I purchased my wedding dress last February and finally got a chance to get it altered (due to covid we moved our date). From my initial appointment last year, to my alterations a few weeks ago, they have been nothing but professional, nice and attentive with everything I have asked or needed. I live in Vegas, but having our wedding in Glendale, so David's Bridal Burbank was just the best choice for me. They have accommodated my change in appointments due to living so far and are always there to help me when I give them a call. From alterations, to management and to the staff on the floor, I want to say Thank you. I went in to get a wedding gown at the store and I got a Vera Wang gown which needed some fixing and alteration . There was a pleat on the bust area that needed to be sewn in place. An inside belt needed to be seen also back in place. There were 2 holes on the bottom skirt in the tule that they said would cover with lace to hide them. And it needed to be hemmed. I was told if I will get it hemmed , they would offer washing and cleaning of the gown with it or else I pay $45 for the cleaning. As I am traveling out of the country, they said there is rush fee of $40 but when it was time to pay, they said it will be $60 instead. This was on Thursday 14th and I was supposed to pick it up Next day and instead I rescheduled for today (the 16th). I went to pick up the gown and to my horror I found nothing of the alteration was done except being hemmed! The gown was dirty with extra lipstick stains on it that wasn't there before. The pleat wasn't sewn well in place. They put a tiny piece of lace that looked like a bandaid to cover the 2 holes and looked horrible and it wasn't even covering them! It was beside them. When I tried on the gown and was so frustrated and I told the alteration manager about the holes and everything else, she was rude enough that she didn't even bother to reply and told me you are with someone else now from the alteration and she didn't even look to me. That's besides it is such a shame that they don't offer a proper cover for the gown , just a plastic bag and you have to pay extra for the fabric cover!!!! Now I have to postpone my flight to wait for tomorrow to pick it up again, and hopefully they have it done right. I paid $1200 for the dress and I get this horrible experience. I would never recommend this place for anyone and would tell my bad experience with it. It's shame that a supposedly well reputed place does that. read more

After having found the dress of my dreams for my upcoming wedding and writing a review on my experience, I had a scary situation a couple months later with the shipping of my dress and had to write about it so that other brides can learn from this. The dress, is fine by the way. David's Bridal contacted me both times. Whether it was a good review or a bad one. Not just one or the other. 99% of the time I never hear from the company I review no matter if the review is good or bad. In all honesty, it was nice to be able to have a voice and people who care to hear about the situation and this is why I'm writing this updated review. After having the greatest experience and then having a shipping scare (read my previous reviews) David's Bridal did what they can to see what they can do better and what they can do to improve for the future and for others. That really says a lot about the company and those that work there. I have to say thank you to them for all they have done. I am a nervous bride like most and when it comes to your dress you can put your trust in this place. I had Oliver be my consultant yesterday at the Burbank Location. He was just great! He was patient, helpful, and listened...listened to what my vision and needs were. He just let me take my time and let me try everything as much as I wanted which was multiple times and photos in all angels. I did find the dress, shoes, veil, hair accessory he even found a coupon to save on my purchase! I did have another appt somewhere else and the consultant was nice but...she kept trying to close me and it turned me off since I am in sales. She kept saying, "so what will it take to make your decision? If I bring in the right etc.. then would you take the dress today?" It was so off putting that I ran out of there-and they did have the dress I purchased with Oliver. I brought my daughter here to buy a prom dress today. She is not the most girly girl, and has a hard time shopping for clothes in general. We ran all over two malls and multiple other bridal/dress shops today, and it only stressed her out as she couldn't find nice fits or a good selection of dress colors or styles. We came here as a last resort after looking on the website, and it was an extremely pleasant experience. Staff was nice and enthusiastic, the selection of dresses were nice and included a wide price range to choose from, and my daughter actually had fun trying things on and choosing a perfect dress when she usually finds shopping for things like this extremely stressful. The girls at this location are awesome! Debbie worked with me Friday and Sunday. She was patient enough to pull many dresses for me to try on and put me in a style I never thought I'd go for, but I still wasn't sure. I went home to think about the dress again and decided on a whim that I was going to apply for the credit card and was helped by Claudia who was very kind. Next I was just walking around looking at dresses when Sunshine, the manager, saw me and as we got to talking I showed her the dress I was apprehensive about, and even though I didn't have an appointment she took me in to get the dress on. She also had the lovely seamstresses measure me for undergarments (Hi Ashleigh!) and so once I was in the dress Jo and Marlee really came in gave me their honest and professional opinions about the sizing and by the end of my impromptu visit all my nerves about the dress melted away! I'm super thankful for the girls! They were especially wonderful this last visit! I can't wait for my first fitting. read more

I finally started the wedding dress shopping adventure and decided I would start at David's Bridal as a less intimidating bridal shop experience. Honestly, I thought I would try on a few dresses, get an idea of what I liked on my body type and then move on to my next fitting in DTLA. However, to my pleasant surprise I found the "ONE"! It turned out to be the second dress I tried on and after a few other options I kept coming back to the same dress. And once my stylist, Silvia E, asked if I could see myself walking down the isle in the dress and what my fiancé would think of me in the dress I completely lost it...the water works began. My 4 special guests also began to cry. It was the most perfect moment. Again, I think what made it extra special was that it was completely unexpected. A special shout out and thank you to Silvia E!! She was very kind and I felt confident she knew what I was/wasn't liking as I tried dresses on. She never made me feel pressure to say yes or to buy anything right away. She was kind to my guests and let them share their opinions. Thank you for putting up with us, Silvia :) We ordered the dress and veil that day of my appointment. Now I'm just trying to patiently wait for the dress to arrive and my wedding date in February 2022. Is it time yet?! I'm beyond excited to get married in the most perfect dress for me. Silvia, I will be returning soon with my bridesmaids. I will be sure to book an appointment with you :) And just a little advice to all the new brides out there...you don't always have to visit a bunch of bridal shops. Don't get stuck thinking of what else is out there. If you feel wonderful in a dress at the first shop then go with your instinct and say it's the ONE. I was dreading going bridesmaid dress shopping by myself during a pandemic, to be honest. But David's really made it a great experience. I got there a little early, so my stylist hadn't arrived for her shift yet. I didn't mind at all, as it gave me time to browse (we were picking our own for this wedding). Once she arrived, we got down to business. I can't remember my stylist's name but she was so great to work with! (Sweet black girl with braids, on the shorter side, if you get a chance to choose your associate!) First we started with size. David's is a lot truer to normal store sizes than the last place I had shopped for a dress (small store out of state), so that was helpful. Then we talked about the pre requisites. Had to be a certain color. Had to be floor length. Then we talked about my preferences. Wanted something on the shoulder (no strapless) but preferred no sleeves. And lastly, price. I wanted to stay $150 and under before tax. She picked out a style that she thought would be perfect and we pulled several variations of it to try on. I grabbed one more on sale that I had noticed when browsing for good measure. I popped in the dressing room and got my friend the bride on FaceTime. The stylist was super helpful with zipping me into every dress and being patient with me FaceTiming the bride and giving her opinion when I asked for it. The bride and I narrowed it down to two, I bit the bullet and decided, and both the bride and stylist agreed that was their favorite too. She rang me up at the register. Was totally forthright about shipping time. (Their system gives them an estimate of arrival and a second estimate based on Covid pushing things back) We talked about when was best to do alterations and went ahead and scheduled that as well. Overall, my experience was great. The selection of dresses gave me options without overwhelming me. And even the prices weren't too bad! As far as Covid precautions. They recommend making an appointment, but it's not absolutely necessary. You can make an appointment as a bride bringing in your maids, or solo. And of course everyone's masked the whole time. read more

It has been a seriously stressful struggle to plan our wedding in a pandemic. After rescheduling the big day 3 times, we finally have a venue for September 19th (that's right less than 3 months away). In serious crunch time I made an appointment at Modern Bride in downtown LA and made a back up appointment at David's Bridal just in case. My experience at Modern Bride was terrible. The staff was dismissive, kept forgetting my name and just uninterested in me as a customer. The guy at the front actually told me I was "wasting my time" being there. It really dampened me. I'm already shopping for my wedding dress alone in an ugly mask and they were awful. I went to David's prepared for more talk of how I'd never find a dress in time and then I met BROOKE. This experience was unlike any shopping experience I've ever had. She knew my name when I walked in (and remembered it). She reviewed my photos with me, asked me questions about the wedding and what I wanted, and while she knew immediately what I was looking for she gave me a real "wedding dress shopping experience". I truly felt like I was shopping with my best friend. Brooke was funny, engaging, and a literal DREAM to work with. She even let me stay beyond my appointment time to try on veils and call my mom. I felt supported. I never felt rushed or looked down on for the time crunch I'm in. When I finally said YES to the DRESS, the amazing staff was there to cheer for me and told me I looked beautiful. While I wished my family could be there for this special moment, I certainly did not feel alone. I've visited this store a couple of times. My last visit was great. I had an appointment to try on wedding dresses and came in really just to browse. I had something in mind already and was sure that David's Bridal would not carry my style or size within my budget. I can't believe how wrong I was! They have a great selection of dresses and carry a range of sizes from petite to plus size. Outside of the selection, Sarah Ann truly elevated my experience. She is knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful. I told her what I wanted and my price range and she worked with me to find exactly what I envisioned. Not only that, but Sarah Ann made sure my experience was one for the books. She's truly the best and you wouldn't want anyone else! I should also add that Sunshine, the store manager, was very friendly and welcoming. Both she and Sarah Ann did a great job ensuring we had everything we needed during our visit. I would only add that the receptionist could improve her customer service skills. Before I arrived, I called to inform the store that I was running 15 minutes behind. The receptionist who answered my call was curt and informed us that though it was okay, my appointment time would be cut short. I do understand that they have a system in place to be as efficient as possible, but for the money you spend during your visits, they should be more flexible. Despite this, Sarah Ann seemed to take her time and didn't rush us at all. She was understanding and didn't even raise concerns about time constraints. We were able to find, pay and book a future appointment for my alterations in under 90 minutes. Overall, this store has great customer service and knowledgeable staff. It gets from me. read more

I have been a bit overwhelmed with everything bridal, so when it came to looking for my dress, I was NOT looking forward to it. However, everyone at this David's Bridal was so nice and calmed me right away! My stylist (shout out Laura!) was great. They gave me room to browse on my own, but also helped guide me when they could see I wasn't sure. I felt comfortable giving them my feedback on everything I tried on. I was lucky enough to have been matched with Dom! She is incredibly helpful, and a great asset to this company. After giving her the lowdown on a secret elopement in two days, she went to work offering me different styles within my budget. She had wonderfully honest opinions on the shape and style of each dress, a great sense of humor, and it narrowed things down for me quickly. There were two phenomenal managers there as well who were just stopping in to check on things. I even found my dream shoes based on their great suggestion to just try it on. What a great experience! Only shop here if you want to be body shamed and gossiped about by the staff. From the first time I called this store to make inquiries about appointments, purchases, etc, to picking up my dress - the front office/desk and about one of the stylist staff have been unprofessional and seem to hate that they work there. I was instructed by the bride whose party I'm in to purchase a specific dress and color that she had chosen at David's Bridal. Otherwise I would have never stepped into the store. The first time I called, the lady who answered the phone was still talking to her coworker about how she didn't get a specific day off, and ultimately told me I can learn everything I needed online and quickly hung up. I made my appointment online and went in to try on the dress. When I arrived I greeted the young man at the check in desk and let him know my appointment time, etc. He rolled his eyes and said that he'd try to find someone to help me. The first stylist who approached me, asked for my size and when I told her I'm between a 8-12 depending on the fabric, she laughed and said that I was going to be an 18-24. Nothing like someone looking you up and down and making a statement like that. I told her the style of dress I needed and she walked me over to the dressing rooms and started taking different dresses with the largest sizes in each style. She disappeared after I told her none of them were the dress I needed and the only nice person there, Nashira, helped me find the correct dress in my size, which ended up being a 12. When I went to check out, the previous stylist seemed upset that I was being helped and made a comment about the size of my dress and how it should have been much larger for what I look like. Nashira assured me I had the correct size and was extremely professional and kind. Honestly, she deserves so much better than to work with the rest of the people there. My dress came in early, and the phone call I got was so cold and the person who contacted me said that they'd keep it if I didn't "hurry up" and pick it up. While picking up my dress, I walked in and looked for a staff member. There were two stylists helping brides, and the office staff were huddled behind the counters discussing an older client who didn't speak English. They were making comments like, "I hate old people" and "I wish she'd make up her mind and leave." I walked toward them and said I had an order to pick up. No one moved, I tried to hand them my receipt but they said they only needed my name. I said my first and last name and they all started to giggle. They asked me to pronounce it repeatedly, and started to fight about who would go find my dress because no one wanted to "walk all the way back there." They told a newer staff member to go find it and she asked me for my name about four more times. She took her time and came back with nothing. While she was looking, the women and one man were gossiping about one of the brides who was beaming with joy in the dress she was trying on. They commented on her size, saying "fat women" shouldn't wear dresses like the one she had on. The young man working there saw that the girl didn't find my dress and he sighed and said "I guess I'll have to find it since you don't know how to look." He also had to take my name down about four or five times and when he came back he had my dress bunched up in the bag. When leaving I said thank you I hope you have a nice day and he turned to me and said "yeah whatever." I'm not sure who manages the store, who makes the hiring decisions, or why this staff goes out of their way to make it obvious that they don't like their jobs and tear people down. These individuals had the ugliest personalities and it's sad to think about how many people go there to find something special for weddings and other special events. If this is the only store option for you, proceed with caution. Otherwise take your business elsewhere. read more

I absolutely loved going to David's Bridal, Stephanie and Sarah Ann were the absolute best, I went in looking for a dress I saw online and it was right there when I walked in and they made me feel so beautiful with the compliments on how I looked in the dress and even as I walked in Sarah Ann was helping this woman who looked so very satisfied and happy with the help she received it made me feel so happy to be there. I found the one! Julia was an amazing expert to work with. Her high energy, and attention to detail made my appointment so streamlined and fun! Once she narrowed down my style preferences, she really delivered dresses I felt like myself in. Moreover, she was attentive to my budget, and every dress she showed me was in my price range. For those interested in Covid-19 Protocols, the store staff all wore gloves and masks. Social distancing was enforced, and I tried on my dresses on my own in the dressing room. The staff member then helped clip and zip anything once I stepped out of the dressing room to show the look to my party. I booked my appointment online, and brought 3 guests with me. I called to include one more and the staff said if the capacity was not filled the extra guest would be able to come in. If it was filled, they said people from my party could go outside to allow my other guest in. It was great to know I could accommodate to have all my important people there. Every experience I have had here has been magical! I tried on 5 wedding dresses with Sarah and took home 2. I had the most special moment saying yes to the dress. They really care here! I thought this place was just fine, but I was only in there to try on a bridesmaid dress for size. Nothing major. I made for the racks (it's not like theyre off-limits) and had nearly grabbed what I was looking for when I was approached by a salesman to ask if i needed help finding anything. I want to say his name was Mark, but that could be wrong.. but he was very nice and helpful. I could tell he had a lot on his plate that day but still remained unfrazzled and courteous the whole time. Went on a Saturday late-AM and it was PACKED! Brides with their families and men waiting awkwardly outside and tons of prom-going teen girls too. I went to David's Bridal last month (July 11, 2020) to start looking for a wedding dress for my 2021 wedding. When I made my appointment, it was advised for me to save some "Favorites" off their website to show my consultant what I wanted. When we arrived, everyone was wearing masks, which was great, but there were more people than I anticipated around the store. Though they were respectful of social distancing, which I appreciated! The consultant who worked with me was Sarah Ann! WOW! She was absolutely amazing! I showed her my "Favorites" and she respected my "wants" but still wanted to challenge my style a little bit. She gave me a dress that was similar to my #1 choice and just asked me to try it on because she thought that it would compliment my body. SHE WAS RIGHT!!!! I didn't even think about wearing a dress like what she chose, but I loved how it fit and looked on me. I said YES to the dress! I also was not sure about wearing a veil, but she had me try them on just to see. I realized that I didn't like the shorter veils but LOVED how cathedral length veils looked and we picked the best one that goes with my dress. Sarah Ann said that she'd be like my fairy godmother at the beginning of my appointment and THAT SHE WAS! SARAH ANN IS THE BEST! She also worked her magic when my mom had her Mother of the Bride appointment right after my appointment. She showed Sarah Ann her favorites and again, Sarah Ann respected what she had in mind, but just like with me, she pulled one that she thought my mom would look great in. AGAIN, we went with what Sarah Ann chose. It looks so great on my mom and my mom would've never considered it until Sarah Ann encouraged her to "just see how it looks." Sarah Ann and Carly were AMAZING with my fitting today. I immediately felt like they had an understanding of my style and how I wanted to look on my wedding day. Sarah Ann asked me for 5 words that described how I wanted to look, and said skinny couldn't be one of them, and it really helped ensure that she could pick dresses that would be exactly what I wanted. They were super patient with me any time I was indecisive and were always happy to grab a belt or other accessory to help bring my vision to life. Most of all I appreciated the honesty. I never felt pressured to like a dress or even make the purchase that day. They were both all ears with my very specific criticisms of dresses including the construction and used those criticisms to bring me dresses that would better fit what I was looking for. They knocked it out of the park and I ended up finding a gown that made me feel like an old Hollywood ingenue and a princess all wrapped in one! Going to be honest, whenever I thought of David's bridal, I thought it was more of a last option place. Let me tell you how WRONG I was! I wish I had come here first. I had the BEST experience! There are so many options to choose from and I loved everything I put on. Which is saying a lot coming from a very picky person. My stylist Sarah Ann was my fairy godmother!! She was so amazing and patient and really made me feel special and beautiful. I never felt rushed and I am so grateful for her attention to detail! I felt like she truly cared about me and that I didn't settle for a dress I wasn't obsessed with. I am BEYOND grateful for her! Everyone in the store was so sweet and made me feel special. I found my dress and couldn't be happier. Even the seamstress came out and I was able to talk about ways to customize. OVERALL AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I need to preface this review in that there are some amazing employees at this location who helped me in various ways. This review has to do with integrity. David's bridal made a promise to do tailoring/fittings for any Alfred Angelo bride in need. I took my Alfred Angelo dress into David's bridal in Burbank and David's told me that I was too early because my wedding was in June. David's asked me to come back in a few months. So I did. On my second trip, I got the same response as the first time.They said you are too early, come back in a few months. So I did. I visited the store a third time! THIS TIME they told me THE PROMOTION IS OVER! We can't help you. (Please note that no employee mentioned at any time that this was a limited time offer.) I'm thinking, you gotta be kidding me right?! We called the manager and told her what happened. She was completely unsympathetic and said she was going to call higher ups. She did not apologize and did not feel that the store was dishonest for not telling us it was a limited time thing. WTH?! I am one of those people who believes that honesty is the best policy and that integrity is important. I am disappointed that David's couldn't be honest to begin with about there being a limited time for the tailoring and fitting. If they had, I would not be writing this review. Update! My 3rd visit I finally found my dress. It isn't my dream as I didn't create it but it's damn close and I'm happy! Thanks to Keshanna for her lovely and funny attitude. She made it so fun. Thank you ladies so much for all your suggestions and help in making my grand day one I'll never forget. I can't wait to see the look on my fiancés face! And lastly, Ashley K. Was the one who didn't give me the bridal experience on my first visit (and was still rude on my recent visit). Sharice and Keshanna are an amazing team and that's what it should be about. You can tell they both really enjoy doing their jobs but as for Ashley K. she's a bit uptight as she was rude to Keshanna right in front of me as I was purchasing my dream dress and I just found it to be really disrespectful to show that ugly attitude. First of all, making an appointment was super easy through their texting platform. Our daughter was visiting from out of town and we were able to get in the next day. We were greeted by someone who helped us into the store since my mom was in a wheelchair. Everyone was wearing masks and properly social distanced. Sarah Ann (and her assistant, who's name escapes me) were amazing! We did not plan on actually buying or being able to find a dress, yet, we did! Sarah Ann loves her job and it shows. She was super helpful, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. She didn't push at all. Our daughter said Yes to the dress. It was a really enjoyable experience!
