The customer service at this location is exceptional and meets above all expectations! I came here on Christmas Eve looking for a special gift and the experience was nothing but exceptional. I called in advance for an item I was looking for and spoke with Maurice. From the minute I spoke with him to actually visiting the store, Maurice was the best. He was welcoming and very knowledgeable. Also, what I like most was that although the store was very busy, he was patient, helpful and very attentive. He knows the DY collections and is top notch. Overall, a great experience and left very happy with my splurge. Although the gift was for someone else, I fought hard with my inner self to resist buying something for myself. That's the hard part when coming to indulge in a store like this. lol. What is there NOT to like? I came, I saw, I conquered. Mon., 8/12 purchased 2 new classic cable bracelets to add to my collection. Been a DY fan since 2017 and I LOVE all my DY purchases. Per usual, experienced excellent customer service. I received fabulous styling advice. I was not pressured into a sale. I was treated as if I was purchasing tens of thousands of dollars in merchandise when I barely spent $2k. TOP NOTCH SERVICE!!! I went towards the end of the day and somewhat knew what I wanted and the store manager, Tahir came out to assist me as all the other team members were assisting other customers. We went right to the piece that I was pondering and he also showed me everything I inquired about; he was patient, very informative, kind but not overbearing, which is a plus in my book. They have an incredible selection at this location and lots of bracelet and ring options in larger sizes which is always appreciated! An Awesome Experience! I had purchased a bracelet for my bestie for her birthday and ordered it online. When it came, I tried it on for size and it was too small! I didn't want to go thru sending it back and re-ordering because I still didn't know what size to get so I decided to drive into the store in DC Center City. Parking was in a garage that had an elevator right into the heart of the shopping. I immediately found the store and went in. We waited for the next available associate to help us but the wait was not long at all. The store was gorgeous and very nicely decorated. After about 3 minutes, I was called up for help with my purchase. I was able to try it on, make the exchange and get out within 10 minutes. The lady that helped me provided me with a gift bag and a card when I told her it was a gift. The overall experience screamed elegant and sophisticated lol. Buyer beware ! They do not stand behind their product. I have many David Yurman items purchased over the years and have been happy. The last item was a $3000 diamond bracelet which I purchased quickly at a Yurman distributor's jewelry store . The salesperson put the bracelet on my wrist for me. I paid and happily left. I later learned it was extremely difficult to unclasp. I returned to the store where I bought it and told them about the problem with the clasp -- so difficult to use and the clasp did not hold .They said I must go to David Yurman directly. I finally went today to an actual David Yurman store in Wash DC/ Cady's Alley. The manager showed me how to use the clasp --but it did not hold after several attempts/ fell off my wrist . They would not give me a store credit . They said the best they could do was send it out for repair which could take three months to fix .I also told them it was difficult to lock or unlock. ***The locking mechanism is not user friendly. I like the bracelet but it is too difficult to put on or take off and presently does not stay locked . I do not want a $3000 bracelet to fall off my wrist -as it did in the store . I did not request a refund. I simply want a store credit to purchase a reliable product .This David Yurman bracelet is not fit for the purpose intended because it cannot be used ; the clasp is hard to use , does not stay locked and Could fall off . We bought two men's wedding rings at this DY. Very friendly staff and super attentive. We probably tried on half the store before we settled on what we wanted. Our "brand ambassador," Christina, couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. She even had some items flown in from another location to help us get exactly what we wanted. We were offered bottled water or champagne each time we shopped with her (naturally, we had champagne). DY is definitely a premium brand with a matching price tag, but the beautiful and unique jewelry combined with the attentive and personalized service definitely represent the brand well. While shopping around for our wedding bands, another jeweler even referenced DY men's wedding bands with a degree of reverence for how they lead the industry in unique and beautiful men's bands that are more than just metal or a single stone. We didn't see a style like our infinity bands anywhere else on the market. Absolutely beautiful and unique. They've definitely made lifetime customers out of us. Which is good, because we may have to save money for a lifetime to afford the things we liked. read more

I drove into DC specifically to shop for a ring at David Yurman and when I arrived at 12:30 on a Saturday the doors were locked. I tried calling..NO answer. The security guard outside said the were closed for the day?? Are you kidding me?? I'm in North West DC on a Saturday?? No signs that indicate their closed?? No voicemail stating their closed?? My fiancé and I are both in need of wedding bands and often only have nights and weekends free to go to stores together. Luckily for us, I found David Yurman is one of the few jewelry stores open past 5pm and open on weekends! City Center can be an intimidating space for those not used to super high end stores, but as soon as we walked in were we both warmly greeted by two separate employees. After taking a peek around I told an employee were we looking for wedding bands. We were whisked around the corner to look at the engagement rings and wedding bands. Jannah, the wonderful lady helping us, asked a few questions about what we liked and then offered us drinks. And I mean drinks! Bourbon or champagne! We were a bit surprised (are all fancy stores this nice?) and asked for champagne. Jannah was able to tell my fiancé's ring size by just looking at his hand and went to work gathering rings for us to try on while we got settled in our chairs at a table next to the rings. Our champagne arrived along with custom branded bottles of water. I could get used to this life. We took turns trying on the different rings and asking questions. I asked if I could take pictures since I'm still a bit early in the shopping process and not entirely sure what I want and was told of course I could. Jannah also offered to email me details of the rings, which is super helpful! The email has pictures, prices, and even the size recommended to order in. We didn't make a purchase, but I can't speak highly enough of the experience and great customer service! The store was filled with unique and beautiful pieces, so even if we don't buy our wedding bands here I'd love to come back and get something else special. read more

I was at your city center story earlier today being helped by Rafael N. I came to do a exchange of a birthday gift my husband purchased and pick up a purchase. Prior to this I put a bracelet on hold, but came in last Sunday and actually purchased the bracelet but they had to order it because it wasn't the correct size, Rafael pulled the bracelet that was reserved instead of the purchased bracelet and when i told him no I already purchased it he yelled at me and told me no I didn't. I told him he should go and in the back and check and he then returned with the bracelet I purchased. We then start to do the exchange of the earring for the larger size , he states my husband must be there with his card and ID for me to do the exchange and pay the difference with my card. It was an online order so the purchase was in the system and I had the receipt and was going to pay the difference with another form of payment so that made no sense that my husband had to be there and I explained that to him. Rafael was very rude and irate for no reason and I feel like the only possible reason could be the color of my skin. I always come to this David Yurman because it is closes to my house and I should never have to feel this way when coming to conduct business as a consumer. read more

Beautiful store and extremely patient staff! I received a bracelet for Christmas that was beautiful but wasn't the 'one'. I returned it and came back the next day when I had more time to spend and more time on my parking meter. Vini was so patient with me. I thought I wanted a skinny bracelet, then maybe a ring and then OH NO maybe a bigger bracelet. He helped me as much as anyone could help a confused customer, slipping on one beauty after another. Then the 'one' was found. It's a simple basic classic cable that is a stunner, face it everything in there is stunning but this was my dream piece. I'm so grateful he took the time with me, my husband on the car ride home said I haven't seen you this happy in a long time. It's because I exhausted the salesman but got EXACTLY what I wanted even though I didn't know it walking in. City Center is a great place to go shopping and there are several nice restaurants. David Yurman sold me a ring for my engagement, and told me that of I had any problems, I could return the ring for a different size or full refund. We never wore the ring because it was the wrong size, and when we came back, we were told there was nothing they could do for us because it was damaged and couldn't be resold. Furthermore, because it was not an engagement ring (even though I specifically, explicitly bought it for an engagement), they don't honor the cleaning and maintenance policies they offer other "engagement" rings. Perhaps this exception only applies to products they sell to same sex couples. All in, they made what should have been a happy experience miserable, and they turned us off from buying the ring for the other partner here, as well as from recommending it to others. If you're looking for a ring for your partner, I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you want to be treated fairly. read more

Wow! What an experience I had at the DY boutique in July 2018. I made an appointment to have my jewelry cleaned. Our representative was Christina, she said you have some unique pieces. I told her, we have never purchased (my husband) from a boutique, we purchased only from jewelry stores. Well little did I know, he surprised me with another bracelet and a charm. Convenient location, comfortable atmosphere, and EXCELLENT customer service. Sometimes it's hard to shake preconceptions when it comes to "ritzy" jewelry stores. I have always experienced pushy, impatient representatives that stop helping once they find out you aren't going to buy their equivalent of the Hope Diamond. This David Yurman location broke the streak. I visited just a few days ago with my Girlfriend and right as we walked in we were greeted with genuine warm welcomes and offered some bottled water. Vini helped us out and answered all our questions, took us around to all the collections we wanted to see, and was overall just really helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. He made perfect recommendations and never pushed any product on us that we did not want. I came here to exchange a birthday gift and the guy helping me was very helpful. The store didn't have any small bracelets in stock but he was helpful in letting me see a large variety of bracelets and searched their portal for all bracelets available in my size. We ended up ordering my bracelet from a California location. While he went to the back to take care of the order, I walked around the store and the girls behind other showcases were helpful and friendly and let me see other pieces I would consider for another occasion. The rudest customer service experience from a girl name Christina, very disappointed in this DY location. We have been to many locations within the west and east coasts, all were exceptional and friendly and I've usually left with a new piece of jewelry. This is the first time I've been told DY does not carry a petite collection, given attitude by Christina who less than willingly wanted to show us the engagement rings. Why, because I asked for petite versions of the ring which she continually argued with me, the paying customer, that they don't carry. I bought a gift for a friend, a cross. The chain was too short and I wanted to exchange for an 18 inch chain. I bought the item on July 6. I went into the store to exchange. They first said I couldn't as the pendant is attached to the necklace. When I showed them it is not and I asked for the longer chain. They then said ok. Let's fill out paperwork it will take 6-8 weeks and for an additional 170 to swap out a chain for two more inches. I asked if there was a guarantee that this could be done. They had no idea. I'm now heated and frustrated about the lack of knowledge about the stores products and horrible customer service. Then I want to return. Nope. Outside of 14 days she says with a huge smirk on her face. Again wrong. There is also still a 30 day grace period. This store is horribly managed by consultants who treat their customers as if they are doing them a favor. I have shopped in many high-end stores and I will never shop here again.
