I made an appointment weeks in advance and i was put in a room next to the bathroom so i had to keep moving for staff and people who also kept stepping on any dress i was wearing. Screaming kids running around everywhere and men in the dressing room area. The girl and who i think was her boss kept bringing me dresses that were not even close to what i asked for and she didnt seem to know how to clip the back of my dress and seemed very overwhelmed and kept rushing me through my appointment. Making an appointment was very pointless. That was my first time trying on wedding dresses and it was horrible. Btw looking at your watch multiple times and telling me how much time i have is rude when you wasted alot of my time bringing me styles of dresses i didnt ask for. I would never recommend this place for a wedding dress. I got my dress at Luxeredux and the appointment was wonderful completely different from the nightmare at this place. read more

I recently faced an issue with the management at the Sawmill location. Under which the attention and customer service were terrible. Fortunately, today, the issue was brought to the attention of the district manager, in which she took care of. She was extremely and sincerely apologetic for the actions of the management and assured me that this would be brought to their attention. The DM went as far as giving me her cell phone number to call her back, it was clear that this issue was going to be taken care of and made this issue her priority to fix. read more

Run AWAY!! Do NOT go to this David's Bridal. Where do I start? First I am by NO means a bridezilla.. I went with my mom to try on dresses for my wedding in June..we actually had a wonderful consultant(Christine) and i found my dream dress, got a David's bridal card, and left feeling like the process was running pretty smoothly. So, I scheduled to have my bridesmaids come to try on dresses, with the same consultant. Due to a busy day they asked us to go with another consultant who didn't have a bride. Sure, that is no big deal, right. Well, when she rolled her eyes when she found out what she was doing I knew something was wrong. That was only the beginning...she ignored us the ENTIRE time. She was supposed to be finding the dresses and size for my friend but didn't. She told me to look around and went off chatting with her friend. We had to ask her for a bra but ended up asking someone else because she was no where to be found. And when we could find her she was always indignant and condescending. Well, I had gone through all the dresses and found the best one, which took about an hour, we took the dress to the register to buy it and it was never in the color we wanted..let me rephrase..she knew an hour prior we wanted black and she waited to tell us it wasn't made in black when we got to the register. THEN made it seem like a hassle we were going to be looking again. She was HORRIBLE! After another hour we settled for another dress we asked someone else to check to see if it was available. When we came back with another bridesmaid i quickly snatched the original consultant, Christine, and she again was amazing and helpful. But, the the evil consultant wanted commission for the dresses and started an argument in the building where I had to speak to the manager and explain my experience. After the embarrassing cat fight my bride maids were set and all that needed to happen was me get my dress. HA!! Well, I got it..was never advised of the additional back order, and when I canceled my alterations apt because the dress was not going to be in, based on their information, the alterations woman was nasty to me. Then for some reason was surprised when I decided not to reschedule. Well, the dress arrived..2 sizes too big!! Now, I cannot have a dress that fits because my size will take another 6 weeks to get in and I get married next weekend. No apologies, no compensation, no returns. Aside from Christine ...I HATE DAVID'S BRIDAL..this isn't going to ruin my wedding, I wont let it, but it really has aggravated me. I can see my inner bridezilla dying to cause a scene at that store, but they thrive on that negative vibe. My honest opinion..find someone else to make your dress online, go to a smaller, local boutique, DON'T go to David's Bridal. The added stress is simply NOT WORTH IT! read more

DAVIDS BRIDAL SAWMILL ROAD DUBLIN OHIO. Worst experience ever. I'm at a scheduled appointment trying on Bridesmaid dresses that the bride has chosen. A fitting room opens up beside ours, which 8 of us are trying to share. The persin using it says "Hey I'm done go on in" I go in and am half way throgh getting the dress on when the door is flug open by the sales lady helping both of the appointments mine and the bride who told me to use her room. The sales lady then proceeds to YELL at me for being in the fitting room and says I'm not suppose to be in there as the rooms are reserved for appointments, etc... all while the door is open and im standing there in my underware. She continues to berate me even though I've asked her to close the door politely. She goes on and on and finally closes the door. I come out, dressed finally, and wait to use our dressing room while the other room sits completely empty. The sales lady isn't anywhere to be found the other bride is waiting and comes over and apoligizes to me as she cant believe what happened. She then tells me that they got yelled at too for taking their dresses out of the fitting room and hanging them on a return to shelf rack... All in all, will purchase bridesmaid gown at different store and strongly recommend different location to anyone who is consdidering Davids Bridal. If you must go there avoid Marie. read more

I have mixed feelings about David's Bridal. Let me lay them out here: The good: -They have tons of dresses and options in tons of sizes. -They often have sales. -They keep a lot of their dresses in stock in the back so you can buy it and have it in hand in the same day. The bad: -Since everyone knows the name, they are always packed and insane. This means you don't get quite the personal experience you hope for and feel rushed for your entire visit. -The dresses aren't always super high quality. This means you (sometimes) get what you paid for or (occasionally) get way less than you paid for. My experience was a bit insane. I walked in the door to find hordes of people hanging around, blocking my entrance, being rude, just generally being awful (thank goodness they were only other clients and their excessively huge entourages). When I was able to make my way to the reception desk a very kind youngish guy pointed us in the right direction, apologized for the insanity, and paged my consultant. My consultant was nice - though she seemed to not listen so well - and helped find me some dresses to try on. Since she hadn't listened to well, she brought me the wrong size undergarments (because 40DDD is NOT the same as 38D) and then blamed me for the mix up *facepalm*. That chaffed me a little bit but I let it go thinking maybe it was just too loud. The dresses I tried on were all very nice but none of them were particularly me. But when I found one I actually rather liked, instead of listening to me say I needed time to think, she got aggressive about getting me to buy it right that instant. She pulled several managers over at various times to do the same. It was really annoying. I know they work on commission (partly) and I know that some styles quickly leave, but really? A wedding dress is a big, expensive, personal purchase and trying to force me to buy one I honestly feel I need time to think on is not the way to get me to write a big fat check (or swipe a debit card, as the case me be). I'm sorry. That's just the way it is. So, in terms of David's Bridals I've been to in my day, this one is pretty good to slightly above average. I'm on the hunt for my wedding dress & was convinced I would find it here. I was prepared - I made an appointment & brought pictures of dresses I liked. I'm pretty sure I offended my consultant (Chrissy?) when I said I didn't do lace, tons of beading, and definitely wanted to stay away from tulle. She brought me a few dresses & I went to work. The first dress I tried on I liked the style, but the actual fabric felt more like a dish towel than a wedding dress. She quickly pulled a few dresses out of my room when I said I didn't like the fabric. I found another that I liked the front, but not the back. After the second dress, I never saw the consultant again. I think she could tell that I wasn't going to buy anything and didn't feel like wasting her time. I tried on the rest of my dresses and left without another word from her. My trip was a success in that I now know I will not find a dress there. I know I would have regretted not going and convinced myself that I was spending too much. David's Bridal is like Old Navy - it's inexpensive, oftentimes cheap handiwork, but once in a while you'll find something you really like there. I could see how someone who was looking for a more traditional bridal look could find their dream dress, it just wasn't for me. read more

So, I was in the market for a bridesmaid dress, At virtually the last minute. The bride lives in Nashville (Hi Claire!), so we've been shopping long distance. We had found a few dresses at David's that we liked but ended up buying a dress from another store. To be mild, that dress didn't work out. So, I popped into David's on a Friday afternoon. Without an appointment. I waited about 10-15 minutes for a consultant to come out and meet me. I took advantage of the time to look around and grab some things off the racks. My consultant found me and we got started. She was incredibly patient, as dress selection via text message is slow and problematic. She was also incredibly helpful. With our tight deadline, our options were a little limited. She took a lot of time checking on stock and what colors/dresses they could get in by the wedding. And between the masses of text messages between me and the bride, and her research we not only found the dress but we got the color we wanted too! It wasn't at that store but it was at a store near the bride. Even though I didn't walk out of there with my dress, that consultant really gave me her full attention and support... If I were to get married, I wouldn't hesitant to use David's Bridal again for at least my bridesmaid dress. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at David's. My wedding is in June, so we ordered all the bridesmaids' dresses in January. The dresses just came in, and they are too small for most of my bridesmaids. After talking with them, I discovered that the sales person they worked with told them to order a size smaller than they would normally wear, even though online it says this particular dress runs small. Two of the bridesmaids also had defects on their dresses and when they mentioned it they were blown off. Now it is too late to do anything about it, and I'm at a loss. Many of my girls are being forced to buy yet another expensive dress, and they're not all going to match. I also purchased my wedding gown at David's with similar results. Although I mentioned numerous times to the salesperson that I am large chested and was very concerned about being able to fit into the top of my dress, the dress they ordered me was way too small. I suspect it is company policy to pressure girls into buying dresses that are too small so they're forced to pay extra for alterations. Moral of the story: ladies, if you're being pressured to buy a dress a size too small, don't do it! Also, if anyone from David's read these, please contact me as you have essentially ruined my wedding. read more

I went to David's Bridal to get my wedding gown. After 30 days I went back and found a different dress that I liked much more than the one I had purchased. The new dress cost more money and my old dress was still in stock at the original price but management refused to allow me to upgrade my dress, although they would be making more money. End of that story. So I took my dress in to get altered and waited 45 minutes AFTER my appointment time to be seen. Once I brought it to their attention, the girl was surprised that I had not been helped yet. They forgot about me and my appointment and I would have been waiting a lot longer had I not brought it to their attention. However, Kathleen did a good job looking at what they pulled and what I marked in the book for me to try on. Kathleen was a big ball of energy. Had the displeasure of being in your Dublin, OH store today. First of all my soon to be daughter in-law had a 12:30 appointment, which they seemed totally unprepared for. The young lady (Sam) finally met us and ushered us over to a rack of dresses, told the young ladies to look the dresses pick out the ones they liked, then proceeded to disappear for at least 20 minutes without even advising where she was going. When we finally were blessed with her reappearance, she seemed so frazzled and slightly disinterested. The dresses were picked out and she went to grab the sizes the ladies needed. We had to wander around looking for the dressing room assigned to us. The store was super crowded, I guess because the "sale" going on. We finally found the room, with no help of your associates. The dresses were given to our ladies and we were told, so sorry but we only have 1 room for you, so you can share and what not. Your consultant once again advised she needed to leave us to finish up with a BRIDE. OMG, are you kidding me...you have a consultant trying to handle 2 appointments at once and one of them is actually buying her wedding dress. My daughter in-law decides on the perfect dress for her bridesmaids. Our consultant finds us once again, we advise of the dress. NOW, comes the most ridiculous part to the day........The consultant new the color we were looking for BEFORE the dresses were even pulled from the rack--keep this in mind. So, the consultant is doing her thing on her little i-pad and then proceeds to tell us that the dresses will not be in until AFTER the wedding, too bad so sad, the perfect dress you just picked out, you can't have. Why on Gods green earth did this consultant even let us try on this dress if it was not going to be available? What kind of service was this? As if this was not bad enough, our consultant says (after her "manager" walks away). Look, I'm not supposed to tell you this but, you can get these dresses on line and they will be here well before the wedding. Also, I'm going to give you the special code so you can still get the discount. Thinking that our day was not ruined, my daughter in-law goes online at home only to find out the dresses cannot be ordered online. She was devastated. Literally the worst experience ever and your consultants did not care one bit. I will be posting as many negative posts as I can to warn everyone how horrible your store is. You have turned what should have been a fabulous afternoon into a freaking nightmare. read more

But I found a dress that I had seen on their website and it was 20% cheaper than even on the website when I found it! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5, is that I'm waiting to see how the alterations are when I try it on in about 3 weeks, but I'm sure it will look great! Five stars for Alexis, three for the store. We needed to find a budget-friendly homecoming dress quickly. Upon entering, there was a big cluster of about 15-20 people standing by the front door. There was something that looked like a greeter's desk being blocked by all the people, but being a first-time customer, I (and apparently everyone else) had no idea what to do. A sign would have been helpful. I had to speak up for everyone to see if we had to wait in a line, or sign in, or if we should have made an appointment. You can go in without an appointment, but if you need a lot of time, you better make one ahead of time, especially if it's a Saturday. Now we know. We had been doing housework and weren't dressed in our finest. The lady who checked us in and the cashier, gave us VERY rude stares. Wow. Way to make my first trip here welcoming... All we wanted to do was look at the dresses, maybe try one on if there was something my daughter liked. We found a few things and then Alexis was assigned to help us. She was so great. She treated us with kindness, despite being in our work clothes, and really took the time to figure out what my kid wanted. She knew the store's stock well and made the perfect dress suggestion and size within our budget. My daughter and I were very impressed with her helpfulness, product knowledge and customer service. With Kristine's help we fould the dress for my neice. We meet with the seamstress Catherine who was great and answered our questions and assured us that the alterations were reasonable and would be no problem. I'm getting married on a tight timeline, and was very stressed about finding a wedding dress in time. One of the major advantages of David's Bridal is that you can find nice dresses in a short timeframe. I found a lovely dress and am very happy. The best part of my appointment, however, was my consultant, Sarah Taylor. I had gone to another boutique the day before, and essentially walked out of the appointment because the consultant was rude to me, my friends, and my mother. Sarah, on the other hand, was incredibly wonderful to work with. She was sweet, patient, and did not mind that my mother was walking around the store pulling more dresses. She even stayed after the store closed so I could keep trying on dresses. I was nervous that I would not have the "bridal" experience at David's, but I actually had an incredible bridal experience. The customer services is horrible especially if they make commission only. I showed up early, did not get a room for my bridesmaids for over an hour, they shoved 4 bridesmaid in a tiny dressing and after trying on 2 dresses, told me that I would have to make another appointment because we were there for an hour and half ( we had been in the room for 25 mins) she was not helpful at all and rude. Just a tip. Schedule less appointments if you can't provide excellent customer service. They are receiving 2 stars for price and selection. read more

I must admit I was really nervous about going to David's Bridal to shop for my bridal gown. After numerous things people have said poorly about it and the bad reviews on here I was nothing but skeptical. However, I had the chance to work with OLIVIA and she was just amazing. She was very patient despite the busy Saturday and I never felt rushed or like I was inconveniencing her. She did a great job of picking out dresses that I loved and looked great for my body type! I would work with Olivia if you can! The only thing that left me with a bad taste in my mouth was the phone call to confirm my appointment. They not only told me that my consultant would be working with multiple people at once, but also that their may not be seating for the group coming with me. I felt like I was inconveniencing them before I even got there, thank goodness for Olivia!! I would say avoid Saturdays if possible and if you can't, schedule your appointment as early as you can because it will become a mad house very quickly! read more

We had a very sad experience at this location. We had a 10:30 appointment. I had a specific set of dresses that I saw online to try on. They only had 2 of the 6 dresses in store. It was the first place I went to try on dresses and honestly I was nervous. I have had bad experiences in the past with a friend's fittings and have never been the dressy type. I went into my fitting with no idea of what kind of style I wanted and about 6 or so dresses I wanted to try on. Hearing what I have heard about David's I was expecting my consultant to get furious with me. I'm just going to say that it all depends on who you get that day. My consultant was wonderful. She didn't belittle my choices or seem frustrated at any point with me. Of course the prettiest dress to her was the most expensive. Beyond that she really just stood back and offered no real comments good or bad. The only major problem I had with the whole process was trying on a petite sized dress. I kind of wish before hand she had told me it was petite and in the wrong size. It looked so horrible on me that I probably wouldn't try the dress on again even in my own size. I got this wonderful girl named Jenn O. who helped us out with finding something and within a hour I was walking out with not only a dress for my daughter but also my wedding dress. I then went back a few weeks later with my three older daughters to find their dresses and let me say when you take four girls to a dress store it just a adventure in itself. I not only got Jenn again but she was great with the girls. I have two that just love dresses and one that doesn't. She picked out some dresses for them to try on and they finally all agreed on one after hour of dress hoping. I give Jenn O. some guts for working with us and making our experience wonderful. I went here on a Saturday morning to look for a prom dress. Yes I know, that's a popular day for this so I was prepared for it to be busy anyways. When we walked in, an older lady was standing at the podium and asked what I was there for, I said prom dress shopping and she said okay it's about an hour wait to try them on but go ahead and I said okay! I am a very picky person but I actually found some dresses that I loved and was so excited to try them on! This is actually the only reason i'm actually giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because they did have really pretty dresses. While walking around for approximately 30 minutes I had found some dresses and was ready to try them on. We walked up to the same lady and a few other employees at the podium and asked "How will we be able to try them on, do we need to put our name on a list or anything?" This was confusing because of how unorganized it was. The lady proceeded to tell us that "Well it's an hour wait". We said "okay but how do we go about this so that we know when it's our turn?" That is when she was like "well yeah I can take your name down." Which doesn't make sense at all because you would think that when we first came in she would have taken our names since we had already been there for half of the time she said we needed to wait. As we were waiting there's nowhere to sit or anything, so we were walking aimlessly waiting for an employee to find us and tell us a room was available. After almost an hour then of being there, the same lady came up to us and told us that they don't have time for us today and need to leave. This was an awful waste of my time and I can't believe how unorganized and rude they were. Hopefully they figure it out so they don't lose business. Also, when we were leaving more girls were coming in to look for prom dresses but they didn't say anything to them either. read more

I made an appointment to try on dresses at a bridal show in Columbus on 1/13/18 for a 12:00 appointment on Saturday 1/27/18. I understand weekends are busy times for the store, however, I felt as if the store was extremely crowded during my appointment time. I was crammed into a corner next to a hallway by the bathroom to try on wedding dresses. It was so busy and jam-packed my family and friends that came with me had to sit on the floor while I tried them on. It was hard to get to my fitting room because I had to squeeze past people and I had to continuously move out of the way of people going down the hallway. There were people trying on prom dresses who were in the rooms with the stages. I was told "everyone gets a turn on the stage" and I would have to wait. I was able to get on the stage but kept having to move to accommodate those who were going in and out of the dressing rooms. I did not feel special AT ALL. The woman who helped me was nice, but it doesn't help that I didn't feel special and I felt rushed. Needless to say, I did not purchase a dress from you. read more

I got engaged on December 24th, 2015, and immediately booked an appointment to go wedding dress shopping at this David's Bridal location. 1) Appointment was made on January 9th, 2016 for February 27th, 2016 at 2 pm. When I walked into the store at 1:50 (10 minutes before the appt), it was literally crawling with people. I completely understood that it was a Saturday and was going to be busy. What I did not expect was for the staff to make you feel as if it was a problem that a bride had walked in their doors, especially being a David's BRIDAL. Myself, my family and my friends were told that we should walk around and pick out ONLY 3 dresses to start with and put them aside until a consultant would be free to assist us. In the time that we searched and looked around and put dresses aside, we watched 5-6 walks-in honored before those of us who had scheduled appointments. Strike 1. 2) Once a consultant was free (note* at this point it was 2:40 pm, and it was only after I had waited long enough, walked up to the front and asked for a consultant) we were finally ushered to a room, in the corner, no seating for friends or family, surrounded by young ladies in prom dresses, who I had to weave through in order to even show my family the dress I had on. My consultant was clearly overbooked/overworked, as she had 6 young ladies who were searching for a prom dress and then myself. During our time at David's we got wind that they had booked 21-30 brides for 15 consultants, and that was not including the walk-ins. My sister had to help me get into the dresses, and I saw my consultant for a total of 4 minutes, and in that time period, I'm sure it had to do with the overbooking, she did not grasp my style, what I was looking for, or help to search/recommend any dresses. Strike 2. 3) The meager 3 dresses that I had put aside at the beginning of the appointment were somehow lost in all of the chaos (hmmm...imagine that?), there was no order, my family was made to feel like an inconvenience for being present. I am sure that the brides out there can all agree, that this type of treatment just plain stinks on what should be the funnest day searching for the dream dress to walk down the aisle to the man you love, and do it all surrounded by family/friends. If i could give this 0 stars, i would. Horrible experience. I have had a wish list made for a month (so getting what i wanted to try on, should not have been a problem). I had to cancel the January appointment due to snow storm. So for my feb6th appt, I got there for my appointment at 230pm (appt was at 3). The place was packed as expected. I was instructed to pick out 3 dresses and was told my consultant would be picking out from my wish list. I didn't mind the waiting. I know I'm not the only person on the planet. I'm not a bridezilla. I like simple looks. So the consultant left me to try on the 3 i picked out, and told me she would go get the 1s from my list. So, 20 minutes later, after trying on the 3 i didn't like, my friend had to hunt the consultant down and she seemed surprised i wanted to try on the from my list. We thought she was getting them? So the consultant came back and wanted to know what 3 from my list of 13 did i want added. I showed her. 15 minutes later, she came back and with 3 almost identical dresses, that were not on my list and i didn't want to try on. I tried them on and 1 was ok. The other 2, absolute no. All were strapless which i had selected ones with some strap or sleeve. On 1 dress, she referred to the waist line by the wrong name and on another, tried to put a sash on it when it wasn't going to work. After that, she got off the platform, and walked off. Not another word to us. Just left. So i wanted out of the dress, we went back to the dressing room, waited another 15 minutes and finally decided to get dressed. My friend tried to find the consultant, couldn't locate her. I asked my friend of this meant the appointment was over. We agreed that apparently it was. I got dressed and tried not to cry on the way out the door. I had confirmed this appointment and when i confirmed this appointment, explained i was a plus size with my size so that i could have a selection. I came in with no budget and was even prepared to buy a reception dress, veil, undergarments, the whole 10 yards. And to be treated like i didn't matter, not even a communication. My friend told the consultant on the 1 that was ok to go ahead and add it to my list in the event i wanted to purchase it later on line, i knew what i was looking at, as of today, it still hasn't been added. If someone from Davids Bridal reads this, please do not respond about your staffing issues, or consultants working with multiple brides at the same time. Those are not my issues. My issues are that i was treated like crap, i had a consultant who did not want to meet me half way and at least show me something to a similar style i had chosen and my consultant turned her back to me and walked away without another word. Unfortunately for your stores, my friend is very involved with people like me, with no budget, and the way your consultant treated us, she has put the word out that this is not the place to go. read more

I found my dress the first visit here. The staff was helpful and made things very easy. I ordered my dress and accessories that day as well and they informed me right away when they arrived. Very pleased. read more

I would not recommend this location for a bridal gown. My friend fell in love with her dress. She wanted the dress in white and they said it would come in white and the mesh material would still be the same nude color that was on the ivory dress she tried on. Her gown arrived a few weeks later, the dress was white but also the mesh around the dress was white, this is not what she wanted. She wanted a white gown with nude colored mesh. They told her the dress did not come like that, as her stylist originally told her. She settled for the ivory dress because she loved it so much. They gave her the dress that was on the rack vs ordering a new one for her. She change her wedding colors to incorporate the ivory vs the white. The dress that she went home with that day had snags in it and missing buttons. We are now 5 days from the day she will get married. She picked up her dress the alterations were not correct. She dropped her dress off for the second time for alterations. When she got her dress back it fit good. She tried on her dress at home and a button popped off and the seams where they altered the dress are very noticeable. The alterations done were not done very well. Now she is forced to settle with what she has because she will be getting married in 5 days. The only thing davids offered was 20% of her alterations and that offer was for them giving her the dress of the rack instead ordering her a new one. read more
