Highly recommend Gowntastic. We were in the area for volleyball and a friend recommended this place to us. From start to finish, the experience was wonderful. All the girls were very helpful, accommodating, sweet and they help the girls zip up/lace the dress up and unzip/unlace. I will start off by saying that it is VERY difficult for me to find a beautiful dress that fits me- as I am bigger. I went to 4 stores before going into Gowntastic, and all 4 let me down since designers only like to design the beautiful dresses for petite sizes. When I walked into Gowntastic, Marissa was immediately welcoming. She asked what size I was running and pointed to the size rack that had my size. They had a HUGE selection of sizes compared to other stores for sizes 16+. The dresses are organized by size, and each one is in a protective clear bag while up on the rack. Each dress has a little picture of the model wearing it, so you know what the dress looks like without having to pull it down. The prices of the dresses are also moderate- which was very nice. More expensive than Macys- but less expensive than Henri's. The prices are definitely rational for the dresses! When I started pulling a dress down, Marissa was immediately there to help me with it. She put all my dresses in the fitting room for me and opened them up so it would be easy to get out of the bag and get on. When I got a dress on, all I had to do was peek my head out of the dressing room and Marissa was right there to help me zip/tie the dress up. She was also very very kind about making you feel good in the dress. She even went out of her way to try and pick out gowns she thought i'd like when I was in the fitting room. It was clear she cares and values her customers. Gowntastic also has their own seamstress. Marissa seemed more than happy to help me, even when I wanted to try dresses on over and over. I'm not sure if she's the owner- but if she is she deserves the world. This was the one store that I didn't burst out crying in. It was so welcoming and inclusive. The owner was there for my wife's experience. She was fully available to help her find the perfect dress. Usually for independently owned stores we are hesitant to go in because of the pressure to buy something. That did not happen here. The owner was easy to get along with, listened to what my wife was looking for in a dress, allowed space for my wife to be honest about the dresses, and searched through the inventory to find the right one. After spending countless hours at 3 different malls, I'm glad we have a place to return to when it comes to dress shopping. read more

My advice is to skip Henri's and go straight to Gowntastic. Huge selection even in the small space they have. The ladies are unbelievably helpful and paid attention to every dress my daughter tried on and made suggestions and pulled more for her to try on based on what she liked and disliked. Every gown is in a garment bag with a picture on the outside so you can see what the dress looks like on. If you need a gown for ANY occasion, you MUST come to Gowntastic!! Kathy and Julie have a phenomenal selection and the most adorable, cozy boutique which makes for an incredible buying experience. It's not a large warehouse and not overwhelming. Kathy personally assisted me, proving me with nearly 10 gowns in my size and helped photograph them all for me as I tried them on. It's ridiculous that you have to be put on a wait list (1.5-2hr) just to LOOK at the dresses.

The place was very small and crowded. It was impossible to tell what the dresses looked like covered in plastic.

I had a great experience here. I came in with my mom and her friend and her HS age daughter so we could look for prom dresses. This being my 4th store, I was ready to find one. The staff were INCREDIBLY helpful and were more than happy to grab another size, style or tie up a corset back. They register the dress you buy from your school so no one else can get it from your school, much like the high end stores like Henri's. They are organized by size and have lots of options and a huge range of sizes. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a dress for prom:) read more

Very disappointed. Checked out the store on Instagram and looked like they would have a nice selection. Had very little inventory and was in and out of the store in about 5 minutes. I also dm'd them on IG prior to making the trip there and never recieved a response. The one good thing I do have to say, the staff greeted us immediately and was friendly. read more

Kathy at Gowntastic was wonderful and Gowntastic is a gem! I had never been in the store before and decided to stop in after I had visited a few bigger name bridal/formalwear stores and had received poor customer service and was unable to find the product I was looking for. Gowntastic is just a tiny store front but from the moment I walked in Kathy was kind and helpful. The store has tons of beautiful dresses all bagged and kept in great condition. I was shopping for something for a young girl in another country and was looking for a completely off season dress and color and for a very low affordable price that I could get fairly quickly. Although Kathy didn't have anything in the store that fit what I was looking for, she went through all her suppliers to find something in the color, style, size and price range I needed and could get quickly. She sent me an email with all the details, options, and photos. All were beautiful dresses that looked far more expensive then the prices she was able to offer to me. I really wanted to order from her and would have but the situation changed a little along the way and I ended up sending money to the girl to purchase a dress in her country instead. Beautiful dresses, good price! Although...I have visited here 4 times now and each time the customer service was not the best. It seems they treat you differently depending on how you dress. The first time I came I had a full face of makeup dressed average jeans and a shirt with my hair styled nicely. This was the day they treated me very well and respectfully. The other times I was with my friend looking for prom dresses and we were both in yogas with our hair undone and up in buns. These days including today we got snuffy responses, rude responses and side talks, and dirty looks. I thought maybe they thought we were just messing around and not wanting to buy but even after coming back today to purchase a dress we still got rude eyerolls from the owners and rude responses with sass. We both understand customer service can be stressful but looking around they were in a much better mood with everyone else. Like i said great dresses not very good customer service. read more
