We decided to stop by on a whim because we still needed to narrow down the MOH dresses so we didn't have an appointment. We were planning on just taking a look and narrow down the color. Stephanie Carrillo took such great care of us, took the time to answer all our questions regarding styles/colors etc. She was so patient with us! Stephanie made time/room for us to try on dresses. I recently purchased my wedding gown from David's Bridal and had a wonderful experience! My consultant Andriza was amazing - she really listened to what I had in mind and made suggestions about trying a different silhouette which I ultimately chose. To be honest, the place was a total zoo when I was there but it was a Saturday afternoon so I kind of expected that. Even though she was busy, my consultant was hustling and I really felt like she was helping me as best as she could. After trying on several dresses I had to leave for my engagement party so I made an appointment to go back the following day and finish up. I must have tried on 20 dresses and ended up buying the cheapest one, yet I never felt pressured to go with a pricier gown. I would definitely recommend making your appointment during the week if at all possible. Also you might want to bring a bathrobe from home. That way if you end up having to wait between gowns you can hang out with your friends / family instead of hiding in the dressing room in your underwear. The selection is great and the prices are so low you'll think they're marked wrong. If you're expecting Kleinfeld's, you're going to be disappointed. But if you want a great price for a gown that's still beautiful and can get by without the free champagne and fancy ambiance, definitely give David's a try. read more

Dont go to this bridal store!!! I went to the store about half a year ago, my stylist left in the middle of serving me and he never came back. He didn't greet us goodbye and he didn't see us off. I tried like 5dresses, each time all the stylists came by one by one and complimented how this would be the one dress for u. Seriously? It was my first bridal dress tryout and definitely the worst one. Last week I decide to giVe David's bridal another try but I went to a different one at pico st. Close to Beverley hills. I went to David's bridal to look for a dress and i found my dream dress. The process of finding it wasn't spectacular as at other boutiques. The first time i went in for alterations was very disappointing. I had also had issues with the online customer service. Basically i was ready to write a one star review at the end of it all and was dreading my next fitting. Then at my second fitting i was lucky enough to have Leasvy help me. She is awesome. It was a complete different experience with her. She was patient and made me feel comfortable. She took the time to make sure everything was the way i wanted it and that my maid of honor understood how to do the bustle. Thank you Leasvy for your excellent customer service. The first thing you should know is that, if you decide to shop at David's Bridal for your wedding dress, you are voluntarily foregoing the "bridal boutique" experience that a lot of brides value, for the hope that you might save some money. I say "the hope" because that's just what it is. You think you're being super budget conscious by coming to a bridal superstore such as this, but the truth is you have to be vigilant and ready to counter each and every curveball they try to throw at you that little by little will cause you to pay a lot more than you expected. The 3 stars is mostly for the designer dresses - the Vera Wang, Zac Posen, Oleg Cassini, and some of the Galina Signature dresses are truly breathtaking and IMO worth every penny of the sale price you will try to get on them. The second your saleslady latches onto the idea that you may like the dress you're wearing, she will use lots of manipulative tactics that she has obviously been taught in training to try to convince you to buy the dress. When I was trying to defend (!!) my decision to hold off on my dress and look at other stores, my saleslady said something like, "When you knew your man was The One, you knew you no longer had to keep looking. If this dress is The One, why would you need to keep looking?" I responded, "... umm, I think that finding a life partner is a little different than finding a wedding dress..." She was silent, lol. When I did decide to buy the dress after all (coming to my OWN decision without the "help" of sales pressure, thank you very much), the sales pitches began. If I buy a dress preservation kit now, I'll save $80. If I buy my accessories TODAY (from their selection of overpriced costume jewelry) I'll save 10%. If I buy a gown cover now, it'll only cost $10. (Shouldn't a gown cover be complimentary? Oh well...) When I asked about my size, she assured me that the size 10 fit me since she didn't need to use clips, and I should not under any circumstances buy anything smaller, even though their size chart put me squarely at a size 6. Even though she didn't even measure me, I trusted her judgement, accepted that I was 4 sizes bigger than I thought I was, ordered the dress, and was on my way. Fast forward a few weeks later (the dress came quickly - no docked stars for speedy manufacturing and shipping from whatever foreign country their dresses are made). I picked up the dress and brought it home. (It's absolutely no refunds/exchanges anyway, and I was already scared #@%$less from the horrendous Yelp reviews of their alterations department, so I knew that there was literally no point in trying on the dress in the store lest they try to hard sell me on their alterations lady as well!) I brought the dress home and tried it on with the undergarments I plan to use. Major major FAIL. The dress is at least 3 sizes too big. Not just one or two sizes. If only they had used their own size chart... oh wait, then they might not have had the opportunity to squeeze more money out of me. Edit: I decided to push the rating up from 2 stars to 3 because, the truth is, despite the unpleasantness I described above, I've used David's Bridal for nearly everything for my wedding, from invitations to bridesmaids dresses to MY dress to reception favors. I've made it one of my toolbar favorites so the second I get an idea I can jump on the website and find out if David's has it. Hopefully on sale. read more

Ooooh kay, I get it now why everyone hates David's Bridal. 1) Their high turnover rate of staff where you never deal with the same consultant twice, so no one ever knows you/ your history. 2) Poorer Brides = Teen Brides with 3 screaming children in tow and texting husbands/boyfriends who will sit outside your changing room and make everything creepy and ghetto. (Am I in Target? Oh, no, I'm in a Bridal Salon.) 3) Absolutely clueless alterations at astronomical prices, including needing 2 weeks to steam a dress. Once your pre-order your dress, even if you have not finished payments and they haven't started making it yet, you can't change the size or color. They won't tell you that, but it's true. So if you plan to lose or gain weight and it's 6 months before the wedding, order the size you plan to be in 6 months. If you're on a budget and find your dream dress here, do what I did: Go here for the cheaper dress, get it, and run like hell to a great alterations person. I know of one in Ventura, CA who is awesome and completely reasonable, and who saved my dress and my budget. I came away happy. If you feel you want/need a bridal pampering or a Say Yes To the Dress experience, go get a pedicure or have a spa day, or else go somewhere else and spend thousands of dollars on a designer dress, put it on, and cry in front of a mirror. I was very happy with my wedding dress from David's Bridal. This experience can be very overwhelming, but the staff was helpful and I was impressed with how attentive they were. Now, I'll say again that I LOVED my wedding dress, but I really wish they had a bit more variety. I was really hoping to find something with a low back and there wasn't a single thing in that category. On the plus side, my dress was on sale (because it was supposed to have been the last one). I spent about $500 that day and walked out with my dress. Upon returning to pick up bridesmaid dresses I found my exact dress in the shop marked down even more. Even though I had purchased mine a while back I complained about being told that MY dress was the last in stock, and in turn, received the additional discount. This establishment was one of the worst experiences in customer service I have every had. I am a bridesmaid for my cousin's wedding and had to get fitted for our dress. First, I made an appointment on-line and confirmed on the phone. So I came in after work. There is a person at the front who looks up your information and then passes you off to a sales person. So, I get the rude, pissed sales woman who hasn't had a break from her shift in 6 hours! She already has 3 other people who she is assisting. (Picture one of Marg Simpson's sister's on the edge.) So, I am the one asking her the questions and searching for the style of the dress and the color etc. She's perturbed and doesn't have the dress in the color. So she pulls my size. Now, as we all know- bridesmaid dresses are not so true to size. Especially in my department. I am petite, slender, but have a chest. So after 15 minutes of trying to get someones attention, anyones attention from the dressing room...to figure out the sizing. Once everything is situated... She then gives me the song and dance that if I do NOT order today there is no chance that I would have the dress for the wedding, AND that she was going to charge me double for the alteration fee because the dress would not be here prior to 2 weeks before the wedding. I told her, I was going to see if the dress,color, and size was at a different David's Bridal and she completely took off. I had to hunt her down again to even look up some other store locations etc. Then she charged me $1.25 for a swatch of the color of the dress. Okay...now look, I know I am not a bride...which is cool! Totally not there yet! But if I were a bride going through this...what a bitter experience to an exciting event. I want to thank Sarah Ann Vail for being so great with me yesterday. This was my first visit ever, anywhere, to try on bridal dresses and I wasn't sure what to expect. I waited for a few minutes which was perfectly OK since it allowed me to look around (and there's lots to look at) and then the fun began. Sarah pulled a bunch of dresses from my favorites (I had marked a few dresses online, which saved us all a lot of time) and she also brought a few suggestions of her own, after getting a sense of my style, which I appreciated. She was incredibly nice, helpful, had a warm smile, and I just really felt welcome and taken care of. You're not going to get offered champagne here and the bathrooms aren't glamorous, but if you want that experience you can go to Vera Wang and pay thousands more dollars for your dress. The dresses here are beautiful and perfectly within my budget so I am happy! I'll update this review once I actually get my dress (and there's a good chance it will be here!) I bought a dress a couple months ago and they were so welcoming when I bought the dress I was very happy. I went in today and the vibe was really bad the girl who took my measurements was the only nice one there who helped me then i saw the alterations lady named Jo and she did her job but after I told her I just want the dress steamed she just left me there and didn't explain anything to me I felt like trash. i was walking around with my dress and I had to ask what's next do I leave the dress or what the F I do next they took the dress oh yeah you leave it here worst experience I spoke with the manager Mary I explain what happened and all she could say was sorry I left out the store didn't want to blow up I'm like no honey what can you do to make my experience better so I called back and she offered me a 10% off the next purchase no who is going to compensate the humiliation i felt just being left there in my dress and them not helping me take it off they helped me put it on clearly I can't off to many buttons on my back. Disorganized chaos with bad service to boot. I went in just by myself, an engaged male just poking my head in to see what they had and noone came to help me. 3 employees, 1 customer and me and nothing. I walked around to see what they had on the racks and everything was messy. I thought maybe i came on a bad day or something so I thought if I brought in my fiance they would definitely give her the right attention, wrong. Different staff and no help. I did notice as we were walking around looking at dresses that the customers helped two other couples after us which was odd because we had been there for 10 minutes. In any case we left and vowed not to give our business to them. Lucky for me I have other places to give my business to. As you can see by the other reviews I wasn't the only one. I had such a wonderful experience here! I guess I always pictured going in, getting fitted and trying things on, but did not expect the personal touch! First of all, Ashley K. is wonderful!! She is so sweet and genuine and made the whole experience fun, meaningful, and memorable! She got to know a little about me, what I was looking for, and was there every step of the way. Ashley helped someone else at the same time, but was so perfect at sharing the time that I felt like she was always there helping me out! Kelly, the manager, is also very sweet and fun. She made sure that we were well taken care of and was personally involved as well. One thing I love is that the dress I chose happened to be on major clearance (and hadn't even been tried on yet). I have some experience in sales and understand the need to up-sell, but neither Kelly nor Ashley pressured me into anything. They knew that was the dress for me and said, you are welcome, of course, to keep trying more on, but I think that's the one! That showed me how invested they were in me being happy with my choice, rather than just making a sale, and that meant a lot to me. A little fun story: I had found a dress on the site that I loved and was told when I called in that my size wasn't available anywhere in California. I showed Ashley the dress hoping they may have something similar, and she informed me they had it! Needless to say, that ended up being the one! It was so special being able to ring that bell and celebrate with the whole store. I loved this day and didn't know I would have such a special experience at a "chain store." I didn't think I'd find anything from here because I had my eyes set on this mermaid dress I found overseas with champagne underlay and capped sleeves. I was convinced this was the dress. Then I tried on dresses with capped sleeves and it hid my beautiful arms I've been working on so hard and it made me look boyish. So I continued with Silvia for a second time, with a proper appointment vs. walking in the first time and she really listens to your needs. After trying on 4 dresses, I found mine and discovered I'm thinner than I thought. Woo hoo! And I love everything about my dress, especially that it's within budget. Miracles do happen here! It was our Last day to try and find a beach wedding dress, that would require little to no alterations and WE DID! We came in at 2pm and Liz recommended a appointment to benefit the maximum experience. We came back at 3:30pm and by 4:15pm we say yes to a dress! Debbie was our stylist and immediately knew what Christa was looking for before Christa really knew what she was looking for b/c she'd tried on so many different styles from so many places. I think she became "wedding dress disoriented". Lol Even though Christa had a budget I didn't! You can't put a price on one of the most important happiest moments in your life! With no budget we ended up with a beautiful dress for only $99 !!! I was shocked that with no budget that the quality of even a dress for $99 at David's Bridal makes you look like a million bucks. Even though we found what we think was a bargain Debbie still treated us like a VIP client. We've been judge in stores and there's been people who lost on big sales (b/c I have no budget )had they treated us with the same respect as the people who wear their money. After we picked out the dress Debbie took it to the seamstress to fix a couple snags. Again treated like VIPs and only had a dress for $99. After all said and done we walked out spending a total of $138.00! My outfit cost more then her dress and she didn't even need alterations ! First of all, I know this has nothing to do with this particular location, but I must state this. I e-mailed David's Bridal through their website regarding being interested in setting up an appointment. After a few days of not hearing back, I resubmitted my request. The next day I received a phone call. In an attempt to schedule an appointment, the customer service representative said that because my name did not come up with my information, to "be on the safe side" she would transfer me directly to the store. I didn't really understand that, but I figured that speaking directly with somebody at the Burbank store would guarantee no issues with my appointment. I was wrong. The bride-to-be - my good friend - flew in Thursday afternoon. We arrived just before our 2:30pm scheduled appointment. We were told that her name was not on the list for Thursday. So we were already off to a bad start. The lady behind the desk said not to worry, and so-and-so would assist us. The bride-to-be and I already had a list of what we wanted. So we showed the associate, but I felt like she was disinterested. She told us where to browse through a few of the dresses, and she showed us in what general direction the dresses were that we liked (maybe just two or three). After finding a few dresses, my friend and I made our way to a fitting room - by ourselves - and waited for a sales associate to direct us. Finally, another lady - perhaps a manger? - approached us. I asked her if she could find another dress, but she said that she would get us started with a fitting room and then she would check back and find the dress. Okay... so she ran off, and still we waited for a fitting room. The remainder of the appointment involved me venturing to find the few dresses we had already researched. When an associate did go to get a dress, it took her five minutes before she returned. I understand how a store such as this can get a bit busy, especially since the number of people who come in without appointments is large (please - make an appointment). Honestly, I think they should make it mandatory to place appointments. If you come in without one, come back shortly in order to get helped. BUT, I had scheduled an appointment, and my friend was nowhere on the list. That was the most upsetting part. Also, I did not feel that the associates were truly trying to help - they were walking around, doing a million things. Either the store was understaffed or there were a large amount of people in there without appointments. Either way, the experience felt in no way personal. I don't think the world revolves around me, but I value good customer service - as well as organization - and David's Bridal simply does not have that. Too bad my friend is ordering her dresses through David's Bridal. I was so dismayed that I went through Alfred Angelo for dresses for my bridesmaids. During our appointment at Alfred Angelo (2 days after our David's Bridal "appointment") our sales associate was attentive and gave her opinions. Oh, and my name was on their schedule. i didn't have very high expectations for David's Bridal, but they managed to be below that. Admittedly, I came here on a Sunday with no appointment. The girl at the front said we could look around and took my name down, but then just kind of stopped talking and turn away mid-conversation. We stood their awkwardly for a few moments, then walked away. We were able to find several bridesmaid dresses in 2 and 4, so my friend and I shared a dressing room and tried them on. We weren't offered any assistance at all (again, no appointment on a weekend, but not even a "can we get a different size".. nothing). After we were done with that, we browsed through the wedding dresses. One sales person explained that the dresses run small, but that was about it. We selected a few, and went back to my dressing room. After I had tried on 4 dresses, we were told that we weren't allowed to try on wedding dresses. I had actually finished at this point, but it was interesting that no one cared to mention that until I already had on the 4th dress. I was trying on "ready to wear" types that weren't corseted, or required assistance getting into etc. Other than the non-existent customer service, the quality of the dresses seemed poor. This was the 5th bridal store I have been to, and the material just felt cheap. Lucky for me, I didn't find anything that I liked anyway, so I won't be back. read more

Everytime I've been here, they've been attentive and knowledgeable when I ask my 14 questions. I only have experience as a bridemaid, to be honest. However, when my friends in Indiana are getting married, it's easy for me to get a dress (hello national chain!). I'd rather drive to my local David's then fly back home just for a dress. Plus, many of the dress are quite cute. It's hard to actually shorten a bridemaid's dress and wear it again... but most of these dresses, you can. Or just get the tea length ones. The only reason they don't get the fantom 5th star would be the waits on the weekend. Unless you have an appointment on Saturdays, get ready to wait a bit. Quite popular, they are. read more

I came with my brother and best friend and we picked out like 6 or 7 dresses and the 3rd one I tried on was THE one, I didn't want a veil originally buy Dani found one that went perfect with the dress and when I tried it on it really completed the look. She was so helpful in ordering a new dress and helping out later when we showed up unexpectedly so my mom could see the dress even though she had a jillion other customers.
