Massive parking lot, as there are many other medical offices right near the hospital, informative web site, and not long wait times. The opticians were also helpful and they actually had a pair of super cute glasses that I got for a decent price with my insurance. As an eye doctor's office, it's hard to get too excited, but all aspects of my experiences here have been great. There's not much else one can ask for!

Selling glasses is not their main focus (pun intended) which is the way it should be. I have recommended her to my wife and daughter.

In a patronizing tone she said that I "must not have gotten her message about this earlier". I told her I had gotten the message and that my insurance verified that it was active and that it was accepted at that location. She argued with me that it wasn't working and said there is nothing she can do. She offered no solutions. I asked if I needed to re-call the insurance and have her hear them verify and she said no, and there was nothing she could do... yet instructed me to call my insurance (again) ‍ It was unproductive, unhelpful, and I wouldn't go here. She made no effort to provide any solutions-- and they never even sent me the address to begin with. More annoying still, I had waited 5-6 weeks to get this appointment, and now I have to start my search over and wait longer!

For anyone thinking of corrective eye surgery.. elective or due to an issue. Don't look (tee hee) anywhere else. I had the most amazing experience and outcome. Dr. Jonathan Davidorf really has the gift of making you feel as though you are the most important person and he actually really cares which is evident with each appointment, because he really does. His team are knowledgeable, very helpful, personal and professional. I was losing my independence afraid to drive etc. He gave my independence back to me 100%. The technology has come far beyond my wildest dreams. What once was "just the way it is going to be" now you have endless possibilities to have clear vision once again. I was so happy to find out that he could actually correct vision in both eyes seeing near and far in each. A separate recipe if you will.. One eye is not dependent on the other to see well. They each see perfectly. No more do you have to have one eye for distance and the other for close up.. I was truly blown away and the miracle and I mean miracle of it all. I had chosen "intraocular lenses" and the result for me was instantaneous.. Dr JD said to me just after the surgery "Ok your all done" I sat up opened my eyes and the room was crystal clear and in focus" I gasped and said out loud.. "I love you".. When you are given the miracle of your sight back I was overcome with grateful appreciation and just blurted out my gratefulness in the best way I know. There was NO and I mean NO pain and no discomfort. They test and test again to make sure all their measurements are correct. The surgery center.. simply the best. They are again professional, knowledgeable, experienced and really care about your comfort and any anxiety you may be going through. I did not want to wear glasses.. I am a multi medium artist, designer, seamstress, play on the computer and a reader .. and having this option has given me back my vision so I am not dependent on having to wear glasses.. in any task I choose.. Dr. Jonathan Davidorf in my opinion is "changing the view of the world one eye at a time".. For once you decide to do this your world is more beautiful than you can remember... Debido a esto hice una consulta con el Davidorf Eye Group y es bastante relajante encontrarse con un grupo que te recive muy cordialmente y te trata de una manera muy amigable, desde el principio me han hecho sentir bien venida. Iva con la intencion de comprarme lentes de contacto pero despues de consultar al Dr. Davidorf padre me educo en la ventaja de el LAZIK procedimiento y la informacion fue bastante amplia para decidirme en ese mismo instante a someterme al procedimiento y cambiar mi vida. El Dr. Davidorf hijo, fue la persona encrgada de relizar el procedimiento y desde el momento de mi preparacion jamas me senti insegura si no al contrario con un sentimiento de alta emocion. El procedimiento tomo al rededor de 10 a 15 minutos por cada ojo y durante el procedimiento el Dr. Davidorf hijo iva encaminandome por cada paso del procedimiento explicandome con claridad lo que el estaba haciendo. I would give them "5" stars, if only the staff would call or email to remind the patient about what needs to be done! Pros: Top notch high-tech equipment Pros: Assistants were very good Pros: Seems to hire only professional knowledgable staff Pros: Nurse was great at Eye Surgical Center. Warm, caring, knows how to make it pleasant before the surgery. Pros: Dr. J Davidorf called back that night of surgery to see how I was doing Pros: Dr. J Davidorf and surgical staff do a great job in the surgery room Pros: Plenty of FREE parking! Pros: Affected eye (left one) is numb through surgery, (eye drops, no shots) and u never feel a thing. Amazing...you just lye there, and think about anything, and before you know it, the surgery's over. 10-15min. tops and then ur in the recovery room. You never feel anything, and the strange part is you never remember them operating on you, and your awake through the whole ordeal !!! ...go figure The eye (left one) was sensitive to light after surgery for a couple hrs, and after that, the vision became crystal clear and sharp, "no pain or itchyness" ...fabulous, probably easier then going to the dentist for some things! Cons: Front desk needs to acknowledge patients coming & going (Hello how are you, etc) (Good-bye have a nice day, Howd it go, etc) Cons: Dr.J Davidorf is quick, aggressive, assertive, and not to personal. Some folks (I've been reading reviews on-line), want the bed-side manners, I guess. Cons: Staff didn't call or email on follow through with pre-op. instructions. Some of us are older, with work & family, and need to be reminded. They need to keep up on their patients, to make sure their getting/taking their rx on time, and filling out clinical papers, and going to the surgical center 24hrs in advance. Overall...It was a good experience. The tests were thorough, paper work precise on details of pre-op. and the staff is great. I would fix the front desk, with someone sunny & cheery. Have one of the staff follow-up on phone calls/emails, to make sure your process is going good and on-time, and have thee Dr. Jonathan Davidorf be more warm, humble, personable, and with 'bedside manners' lol ;-) read more

I have had issues with both my eyes ever since I can remember. Having lived in Europe for many years, I have gone to many specialists both in Europe and the States. I found Dr J through word of mouth. By that time I was quite disappointed having lost complete trust in healthcare, so I was reluctant to go see him. I'm so grateful that I found this physician. Saying that the doctor has compassion or expertise should be a given fact, because that's what they're trained for. However, Dr J has something more to offer, human touch, which is rare in a physician now days. His ability to connect, understand and take his time was a priceless experience that I haven't had in a long time. Eyesight is the most precious sense; however, finding the right physician and the ability to completely trust them with that sense is just as precious. Since I found him through word of mouth, I shall continue this good karma and enlighten others, so they can find him too and experience what I have experienced. read more

I have never written a review on yelp before, but my experience at Davidorf Eye Group was so amazing that I felt compelled to do so. Let me start off by saying the staff is phenomenal. The wait time was a bit daunting but thanks to Jennifer up front, she convinced us to hang in there and boy was she right. She offered us and several other patients water while we waited. She made the entire waiting room laugh so that time was no longer an issue. She is an extreme asset to your practice. We were taken back by Lindsay and she was gentle and kind as well. My husband needed to have a minor procedure done and Dr. Gellerman handled it with grace and professionalism. My husband too is a Dr., and we spoke about how we need to have a staff like this. It's always a very pleasant experience for me coming to the eye group. The office itself is very clean and the staff is wonderful. The ladies on the phones when you call in for appointments are very kind and knowledgeable. It does take some time to get in for an appointment and they were gracious enough as to take my information down and call me for a cancellation to squeeze me in last minute and for that I am very thankful as I had an issue concerning an eye infection before leaving on an important trip. The doctors are great! Dr. Gellerman truly cares for his patients and their well being as well as the other doctors on this office, I've seen a few. I really appreciate all of the care and attention to detail! I will continue to come here and refer everyone I know with any vision needs! read more

I went to the Davidorf Eye group after reading about Dr. Jonathan Davidorf being one of the pioneers of LASIK surgery and the fact hat he used the most advanced laser techniques (no scalpels). I always hated reading glasses and it was getting to the point where i needed them all the time. I found Dr. Davidorf to not only be knowledgeable, but to be very pleasant. He clearly explained my situation (farsightedness), what the procedure would do, how much improvement I could expect, and possible complications. My procedure went without a hitch.That was 4 years ago and I've been glasses free ever since. I couldn't be happier with the results. I've since referred my brother, who also had a successful surgery, and highly recommend Dr. Davidorf to anyone else looking into LASIK eye surgery. read more

This review is to thank "Marlene," Dr. Davidorf's assistant. Marlene handled the first part of my eye exam. I had a little bit of anxiety about my visit and as soon as Marlene began talking to me, she put me at ease. I found Marlene to be so affable, sweet, very knowledgeable, and ever patient with my many questions. She was so gentle when applying eye drops and was very careful when measuring the pressure in my eyes, as well as being very attentive to my comfort. I believe it is a gift to have compassion but being able to show it is a blessing for the receiver. Marlene possesses so many wonderful qualities. My experience with Dr. Davidorf was stellar. I had a bit of a situation, I was stung in the eye by a bee, which in and by itself was terribly painful. Five days past the initial sting, when I thought all was going fine, I felt like I stepped thru the gates of hell. To make a long story short , as they say, the stinger was hanging out in my upper lid and decided to poke its way out. Only it chose to exit into the path of my cornea. so each and every minute movement was a painful gouging to my cornea. With his high power microscope he spotted that stinger, and with precise excision removed it in tact. I am forever grateful to Dr. Davidorf and his staff for this wonderful outcome. My wife, daughter and I have been patients of Dr. Jonathon Davidorf for a number of years. We usually go for annual checkups, but have also have had Lasik and cataract surgery. We have been pleased with the results and will continue to go to him. He is friendly, courteous and professional. Staff is also always friendly and professional. As some of the other reviews mention, there is usually a wait, but we have found it to be about 15 minutes. There is also the $45 charge to have your eyes measured for a prescription. They used to ask if you wanted this, but now seem to do it as part of the exam. If you don't want this, you should mention it at the beginning of the appointment. read more

Davidorf Eye Group has been my dr's office for 10+ years. The staff is great there and the dr's are amazing. I was diagnosed with Intercranial Hypertension and if it wasnt for the dr's here i wouldve never known. I was just going in for a routine eye exam. Im glad i listened to their advice to go to Kaiser and get the Ophthalmologist there check me as well. That same day i went to Kaiser i was rushed to the ER and had a spinal tap. I just had cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr Davidorf. It was the most painless and seamless procedure. The surgery only took 20 minutes and I got the best lenses which allows me to see at all distances. I can finally see my watch after all this time of wearing readers! Dr Davidorf was professional and thourough. My follow up with Dr Vartanian was exceptional. She answered all my questions and was extremely caring. I have had many surgeries on my eyes . In 1997 I had RK and AK surgery to correct my astigmatism and ended up with mono vision., but didn't need glasses to see.Then about 4 years ago I went to see Dr. Davidorf because my vision was getting worse. He found the beginnings of cataracts in both eyes. I had him perform surgery on both eyes to correct my astigmatism with toric lenses. I had 20/20 vision for the first time in many, many years. My case was very complicated and he went out of his way to determine the best surgery for me. The staff in the office is very professional and friendly. I am 52, I have had astigmatism in both eyes all my life. This year I was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. I had two surgeries this week on both eyes to correct them and fix the astigmatism in each eye. This called for replacement of both lenses. Dr. Jonathan Davidorf fixed both my eyes. I had 20/25 in my left eye the following day, and 20/20 in my right eye; both eyes will improve over time. I want to thank Dr. Davidorf for the wonderful gift of sight that I now have. My first review I saw was filtered. Why Yelp people? He's a fantastic doctor with great surgical acumen and a true expert in his field. I am 66 and I came to Dr. Jonathan Davidorf in May 2013 with a somewhat unique eye issue. I had a Lasik eye procedure 15 years ago. I had cataract surgery on my right (reading) eye by another doctor in January 2013. The procedure did not go as planned and I was unable to read without reading glasses. Dr. Davidorf performed cataract surgery in August and I now am able to read clearly, even the smallest print, with my right eye. I am very pleased with the result achieved by Dr. Davidorf and will have a cataract procedure done on my left (distance) eye in the not too distant future. read more

The best doctor ever! He saved my vision. I was hit in the eye during a baseball game. I had blood in my eye near the pupil, actual blood was filling up inside my eye. Soooo scary! I was light sensitive, blurred vision, flashing lights, you name it! It was awful. I thought I was going to go blind. I called Dr Davidorf's office, they got me in right away. I was seen immediately. From the moment I walked in the place was spotless and the staff are warm and friendly. But that was just the beginning. Meeting Dr. Davidorf was more impressive especially when he asked how everyone was treating me so far. I just had cataract Surgery on both of my eyes. My Doctor is Jonathan Davidorf. I was very scared beforehand because the thought of anyone cutting my eye freaked me out. Then I met Dr. Davidorf. I was having trouble with my eyes not seeing clearly, headaches, and having allergies which caused red, watery, and itchy eyes. I saw Dr. Gellerman and he was great. He took his time to talk to me, checked my eyes and ran all the tests for a eye physical as well and I could tell he really cared.
