After visiting two different David's Bridal locations, I was reluctant to try a third. The only reason why we came is because they had a a dress in stock that I wanted my daughter to try for her quinceanera. I called ahead to ask if they could hold it and they accepted. The service at this location far exceeds the other so cal locations. They were extremely accommodating and maybe this is because they didn't overbook their appointments like the other stores did. The girl that assisted us was very patient and helpful. She was great at navigating my daughter in the right direction and although my daughter was hesitant she LOVED her dress! The prices can be high for all items including dresses and wedding belts, but it's a retail store so I expected this. They also made paying over the phone very easy which was greatly appreciated. If you are looking to shop at a David's Bridal, this is your store. Don't bother going to the other locations. It was well worth the drive from the west side. Enjoy and happy shopping. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect at David's Bridal. I had heard that they had improved over the years, and I really wanted to narrow down what kind of dress I wanted-- shape, fabric, etc. And who knows, if I had found something I really liked, I might have gotten it which I was prepared for. One of my bridesmaids was in town for a visit so we went in on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. The girl at the front was very sweet and told us we could get in in about an hour, so we went and browsed Target and came back at our appointment time. She mentioned that weekdays were much more relaxed, which might be helpful for anyone trying to schedule an appointment. This is where it all went downhill. The consultant I had seemed nice at first, but she was very awkward about sizes measurements, etc. She pulled me over to the side and asked at a whisper what size I wore, and what bra size, etc. A little strange, but maybe she found it more polite. She brings the first dresses to try, along with a crinoline and the bra undergarment. While putting on the bra, I noticed that it was very snug, and uncomfortably so. It's shapewear, not a torture device.. right? I tried on one dress while wearing the snug bra but finally had to call uncle and get it off. My consultant said to me, "Well, a lot of girls are actually much bigger than they think they are." and went to get the next size up... Excuse me? As we were switching the sizes, I saw that the one she had put me in first was the complete wrong size-- no wonder it was uncomfortable!! My correct bra size fit quite nicely, thank you very much. As we were trying dresses on, I mentioned to her that I was liking things that hit the natural waist best, and she says "It's so nice when girls know what works for their bodies..." Um.. Ok.. I was a little frustrated that, as a very short person, I couldn't see how the dress would fit if it was shortened. I didn't see a pedestal to stand on, and she didn't offer one, so the dresses were completely overwhelming me. I did ask if I could see them without the crinoline, and she balked and said it would look weird. A few more comments about dresses fitting better when they are the correct size later, and I'm back in my regular clothes. The dress I really liked, and was actually considering purchasing was in a discontinued style, and she brought me over the computer to see if it could still be ordered. Now, bridal sizes are wonky and I knew that I might wear a larger size (number wise) than what I normally wear, but she TURNS her computer screen around to show me, pointing at the number, that "this size that you are" can't be ordered anymore. Well, you know what, that's ok because I'm not sure how many times you can backhandedly call me fat and bring attention to my weight during an hour long appointment. I'm not waifishly thin, but I am by no means a large person. And whether I am or not, her comments were completely inappropriate. In addition to all that, the store was dingy, there were hairs on the dresses, the shoes were horrifyingly uncomfortable and worst of all, the buzzing fluorescent lighting does no favors for anyone in a dressing room surrounded by mirrors. Loved the help this store provided! We came in with a very sensitive situation where the bride's mother passed and the date of the wedding was changed. The bride was given more time to rethink her entire wedding (including the color of her bridesmaid's dresses). The manager on staff, Ryan, was so helpful & kind. Got a call today from the store and the lady couldn't pronounce my name for beans - I mean, really, no where close. And English was clearly her first language, but seriously, if you're in the business if a primarily female-gendered customer base, have you never come across Melanie before? Mehhh-lehhhh-knee. Not MAH-lane or me-LAAAAAAYY-knee. Assuming it was a telemarketer, I told her she had the wrong number if she was looking for Malaine or Meline and hung up. Trying to report the number as spam, I google'd it up, and of course, up it came as DB. So, realizing that my BM dress is supposed to arrive tomorrow, I gave the store a call. How long do I hold? Not five minutes, not seven, not ten, but twelve minutes and change. Want proof? I took a picture with my phone of the clock running on my desk phone. And when someone FINALLY got back on the line and asked why hadn't I been helped with? Really lady? If I could fart through the phone I would have just to show you how dumb and rude that question was. At any rate, my dress is in and so help me god this is my last trip here. This is my "yelping style" - I only review if things are awesome or they suck. In this case its major suckage. I went into David's Bridal today on a Monday early afternoon with my fiance to try on a specific gown and maybe a few others if the consultant had any other ideas. The girl at the front was super sweet and they had the dress I wanted to try on. This is why they are getting 2 stars. Now let me explain why they are not getting any further stars. Tina, our consultant, was called to the front of the "salon," and was informed she was going to be assigned another bride. Tina informed the front desk girl she already had a bride and Tina was then told that everyone else had 2 brides as well and she was gonna have to swing it. Without making eye contact, introducing herself, or even a smile, she said, "let's head back," so we assumed she was talking to us and followed her. Now, listen, I get it, this ain't Kleinfeld's, I'm not stupid, but I knew from the moment that she saw my price range of $300-$500 that she was not interested in spending much time with me. She completely ignored my fiance. I showed her the dress I wanted, she said she'd bring a few others as well and I waited in a bra and underwear in the dressing room as told to. I started to get really bored and stuck my head out and saw there was dresses hanging there. "Babe are these mine?" "I have no clue, she just stuck them there." "Do you think I should wait?" "Just try them on!" "But I'm gonna need help and aren't they supposed to help you?" "Babe, I'm a guy, you're asking the wrong person." "Alright screw it." So thus began me trying on every dress by myself with my fiance coming in and helping my zip and figure out straps and everything. Meanwhile right across the way, I watched my consultant dote on the other bride while my fiance and I fended for ourselves. Eventually I got really tired of trying things on with no help and I would have liked to find more dresses, but getting her attention was obviously not going to be possible. I put my street clothes on, took pictures of the tags of the dresses I liked so I could either come back later or go to a different David's Bridal because I was irritated. Tina came over at that point and said, "well how are we?" I told her we were done and that I would come back when someone had time to actually help me. She just smiled and said, "ok." So yeah, it's kinda like the forever 21 of dresses. I'm totally not opposed and in fact I will most likely go back and get the dress, but from someone else. But I've worked retail. And regardless of what someones gonna spend, if someones a customer, treat them with respect. This consultant was not that busy the other bride and I were right across from one another and the way my fiance and I were ignored was ridiculous. The end! :) read more

I can't say enough about the help and care I have received from Sarah Ann Vail. I went to a number of 'high end' bridal shops before coming into David's Bridal. Nowhere else did I receive the help and knowledge and patience that was shared with me by Sarah Ann. Her knowledge of the dresses and inventory and what was possible to make the dress 'my own' was incredible. And she was a kind 'straight shooter' when it came to which dresses looked best. None of the, "Oh, you look beautiful!" no matter what dress I put on at the other places. My wedding is in Jan of 2022 so I am looking forward to her help and keen eye as I have my alterations appointment and finalize the look of my gown. This is ridiculous, my wife is currently trying to even find her dress with David's bridal and they won't answer her calls. They are supposed to be preserving her dress and instead they decide it's better to just lose the dress and not worry about her, she's 6 months pregnant and they are just ignoring her. She has a right to be mad and so do I as they keep saying they don't have her dress. Well we went to ups so we know we sent it to them and they just don't have the time to talk with us. The worst experience ever. I tried on 20+ bridesmaid dresses because they said that you can order them in different colors, but the sales lady neglected to tell me that ALL of the David's bridal dresses wouldn't come in the champagne color until May. She knew I needed the champagne color, she knew the wedding was in March, she just kept scanning each dress that I liked and telling me it wasn't available until May. Why didn't she just tell me they ALL weren't available till May? A complete waste of time. Plus, the whole place smelled like BO from dresses that have been tried hundreds of times mixed with the smell of sickly sweet perfumes. They were short-staffed and under-trained. It's honestly not the staff though. I think David's Bridal just sucks. I'm ordering my dress from JJ's Bridal. read more

I'm really confused seeing all the bad reviews... honestly I was there yesterday and I had an amazing experience! I hadn't heard very good things about David's Bridal in general... but I had heard that this one specifically was very good, and that's right! They had a very wide selection. I know it was mentioned in the reviews that by coming to David's Bridal, you lose on the "boutique experience"... Ok.. (1) No one told you that you have to ONLY come to David's bridal... (2) They have a MUCH wider selection than you would find at most boutiques... Whereas one boutique I was looking in to, said that it would take them 7-8 months to give me my dress, David's Bridal usually promises a 12-14 week time period until you get your dress, and they have such a wide selection that you may even find your size in store, and not have to order at all. One thing I also liked about David's Bridal, was that they offer a David's Bridal gift card where you can pay off your dress in 12 months starting after your wedding! I thought that was extremely helpful considering all the expenses that i have coming up. Additionally, they've partnered with Men's Warehouse and can get you great deals for the groom and groomsmen as well. Also, they gave me a 20% off offer for if my mom and grandma would like to purchase their dresses from here as well. They had everything- bridal dresses (obviously), dresses for the mother and grandmother, shoes, flower girl clothing and accessories, bridesmaids dresses and undergarments for the bride. Vera Wang actually has a collection that she exclusively sells in David's bridal. I absolutely loved it! I loved how professional the experience was... they gave us these cute stickers with our name and date written on them and put them in front of the doors to our rooms. they gave us this upper body piece with a built in bra and a petticoat to wear underneath. I really liked having my own room, because I know in some boutiques you're pretty much standing there half naked waiting for your dress to be brought- that didn't happen here, and i had the petticoat on and such, so i didn't feel as exposed. The prices were extremely reasonable. I was shocked. I was able to find A LOT of dresses under my budget... I was overwhelmed by all the choices! read more

My daughter and most of her wedding party had an appointment with Cazmere last weekend at David's Bridal in Burbank, CA. I'm so happy I was able to fly in for it. Cazmere asked some up-front questions of my daughter, took her measurements, and then got to work on wedding dress selections. My daughter tried on several, and they were all beautiful. We laughed and cried (happy tears) throughout the whole experience. We finally boiled it down to 4, then 3, then 2, and THE ONE was chosen. Adding the veil made it even more magical. I HIGHLY recommend Cazmere. She was fun, completely engaged, and so honest. The wedding party had time to choose their FABULOUS colors, and will be back to visit Cazmere soon. read more

A friend of mine referred me to this DB location because she bought her dress here and she raved about the experience and the price. I decided to make a bridal appointment for myself and a separate bridesmaids appointment right after for my girls. Now, unforeseen circumstances made us late for the appointment so I called to see if it would be better to reschedule or if it would be ok if we were late. The person I spoke with seemed very friendly and agreed to continue with the appointment. My MOH was able to get there on time and tried to check in but they wouldn't allow her to start looking around until the entire party was there. My MOH said one girl working was complaining about having to leave on time because the end of our appointment was the end of her shift. So when I went arrived, I could already sense the stylist was "done" for the day. She did not make the experience enjoyable at all and made me feel like I was more of a burden to be making her stay over her time. As we started getting more into the dresses, her frustration seemed to have subsided and her negative vibes lessened. When my appointment was over, she handed us off to another stylist for the bridesmaid appointment and her customer service was much more enjoyable. She asked if we received the bridal gift bag and a brochure and when we said no, she seemed surprised since, I'm assuming, every bride gets one. I found a dress I was in love with... but solely due to the experience of the first stylist, I decided not to purchase. So disappointed. read more

I had set the first appointment on Sunday. It was just my mom and I. Everyone was so helpful since the beginning. Deborah was the most patient person ever. I had a hard time between two dresses but she did not complain once. I was there for a few hours. Time flew too quick that I didn't keep track of time. I had a great experience at this location. Ladies, this is David's Bridal, not Kleinfelds. You need to come here with low(er) expectations. I'm an out of towner who came here with my bridesmaids including my MOH who is also a bride. We simply walked in without an appointment (I don't know if that's mandatory or not) and they had Christy accomodate us immediately. The service was excellent! She was willing to grab any dress we wanted and even allowed my MOH to try on the bridal gown she bought so we could see it. My bridesmaids vary in body shape and height so I wanted them to choose their own style of dress that flattered their body best. I like that I could just choose a color and they can pick out the style. The only con is that each fabric only came in a few selections so a "Marine" in one style would be a totally different shade as another "Marine" so that did make a little tough. I was a being a little indecisive with my bridesmaids dresses at first but never felt rushed to make a decision. In the end, we didn't make any purchases but did finalize our choices so we can order and pick up at our home store. I think Christy seemed a little disappointed that she spent all that time with us and didn't make an official purchase but since our weddings our next summer, none of us wanted to order too early. So my friends cousin came here last Saturday to choose a bridesmaids dress with her mom for a wedding we're both participating in. There were 5 styles we had to choose from. She is heavier set and there was one in particular she wanted to try. She said Deborah "helped" her with dresses but wasn't much help at all! She couldn't figure out how the wrap dress went on, so she asked Deborah. Deborah didn't know how, she didn't even try and left it at that. Not once did she reach out for help from one of her fellow associates. The cousin didn't insist and ended up getting a dress that Deborah and other employees pressured her into getting, saying it looked better than what the bride picked. Today myself, the bride and her cousin went back to exchange for a style the bride approved of. Horrible horrible experience! 1st, while there were not being many customers, our stylist (Elizabeth) was all over the place. I kept having to get dresses myself or looking for her constantly to find a different dress. 2nd, while looking for dresses, I saw and overheard the shaved head male worker (I believe his name was Anthony) kept rudely talking bad about his customers he was helping. So unprofessional! He would bad mouth them under his breath to Elizabeth as I overheard when I was by the dress racks. 3rd, once we finally picked a dress, we had to spend the amount in exchange. The dress was 154+ and the new dress was 100, so there was a difference needed to be spent on other items.. Elizabeth does not know how to do simple math or the concept of tax! She went on and on in circles trying to calculate an amount that ended up being wrong anyways and doesn't even know the tax rate of her own county! Finally the manager (Emily) helped us.. barley. She did what needed to be done, unprofessionally but done. I'm from the I.E. and would happily never return here! read more

I would give this place 4 stars for selection alone. They really had so much more than I ever thought they would and I found my dress the first time I walked in. It was the first one I put on, as a matter of fact. So, all in all, I enjoyed my David's Bridal experience. BUT. I had my alterations done at this store and it was, well, exactly what yo pay for. I was waiting for the bargain-ness to pop up and it did, with a cushion full of pins on her wrist. I had to go back 3 times to get my dress done. The first time I got it pinned and measured and that was actually pretty good. Mind you, I never saw that woman again. After that visit, I was left with an odd woman who really just kept biffing it, big time. Visit numero dos - they forgot to hem my slip at all - I found it bunched up in the bottom of my garment bag. I had found some loose beads on the first visit - they didn't fix them. There was a water spot from where they steamed the dress. The hem was also super uneven - I walked that dirty carpet hallway a few dozen times until we finally managed to pin it right. I am still convinced it was a little off. Visit number three - Beads are fixed. Hem is done. Water spot is gone. My sisters got great bridesmaid dresses and I loved that they could be on opposite sides of the country and still coordinate everything. read more

I despise the whole wedding dress b.s. where it's this unnecessary nightmare of a multi-hour commitment like buying a damn car and they won't leave you alone to shop in peace; yes by all means help but don't stick to me like a leech and force me into situations I don't want to be in. It is very, very off-putting. So after walking around and picking out a couple of fairly average dresses at David's, war broke out when I asked to be shown to the dressing rooms, and the employee there insisting I take a seat and fill out forms to 'register' so I could have a 'consultant' assigned to me first; here I was just wanting to try on a couple of dresses without it becoming a hostage situation! I said no thanks and took my business elsewhere. On the plus side, they seem to have a fairly decent range of dresses available for most occasions - but there are just too many negatives, they make the whole process too stressful by being pushy and inconsiderate. I also hate their no return, no exchange, no refund, might as well be no eating, no drinking, no walking, no talking, no breathing policy! Everything is final sale. Who needs that shit in this day and age?! I try to avoid the place as much as possible unless I am truly desperate. Okay, rant over. read more

Definition of necessary evil. First, they called me every day from having my number (big mistake, don't sign up for anything David's online and give them your number) to hound me to make an appointment to shop. Then when I went in to shop, my sister and I were late and were told we'd have to wait an hour. So, after the woman drunk on her own power and drowning in her own makeup at the front desk told me that it wouldn't matter if I was waiting there in the store or not, it would still be an hour, my sister and I went off to have mimosas and shake it off. Ten minutes later I get a call and they're asking me to come back because they now have a consultant for me!, I said no, I'm coming back in an hour like you said. Kiss my rear. So we went back in an hour and thank goodness, because it just so happened I got the best consultant evar. Her name is Cody and I heart her. She looked like Alanis Morissette and I'm more than okay with Alanis helping me pick out a wedding dress. She totally put me at ease, so much so that my no-fuss no-muss I-hate-shopping self got a dress that very day. Yay! But! They told me the dress would come in at the end of May. So perf! thought I, because April and May are insane-busy for me (I'm stage managing a play and it opens Sat. 14th). Guess when the dress actually came in? This week. Opening week. Along with "friendly reminder" emails to come pick up my dress because what am I, cRaZy?!?! for not wanting to drop everything, take a day off work (uh...can't) and go get my wedding dress the second it's available. So I thought, I'll give them a call and make an alterations appointment and let them know I can't come in and please hold the goddamn dress longer than the 14 days they threaten you with in the email. The woman I got on the line was ridiculous. While trying to make appointments she tried to get me to come in "now." I was like, I'm at work...I can't come in now. THIS IS WHY I'M CALLING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. "I didn't mean now now, I meant like this month." Facepalm. She tried to make me an appointment for "Sunday the 28th." The 28th is a Saturday. When I pointed this out, she was all kinds of confused. "I thought you wanted it on a Sunday?" "I do. Sunday is the 29th. I would like an appointment for Sunday the 29th." It was as though I was trying to chat with an "online specialist" at officedepot.com. God willing and the creek don't rise, I won't have a negative update to make. It's so sad, really, because I absolutely love my dress. But this place is awful. It's where brides go to become bridezillas. Ladies, the wedding industry wants us to be crazy bitches. It was my third time visiting David's Bridal after two other visits to a smaller location where I did not find any dresses that excite me. I came to the Burbank location upon hearing that they are a larger store and carry more selection as shown online. I came in with a list of dresses I researched online and wanted to try on, expecting to go through the routine and likely leave disappointed again. To my surprise, Emily the Sales Manager took the time to ask me about my wedding, visions for the big day and what I liked and didn't like on dresses. I did not experience the same type of service and attention to detail at the other location. This was important because I recently moved to the city and have no family or close girlfriends nearby who could come help me shop and give advice during such an important process. Emily and my stylist Kay stepped into that role for me and did an amazing job asking about and listening to my opinions. They also offered great suggestions on different ways to utilize accessories and what would be best in pictures. They were extremely thorough, patient and thoughtful throughout my visit. I highly recommend visiting the Burbank location if you're interested in David's Bridal and be sure to ask for Emily and Kay! read more

I made an appointment for 5:30 and arrived a couple mins early. I filled out a form and was directed to choose a pair of shoes to use when I try on the dresses. There were only 3 pairs of 5.5 size shoes and only one was the height I would consider wearing. Lisa came over and told me to pick some dresses from the catalogue and she would pull them out for me. I tagged 10 pages and she proceeded to pull them as I tried them on. She was super helpful and not pushy at all. Excellent customer service! Definitely ask for her if you come here. After trying on 12 dresses and having two other women help me I decided I was tired and wanted to go home. None of the dresses I tried on really wowed me, so Lisa told me about the Vera Wang collection that was coming in on Vday. I made an appointment to try on those dresses. read more

So I had been to the David's Bridal location at Pico Blvd and Monrovia but I"m so glad that I decided to come to this location. One the selection and variety of sizes so much better. I came with my bridesmaid on a Sat at 330pm with an appointment. First off I had already bought a dress on davidsbridal.com but I wasn't sure it was "the one." I asked them and they said it was ok to bring in to compare with my other favorite. We were seen by Debbie K. She was amazing! Debbie was fantastic she was doing double duty helping me and another bride. However she was quick, efficient, w/o sales pressure. At the other stores that was not the case. Usually I was kept waiting for long periods of time and had pressure at the end. I never felt that she was annoyed that I came in already with another dress. In the end I loved my Vera Wang White dress over any dresses in the store and she was fine with it. She got me the seamstress also came by and gave me a quote on the spot. I ended buying my shoes, undergarment and sash there. She gave me lots of coupons as I left for various discounts. Thank you Debbie K! read more

Make sure to let them know you want to "opt out" or you will automatically get spammed by wedding and honeymoon vultures. If you get phone calls telling you that you won a special honeymoon package, it's a scam, they just trick you into thinking you won something, but you end up paying for it. 2) THE PRICES KEEP CHANGING. Make sure you check online for your dress prices, they fluctuate. My dress was $499 when I tried it on at the store, then "magically" rose to $549 when I went to purchase it. Less than a week later and it is back down to $499 and they will not price adjust for you. 3) They try to SELL SELL SELL.. make sure you are aware, they will charge you for every thing that they can: extra for a garment bag (seriously?), extra to ship to your house (it's free if you order online), and they rushed me to make an appointment for alterations even though I didn't even have my dress yet. I wish I had bought my dress online instead. TIP: for DIY brides, use extra large safety pins to bustle up on your day! Works like a charm ;) read more

Shopping at David's Bridal is like going to Wal-Mart. You're forgoing customer service and expertise for bargain prices. The environment here doesn't inspire that tear jerking moment you see so often on TV when the bride to be comes out in the perfect wedding dress. If having this moment isn't important to you, then give David's Bridal a go. Your expectations are just low enough that your experience may not be so terrible. I would recommend coming to David's Bridal if you know what dress you want and or you're looking for a dress with a small budget. They always have seasonal sales so if you have time to wait, I would keep checking their website. I got my dress for $300 off the original price and just now I saw that the same dress is $600 off. Also if you don't like the person that's helping you ask for someone else. Even if you're not shopping at a bridal boutique, you at least deserve someone who will make helpful suggestions and say thank you when you do purchase a dress. read more

DONT GET ALTERATIONS DONE AT THE STORE!!!!! i had to get a bridesmaid dress there. it was an extremely odd length on me (skirt hit the middle of my knee?). all i needed was the hem stitched a bit shorter. they charge $45 plus tax for a simple stitch. of course you have to pay ahead of time. i come back 5 weeks later, yes 5 WEEKS, for a hem, mind you. of course the hem looks like utter shit, all you see is puckering and basically a line across the bottom of the skirt. it looks AWFUL. and i had to pay $45 plus tax for that god awful hem job. BOO to you davids bridal. TOTAL SCAM. go to your neighborhood tailor instead. the job couldnt be any worse and i doubt theyd charge you as much. read more

What a joke! My friend is the mother of the groom and went here thinking they would know what they were doing. wrong! Yes the prices are good, but the selection is poor and the service is even worse. She has had problems with alteration, which the alterations manager Jocelyn, could have cared less about. All I have to say is... ANTHONY! He is AMAZING!!! -- short version. Here are the wonderful details: I am the maid of honor in an upcoming wedding and went with the bride-to-be to find her dress... we started the day at a boutique with rude discouraging people... it was very disheartening and left us feeling as if we wouldn't be able to find a dress on time... (even though the wedding is two and a half months away) ... so anyways, we walked into David's Bridal totally expecting a generic, large chain, impersonal experience and what we found was the polar opposite. From the moment Anthony greeted us, our day completely turned around. His spirit, charisma, smile, suggestions, comments, problem-solving... etc, etc, etc. He helped my B2B find the perfect dress. He offered unique solutions to make the dress even BETTER... I didn't even know that was possible. And it doesnt stop there... the entire staff was extremely kind and helpful.. and the selection of dresses was surprisingly great!!! Absolutely gorgeous dresses everywhere... Anthony made our experience incredibly memorable.. in fact, SOLELY because of Anthony, I chose to drive out again the very next morning (I live in Huntington Beach - an hour away) just so that Anthony could help me pick my MOH dress. I wanted HIS expertise and fashion sense ;) Really, really, great. I never expected to feel like I had a personal stylist at David's Bridal. I will recommend this place to anyone and I definitely plan on visiting Anthony again one day for my own wedding dress! read more
