Last week, I had the pleasure of joining a friend as she searched for her wedding dress, and we had such a wonderful experience. Ariah was our consultant, and she was warm, attentive, and so much fun to work with. We showed her a photo of a dress the bride had tried on at another store, and she quickly found a very similar option. She was so skilled and thoughtful that it turned out to be the one. Although David's Bridal is not a boutique shop, they added special touches to make the experience feel celebratory, like ringing a bell when the bride found her dress. After my friend found her dress, Ariah brought over Ms. Marcia from alterations to help determine the best fit and size. Ms. Marcia was knowledgeable and gave the bride helpful tips to make sure the dress would fit beautifully and feel comfortable. The entire shopping experience was fun, smooth, and successful. We were even able to find all of our bridesmaid dresses during the same visit, which made the day even better. The staff at David's Bridal was friendly, helpful, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. There was plenty of parking, and the store had a great selection of special occasion dresses in addition to wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. If you don't wanna be stressed as bride, please go somewhere else now I'm stuck with a dress that does not fit me and the material is totally different than the store that I tried on and the dress literally cost me $2000. If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend's first bridal appointment was a complete disappointment. The consultant seemed like she didn't enjoy her job, had no energy, and made no effort to make the experience special. I understand the four-dress limit per hour, but the store was empty she easily could have let her try on a few more. No veil was offered, and she seemed confused about alterations and dress details. It not longer as fitted around the butt area like mermaids are supposed to be but I will Settle with it since everything else was able to be fixed! Savannah is amazing. She helped me every step of the way and was a joy to work with when picking out my dress and bridesmaids. I wish I could say that this whole experience has been great. I had to have my dress altered because they did not have my size. By the time it was altered I could have bought two dresses. It was insanely expensive. While I was having it altered I inquired about my junior bridesmaids dress. They had her information but somehow her dress was not ordered! Had I not inquired about it we would have never had a dress for her. I am getting married in less than a month and one of my bridesmaids still does not have her dress that was ordered over a month ago. I hope her dress arrives on time but my confidence level is not that high with this store. read more

As my future wife bought a dress from here. As the experience started off great, it has completely gone downhill, went for fitting and now the dress Doesn't fit, my fiancé actually lost 3 more pounds. They screwed the dress up now, their solution was to purchase another dress for 10% off and eat the other. So now it is 2 days from my wedding and she is still trying to get a solution. Let me also point out that there was less then 72 hours between last fitting and the manager had the nerve to tell my fiancé that she should be worried about her body changing so much quickly. You get what you pay for, I wish I would have saw there star rating before her going there. I am the sister of the bride who had a horrible experience. From the start they let us know to pick the dresses and they would have all the necessary sizes. The young woman working with us, Savanna was un-welcoming to say the least. We were recording but I can assure you, getting her in our video was the last thing we would do. As soon as she came back with the dresses she immediately asked if we were recoding and that she didn't want to be on camera which was fine. She acted as if she didn't want to be there. The way she spoke to my sister while she was "helping" her try on dresses was unacceptable. She didn't give my sister the necessary corset so the dresses she tried on didn't fit her the best they should. One of the dresses that my sister wanted to try on, they didn't have the necessary size even though they said they would and my sister inquired about what size she would need. Savanna not only spoke to my sister in a condescending way but she showed no interest in fitting her. After my beautiful sister came of the dressing room in the last dress, Savanna showed no interest in asking her questions about the dress. She was even playing with her hair while asking, and not caring. My sister let me know that she was un-comfortable and wanted to leave. Rather than let Savanna ruin our time, I went to request another bridal consultant. Not only did no one come out and apologize but the new bridal consultant seemed to only care about making a sale. We're not sure if we treated because of our race or because she simply didn't want to be on camera, either way that was UNACCEPTABLE. So if you are looking for a great experience where you don't have to worry about how they treat you, do NOT go to this store. read more

I may have to resort to online or one of these other places. The colors and quality weren't great either. Seemed cheap for the price. I called to ask if I could walk in to look at dresses. I was told I could but they didn't have availability for a bridal appointment. I get there and I'm greeted, asking how I can be help. I explain that I called ahead, was told there were no appointments available and I'm just going to look. They stated ok and said as long as the dress wasn't in a bag I would be fine. I ask can I use the dressing room and they say yes. So I'm walking around looking, picking up a few clearance dresses and I'm approached again asking if I need help. I say no I'm just looking, ask to try on dresses where I'm asked to hold on. They call someone up to the front, whisper in her ear in front of me and then turn to say to me she'll help you. It was very confusing and the staff was very unprofessional. I don't honk I'd visit this particular location again. read more

I cannot find where to post about their bridal dress preservation. But I wanted to post about it. My dress took up so Much space and since I got my dress from a David's bridal In Florida, I wanted to see if they did preservations, which they did. There was a promotion for $100 which is a great deal. You ordered the kit and it came wuickly and Included weasy instructions and your paid shipping ticket. It says that it can take up to 6 weeks but I got mine in two. You can add additional details And/or upgrade If you would like your names and date if you want to, I opted to not add anything. I definitely recommend using them for your dress preservation kit. read more

I am usually not the type of person to write reviews, but I just could not let this awful experience slide by. My bestfriend is using David's Bridal for her bridesmaids dresses, as we had made an appointment to go today to try on options for dresses. We were sent to look for and pick out dresses until a stylist was able to come and assist us. Danielle came up to us while we were browsing and helped us get into our fitting rooms. After coming out in the first dresses we had tried on, our bride was standing there with nobody near her. Our "stylist" had left to go to the front and we did not see her for the rest of our experience. Eventually, after about 30-45 minutes of us trying on and exchanging out dresses on our own...the manager of the store came up to check on us. She was very kind and we told her about us not having any help or assistance, and she ended up addressing the situation with Danielle right then and there. She helped us end our experience, but before we were going to check out, we had to be measured by the alterations specialist Alyshia. While she was measuring me, she decided that it was appropriate to mention that I had a "big ol' waist". I am a size 10-12, and shopping for clothes is already a vulnerable event for me. This changed my entire mood for the rest of the experience - and I am so disappointed that my bestfriend as well as her bridesmaids and I had to endure such inappropriate and unkind service. I will make sure to share this experience with other people and will rethink my choices if anyone I know will ever need bridal attire. read more

We had a 4:30 appointment for Bridesmaid dress shopping. I told my bridesmaids 4pm so they'd be on time, so some arrived at 3:30-3:45. Our stylists let them start trying on dresses early. This was already a plus in my book because there was a total of 10 needing to try on & the appointment was only for an hour. Luckily, it wasn't busy even though it was a Saturday, so we had Jackie & Bri all to ourselves. They were so personable, helpful & made the experience fun. There were some limitations with dress availability, but Jackie & Bri both worked hard researching what would look good & accommodating each of my bridesmaids. We were able to leave with everyone finding a dress! I couldn't be more satisfied with our experience. Both Jackie & Bri really cared about my vision & I truly appreciate all their help! read more

If I could zero stars I honestly would. I went to a Davis bridal in Atlanta and HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! But I went here to order a dress and from start to finish I felt unwelcome and disrespected. I wear a size 12 and I tried on a size 12 in the ATL location. The stylist told me a 12 would be too tight and recommended a size 16. I have a 33 inch waist so I know for sure a 16 would not fit. She was very unpleasant. I got to the register and when I asked for the estimate arrival the cashier said "I can tell you after the payment goes through" . The whole experience was a joke honestly. I can't believe the amount of nuisance I went through to get a bridesmaids dress. She didn't even look up the dress through the bride's name and phone number. I am just so disappointed I had to spend my money at a place where I felt unwanted. read more

Immediately upon entering (WITH an appointment), we were not greeted by anyone, and were left standing with several other parties by the door wondering who had been helped or not and whether anyone actually knew what we were there for as three women stood silently over a computer typing and making follow up calls to other bridal parties. Finally, we're told that Sandra will be our consultant and she'll help us find what we're looking for. She looks at us for a moment, we all smile (we're a small group of three EXTREMELY easy going women) and then she starts talking to someone else and simply walks away without a word to us. So at this point, we resign ourselves to the fact that this is going to be unpleasant, and sure enough, it was. She says "what are you looking for?" So, I show her a couple of options that I printed out that we all thought looked nice and would like to try. She tells me that they don't even have several of them because they're new, and all the rest are chiffon (which I'm not sure why she even said because we're not against chiffon and also because they're not chiffon). Then she says, "well go get some and let me know if you even find anything". Lovely. So helpful. So, to make a long story (slightly) shorter, we had zero service and nothing but attitude when we were being "helped" which left the bride and her two accompanying bridesmaids (who are BOTH getting married in the near future and will also need gowns and bridesmaid dresses) wanting to immediately leave and never return. I'd say to find another location, but I know from experience that you're not going to find a good David's Bridal in Charlotte. read more

I recently visited this location to search for a wedding dress. Rachel assisted me at both my initial and follow-up appointments. She was thoughtful in her suggestions and feedback, and even though she was busy, I felt like I had her full attention. I would highly recommend requesting her if making an appointment at this location! I'm subtracting one star for David's Bridal's lack of connectivity. Specials or discounts that are available on the website are not necessarily available in store and my experience is that management is not very enthusiastic about matching online offers. It's all one company; why do I have to pit the store against their own website? Additionally, estimates for delivery in store are much longer than estimated on the website. I can't blame this specific store for this, but I do blame management for not making the buying process in store as simple and transparent as the website. read more

Terrible. I went in trying on a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding I'll be in out of state. First of all, the store itself is just gross. It's outdated and looks dirty and uncared for. Since I knew what dress I needed to try on, I went to that section and looked for it. The dresses were torn, wrinkled, and looked terrible. Second of all, the customer service was abysmal. The girl at the front desk who checked us in was the only professional person there. She told us we would be helped shortly, and we waited there standing awkwardly while our "consultant" walked around and talked to her coworkers, not caring about her potential customers just standing there, waiting. When she finally took us to the dressing room, she just said "let me know if you need another size" and walked away. She never came back, even though she saw me trying the dress on and looking at it in the mirror. We left without buying anything, and I don't think anyone there cares. read more

The worst return policy in history. The policy states in order to receive a refund, the item has to be returned in 7 days. I ordered the dress from the warehouse, bought and paid for the item. 8 days later I get a call stating the dress had arrived at the store where I purchased it. I never seen the dress, touched it, tried it on or even had possession of the dress. The dress literally went from the warehouse to the store. I could not get a refund because I was over the 7 day policy. I told them I never had possession of the dress and they never called me until 8 days later to tell me the dress was at the store. I don't understand the return policy and the 7 days is a way to stick it to the customer. I will never shop here again and I do not recommend anyone else shop here either. There are better return policies at stores online. read more

Where do I begin... I had a pretty quick turnaround time for a dress which I understand is somewhat of a challenge. I shopped with DB on September 1st for a November 8th wedding. While dress shopping during a pandemic isn't ideal, DB made it that much harder by not letting us browse their selection. We were not allowed to touch anything which made it pretty difficult to find what I was looking for. I attempted to explain my vision and style and my stylist kept pulling different looks but I think due to our age difference and style difference, she just didn't really grasp what I was going for. We were told that I was only allowed to try 3-4 at a time but also overheard a different stylist tell another bride that they were allowed an unlimited amount of dresses at a time. I ended up trying on about 8 different dresses at my first visit. I came back for my second appointment a couple weeks later to narrow down the selection and make a decision. It was stressful and I felt pressured since we were that much closer to wedding day. I settled on a dress that was on sale and within my budget and decided to add a skirt with it too since I wasn't in love with the bottom of the original dress. This was not my own idea, it was something they had suggested to me since I didn't love the dress. They said it would be a quick and easy alteration. So I purchased both the dress and skirt. The dress and skirt arrived very quickly and I had to then pick up my dress to take home until my alterations appointment. I found it weird that instead of making my alterations appointment as soon as possible that they made me schedule it a few weeks before my wedding date. I expressed my concern that it would not be ready in time but they assured me it would be plenty of time to get it all done. I go to my first alterations appointment and I'm there for over 2 hours. It was long and tedious and just not really what I was expecting. Not to mention, not very cheap either. Things seem great and we schedule a follow up appointment to make sure the progress is going well. Two weeks later I go to that appointment and the top of my dress is too tight and the bottom hasn't even been started yet at this point. She assures me the bottom is the easiest part and will be a quick fix and she will take the top out half an inch so it's not so tight. Fast forward to the day I finally get to pick up my wedding dress, 5 days before the big day. I get a phone call 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment telling me they are "really busy today and a little backed up". They asked if I could come the next day to pick it up instead (4 days before my wedding) but I was already there. I agree to push the appointment back by 30 minutes. Turns out they were not busy or backed up, they were actually just still working on my dress. It wasn't done, not even close. I sat in a fitting room for over 30 minutes waiting to be spoken to by the alterations department. Finally someone comes out to explain to me that the stitching on the arms of my dress need to be done by hand and that she was still working on it. She was about half way done and it would be ready soon. I finally get to see my dress and try it on and at this point I just start laughing. There were pen marks on it, the skirt that they assured me was an easy add was stitched on crooked and did not line up with the zipper, you could see the stitching where it hooked onto the original dress, pieces of the pattern were missing and put back in incorrect places, and the pocket they made was backwards. Again, my wedding is less than a week away. They offered to refund my alterations and said we can go out and shop for a different dress. But again, not allowed to touch any of them. Very long story short, it just doesn't work out. I don't find something that is going to work for me and they really didn't give me many solutions to the problem that they had caused. My day was saved by Savvy Bridal Boutique. They were absolutely amazing from start to finish. GO THERE! read more

I had been to this location once in high school to buy a prom dress and the second time I had been was this past weekend. Our group had an appointment to try on (and find) our bridesmaid dresses. The bride said she wasn't sure of the style but knew what color she wanted. Our group has some thin women and beautiful full figured women too! One thing I noticed is that the store could benefit from being well stalked with sizes for full figured ladies! There were plenty of styles that the bride liked, but since all of the sizes weren't available we couldn't all try the same style of dress on which was one of the reason we were unable to find (and settle) on a dress. The customer service could have been a little better. It was the end of the night and I'm sure our helper had a long day, but little things could've been done to improve the experience. It would've been nice for our helper to have picked one dress from each style and hung it up for the bride to see and choose from. Not every style in the davids bridal collection was in the color that the bride wanted. Some of us tried on those dresses (not knowing it couldn't be ordered in the desired color). After we put it in our helped then told us the dress doesn't come in the color we wanted. Knowing exactly what dresses we could choose from would have decreased our time of searching and wasting our time trying on dresses we couldn't order. Also, we did not know the store closed at 7:30pm but it would've been nice to get a 15 minute heads up! Instead our helper came over to us at 7:40 and said "you need to choose what you want because we closed at 7:30". It definitely caught us off guard. Ultimately, the customer service wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. Overall, I'm not a fan of davids bridal for bridesmaid shopping. Maybe a brides experience is better! I also think many styles in their "collection" of bridesmaid dresses are not flattering on any women's figure. You can find nicer dresses around Charlotte for a better price OR the same price but better quality. The store was clean and organized and is in a great location. read more

(It was booked weeks ago) They tried to offer to reschedule but guess what my bridesmaids flew into town just for this so that doesn't work. On all occasions that I have been in the store with my daughters bridal party and floor girls, the staff have been very rude and quite frankly unkind. I'm not even going to waste my time sharing the experiences as it's a waste of time. All I can share is that I will never return and I will be sure to let my friends and family know that this store (chain) is not the spot to purchase wedding apparel. Staff is really nice here I just relocated from Los Angeles. I walked in to ask about my dress and the zipper being stuck was told to bring it in and they would fix it customer service is great here. They greet you when you walk in, the staff appearance is very professional and clean...Reminds me of the Ontario, CA location. I visited David's Bridal Northlake location about two weeks ago. I was told that I would receive an email with all of my Wedding dress selections. However, I never got an email and when I called I spoke to a rep who said that she could not find my info, she then found it but was only showing one dress, a veil, under garment and a tiara. Where are the other dresses I tried on?!? I'm completely annoyed!!! I then called spoke to manager by the name of Michelle, who stated she would call me back and also email me. I never heard back from the manager and had to call yet again. The lack of professionalism is a shame and can totally ruin someone special day. read more

This was a freaking joke. I took my maid of honor here, with an appointment, to look at some dresses for the bridesmaids. We walked in, signed in, and were told to browse and someone would meet us shortly. The lady who met us was the worst customer service individual I think I've seen. She told us we could choose 3 styles, told us our dressing room number and then just walked away. We didn't see her again and still hadn't by the time we finished trying those 3. So I went and found more and was trying to put those away when I was approached rudely by another employee who took the dresses to put them away. From my future wife and I during our visit to this location: 1. No one greeted any of my family that I took along. 2. Went shopping for bridesmaid dresses, Sandra L was rude right from the start. Sandra also pretended that my maid of honor and future husband did not exist, which they were with me the whole time. 3. She did not even ask what type of dresses we were looking for. She just pulled random dresses off the rack. Sandra constantly interjected that my bridesmaid was bigger than what size we thought she was. She was negative the whole time, 4. If you are black, Sandra will help you with a smile, if you are not, she makes you think that you are bothering her. 5. Manager did not nothing to help the situation. 6. About 2 months ago, I visited the location in Pineville, NC to try on a bridesmaid dress. They didn't have my size in stock to try on. I called again today to see if maybe they received one. The lady put me on hold, looked through all of the dresses and said they didn't. So I called the Northlake location. I was immediately put on hold then someone picked up and said Hello (not very nice). I said I was looking for a specific dress, gave her my dress number and she said yes we have them here. I explained I needed a specific size, to try on, and she said oh we don't know that, we'd have to go back there and look through them.... ummmm ok. If a customer walks in to try on a dress, that's what they have to do, go back and look for the size. What's the difference if I call to check before I drive 30 minutes there?
