Unfortunately, I didn't have an "amazing" experience shopping for my wedding dress. The best part of the experience was Brenda, the consultant I worked with. Other than that, I don't recommend this place for wedding dress shopping if you're looking for a personal experience. They over book appointments so that they're ridiculously busy and you don't get that special feeling at all. On my first visit, another customer got in my mother's face because she was annoyed she wasn't being helped right away and all we received was "sorry" from the manager I guess. See what I mean about over booking appointments? And on my second visit, Brenda was stretched so thin, she was running around helping what seemed like 10 other people because she's the only one who is ever doing any work. I feel bad for her. My wedding is in two weeks and last week they called me and they had no idea why. I was transferred to 3 different people who couldn't figure out why they called me. I didn't have my alterations done with them so I didn't understand what that was about. I'm only giving 3 stars for Brenda because she is knowledgeable and does her best to work with what she's given there, which isn't much. read more

I was there on august 14th, 2017 with my friends wedding dress shopping for one of them. They gave us an appointment for 3pm and told us we should arrive at least 10/15 minutes early. We got there at 2:30pm. Then the woman who checked us in told the woman in charge of our appointment that we didn't have one, but we showed her the confirmation email. Then she continued to be rude and go off and assist her other customer because my friend wasn't sure what she wanted and she didn't have a set date or venue. That's why she brought us. She's getting married in 2018 and they don't know the situation and she didn't have to explain it. But this woman was very rude and barely helped her put on the dresses, we had to help her while this woman just continued to walk by saying she'd be right there. Then she kept bringing out big puffy princess dresses with these sweetheart necklines when the bride clearly said she wanted an A line v-neck dress with nice straps on it. But this woman didn't listen and what should've been a 90 minute appointment was only 45 minutes where we were quickly rushed out after that and she gave us a card with her name on it saying to come back when we had a date and a venue when again we explained that this woman didn't know the situation and she could've been going to the justice of the peace for all she knew and the individual appointments were coming in and that was something else she was rude about. Better beside manners would be appreciated. We went to a bridal store in the freehold mall after that and we didn't have an appointment but they gave us a much better service in the 20 or so minutes we were there with a better selection of dresses that we decided to go back there with an appointment and we even found a better selection of bridesmaids dresses there. I had an appointment to look at veils and the woman working with me seemed to have no idea of the products and didn't seem to care what I was looking for... Wow.. This place is HORRIBLE. I found my dream dress about a month ago. The place was busy, fine no problem. We'll wait. No hurry. So 20 minutes after our appointed time, Brenda came to help us. She was very sweet but clearly completely overwhelmed with assisting multiple parties at a time. Despite having to wait a while in dresses I knew weren't "the one" and not getting the kind individual attention one might prefer while selecting their wedding gown, I did find the dress and my mom bought it for me :) yay! But here's where my one star review really comes from.. I'd give it a 0 if I could. I was told that my dress would be delivered by January, maybe December but that it was unlikely. Great! I don't live in freehold, so while checking out I made sure to tell the associate to call my wonderful aunt, she would be picking up the dress. At this point, they had made the sale. They didn't care about what I was saying anymore. Awesome... I received a very rude voicemail from the manager two days ago. I believe her name was Janet. The voicemail stated that my dress had been with them for the last 24 DAYS?! And I HAVE to come pick it up as soon as possible?! I'm sorry.. My dress has been there for 24 days? How is this the first time I'm hearing about it? Why didn't you call my aunt as I instructed, as it would take a plane ride and a two hour car ride for ME to come pick this up, as I told you? (Right. You weren't listening.) "well you should have gotten an email about it." Ohhhhh. You mean you sent me an email amiss the 30 other emails you send out a day? David's bridal emails are sent directly to my junk folder because they border on harassment. Not to mention, people pay a lot of money for these gowns. Don't you think after a week of not showing up to pick up a gown, you would receive a friendly phone call letting you know "hi! Your dress is ready!" I'm still trying to locate this mythical email they seem to have sent me about two weeks after we purchased it, even though I was told it was unlikely to be delivered prior to its estimated arrival in January. Luckily, the story has a happy ending. My aunt just picked up my dress and told me it looks beautiful! Yay! But you people should be ashamed of yourself. Picking out your wedding gown is of course exciting in its own right, but part of that excitement is the actual experience you have picking it out and picking it up. Thanks to your business, that was not the case for me. If you're considering this place, I would suggest you drive to another location. They are understaffed, their manager is rude, and they don't listen to your needs. Isn't that business 101? I could open a bridal shop and put you out of business because as someone who has worked in plenty of customer service I can tell you from a trained eye, you fail. I will not be buying anything else for my wedding day from you people. read more

This store has a good selection and for the most part good customer service. But today I went to pick up my dress that I had tried on before and ordered in another size and had noticed that the bottom front portion looked shorter and uneven than before. I brought it up to the desk to mention it as we were making my alterations appointment and she stared at me and said 'okay, well what do you want me to do about it' and proceeded to walk away and say 'I can't, I cant' and called a manager. This is the slightly tall blonde lady at the front desk with glasses, I don't know her name, I didn't care enough to ask. But like, I really don't understand the attitude. And mind you, the manager was an angel and she was very nice about it and helped me out, but that tall blonde bitch can kiss it. Sorry, I don't appreciate bad service. This isn't saying the store is bad, but I don't believe her attitude was necessary. Everyone else is good, but she sucks ‍ not much else to say about that. I had a wonderful time yesterday with Connie and Mary Jo. They were absolutely professional, helpful, and understanding of my go with the flow attitude. We tried on short dresses, we tried on long dresses -- and all throughout they were suggestive of different ways to alter the dress to make it more "me." I cannot say enough lovely things about these two women. Also, I had two associates helping me because Mary Jo is in training. When she is out of training, any woman who has her as their consultant will be a lucky woman. She's honest with out being offensive -- and I really appreciated her help inside the fitting room. And Connie? This woman knows wedding dresses. She was always prepared with a sash, or a veil, or a accent -- which really 1. solidified, "holy! I'm getting married!!" and 2. helped me envision something I don't know I would have gotten to on my own. I was in and out in about an hour and a half, tried on 3-4 short dresses and about 3 long dresses before I found "the one." It's stunning and I can't thank Connie and Mary Jo enough. Also, I've read some other reviews where they talk about the "pitch" I never felt like they were pitching me on anything. Listen, these ladies have a job to do and I respect that. We talked about the credit card, the preservation box (which I did purchase) and alterations. Connie even escorted me back to talk to one of the tailors in the back (Janice, who was very kind and helpful as well) to talk about options. Ok I'm giving this place four stars because they were able to fix everything. I bought my dress 8 months in advance to my wedding. Alterations insisted that I wait until it gets closer to my wedding to the alterations done because I might gain or loose weight (even though that doesn't really happen to me) anyway I waited until like February when my wedding is in April. Well 40 days before the wedding they end up messing up my dress and they can't fix the dress. They had to order a new one. I didn't want the same dress because I was so close to my date and I was afraid they would ruin it too. I found another dress and they made it look beautiful. I only let the head last do it. Forgot her name but she was amazing!!! Loved her and she helped me feel better about everything. Just be careful and make sure to have your dress done with time! read more

Every time I went there, I would work with a different person and each person would give me a different answer as if the previous answer was pulled from the air. We went back to get my bridesmaid's dresses first I got scolded for waiting so long and that they would do their best to help me but there were no promises. It was July my wedding is end of October. I found a dress I loved for my girls and they loved it too. Then the crazy set in my consultant was frantic and unorganized. She said the sizes were slipping away as we spoke and had to order the dresses that second. She asked what color I wanted them, I told her. She also tried to bully one of my bridesmaids into a size that she could barely zip, my bridesmaid was clearly uncomfortable in the dress and the consultant continued to push the issue. The dresses arrived for pick up 4 days later(we were really cutting it close) they also were the wrong color. When I called the store i was told that i was wrong and the dresses that I picked didn't come in the color I wanted, Ii promised the manager they did. When she checked to see she saw I was right and told me then I must have misspoken her consultant would never had ordered the wrong color and that she probably could not get the right color because of the time constraint (still July). read more

Yesterday was my first day trying on dresses and the first appointment happened to be at David's Bridal. I had a couple of appointments throughout the day and I have to say I had the absolute best experience at David's Bridal. Pattie was phenomenal and VERY helpful being that it was my first appointment and I really wasn't too sure what I was looking for. She was honest, helpful and was not pushy at all. I, of course like many women, am very self conscience of my body and really wasn't looking forward to some lady being in a room with me putting me into dresses. She made me feel so comfortable and beautiful. She made great recommendations and at the end of the appointment although I thought I fell in love with a dress, I told her that I had a couple of other appointments, she simply handed me her card and told me to call her, but in the meantime she saved all of my favorites on my wish list. Later in the day I returned, almost disappointed that I had gone to the other appointments because I did not have nearly the same experience at those appointments. When I returned, I did not have an appointment but Pattie was able to squeeze me in, she put me back in a couple of dresses and ultimately I bought the dress that I had fallen in love with. Janet the manager of the store was also great, friendly and provided a great vibe for the store. I really could not have asked for a better day! I just bought my wedding dress from David's three weeks ago. I returned to the Freehold store with my mom to purchase her dress for my wedding day. All the girls were so helpful. Kristin helped my mom with her dress and after our appointment I was looking for a headpiece and wandering back in the bridal section without an appointment. There I found Patti. She was unbelievable. She was so helpful and knowledgeable and went out of her way to help me. We went and got the same dress I had previously purchased off the rack at the Lawrenceville store. She had me try it on to see how the headpiece looked with it. While trying it on I realized the dress off the rack at this store (which was the same size as the one I just bought) was in much better condition. She sent me home (10 min away),waited for me as I went home, got my dress and came back to exchange. She went above and beyond. I can't believe I was so lucky. Joann and Jaime at the front were also amazing. They and Patti helped me finalize the headpiece. The ladies really finished my hectic day off right. My mom was ecstatic with the dress she found and I had a new headpiece and a better dress! Thank you so much ladies. I will see you in two weeks for my bridesmaids appointment! Went here a few Sunday's ago and Crystal was my dress queen! She was so sweet, patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I always thought I wanted a ballgown but once I tried on the style Crystal recommended for my body shape, we all knew it was the one (Mermaid). The manager and many associates complimented me and had great advice and customer service. I'm surprised the reviews are so negative-- I'm am bringing my bridesmaid in this upcoming Sunday to try on dresses and I'm sure they will be treated the same way. read more

Being more than reluctant to be bridal gown shopping, instantly upon entering David's' Bridal in Freehold, Brenda made the experience delightful and actually fun. She was personable, genuine, and knew what was needed. She is an incredible consultant. We showed her pictures of dresses we liked, she grabbed several from the racks, and presented the styles that matched and were well suited. Brenda saved the best for last, even though slightly beyond the initially set price point, but knew it would prove to be a winner. She was beyond patient, having to appease two brides! My daughter bought her wedding dress at David's in Freehold yesterday! It was an wonderful experience. Brenda was so amazing!!! First of all, she listened to what my daughter wanted and found dresses that totally fit the bill. Then, never rushing my daughter, she helped her try on many dresses. One we were getting close to a dress decision, Brenda spent even more time with us accessorizing the dressl; she went way out of her way to provide many creative and beautiful ideas. We felt totally cared for as if Brenda was a dear friend taking the time to make my daughter's wedding so special! She knew how to de-stress the situation and make us all feel comfortable- what an enjoyable day! I would recommend Brenda at David's bridal in Freehold. David's has a great selection and excellent values, but Brenda made the day so memorable and pleasant!! The manager who was on at the time was also delightful- will get her name and be back tomorrow. Only advice, it was great going later in the day when the store wasn't so busy. it is great that they are open Sundays for working women. read more

I came here for my wedding dress everyone there was so nice and helpful. I told them right away that I was on a budget and they went out of their way to find me dresses in that budget. All the staff was so friendly and willing to help. Unfortunately our wedding seemed to be around peak times despite it being in the winter and there were times when there were just too many people in there for the staff to give one on one attention, but that's understandable. I love that they have a clearance section of beautiful dresses for $200 or so as well as all the discounts they give you for your wedding party. It really makes it affordable for everyone. read more

Took my daughter in to find a dress for an event. We found something she really liked, but being very thin it was a size too big. I asked the sales woman if she would call another David's Bridal to see if they had the dress, since we needed the dress quickly. Her response was" it doesn't come in that size". She told me I could have it altered there. It would cost me $110 to alter the dress and $25 extra for a rush job....the dress was only $129, so the alterations would have been more than the dress. I left telling them I had to them about it. Went home, found the dress online, it actually came in two sizes smaller and ordered it online. She couldn't be bothered to help and feared losing her commission... which she did and I'm glad! read more

Had a wonderful experience today at David's Bridal. After leaving another local shop and feeling high pressure to buy, it was a pleasure to come to David's and feel relaxed and to have fun with my daughter looking for prom dresses. Noelle was very thoughtful, attentive and Patient with my daughter and made sure she was happy! The other associates were also helpful and encouraging. Can I give less???? They royally screwed up on every angle. 1 week before my wedding and they were still trying to fix the mistakes they made. They put me thru HELL. Then when you call the store you get nasty attitudes like you owe them something. I have never in my life had such a TERRIBLE experience. After 4 TIMES and the wrong dress ordered, my wedding day there was no clip on the dress and NONE of my Bridesmaids had clips on theirs either. I don't know how they are still operating. DISGUSTING and corporate will be made aware of this. Such a shame that they almost ruined my big day. Don't even try calling either. NASTY attitudes and leave you on hold forever. I just told my family my fiancée and I had decided to get married. My mother and sister thought it would take forever to find a dress. They made the appointment just so we can look. Lo and behold! Sales department was fine but the alterations were a disaster. At the final fitting, the hem was still too long, the bustle was a mess and it was not pressed or hung properly. We questioned the bustle and were told there was no other way. When we got home we were so unhappy with it that we contacted David's Bridal in Lawrenceville because we didn't want the Freehold location to touch it again. Thankfully they were able to help us because there wasn't much time left before the wedding day. They ended up having to order another gown because not even they could fix it and they had it ready in 2 weeks. It fit perfectly with a beautiful bustle and was pressed and ready to wear. Lawrenceville David's Bridal alterations dept went above and beyond - I can't say enough about them. As for David's Bridal Freehold - I would stay away. My 4 daughters and I purchased a wedding dress, four bridesmaid dresses and a mother of bride dress with numerous accessories this past May. Other than the bride's dress, we did not get alterations at this location, although there was only 1 bridesmaid dress that needed alterations. My one daughter brought her dress to our local seamstress for minor alterations and when she tried the dress on the seamstress found the security tag still on the dress. With only 2 weeks before the wedding, and one week that we would be in town, the seamstress rushed this job and we called David's Bridal to let them know and that we would have to make a trip up there, which my daughter did. Fast forward 2 weeks to the day of the wedding, I was at the hotel with the bridal party, 3 hours before the wedding and we started getting dressed for pictures. My dressed fit like a glove and everyone was admiring it when one of the bridesmaids asked what that thing was on the side of the dress? It was the SECURITY TAG! I immediately contacted David's Bridal who told me to come and they would remove it. I'm 90 miles away off the GSP on a Friday afternoon, and it is 2:00 and the wedding is at 5:00 and the photographer is here to take pictures...that isn't an option. I asked her if they could contact a local store to see if they had the equipment to remove it and I was told no, they couldn't do that, but I could try a butter knife....it's a lace dress, I can't user a butter knife. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she was busy. Frustrated, I told the clerk that I don't know what to do, but I'll figure something out. So all the wedding pictures have me with my left hand planted firmly straight down hiding the security tag. I also had asked that since I was obviously busy that the manager contact me by Tuesday, August 2nd. Not hearing back, on Wednesday I wrote to the customer service department through David's Bridal website which indicates a response within 48 hours. For the past week, I have resubmitted this form 3 times to them and their silence is deafening! With the amount of money and time invested, one would think a courtesy callback would be in line. This is and never was my intention to go off on anyone, even during the conversation with the clerk the day of the wedding, my temperament was level and respectful which given the situation, not many would have done the same. This store went above and beyond for me. In a nutshell: I had ordered my wedding dress through David's Bridal online and was shocked to receive an email five days later that the order had been canceled due to a lack of inventory. I tried ordering the dress through the website again but was disheartened to find that it wouldn't ship until a few weeks AFTER my wedding. In a desperate attempt, I decided to call the Freehold store to see if they'd sell me the dress they had on the mannequin. Bryn, one of the managers, was so kind to me (I was crying on the phone) and said she'd give me a call back. Despite the dress being unavailable online, she was able to place a special order and have my size shipped directly to the store! The dress came in and it was perfect. I decided to have it altered with an outside tailor (Dorli Bridal in Hightstown), but I did meet with an alterations person at David's who seemed totally competent and trustworthy. Rochelle was amazing, she was so easy going yet listened to exactly what I was looking for. I was scared I would have a pushy sales person but Rochelle truly made it stress free, even when I went back for bridesmaid dresses. If I was rating Rochelle I would give all 5 stars, she is very down to earth yet so knowledgeable. I was a little upset with someone working at the counter when I came to pick my dress up, a little rude and unhelpful. Make your appointment with Rochelle she is the best!!! read more

I had some up and downs with emotion at David's Bridal. I thought I was being an easy bride and letting my bridesmaid choose whatever style dress they preferred just in one color. That was until David's bridal company decided to discontinue the color of Peacock I loved. So I figured I would have to change colors. That was until one of the store managers, Jaime, went out of her way to make sure that I knew that I was the bride and I should get what I wanted. She and my store stylist, Brenda went out of their way for an hour to search online to find what dresses were still in stock in my first choice color. They were able to find 5 different dresses for my girls to choose from with limited sizes, but when I went in today it was hard for my girls to find sizes. Brenda did some more searching and it worked out! Brenda and Jaime were awesome. Not happy with David's bridals decision to discontinue dresses but still post the colors on the website and advertisement but the customer service at the freehold store was worth it! read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE . They are all rude,and nasty in person and on the phone.They treat people like cattle. I am the mother of the bride . I waited 4 months for my dress to come in. It was the wrong size. I was measured correctly but, someone wrote the wrong measurements on the order. Now 8 weeks before my daughter's wedding they can not get my dress. It was the worst experience of my life . Thank god my daughter(the Bride) went to Kleinfeld's in NYC. Now they know what customer service is. Came in for an appointment to find my wedding dress on saturday, and while David's lacks the fancy finishes you may find at other boutiques the service was unmatched. I've had less than impressive experiences at other David's locations so I did not expect to find my dress but knew I had to get the ball rolling finding a dress. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and told we could browse the racks as my consultant was finishing up another appointment. Rochelle came over and introduced herself and explained that she had to finish up an appointment to feel free to pull dresses in the interim. Once it was time to put dresses on Rochelle made me feel extremely comfortable which is difficult when getting half naked in front of a stranger. As I was leaving the store Rochelle indicated that if I wanted to come back later or even tomorrow (her day off) just to reach out to her and we would make it happen. I left the salon to go to Castle Couture to try on a Sophia Tolli I had my eye on, only to find that they didn't have it in stock and had "no browsing" rules and consultants that just weren't understanding what I wanted. As I left Castle Couture I texted Rochelle letting her know I was on my way to buy my dress, it was the first one I had tried on and as soon as we returned to the store Rochelle found a way to accommodate us. In our absence she had even found the dress I wanted was in the store in my size, someone else had it in their dressing room. Rochelle and manager Janet made me feel as though they were genuinely invested in finding me the perfect dress. So glad I stumbled into this location and can't wait to be back for bridesmaid shopping in the future. Happy customer for sure!! read more

I went in to get a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding where she was allowing me to get anything that I liked. The staff was good about letting me pick out whatever I wanted and did not pester me during this process. I tried on a few dresses and found one that I really liked but it was two sizes too big. They checked and it would be possible to order the dress and receive it in time. However, I was told to order only 1 size smaller, which I questioned as I have been fitted for bridesmaid dresses before as well as my own wedding dress and I was confident on my actual size as well as knowing that the dress I was wearing was way too big. They did not listen to my wishes and ordered the dress in a size up than I normally would. When it came in and I tried it on, the dress was too big and I was told that alterations are an additional cost and I would have to pay an additional rush fee as well to have it completed in time. If they had ordered the size I requested, however, no alterations would have been necessary which was very frustrating. Overall, I would definitely go elsewhere for future dresses as they are not the most knowledgeable and did not really listen to my requests. read more

I bought my dress last year at David's Bridal up north and decided to do my alterations in the Freehold store since its closer to home. Last month I went for my first fitting. I'm pretty petite and the dress I purchased was a size too big, which I was fine with, that way there's more material to work with in the event that I gained weight (God Forbid). So I told the seamstress not to make the dress too tight because you never know what could happen, also I like to have room to move around. So she measured me and I was told I had to pay $400 to have the dress taken in and hemmed. I paid them and was told to return in September. So I went for my second fitting a week ago and I had my bridesmaids with me so they could see how my dress looked, since no one has seen it on me before. And when my bridesmaid couldn't zip my dress up all the way... I knew something was wrong....They made the dress way too small! I could only take shallow breaths and I couldn't sit. From the stress of this wedding I lost like 3 lbs since last month, so I knew it wasn't my fault that the dress didn't fit. The seamstress that was helping me on this day was not the original one that measured me back in August. And this lady was having a difficult time understanding where the problem was. I kept explaining to her that the sides were too tight, so she took it in the back room 2 or 3 times and she just couldn't get it right. She was getting frustrated with me but I kept explaining to her that I wasn't comfortable with the way the dress felt. Also, they didn't hem my dress, I tripped over it and almost fell. Long story short , my wedding is next month and I'm furious that I spent $400 on alterations that weren't even done properly. So before anymore damage was done to the dress and my wallet I decided to take the dress home and see if I could find someone else to fix it. As I was waiting for the seamstress to bag up my dress, 2 other customers came in for Alterations and both of them complained that their dresses were too small.!!! There is a reason that this location has so many negative comments and reviews, I wish I read them before I came here and wasted my time and money. By the way, the new seamstress that I found to fix my dress, has 6 other wedding dresses from David's Bridal that she has to fix because the Alterations department screwed up. read more

Had an appointment today and my consultant, Michelle, informed me about the power going out yesterday and they closed early so there were more than usual amount of people there. OK I get that but I had to bring my bridesmaids ALL their dresses myself and helped them change into their dresses. She checked on us once. We picked out the dresses, one for my bridesmaids and one for my MOH. She came by later with a form with the item numbers written down for my ladies (or so I thought). My MOH paid then for what she thought was her dress and we left. Later that day, my bridesmaid came and went to pay for her dress but it was in fact, my MOH's dress. So then my MOH calls them up to get them to switch and she talked to someone who acted as though it was HER FAULT that she paid for the wrong dress??? How is that possible?? Michelle wrote down the dresses under the wrong names. Maybe if she spent more than 5 minutes with us, it would have been done correctly. Now my MOH has to call tomorrow to straighten it out! I was debating buying my dress here but after this inattentive & uncaring service, I'm going elsewhere. When she calls tomorrow, it BETTER be straightened out or I'm going to call corporate. My wedding experience has been amazing- EXCEPT for David's bridal in Freehold. The women are extremely NASTY and I am pretty sure have the lowest IQ in the world. first time in I was pushed to the side and made to feel like I was annoying them and taking up there time within 5m of being there. I left immediately- a few months went by and I had to go back in for a brides maid dress and I found the perfect gown for myself. I then purchased it and 8 bridesmaid dresses. The following appointment was exactly like the first but I kept my cool because of the dress- best part was one of the women kept bringing me things and I wasn't even her appointment! She kept following me around asking if I liked the vail! I looked nothing like the bride she was working with!! her bride kept yelling for her and then she would just stop and stare- she is either on drugs or she is an IDIOT. From that point every time a dress came in they would call me 1,000 times and after telling them to stop calling me and call the BRIDESMAID they still didn't call them. funny part is, all this calling they forgot to let me know that my dress was being shipped to my house! No invite in to try it on again, Call, Email, NOTHING. It was then delivered to the wrong house in a brown box with light plastic around it. THEY ARE LUCKY THIS NEIGHBOR WASNT AWAY AND IT WASNT A STORM and that they even brought it to me it could have been tossed in the garbage and I would have NO IDEA because I was never EVER told my dress was even in!!! Now my bridesmaids are going in to get their dresses and every time they call or go in for the dress they are told it was never ordered and doesn't exist! Giving myself and them a friggen heart attack every single time to find out that it was in the back the whole time BUT they didn't take the time to just LOOK and figure it out before freaking everyone out! I had my last straw today when my sister was told her dress didn't exist and I got on the phone with the manager. She did not give one crap about any of this after telling her all about this awful experience and even laughed at the end. This place FIRST needs new management before I will EVER step foot in there again. these women don't care about your experience and have made it very clear- VERY. I will let every bride I come across know about my experience and how awful the manager and the sales women were. next stop after this review is calling corporate. shame to have such nice dresses around nasty trash. read more

When I went in to get my dress, I had a great experience. Amy was fantastic in making me feel comfortable, and I left with my dream dress. However each time after that was a nightmare. I went back with some bridesmaids to get their dresses, and was treated with disrespect and was barely helped. It was not until they found out that I was the Bride that they actually were nice and helpful. Then, the shoes. I ordered them (which seemed to confuse the lady that yes, I, The Bride, wanted red shoes). I live in MD, so it was important to time it correctly since the shop is in NJ where my family is. The shoes came in a month before she said they were going to- which meant they would have to hold onto them for a month since I lived out of state (and had to come in and try them on before they were sent out to be dyed). I received phone calls every day telling me I had to pick up my shoes. Each time they promised to "write a note" explaining my situation, but I even got calls up till the day before. When I got there they seemed to forget that I was not picking up my shoes, but there to try them on so they could be sent out to be dyed. THEN tried to charge me again for dying. We set up a pick up date for the shoes... nine days after that date I finally called, since I had not heard they had come in yet; only to find out that 1, they forgot to send out my shoes 2, they lost them... and now 3, my family picked them up for me and sent them to me in MD, and they look awful. There are finger prints on the soles, its not even dyed all the way (lots of white spots) and the front is blotchy. I am canceling my alterations at this particular DB because I do not trust them to produce a good product. They have been rude, and obviously do not care to do a proper job the first time. My fiance's mother even had a problem with her dress. I just do not recommend this place- until they get a staff that actually cares about selling a dress, shoes, accessories to a woman for their special occasion- not just the commission. I work in specialty retail, so I know how important those moments are for a guest; and now I have bad memories for this part of the wedding process. read more

I came to the Freehold David's bridal to get the right size gown that I purchased at another store. They were perfect and helped me get a new size. I picked up the new dress and tried it on right away. This one was a perfect fit and I was excited to finally take my dress home. Since I left the store it has been in two garment bags and I just took it out to day to try on. As soon as I saw the dress I realized it has a HUGE rip right down the lace. This is beyond ridiculous right now and to the point where mistakes are not acceptable. I am certain that it had a rip before I left the store and I didn't even notice. I don't know what is going on with David's Bridal but I have spent too much time and money to get the wrong size and then when I get the right size have a huge rip in the skirt of the dress. Shop for your wedding dress somewhere else. If I had not already spent over $1000 on this dress I would throw it away. This no return policy and a pain in the neck trying to get a hold of a representative is nerve racking, especially for a bride. Save yourself the trouble and learn from my mistakes. read more
