My daughter and I went to find a Mother of the Bride dress. We found a perfect dress, if it wasn't for the length. That same dress also comes as a midi, so we were hoping to get that, but they didn't have my size in the store in the midi. Our salesperson, Sarah Ann Vail, was so helpful in finding that dress. According to her computer search, there were only 5 dresses in that size and length left in the world! The first few stores she called did not have it even though the computer showed they did. Sarah was determined and persistent, she kept on calling other stores, and she was so pleasant and friendly throughout the process. She finally found my dress! I must say that our experience at Burbank Empire Center was excellent throughout our visit. We were greeted right away in a very friendly manner. Sarah was very efficient finding dresses for me to try. According to Sarah, the salesperson who helped her at the other store where she finally found the dress was also very helpful, and very friendly. Her name was Amber, from your Tacoma, WA store. Sarah Ann she is awesome. I came here a few days ago to get a wedding dress. I am doing Day of the Dead wedding, I had no clue what I wanted, I was thinking red and black. My catholic family is already stressing me out about not having a traditional Catholic wedding. Sarah kept saying is your day which made me feel better. I had my sister, brother in law, nieces, and my friend via skype. She made us all feel welcome, they could tell I was nervous. I tried on a red dress, super discount dress, and some bitchin shoes. I loved the shoes so much I bought them. She found my dress, it was such a relief and when she put the red sash on, I was in love. She helped me with my body type (small boobs big hips), she listen to what i liked and didn't. She help my nieces pick my veil, they were so happy to be involve. My youngest niece is a monster when it comes to fabric and man, Sarah worked her magic with my niece as well. She found a dress for her that my niece cried over when we told he we would come back. Didn't have the money at the time. This was emotional because my mom passed almost 4 years ago, another woman over was with her mom. I could tell she was frustrated, so in my dress I went over and made her watch the train of the dress she was wearing. Told her she looks awesome and should feel beautiful. Her and I talked and I found she having a star wars wedding, I was blown away ( I'm a nerd too). We both teared up, I teared up because her mom had this huge smile. I don't know because it was too brides talking or what. I teared up because I just imagine my mom sitting there smiling and laughing. Long story short, I had a great experience. I went to another, "higher end" bridal salon before going here, and the difference between the two was night and day. I arrived at David's about 10 mins early for my appointment, was met with a smile, and my consultant, Sarah Ann, was with me within 5 minutes, probably less. She listened to what I wanted and asked me my budget (something the consultant at the other salon never bothered to as me) and began to bring me what I asked for, as well as some other types of dresses that she intuitively thought may be my style as well. In fact, the dress I ended up picking was a dress that she initially brought she that I took one look at on the hanger and said: "No. Uh-uh. I can tell you right now, that's not my dress". She simply smiled, said "Ok" and we moved on. Later, I decided to try it on "just in case" and what do you know?!? I'll admit it - I was wrong, and Sarah's intuition was spot on. That initial dress was THE one :) Since I went in on a Saturday, the store was busy, and Sarah Ann had another bride to take care of as well, but I never felt neglected or that I was being rushed. All in all, I tried on probably 8-10 dresses and was there for about 2 hours total. My overall impression of the store was that it was professional and that the employees I interacted with (2 consultants since Sarah Ann had to go on a break part way through my session but returned), the store manager, and the alterations person, knew their stuff. Since I don't live in So Cal, I had to have them order my dress and then ship it to me. Granted, I was a little nervous about this, but they said that they would call when they had received it in store and give me the tracking number for the shipment to me. True to their word, I got my phone call, the tracking number, and my dress arrived at my house today - 6 WEEKS ahead of the estimated arrival date. And everything was correct. Now all that is left to do is have it altered and I will be all set for my big day. I was very impressed with this store, their customer service, and the professionalism with which they conducted themselves. This morning, my niece, Kaigan, had her first appointment for wedding dress shopping. She scheduled with Sarah Ann Veil at David's Bridal in Burbank. Kaigan had some pics of different styles, and Sarah Ann searched the dress racks for dresses she felt Kaigan would like. She was also very kind to our blended family: one mom, one soon-to-be mom-in-law, three grandmas, one auntie, and a maid-of-honor. Kaigan had some idea of what she wanted, and she felt that this appointment would help her in her continuing search. She really had no intention of buying her dress today. After trying on several dresses, Kaigan got a better idea of what she liked and didn't care for. Sarah Ann brought out one last dress that Kaigan had already seen on a mannequin, not giving it much thought. We gasped when we saw the dress on her, and when she saw herself in it...... SHE SAID YES TO THE DRESS!!! All thanks to Sarah Ann for her patience, kindness and professionalism. She helped make this day so special for us all, and she especially allowed Kaigan to make her decision without stress - PRICELESS! We would all recommend coming to this store for any formal needs! I have never reviewed on Yelp and signed up solely so that I could share my negative experience with this particular store. I hope that it will be seen by upper management and that something will be done to solve similar situations that may arise in the future. I had an appointment to try on a specific bridesmaid dress for April 22. I called ahead and made the appointment in hopes that I would be able to quickly try on the dress, order it and move on with my day. When I arrived at the store, I was given a clipboard with a form to fill out as I waited for a salesperson. I obliged and it wasn't until I got halfway down the form that I realized that it was a form meant for a bride-to-be. I corrected the girl at the front desk who apologized and ran off to chase someone down to help me. After trying on and during the checkout process, my sales associate explained that I could spend $15 extra to have the dress shipped directly to me. He said that it would first ship from the warehouse to the store and then from the store to my apartment. I decided on that option so that I wouldn't have to drive all the way back up to Burbank again to pick it up. In the weeks following my visit, I received numerous phone calls not just from David's Bridal, but from other companies. I'm talking three calls a day. After doing a little research, I came to understand that David's Bridal is notorious for selling customer information to third-party retailers. Being fed up, I picked up the phone on one of these calls and it just so happened to be a nice woman from the store who was just called to see how my wedding planning was going and if I had found my wedding dress. Let me remind you, I am not a bride. I did my best to kindly explain my frustration and asked to be removed from any and all call lists. Sometime mid-late May, I called the store to a) follow up on the progress of the dress and b) inform them that I was moving and c) to have them change the address on my order. The girl on the phone explained that my dress had already been shipped, so they could not change the address. I asked her if it had made it to the store yet and offered to just pick up the dress from there to avoid any confusion. She was adamant that dresses shipped directly from the warehouse to customers' homes and that the associate who helped me before was wrong. She offered no help, so I notified the landlord at my old building to let me know when the package arrived so that I could come get it. Sometime in June, the bride received a phone call that my dress had been shipped. After a week or so and no news from my landlord, I called to follow up again. This associate informed me that the dress had, in fact just been shipped form the warehouse and that it still needed to make it to the store first before it would be sent to me. I explained my situation and she gladly changed my address in her system so that it would be shipped to my new apartment. After almost a month still no sign of the dress, I called David's Bridal yet again on July 16 to follow up. This associate, when verifying my name also verified my address in the system as the correct one. She could see in the computer that the dress had been shipped from the store and proceeded to transfer me to Receiving to get a tracking number. The girl in Receiving kindly told me that my dress had been shipped over two weeks ago to my old address. She claimed that while my address may have been changed somewhere, it had not been changed on the shipping information. When I asked for help with how to handle the situation, she simply said, "Good luck, hun." While I am aware that none of this is likely to be her fault, I was really hoping for some good ole' customer service at this very moment, not a simple 'good luck.' So here I am frustrated, dressless, and really unsure as to how to handle all of this. I just briefly looked on the website for contact information and when I couldn't find any I came here to vent my frustrations. I have worked not only in customer service, but also in the wedding industry, so I generally do my very best to be gracious and patient in these types of situations. I have to admit that David's Bridal has made it very difficult to do that. This has been one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences I have ever had and I would not recommend David's Bridal, especially this store to anyone. read more

Came in for a fitting for my daughter and could not have left happier. Ryan made everything a breeze. He went above and beyond making my daughter feel comfortable, us feel comfortable... just awesome. And when we couldn't find the right size, he some how saved the day and hunted one down. AMAZING experience!! We came here for my sister to try on wedding dresses!! All of the staff was amazing. Her stylist was Eden, she was wonderful at giving suggestions and quick to get what we needed. At one point the dress she saw online was not available, however, both Eden and Stephanie, the manager, worked quickly together to find something similar and it worked out AMAZING as it was the dress she picked!!! K, so before I go crazy describing my experience at David's Bridal, I should tell you something: I think weddings are bull$hit! I think marriages are wonderful.l I'm looking forward to getting married, and I'm looking forward to having a party with all my friends and family to celebrate my marriage. But the wedding industry, and the idea of being a princess for the day? Kinda stupid. It's common for people to spend the equivalent of a down payment on a house on their wedding... and it's one day! I'll never be able to make sense of that. Anyways, I came to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses. The girl who helped me was nice. Things fit me. They were kinda expensive. Nothing felt that awesome. Everything would need alterations, since I really had no desire to wear a puffy cupcake dress, or a long train. The young woman who helped me was really nice, but she didn't have a mermaid style dress with no train for under $600, so I went to the weird store in the Burbank mall and bought one there for $200. I figured I'd have my bridesmaids wear their own black dresses to my no-muss, no-fuss wedding... but after a few weeks of chatting, emailing and plotting my bridal shower, they realized that they all like each other so much that they'd like to dress like a 1960's pop ensemble, all in the same dress. Keeping true to my promise of "no fuss", I said sure. I made an appointment at David's B. Our group of five showed up and started trying on a host of styles. It seemed more like the sales people were trying to get them to put on every style available, rather than asking questions to lead them to the right styles, colors, fits, etc. To be fair, this is a training issue. I've worked retail, and sales, and it's not always the natural thing to ask people what they are really looking for.... but I could have easily told them this, and saved a lot of time. (black or turquoise, chiffon or crepe, under $150) Eventually, everyone found a style of dress they liked, in a fabric they liked. Then we went to the register, the sales person (Debbie) realized my wedding is in roughly one month, and all hell broke loose as she attempted to secure the dresses in the color that my little ensemble of bridesmaids decided that they wanted. (Purple. Don't ask) Debbie could not find the sizes in the style and the color. So she had the herculean task of trying to talk one of my bridesmaids into buying a size six in a dress she couldn't try on at the store, because they only physically had a four (too tight) and an eight (too big). So, just to back up for a minute here, this particular bridesmaid is absolutely lovely. She's petite, and a touch high strung, so she tends to see every little ripple of her flesh as an impediment to perfection. She's beautiful, but she lives in LA, so she feels fat. Every time she walked out of the dressing room that day, I squealed at how cute she looked in all these little dresses.... So when desperate Debbie of David's Bridal tried to hard sell her into the size four by saying "You'll lose weight before the wedding, right?" she was lucky that the rest of us were too far away to hear it. "You'll lose weight before the wedding" is a disgustingly inappropriate thing to say to ANY WOMAN AT ANY TIME. At one point in the process of ringing us up, we collectively got so tired that as a group, we were forced to sit on the floor in front of the register. A couch would have been a good choice. Anyways! Finally, as we're preparing to go, a male employee approaches me to info gather me and pitch me wedding services. I did my best to be polite while explaining that I could give a flying F about the color of the napkins at my wedding. Overall, David's Bridal seems like a horrible place to work, and a slightly less horrible place to shop. They're facing tremendous pressure to make their numbers, and it shows. read more

I have frequented this David's Bridal in two separate occasions with a couple of my bridesmaids. Both times we received outstanding service from Joanna, Cassandra, and the manager Emily. They all went above and beyond to ensure everyone's needs were heard and met. I required they all have different styles from the Vera wang line All of my girls found dresses they loved in the color I required from them. Emily went out of her way to look through the catalog and ensure the already purchased dresses were not included in the options for the pending bridesmaids. Joanna was quick to help with trying on all the dresses. And Cassandra provided a very swift and friendly checkout at the end. They have a fantastic crew at David's bridal Burbank. read more

When I first started my hunt for the perfect wedding dress, I started at David's Bridal. It wasn't the location in Burbank but the one in mid-city LA and to be honest, I had no intention of buying my dress there. I thought it was going to be a bunch of cheap looking dresses and nothing classy and since it's such a huge chain- I guess I thought I could do better. I just wanted to try on a few and see what style I might want. I was treated great by my sales associate but I did not say yes to any dress. The hunt went on... I went to a few smaller bridal stores and did find dresses I liked okay but the prices were way over my budget. A friend referred me to Alfred Angelo saying, "It's a step above David's Bridal." I checked it and found my dress! I said yes. I was thrilled. The hunt was over. Until... For anyone who's been watching the news lately, Alfred Angelo went bankrupt and left a lot of brides in a state of panic. They straight up closed their doors, without notice- I guess some customers were called and told to pick up their dress by the next day but I had zero notice. Nothing. Nadda. Zilch! I. Was. Pissed. My wedding is in 2 months! Getting my dress was one of the first things I did to check it off my list. Well, David's Bridal did something brilliant and cashed in on their competitor's failings. They offered brides who could supply their original Alfred Angelo receipt a 30% off discount. I called one of my bridesmaids and filled her in on the situation. "How long should I wait? What if Alfred Angelo calls me and I've already bought a second dress?" "You're getting married in 2 months! You don't wait a single day." Aaaand off to David's Bridal in Burbank we went! I called on the way to make sure they were offering the discount I'd heard about via Twitter. Wendy, the manager confirmed and was nothing but understanding and helpful. When we got to the store, Sarah Ann was my sales person. She had great taste, listened to my story and what I wanted and brought me some beautiful choices. Future brides take note: all wedding dresses look really ugly in a big old plastic bag but try them on! You'll be surprised what looks good on you! And let the good people at David's Bridal in Burbank help you out. Sarah was truly terrific, Wendy was a superstar (got my discount!) and the alterations girl Heather is helping me and she is a black belt in Kenpo and can decorate cakes! Just saying, this team really made my dress shopping experience a story I'll remember forever. David's Bridal has a lot more class than I imagined. read more

Remind me to bring snacks next time. Dude, we were there for hours. HOURS! When the bride made the appointment, it was for a busy Saturday afternoon. The sales people weren't ready for her and just gave her a bunch of catalogs and invited the bridesmaids to poke around their paltry selection of BM dresses. Some of the dresses looked way too slutty for a wedding and then the rest were too frou-frou. Why wasn't there a happy medium? The only two dresses we liked didn't fit right and they weren't the right color. Finally, a sales person came over to help the bride. She pulled out three dresses but refused to find more when the bride didn't like them. We had to snag a passing by sales person who reluctantly agreed to help us. It was depressing to see the bride wander down the racks and racks of dresses trying to find the perfect dress. Without help, she was lost. After about another hour of the bride getting in and out of the same two dresses, we left without getting anything. Their loss, right? No, David's Bridal is basically a discount store. They make their money on volume not quality. read more

The key to David's Bridal: find some friendly way to say "NO" (I chose to smile and say "Later"), triple-check your FINAL SALE purchase, and get the heck out of there. Do this right, and you'll enjoy their huge selection of reasonably-priced gowns without getting tricked into surrendering the rest of your wedding budget. I showed up with my MOH without an appointment, which turned out to be a mistake because they're appointment-only, but they managed to squeeze me in after 20 minutes or so. The salesgirl was pretty patient and non-pushy as I tried on tons of dresses and eventually picked one. Be extra careful about picking your PERFECT dress as sales are FINAL (a big chain store like this should really have some sort of return/exchange option). And now for the tricky part. I'm pretty sure David's Bridal makes most of its profits on all the little overpriced extras. Before you try on a single dress, they put you in an $80 corset bra (high quality) and a pair of $60 heels (low quality, but very bridal-looking). They slip a $30 bracelet on your wrist and tuck $40 flowers in your hair, though each of these items would probably cost $10 at the mall. They're totally overcharging for low-quality junk, but you get fooled because your financial senses are skewed by your $500 gown. After you buy all this stuff, expect to receive occasional phone calls as they try to bring you in for alterations (which I've heard are shoddy and overpriced), bridesmaid dresses (ick), and everything else in "your color." For this stuff and all the accessories above, the only reason you should get these from David's Bridal is that you're completely out of time and therefore MUST get everything in one place. In that case, they have everything available for you in coordinating colors, and your hapless bridesmaids can just show up to any branch and the computer will tell them what dress they are assigned to buy. If you have time (and I only had 3 months, so don't freak out too much about time), here's what I did: 1) Bought a gown and garment bag for $560 including tax 2) Told the salesgirl that I had to "think about it" for everything else 2) Got the dress altered at a mom-n-pop place for $130 3) Bought everything else from other places, which ended up either costing a lot less or costing the same for much better style/quality. So in conclusion, go to David's Bridal for a wedding dress because they have a huge selection of budget-priced gowns. Then, firmly insist on shopping around before you buy anything else! It's totally worth it if you can resist all the extras. read more

Oliver is amazing! I got my appointment for 3pm and in less than 1.5 hours he helped me say yes to my beautiful dress!!!! Oliver was very attentive to all the details! He gives you enough wait time for you to figure out how you feel in a dress and always follows up with great questions. He will not stop until you are 100% sure that you have found your dream dress! When he brought out the veil, he shared the beautiful tradition and significance behind the cathedral veil, and really helped me envision what walking down the isle would feel like! 5 stars for a great experience. I came in (sans appointment) with my MOH to hunt for bridesmaid dresses. We were looking for Vera Wang bridesmaid dresses ( a complimentary set), and were specific in our needs. We started scouting dresses, and Sara Ann was with us within 5 minutes. Much to our dismay the dresses we wanted have been discontinued, so sizing and color options were limited. Not only did Sarah Anne call other stores to search for the dresses (which placated me as my vision crumbled around me), she then proceeded to work with us for more than an hour, bringing my MOH at least 10 dresses within the budget and varying lengths we had established. Sara Ann was so accommodating, considerate, and also honest when we needed opinions. She has practical bridesmaid experience/wisdom to share, and had all the time in the world for us. No request was too large. She was priceless to our process, and I can't say enough good things about her. My MOH ordered her dress before we left. Thank you, Sara Ann!!! Other notes on the store - clean, well-kept, organized, and the entire staff was courteous. INCOMPETENT, rude, disorganized, unprofessional, and just straight up ridiculous. God willing, I will never have to set foot in that hellhole ever again. There is no way, NO FREAKING WAY, I will ever again do business with David's Bridal. Their communication sucks. You're greeted by one person, handed off to another, passed along to someone else, vaguely directed to another area of the store, and just when you start to wonder what the fuck is going on, the whole cycle starts up again. Not a single person there knows what they are doing!!!!! I am a bridesmaid in two different weddings this summer. Out of our group of 4 friends, 2 are getting married and we are all in both weddings. The two brides live in the SF Bay area, and the other bridesmaid and I live here. This is hardly a brain twisting predicament but goddamn, the staff at David's Bridal just could not wrap their minds around that fact. Apparently ordering two dresses is outside of their normal comfort zone because it took OVER HALF AN HOUR for us bridesmaids to be rung up by FIVE DIFFERENT SALES PEOPLE, having to explain to each one that we were in two weddings. Not only that, but they rang us up incorrectly and we had a moment of panic making sure the right dresses got ordered. I seriously half expected to come back and pick up a bright orange dress instead of navy blue. It's such a long headachey story I will just give you the "highlights": -Upon explaining the multiple wedding situation, the first thing they asked us bridesmaids was when we were getting married. Nice. Way to make us single girls feel extra special. -The fitting room attendant was baffled when I asked for a smaller size. "You want me to get you another size? But you asked for this one." She made no indication of moving anytime that evening so I offered to go find it myself but she rolled her eyes and said, no it's ok, she could go look for it. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your generosity. -During the cashier snafu, she kept giggling and saying how bad she was at her job. Lady, it's not endearing or self-effacing. It's just true and you should be fired. -We were given a discount because one of the brides had ordered her dress through them. When they switched cashiers YET AGAIN we had to explain AGAIN about being in two weddings for the same people. We were mistakenly given a discount for the other dress, and upon realizing her mistake she asked us to do another transaction so she could ring us up for full price. At this point, they should have just let us have the measly discount after being at the cash wrap for over half an hour. -No instructions on dress pick-up or how long it would take for them to arrive. Would they email us? Deliver? Tell the bride? Turns out they call you... -...multiple times. I recieved no less than 4 voicemails in one day telling me my dress was ready for pick up. And then the day after that. And the day after that. -When we finally did go in to pick up the dresses it was a disaster. Too many salespeople doing nothing and passing people off to other salespeople to avoid doing work. The salesgirl who went to find the dresses was the only saving grace. I wish I had gotten her name because she deserves props for being friendly and efficient. When she returned with our dresses someone commented, "Oh good the dresses were there!" EXCUSE ME??? Was there a chance that our dresses would not be there after receiving multiple borderline-stalking phone calls? Well I guess that really wasn't the short version, but people need to know. I have been engaged for 2 and a half years. Putting off my dress buying until here I am 2 months away from my big day. I was not looking forward to this. I could not be happier with my experience here. All the credit is due to the lovely Sarah Ann Vail. She made me love my dress buying experience. My Mom, who also isn't in to this kind of thing, absolutely loved her as well. Sarah is kind and genuine and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and actually have a good time. I genuinely feel like Sarah loves what she does and truly wants the bride to find their perfect fairytale dress. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. How is Men's Warehouse so much better than you? I just called to put a bustier on hold so that when I pick up my dress on Friday I can pay for it and you can't because of "Company Policy". Really? Is it also your company policy to make people wait 2 hours after their appointment to get fitted? Re-write your company policies. Put a stupid $80 bustier on hold with my wedding dress. My daughter and I went to the David's Bridal in Stevenson Ranch, looking for a dress for a themed event. We were greeted by Alyssa, who was very welcoming. Alyssa asked what we were looking for, and she knew exactly how to help. We were able to look at dresses and pick those we wanted to try on. Alyssa also had some picks that she thought might work for the occasion. She asked us our price point, which I appreciated, and showed us a variety of possibilities. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about how the dresses should fit. Alyssa was patient and did not make us feel rushed during our visit. The other employees that were there, were very nice, and helpful too. We enjoyed our visit and were happy with the selection of dresses they had. I really don't know why all the bad reviews... I came in with an appointment, which, if you are serious about buying a wedding dress, and not just playing dress up with your girlfriends, it is what you should do anyway. My consultant was Sarah Ann, she was more than willing to accommodate to my budget, listened to what I had to say, and had an uncanny ability to read my mind! I found my dress almost instantly, she treated us like we were family, as did everyone else in the store. If you go to David's Bridal in a normal human being behavior and not "Bridezilla" style, you will get great customer service, you will enjoy your experience and you will leave with a dress and a huge smile like I did! Take tissues, there will be happy tears :) and hey, if you are marrying the love of your life (I know I am!) The dress, is just a dress! read more

Wow I don't really know where to start with this place. The vibe as SOON as we walked in was WE ARE SO CORPORATE, DID YOU KNOW WERE CORPORATE...HEY LET ME SEE IF YOU REGISTERED ON OUR CORP WEBSITE...DID THE BRIDE GET HER CORP DRESS HERE?? Um NO. Then we were asked REPEATEDLY by 3 different people to please go look at the racks of bridesmaid dresses. It seemed as though you are not allowed to stand in the front of the store or something. Kind of hard to explain, but they were basically like get the f over there and check out the damn dresses. So we did and they were all SUPER FUGLY. I'm only 24 and I didn't know a dress could add 30+ years to an appearance. We probablly tried on EVERY single dress in the place and it all felt really rushed...the consultant was kind of a space cadet and didn't listen that well. We basically ran out of the store after trying on 20 billion dresses. This was my first time having to do this and it was such a huge downer on the experience. I do not recommend coming here at all. Luckily we found the best place EVER in Glendale. Sussy's. Just go there, you will be really happy. read more

Eh...went to David's Bridal to try on dresses. My assistant Jennifer was great but overextended. This is not her fault but might be from the way the company runs. She had multiple brides she had to pull and dress at the same time. The fabrics were cheap on the dresses too. I tried on a Galina signature and got hives from it. This review is specifically of the Burbank location. We went in for my daughter's final decision on her bridesmaid's dress yesterday. It was later in the day yesterday, 11/7/2020. I'd been cleaning the entire day and left this task for the end of the day. Not to say I wasn't in the best of moods I was just tired and ready to call it a night. We go in to pick up our dresses as we'd selected a week or so prior in the presence of the soon to be bride. I did not want us to leave without trying the "right size" on and being 100% happy with our selection. My daughter had a change of heart. I changed my mind as well about the dress I'd wear to my brother's wedding. The thing that really threw me for a loop was the lack of care that these dresses, the ones we were there to pick up, had received before they were picked up. They literally took them out of the UPS or FedEx box they came in and hung them on a hanger. They were wrinkled to high heaven. Had I chosen to just pick up and go, I'd be stuck with yet another chore and a bitter taste to my tongue about how David's bridal really doesn't give an "ish" about the product they sell or the people they sell to. What I thought was going to be an easy task became a much longer task that was not at all easy. My daughter had a hard time selecting a second choice. There were very few dresses in-house in her size. She found one that was a tad bit bigger but that we both agreed on. In the midst of rummaging the store looking for a dress that would fit, I felt immensely discriminated against. Joylin M, the store associate, and another young lady, also a store associate, followed us all throughout the store. I was not necessarily dressed in rags but I was dressed in cleaning-the-house clothes. I'd spoken Spanish aloud. Yes, I try to control this. I've been told I "pass" and am often treated differently once Spanish/Castellano is heard coming out of my mouth. I was wearing a big coat on account of the rain that had fallen at midday. "I'd already paid for our order" was the thought that immediately came to mind. The stress of dealing with a teen with body issues was heightened ten-fold by now this feeling we were being looked down on. Yes, Joylin M. tried her best when we were face to face. She knew what to say and how to say. She even offered a few words of encouragement to my daughter away from my earshot. However, this immense feeling of monitoring and eye rolling did not escape me only find it was later confirmed when kiddo saw them rolling their eyes among each other when I walked away. My daughter's second choice was finally solidified at checkout. Oh! and checkout! The cashier, I'm left to assume her name is Christina G. by the name on the receipt, knew I'd taken advantage of two coupons on my initial purchase. I was set to pay the extra amount given that I'd changed my dress choice to a much fancier selection and then I remembered, in the midst of my tired feeling, that I'd used 2! My daughter's new selection was less than the cost of the initial selection. They owed me money once the promo items were applied. Had I not asked to confirm, I'd overpay and head home only to get there and audit the purchase and find that I'd overpaid. I'd be thirty to forty minutes away from the store and would have to head back the next day to correct the situation. All in all, I don't like the idea of being laughed at, looked down on or be made to feel less than. I don't like being followed around a store [for whatever reason...your commission is on the line, you think I'm going to steal something, etc.] and I'm sure this is a sentiment many would share. Our new dresses are home now and we're heading to the tailor shop today to take daughter's slightly larger dress selection in a little. Best of luck to everyone else! read more

Wow. PASS! Long story short, the store was a mess, the service was crap, and they didn't have the dresses we, as bridesmaids, needed and wouldn't be able to get it in time for the wedding because of the color. She said that because of the color, it would take 12 weeks! You would think that David's Bridal would have dresses in a warehouse somewhere. NOPE! Not only that, it was $300 for the bride to get her wedding dress altered! Wack attack! read more

Being skeptical of anyone selling you anything comes with the territory, but in alterations, even more so. Not here. Jo made us feel comfortable and we trusted her immediately. She explained every detail of what was needed to make my sister's wedding dress perfect and custom. Although the overall total was more than we expected, we understood each element and never felt pressured once. Thank you Jo, for making my sister's dress dreams come true. You are truly one of a kind! Additionally, the manager Melissa, was hands on, remembered us when we came back for the fitting, and even inquired about some of the shared wedding details the previous visit. Okay to continue ... after having my best friend, the bride call the manager and finally get a hold of the regional manager we managed to get her to call me and arranged for a new dress to be made. It had to ship from somewhere in Asia and be express delivered just so it would make it in time for the wedding. All in all, the dress arrived as planned, and I was given alterations with no charge and given a 20% refund back, but I must say - that after all that myself and the bride had to go through - that was the least that could be done. If the managers and sales people at this store cared enough to show concern for their customers, I might not be writing this, but when there is a total blatant disregard for simple phrases like "we're sorry" or "can I help you?", one wonders why this place has ANY business. I would advise against this location. Let me also say that two of the other bridesmaids had issues here as well. The only bridesmaid that didn't lives in Northern California, so maybe go there - I don't know. All I know is that I will never come here again and I will never recommend it. It's not worth the stress and hassle. You've been warned. read more

A friend of mine is getting married, and I'm MOH. I made us an appointment at David's to try on dresses last Friday evening. I was grateful that it was not crowded. We were helped by a woman named Casmir, who didn't seem to really want to help us. I don't know if it was because she didn't like our budget or because she didn't like our taste, or what... but she honestly seemed offput by us the entire time. After we finished trying on dresses, we asked if we could put a hold on two dresses we liked, and she said that the store doesn't do that unless it's the same day, which we understood. She said she'd save both dresses to our profile, so we walked out, without noting down the item numbers, figuring we could easily find them again. Lesson learned. I called less than 48 hours later because we wanted to find out the cost for one of the dresses... the man who answered said that we had a profile at the shop but nothing had been saved to it. He said that Casmir was there and I heard her say something muffled (sounding annoyed.) He came back on the line and said he'd call me back in 20 mins when the store opened. He called back a bit later with info but it was about the wrong dress. As I was describing the dress to him he said it was really busy and asked if he could get back to me later. I asked if he'd like me to send a pic of the dress that we'd taken when she tried it on. He gave me his cell number and I texted it but he never called back. Definitely not a great experience. Thank goodness we found her a dress elsewhere this afternoon. read more
