10/10! The vibe is amazing - it feels like a little cafe you'd come across in Italy. The owner, Davide, comes around to say hi and is the sweetest man. There was also a singer who was awesome! Just a mic and his voice and we absolutely loved it! Food was delicious! I had the Fagottini Al Tartufo, which is a stuffed pouch pasta with cheese, mushrooms, truffles... it was so good! Everyone else's meals were tasty as well. We also had pizza, which the large size is very large. It was delish - not my usual style of Pizza but great anyway lol! Ok finally a real fantastic Italian restaurant on Marco, fantastic food, the bolognese was teaming with veggies and meat, the rich red sauce was delightful. The chicken parm was very tasty, sweeter sauce and cooked to perfection, bread was hot and the olive spread was a perfect touch. Great place to eat service was very spot on and attended to our needs. The restaurant is in an interesting spot but the seating felt warm and comfortable. Excellent choice for Italian on Marco. read more

We wanted to sit inside, and were told there were no tables immediately available, but that one would be opening up shortly. The host even pointed out the specific table and suggested we sit at the bar while we waited. My husband dislikes sitting at the bar, so we would not have agreed to that arrangement if we knew we would be there for the entire meal. There was also outdoor seating available right away, which we would have preferred over the bar had we been given accurate information. When the table became available, another couple was seated there instead. I overheard an interaction between employees implying they intentionally chose not to move us because we were already sitting at the bar. In other words, the table we were told was ours was knowingly given away. What made the situation worse was the lack of communication afterward. No one updated us or acknowledged what had happened until I finally asked about the table. At first, I was told the previous guests were taking longer than expected, which was not true. After I questioned that explanation, staff admitted the table had likely been reassigned by management. My biggest issues were the lack of communication, being misled about the situation and the complete lack of apology or acknowledgment from the manager, who was visibly checking on other tables while avoiding ours. Mistakes happen, but honesty and communication go a long way. Neither was handled well here. Otherwise, the food was delicious, but unfortunately it was hard to enjoy with our poor experience. read more

We tried to stop in last week - NOPE it was Packed - Recommend making a reservation! We ordered the Supreme Pizza minus Onions and Green Peppers. It was one of the BEST Pizzas I have ever had! We ordered carry out from here and would not order again. I'm not sure how this place even has 4stars. Nothing about our meal was "homemade" the pasta was from a box, asked for no mushrooms on our pizza and received mushrooms on it, the bread was hard as a rock. When I called the owner was extremely rude and did not want to give our money back to us. Calling me a liar and that I need to bring the pizza in myself to show him the mushrooms. Comical. Not sure why I would waste my time getting yelled at if there were in fact no mushrooms on it, however there were. Threw the whole pizza way. It wasn't homemade to begin with either. He said he was going to refund us, but my cc has never been credited back. Would NOT go here. Rude and terrible food. read more

It started with a simple take-out pizza order. The very welcoming Italian gentleman who was running the restaurant (who we unofficially call Mr. Davide???) made everyone feel welcome. We have dined at this restaurant for years whenever we visited/rented Marco Island. We made a reservation for our party but when we arrived they had no record - we did show our phone history showing the call was made with the time, date and length of call - to no avail we could not have our reservation honored - will suggest anyone call and confirm their reservation at least twice before arriving - seems there is only reservation record done by hand. This has clearly put a damper on any future support. read more

Been coming to Marco Island for years - we live here six months a year. Davide used to be a good place to eat. It has really slid downhill that last few years, ESPECIALLY for takeout food. Cold food, parts of which were tasteless, poorly put together and a miniscule salad. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED for the value received. When my wife called to complain, the response was that we don't need to come to their restaurant anymore. Good idea, we won't - and if you are reading this, you shouldn't either. With all the wonderful options for food on and off the island there is no need to throw you money away here. If you want Italian, take your money to Caio Bella, DiVinci's or any of the area's good Italian eateries. read more

Had dinner there last night. The food was just ok. What bothered me was the waiter who was extremely friendly tried to upcharge us at every opportunity. We ordered a pizza and a veal dish to share. He recommended that we get the large pizza and also have the fresh pasta with the veal. He recommended two salads but we changed it to one when we realized one came with the meal. They split the veal dish in two which we did not ask them to do. When we got the bill it included charges for the fresh pasta ( which did not taste fresh), a split plate fee and a salad that we should never have been charged for. We will never go back. read more

So many restaurants on Marco Island are only open for dinner, which makes getting into them, especially during high season, a bit of a competitive sport. Make sure you have reservations for Davide as they only serve between 4:30pm - 9pm. And their seating is limited to about 8 inside tables and 8 outside tables, making this a nice intimate Italian restaurant. Service is excellent, but know that this is a relaxed meal...you will not be rushed an the food will not be rushed, so plan on enjoying your night out and expect dinner to take 1.5 - 2 hours. The food is good...we started with the Stuffed Mushrooms which were fine, but the Short Rib Ravioli special of the day, as recommended by our server, was outstanding. Serving sizes are just right...not too big but not too small, either. The only downside is the live music, which is just too loud. The singer is located outside and has a sound system set up...and for those dining outside, you cannot even hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation at normal levels. Even inside, where we were seated, the music coming through the front door was just too loud. Bring it down 3-5 notches and it will be perfect. read more

Came in without a reservation with my family, they made room for us and never once rushed us. They have great indoor and outdoor seating. Very inviting and comfortable atmosphere. This is by far the worst meal we've had in a looong time (yes, worse than ZaZa). I would never go back. We ordered the Gnocci Quatrofromaggi, Chicken Parm and the Lasagna Bolognese. They were all really bad. The chicken parm was soggy and flavorless and sopping wet. See picture. My plate was full of water. The marinara on the chicken and the lasagna was thin (watery) and flavorless and the lasagna had a very odd taste. The Gnocci was also mostly flavorless. The chicken had the texture of being heated in the microwave (might not have been, but that's what it tasted like). Oh, and the salad - hahaha. Lasagna was yummy. Free salad comes with an expensive main course: average 22-45$ The bread is ok--kind of spicy. The homemade pasta is Great but expect to pay $30-$45 for that. Fun singers entertain happily. The chocolate cake is a bunt cake topped with chocolate (not a lava cake), lemon cake is more yummy. One time the meatballs were large and not spicy and the next time they were small and too spicy. Why do they have 1960s fringes hanging between bathroom and restaurant? My family has been coming to Davide ever since we bought our house on Marco Island years ago and the food is always excellent. The owner and servers are incredibly kind and attentive. We are big fans of the unlimited warm bread and olive tapenade. Most meals come with a small salad and the portion sizes are perfect. The only downside to this restaurant is the live music which is so loud you can't even talk to the person next to you. It wouldn't be bad if the singers took a break, but since there is two of them, they take turns singing the entire night. I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to talk to anyone you are eating with. I hope this place makes a change in their entertainment - my family was looking forward to coming a few times on vacation but hesitated due to the loud singing. read more

The food was very good here, however charging $54 for a pasta dish is a little ridiculous.
