Chicken masala with spaghetti and mushrooms
    Suzette C.

Everything we ordered was awesome. We had 2 pizzas. One combo with pepperoni, sausage, onions and peppers. The other one was margarita pizza with a few additions of pineapple and ham. My mom had the chicken masala with lots of mushrooms a pasta side. That entree came with a house salad and garlic knot. Hubby and I ordered an antipasto which came with 2 garlic knots and we unknowingly order 6 garlic knots which were awesome and one of the things that disappeared quickly. If going here you can definitely share almost all the food because they are large portions. Oh my son has the manhattan clam chowder in a cup and that would have been a bowl in most places. Dessert was two regular cannolis. Oh my GOD, orgasmic ! I love cannolis!!

I hate to write this review...but I don't even need to explain, a picture is worth a thousand words.... buuuut if I had to give a word, it would be soggy!! If you try to say "it's because it's take out not done in" I'd like to add we got there early for pick up AND only drove 2 minutes down the road to eat it. Still the result. :(

Great choice for pizza & lots of Italian food options. Ordered 3 pizzas & salads to go & all were delicious. Very crowded so sure they have great options. It was worth waiting for freshly prepared pizzas.

Cute place very full as went early New Year's Eve. They accommodated us with our pup and we sat outside. They brought him water and we super sweet. We order knots, 2 thin crust pizzas and lasagna. All tasty the pizza I will ask for well done next time but that's just a personal preference. The lasagna has lots of meat but could have used more sauce with it. The drinks were tasty and we took a bunch of food home for guests and they all enjoyed. Def a spot to try again

    Gluten free pizza

We had a great experience there. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. I was new to being on a gluten-free diet and had trepidation about eating there, but was put at ease by our waiter who let us know they had gluten-free pizza crust. He did say that it was a personal pizza and encouraged my husband to order his own mail because it was a personalized pizza. But I will say that personalized pizza could've fed three people. He described it as an 8 inch pizza and it was a large oval pizza that took up an entire plate and we came home with lots of leftovers.. that being said, the crust was amazing for a gluten-free free pizza. Such a pleasant surprise.. The atmosphere was fun and bustling Our captain from our boat excursion who was originally from New Jersey recommended it as the most authentic pizza place on Marco Island. So glad we listened to him.

Been to Joeys more than I can count and almost always have a great experience, we order takes out most of the time. This restaurant is a modern styles inside with open air format and a center full of service bar. The food was great, cooked perfectly, the Stromboli was cooked perfectly, crunch and clover with plenty of cheese. I recommend trying what I order for. My build your own Stromboli, having pineapple, green pepper, sausage, and tomatoes. Offer the combo of greens and meats and makes sure you got tomatoes wit

I loved Joey's, it is a fun atmosphere to go dine in, but also a great option to carry out! It is a great restaurant with great food and excellent customer service! Didn't disappoint! Laid back and relaxed atmosphere

Gnocci a la vodka with chicken

It was a cool summer night and our large group of 13 was promptly seated out side under the bistro lights hanging on Joey's large terrace. The group was happy we were seated quickly and Mother Nature was gifting us with a slight breeze. Our waitress seemed pretty busy and thus the attention was lacking somewhat. Especially when other large groups were seated at on the terrace as well and they had their drinks, apps, entrees, and their bills way before us. It was a mini vacay for us and we're not the type to complain but our waitress service was slow. The food was good over all, I had the Gnocci with Chicken and it was delish. Many pizzas were ordered at our table, even the huge Sicilian, it was looks impressive, but it mostly just bread, not worth it unless you really want to eat a ton of bread. Their other pizzas looked amazing. Don't leave without getting a cannoli, you'll thank me later. Sorting out the check was also disappointing. We had ordered 2 of a certain app and only received one. No biggie as we had plenty of other apps. We asked the server that brought us our apps and they didn't do anything about it. They we asked our waitress if she had put 2 or 1 and she replied "one". Then when we finally got the bill, she had definitely put in 2 as we were charged for two. We had to find her in the restaurant to get her to fix the bill and she was not very cordial about it. Will we be back, yes. With another server please We dine at Joey's every time we're in Marco Island and enjoy it. Just wish this visit was as good as our previous visits.

    White Pizza with Spinach
    Thanh-Van L.

First time at Joey's (December 2024) and we ordered a large combo and large white pizza with spinach for pick up. Total was about $60 which blew us away. The most we've ever paid for a pizza so we're expecting top tier pie. It smelled delicious. We get home (6 minute drive) and after trying the pizza, we realize instead of a combo we were given a sausage pizza with no sauce. (We did get the correct white pizza). Called to advise it was the wrong order and they offered to refund or come back to get the right pizza. (We opted for a refund) The pizza itself was so thin it was like they ran out of dough and were trying to make more pizzas than they could handle. The cheese was dry (on the sausage pizza). The crust was so hard/crispy, it was like you reheat old pizza 3 times and it's too hard to chew. (I LOVE a crispy pizza but not hard.) I typically prefer personal pan pizza or like a standard crust you'd get from papa John's. Nobody in my party liked thin crust so maybe that's why we didn't love it?

We were excited to try Joey's as many rave about the pizza and say it is the best on Marco Island. Perhaps I have a high bar for pizza, and while it was good, I can't say it was great. We tried the "NY Style", and I will say the sauce and cheese were good, but unfortunately the crust was somewhat flavorless and too airy to be considered a NY style pizza. For me, all three elements need to come together for a truly great pizza. Apart from the pizza, our server was efficient and friendly and food came quickly. We sat outside on a nice patio as the inside was jammed. No reservations here and it is a popular spot. We also tried their ricotta and honey appetizer, which was nice. Perhaps could have been a tad bigger, for the price. Overall, an enjoyable dinner but I've had better pizza on Marco Island. We might try again to see how they do with their pasta and other dishes.

    Baked "ziti" (with GF noodles)
    Shayna T.

A poppin' place with some pretty good food. Members of my group really enjoyed wine and pizza and I enjoyed a pumpkin spice espresso martini and the baked ziti with gluten free noodles. Quick service and tasty. One thing to mention..they do not do substitutions for anything really except they will sub gluten free noodles...so beware if you are picky!

Our first visit we had the coconut shrimp (9/10), GF pasta bolognese (9/10), and a GF pizza (8/10). Our second visit we ordered the crab Rangoon (7/10), shrimp Alfredo (10/10), and another GF pizza which was delicious too. We recommend coming here to eat if you are like us and love to eat great food at a reasonable price. The place was very accommodating to our baby as well- with clean high chairs etc. The drinks were great and they have a great selection of gluten free food which is nice. Ricardo was our server the first night- he was great- always approached our table with a huge smile and had a great energy. The second night we had Jairo and he was wonderful. We arrived around pm so the restaurant was not busy. Hubby and I had our choice of seating. They have a full bar, separate pizza oven from the other kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating. The vibe is a little weird though. It's an Italian restaurant who plays sort of like cruise ship dinner music combined with sports on several tv's. There were several people working but one guy was the host, the bar tender, waiter and runner. He was pretty efficient but I'm not gonna lie, I watched him wipe his face several times without washing his hands. That sort of did it for me. Jinny's sandwich came out way before mine which wasn't a big deal as I know it typically takes awhile for a heavy pizza to bake. Not sure when I will learn, do not order deep dish pizza from a place that doesn't specialize in it. Just because you line a pan with crust does not mean it's deep dish. The sauce was ok but I would not order it again. It really was just a regular pizza with tall sides. Very underwhelming.

Being a gluten free individual, I asked for some options I could eat and was pleased to learn that they had gluten free pasta and could make other items gluten free. They even brought me gluten free bread. It was sandwich bread I am pretty sure, but you learn to take what you can get when you are gluten free. The seafood selection on the menu felt limited. I expected more variety for a coastal restaurant. Appetizers were decent but did not stand out. The salmon carpaccio looked nice and tasted as expected, but the flavor was fairly simple. The frutti de mar had good flavor and the seafood was cooked properly. The sauce worked well and did not overpower the dish. The portion was disappointing for the price. The dish cost $52 dollars and only included three scallops and three shrimp. The rest of the seafood was mostly clams and mussels. I substituted angel hair instead of linguine which helped keep the dish lighter. The chicken Madeira looked great but the flavor was mild. With a stronger sauce or seasoning it could easily be an excellent dish. The kids meals were a win. The chicken tenders and pasta kept them happy and the portions were solid. Overall experience was good mainly because of the service and presentation. Some dishes need stronger flavor and the seafood portions could match the price better. Still a pleasant dinner spot on Marco Island.
