My bridal party and I had an excellent experience with David's Bridal. Laura was my stylist and I explained to her that my mother was in a long-term care facility and that my sister (matron of honor) would be on a zoom call with her to help include my mom with this appointment. Laura was amazing! She would take the phone and talk to my mom and show her each dress I tried on - from full length to up close to the tiniest details of the beading on the dress. I told Laura my budget and she helped to find the right options for me to try on and steered me away from much pricier designer gowns. She was also upfront with me in alterations costs so I wasn't surprised by that. I didn't expect to find THE dress on my first trip but I absolutely did and I would highly recommend this store! I had an appointment this past weekend to find my perfect wedding dress and it was a huge success! I got to work with the wonderful Iman! She was so helpful and attentive! I am updating this review, so I might respond to the gentleman who posted below. The gentleman stated that it is important for all information to be correctly conveyed; yes, it absolutely is, and in my case, it was not delivered correctly. This had a major impact on the outcome of my experience at this business. With that, the appropriate response would have been to allow me to return my item in the time span I was told, regardless of what the current policy is. The policy was relayed to me incorrectly. It does not matter what the receipt says because the real-life person I called to discuss this problem told me otherwise. I made a personal phone call regarding this issue, and I confirmed the conversation in front of numerous witnesses. I was told that my understanding of the return policy was "basically" accurate when that was not true. I might add that the thirty days I was told I would have to return the item have not yet gone by. The appropriate response, if this business actually was concerned with customer service, would be to honor what I was told by your employee. read more

This is my first yelp review I have made. I feel like I have to share my experience with David's Bridal at this location. I recently got married in November, 2022 and I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal. I wanted to share my unpleasant alteration experience with David's Bridal. I understand that having alterations may take a couple times . I paid $60 to have it completed to pick up on 11-3-2022 due to my wedding on 11-11-2022. My original price of my dress was 499.99 and due to covid I had to cancel my original wedding date a year prior to 11-11-2022 and when I originally purchased my dress from David's Bridal for $499.99 I was able to return it due to covid and rescheduling my wedding for the next year of my recent wedding in 2022. I was able to repurchase the same prior wedding dress and it was on sale for $399.00. When I was at my fitting before paying the $60.00 fee to make sure my dress was ready on 11-3-2022 for my wedding day on 11-11-2022 , I was unaware how much my alterations would be not including the rush fee of 60.00 and a additional $443.00 for my alterations, more then that paid for my wedding dress. With that being said , while the alterations manger was measuring me and pinning the dress for alterations, she never mentioned any prices until I got up to the register at the front of the store when paying for my alterations. Good customer service should have been to go over all of the prices per what needed to be completed for my dress that was the first unprofessional experience with this process . I arrived to try on and pick up my dress on the date promised to be ready on 11-3-2022 at the David's Bridal location on Barry Road in Kansas City , Mo. At this fitting to see how the dress fit from the alterations, there was a brown large round ironing mark on the right side of my ivory wedding dress , was not pressed and still had a spot on the upper front that was not treated. I had to point out the large brown new spot on my dress , along with the above mentioned . The dress was not done correctly and the evening alteration staff acknowledged the new new brown water or iron mark stain that they had put there as well as the other above mentioned . I left my dress there to come pick up another evening this week of 11-3-2022. I would then come back after work numerous times between the original pick up date of 11-3-2022 to the day before my wedding on 11-11-2022. There was such a lack of professionalism in this process. I had to constantly point out flaws from the first time picking my wedding dress on 11-3-2022. Each time I came into the store to try on and pick up my dress , a different person employee would suggest something different on what should be done on the dress and or should have been done to the dress due to the dress not being altered correctly and obvious to the eye and fit . The employees that I met with in the alterations department at the store , each time I came in to try on , would say out loud to me and with the other employees why did the prior employees do it this way, it was done incorrectly, why did they not remove the belt underneath and do it correctly, etc while I was standing there with my dress on. So each time it was a different opinions , suggestions and faulting the prior employees working on my dress and vocally sharing their frustrations with me and talking about how the prior alterations employees did it wrong and questioning why they did it that way or not doing what should have been done the first time and the prior times coming back to the store to try my dress on. There were too many people working on my dress . This whole process was unprofessional the way it was handled , due to the number of times I had to go to the store , point out the obvious that was not correct , new stains , not pressed and all of the above mentioned . Not to mention all the time involved, the number of people that worked on my dress. It came down to the wire the day before my wedding on 11-11-2022. It was added stress , time spent and the number of different people not consistent working on my dress and how to fix and alter my dress correctly. To many hands working on my dress with no idea , it should be the same person or persons working on the dress so this could be avoided. The large brown water /iron stain had to be worked on multiple times , and dress not done properly until the day before my wedding . This could have been prevented, but this process is not ok, unprofessional and could have been handled a lot better , lack of communication, to many people working on it and not knowing made it more stressful , added stress and time. I called the store directly to try to discuss this with the manger and was told numerous times over the phone when I called that a manger would call me back . I cannot stress enough how AMAZING our stylist Kitty was!!! Right from the start she went to work finding me all the best options possible after I told her what I was looking for. Her sense of style and taste is on point! She doesn't only hear you, she truly LISTENS to you. She gave perfect direction and guided me the whole time. She went out of her way and above and beyond to find me the perfect wedding dress. After trying on tons of dresses and I still didn't find "the one." Kitty brought back one last dress (one that I would have never picked out myself) but it was THE ONE! She helped me add on straps to the dress to make it truly feel like it was mine. If I could give a -1,000 I would! However I did not purchase my dress at David's Bridal, but I left the dress on April 20th, 2022 for alterations. I purchased the dress for $1,600 at a local boutique on a sample sale; the boutique does not offer alterations on their sample sale pieces, so they recommended me to David's Bridal. The alterations associate took my measurements and said the only option I had was to add a corset to the dress and that would be the solution to my problems. Once the corset was added, they said they would be able to hem it for me. At the time, I paid $175 for those alterations. Once the alterations were made, I came back on Monday May 30th, 2022 for another appointment (I was with a different associate). When I went in and put my dress on, my whole back was exposed. I think to myself that if I give it a moment they are going to tie the corset and it should fit better- it did not. The new associate took my measurements. The associate then stated that some of my measurements (from April 20th) were six inches off. Due to the first alteration associate's mistake, they cut an excessive amount of material out of my dress. The alterations associate brought the store manager, Kim into the room with me. Kim came in and told me that the first associate should not have said we could have worked on my dress; they should have said, "No, it's too much work and since it is not our dress, if we mess it up we cannot order a new one. Now, since we started the work, we will have to finish it." Kim told me a specialty seamstress, Faye, would need to work on the dress; the seamstress would be back June 9th, 2022. With the amount of work required to fix the incorrect alterations, the specialty seamstress would be the only one who could work on the dress and make it satisfactory. I came back on June 9th to meet with Faye. Forty-five minutes into the alterations she began to ask me questions about my dress; I explained to her that the previous seamstress took incorrect measurements, unnecessary measures, and was informed that she would be the only one to remedy the situation and bring back the love I once had in this dress. She told me that because of the past alterations associate's mistakes, I would need to make HEFTY alterations. After an hour and a half, she calculated the total for all the new alterations required (the alterations required due to an employee's error). She informed me that the new total to fix the mistake would be $1,015 for the alterations that they messed up. We had already paid $175 for alterations, so I asked if that could be applied to this $1,015 repair. I then asked if there was anything else David's Bridal could do to lessen the repair cost- since the only reason it was so high was because of an employee's error. I was told the only person who would be able to answer that would be Kim (who was not in that day). The associate said they would inform Kim about the current situation and Kim would get back to me. Kim got back to me on June 10th, 2022, at 4:33pm, the store manager told me she would apply the $175 that I already paid to the total of $1,015, but I still owe $840 for the additional work. That conclusion would lead me to pay an additional $1015 on my $1,600 dress, due to an employee's error. I informed her of the situation, so she told me the alterations manager would get back to me. By this point, I have been bounced around from associate-to-associate with no progress made. The referral of David's Bridal was evidently a mistake, because at this point I am crying because my gorgeous wedding dress, may not even be wearable because I cannot put another $840 into my wedding dress. It disheartens me to say that the dress-of-my-dreams has been ruined by an employee's error and I now have to pay the price of- which I cannot. I cannot afford to pay another $840 for alterations that are required due to an employee's mistakes. I went into the store on June 11th, 2022 with my soon-to-be in-laws to discuss this with management in-person. We waited for the alterations manager; the alterations manager took me and my party from the front of the store, to the back. Once we moved locations, there was already a bride there, so-- AGAIN- they put me and my in-laws in a smaller room (away from potential customers). They had me put my dress on and they took the pins out of the dress. I kept asking questions; they kept avoiding answering the questions definitively. That day the store manager and the alterations manager tell me that everything the person said on May 30th, 2022 was all wrong. They said they will either take $175 off of the $1,015 to make it $840, or they would do different alterations. It's sad to say this is only a third of the story! read more

I would NEVER recommend anyone to go here for dress alterations. I went in April to get my wedding dress altered and was completely blindsided by the cost ~ $700 which has to be paid BEFORE they do any alterations. When I picked it up, we did sign for it because we felt very rushed and didn't realize all the issues there were until we got it on at home. The bustle was an absolute nightmare - we ended up going to another seamstress to spend even more money on alterations and she completely took out the original bustle because it absolutely made no sense - 14 ties, 3 buttons and the button fell off when we tried bustling at home. On top of all of that, there was a tear in the side of my dress! The pricing for all of this was absurd and the quality of work was horrendous. read more

Terrible experience. Went there to get a bridesmaid dress and they gave me the wrong one. I had it for months in my own possession before another bridesmaid heard from a difference David's Bridal that one of the bridesmaids had gotten the wrong dress. Luckily I hadn't had it altered yet and that I found out before showing up to the wedding in the wrong dress! When I called them to tell them they gave me the wrong dress, they were rude and acted like it was my fault (how would I know what dress to order? It's literally in their database...) and never once in the few times I called did anyone ever apologize to me. I even had to call back to check on the status of the order of the correct dress a few weeks later... and NO ONE HAD ORDERED IT. They finally did make an order, and still, no one apologized. *They lost my dress twice and didn't fix what they said they would on it* I went in to try on dresses one week before my scheduled appointment. I put a deposit down on a dress that I liked- it was the last one available, that particular style had been discontinued so I didn't want to wait. My family and I came to my scheduled appointment the following week, only to be informed that the dress I had put money down on "wasn't there anymore." Come to find out, there were some loose beads and tule that needed fixed, so my dress was in alterations. Why this information was not included in the notes section of my account (like I was told it would be) I do not know. This experience was really anxiety provoking, and had my family irritated. We were all under the impression they had lost the dress I put money down on. They finally located my dress and I finished paying for it. The beads and tule still needed fixed so I left my dress there to be repaired. It had been a few weeks, so I called them to see when I could pick it up. I told them that my mother would pick up the dress and they agreed that would be fine. My mother showed up only to have someone tell her AGAIN that they didn't have my dress. She ended up leaving the store with ZERO answers - just that no one could find it. No one even bothered to call me first, I had to call them to figure out what happened. I called the store and made it abundantly clear that this was the second anxiety provoking experience we've had my surrounding my wedding dress and that I was very unhappy. This experience was supposed to be stress free and fun for me and my family, and because of the lack of communication it was not that way at all. The alterations lady called me and told me next time to specifically ask for her, and that I should have specified that my dress was in alterations. I find that really inconvenient - everyone should be on the same page, I shouldn't have to pick and choose the employees I can communicate with regarding their competence level. Also, I don't understand why an employee wouldn't have at least checked alterations before they sent my mother home with nothing but wasted time and anxiety. And after all of this, there are still lose beads on the dress that were supposed to be fixed. I used to work in prom and bridal, I understand that mistakes happen, but when communication is so poor that it causes this much anxiety around someone's WEDDING dress it is absolutely unacceptable. The employees at this location are incompetent and ruined this experience for me and my family. I find it odd that the District Manager, CJ DuVerney, has responded to many other reviews, but not mine. I have tried several times to contact the store and even customer service and continue to be ignored. I truly hope this is not race related as I see those with responses from the district manager are not the same race as me. However, we all provided the same feedback. The store was not clean, the chairs were torn and uncomfortable, the inventory was not up to par, and the staff was not pleasant. We were looking for styles and colors for a bridesmaid party of 9 with 5 women present, the bride, and a mom of one of the bridesmaids. The appointment began wonderfully. As the maid of honor, me and the bride scheduled two back to back appointments for a hour long for our large bridal party as the first appointment because we know how busy Saturday's can be. After an hour or so of Samantha, our consultant, helping us, our appointment began to be very rushed. We were asked by Emily, another consultant, for our entire party to move sides for another smaller party. However, the location we moved to was empty. We didn't understand why we were moved. Emily then began walking into our parties rooms without knocking and with a look of disgust asked Samantha when she would be done with us. Samantha, while very nice, began to be flustered and rush her information. She even questioned me after I requested to look at a specific color instead of just pulling the dress. The bridal party felt rushed and while we were excited to find a dress the excitement was short lived due to the draining negativity from the consultants. When we asked for the manager, Kim, to confirm we had in fact booked two appointments. She said she only has 1 to show. She found an excuse for Emily's behavior and quite frankly none of us purchased the dress at this point because we are going to look elsewhere. Samantha did apologize once we acknowledged her behavior, while understandings that she has to keep the appointment on track for other appointments scheduled. The dress is $160 for 9 women. That is a lot of money for one party. We are disappointed in the treatment and the lack of regard the location had for our party and bride. The fitting room chairs were also extremely torn and not very clean. I arrived at the Barry Road location at 10:53 for an 11:00 appointment. The doors to enter were locked, so a worker came to the door just to tell me that I had to stand in the alcove until 11:00. It would have been nice to have been invited inside to sit and wait (since it was 23 degrees), but you can't have it all. Once inside, they weren't prepared for the day. It took awhile to find the necessary paperwork, etc. BUT once we got organized, all was dandy. Jessie C. was my stylist and made it a fun experience! David's Bridal ruined 2 brides weddings!!! Appointment started off very well the lady that helped us during the purchase of the dress was more than wonderful. The trouble started when we started to deal with the alterations Department. We arrived for the first alterations appointment the assistant was rude and in a rush. She did tell us that she has plenty more appointments today so we need to come on with it. The lady that actually did the alterations was wonderful. When we arrived for the second alterations appointment we were told that the dress was not ready. The dress had not been steamed. Even though we had received a call from them the day before stating if we were late for the appointment the appointment would be cancelled and we would have to wait another six weeks or so for the second appointment. During the appointment there was another bride present trying on her dress as well. The assistant in the alterations Department did not assist my niece and trying on the dress or doing the bustle or any of that sort of thing. My niece lives 2 hours from the store. So the dress not being ready at the appointment time was an extremely big ordeal. My niece received a call from a complete stranger that said I have your dress David's Bridal has messed up I'm getting married in 45 minutes and I don't have my dress. I have yours. Both Brides were very emotional and upset as can be expected in this kind of situation. David's Bridal did not notify my niece that her dress had been sent to another person's wedding. We did reach out to David's Bridal to see what they would be doing to rectify the situation. They said that we could come pick up her dress and that was it when they get it back in their possession. We did tell the store manager that that was unacceptable and they needed to do something to make sure that the dress would have not been damaged or smoked around or anything that could alter the beauty of the dress. We spoke to assistant manager Kim who was very rude unsympathetic she told us that they found out minutes ago about the dress and that's why they had not called my niece to notify her. We then asked to speak to the store manager who told us that they had found out about the mix up an hour and a half ago. And they did not intend to notify my niece until they could make sure the dress was in good condition. If the dress had been in good condition they would have just given her the dress and not ever told her that it was mistakenly given to someone else that had it in their possession for two-plus weeks. On 6-5 I followed up with the store manager Mary, she stated we could return the dress to the store for a refund. I told her that was not an option to do that because the wedding was in 12 days. She said "I do not care" I did call the cooperate number and issue a complaint I am still waiting to hear back from David's Bridal cooperate office in reference to this matter. I'm starting to feel like a David's Bridal veteran. Let me say I have been to over a dozen David's Bridals over the years. I have never been too impressed, the dresses always seem over priced and the service spread thin among countless swooning brides, but I'm pretty sure that's just the industry. But when it became my turn as a bride, DB was my only option that had dresses in my price range, I was pretty bummed about that! But let me tell you, these ladies at THIS DB made my experiences perfect, every time! From trying on my own gowns to alterations, and helping me dress up mannequins to help me visualize my big day, these ladies are all in, totally committed to the bridal experience. They might be busy, but when it's your turn, you get their undivided attention!! They even helped me try on baby bumps with bridesmaid dresses to see which styles my MOH could get away with. I wish I could name them all (or remember all their names) but a huge shout out to Hannah and Tj, and Mary for running such a great staff!!! A helpful hint to brides and bridal party: - Always make an appointment - plan on your appointment starting late, don't get upset, it's just the way it is, brides before you want everything to be perfect, just like you! If they need 10 extra minutes to make all their dreams come true, be patient, because I assure you, when it's your time, you'll want that extra time too!! And I guarantee your consultant will work over her shift to make sure you are happy too. -plan on YOUR appointment running late too and give yourself plenty of time. Don't get mad at the consultant because you have to leave exactly in an hour and a half. Give yourself time to enjoy the experience. - eat and drink before you go. So, I hate being this person but I am posting this to try and get someone from david bridals attention. I am getting married in a week. I went to David's to get a dress and the first person there got our dress and was awesome. Everything went fast.... then she forgot about us. So she was getting alterations for us. We waited 30min-an hour to be told "I don't have time" so we understood she was busy and scheduled a time to come in. I scheduled with one person but got someone else upon arrival who was 30 min late for our appointment. I got my fitting done. She said pick it up May 11th. Which my wedding is the 19th and I was like "I'm nervous about that. If something is wrong I won't have time to fix it." She assured me nothing would be wrong and I scheduled it. 200 dollars... i was quoted 60-90. So that was a shock. I paid it though and left. Big day comes. May 11th.... I pick my dress up and the crossing in the back was not done. I paid 30 dollars for that. Then, the dress was not short and tea length the way I wanted. AT ALL. past my ankles and I had made it very clear I wanted it shin length and she measured. My dress was not steamed or ready upon appointment arrival. Also, the lady who did my dress was not who measured me or anything. Upon leaving I stated these things weren't done and that the dress was beautiful it just wasn't what I asked for but I'd gladly take it I would just like to be reimbursed. They refused. So I paid up to 100 dollars for stuff that was not done. She said she would fix it and I told her no because I had one week and honestly did not trust them with my dress at this point. I just wanted my money back. She did a great job just not what I wanted. So, I'm posting this because I should 100% be reimbursed and that was a total rip off. I am not a bridezilla... but I ain't rich. So, paying for stuff that didn't even get done was just like throwing my money in the trash. Again, beautiful work. Just not what I asked for. Please reimburse me. Thank you. P.s. I even asked if they couldn't reimburse me to just comp these foot things I wanted that were 14 dollars and they couldn't even do that. David's Bridal is the biggest scam currently being perpetrated on the American public. The dresses are over-priced, poorly-conceived and even more poorly constructed. I waited 20 minutes for the nice, but completely overwhelmed saleslady to bring me only 1 of the 2 bridesmaids dresses I asked to see and then she basically forgot about me. They didn't have one in my size and I was forced to assume that the next size down would be the correct size. I was concerned about getting the dress ordered so that I could have it for the wedding (more than two months away) so I ordered it. I picked up my dress, weeks later and guess what? It isn't the right size, it's too big! Yea!! Here's the good news though: I get to pay to have this dress altered because I can't exchange it. Honestly the WORST customer service and the WORST return/exchange policies of any company in the United States. Gas stations and street vendors are more reputable. I will NEVER be a part of another wedding that has anything to do with David's Bridal. read more

Worst customer service I have ever received! I wanted to have a fitting for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom's dress. When I arrived they were rude and would only let me try on dresses stating the others needed separate appointments even though I made the appointment for all of us to try on dresses. There was no one else in store on a Monday afternoon so I'm not sure why it was such a burden to let my 2 bridesmaids try on dresses. Also when my appointment time was coming to an end the consultation told me I couldn't try on anymore dresses that I would either need to go with one I had liked in the beginning or make another appointment to try on others. Again there was no one in the store nor was it close to closing time but I was rushed to make decisions. Luckily I had already fallen in love with a dress so I purchased it but there is where more problems arise. After purchasing a final sale dress I realized that they never mentioned when the dress would be arriving for pickup. So I asked and they let me know Oct 9th which is 2 WEEKS before my wedding! They knew this before I walked in and when I walked in bc it's asked a million times in a million ways but yet no one thought it should be communicated that the dress might not make it in time for the wedding. Especially when they then tell me 1-2 months for alterations! So when I say to the consultation and manager that doesn't work they tell me it will be rushed. What does rushed mean you ask? Nothing! Because when I asked a couple weeks later they said the rush request had been denied by the warehouse. But no one bothered to call me to tell me this. I only found out when my bridesmaid went back to try on dresses and again received awful customer service bc she was there for 3 hours and found a dress only to be told it didn't come in my color. Why show her dresses if they can't be ordered in my color? Ridiculous waste of time! Then she picks a dress and they tell her it will be in by November. Again they have no concept of time. That's after the wedding. So we will not be spending anymore money here. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I am really surprised to see that I am the first one to write a review for this David's Bridal. I went in a few months ago, after booking an appointment a month prior because my sisters were coming into town and going with me to try on wedding dresses, AND bridesmaids dresses. Whilie trying on wedding dresses, the lady that helped me was nice and helpful. I was greeted quickly. The lady didn't spend much time consulting with me on what I wanted in a wedding dress, but just told me she would pick a couple, and we were welcome to look around and pick out a couple more to try on. While looking my sisters and I had picked about 3 wedding dresses for me to try on, the lady came over to us and stated that usually, brides only try on about 3-5 dresses. Now, I have never shopped for a dress, but I am pretty sure it takes MORE than 5 dresses before you find the "one". The lady helped me into about 2 dresses before another bride came in, and she started helping her, so my sisters were helping me put all the dresses on, while the lady was helping the other bride. I did find one dress that I liked in particular, but was only there to try on. The manager approched me and said almost in these exact words: if you decide to buy this dress, please buy it at this location because we only work on commission. I also work a commission job, and I understand how hard that can be, but I have NEVER used this as an excuse to make a sale. Not only did they say that to me, but everything that I liked (bridesmaids dresses) I was told I had to buy them right then because the dress was either not going to be on sale after the weekend, or were discontinued. I did not buy a dress that day because I wanted to wait until I went to visit my mother so she could help me decide when we went into another davids bridal so she could see what I had liked. I would have come home and bought from there if I decided on one. When the manager and the lady figured out that I was not ready to purchace a dress, they completely ignored me and helped the other bride. I just think that the women that are going here looking for a wedding dress should not be bombarded with your poor sales tactics and your careless attitude towards the brides important day. Go to your local bridal shop where the prices are the same, and the staff really care about your important day and make the experiance extra special. I have shopped here in the past, and I am always left disappointed. Do not waste your time. read more

Went to Davids bridal this week and after reading the reviews on this and other sites, I was prepared for a bad experience but still wanted to see what dresses they offered. I couldn't have been more wrong!! EVERYONE was soooooo friendly and not pushy and very helpful!! We worked with Anna and she was fantastic!! She let me try on as many as I wanted and re-try my last couple faves. I also really appreciated that she included my mom to help pick accessories so mom felt like she got to contribute. I left feeling so happy and excited about my dress! Would absolutely recommend this location and Anna especially. read more

Special order dresses are made sizes smaller than what 'actually' fits you in store. I was told I must have gained weight, No I actually lost weight since ordering my dress. I was told it must be my bra, No I was wearing the same one I did when trying on dresses. Told them my dress was made in the wrong size and that I could pull the same dress same size off the rack and prove my dress was made too small. I did but still they came up with every excuse as to why it wasn't their fault and still made me pay for alterations. I will never go back! read more

I had a very bad experience today. I came in to look for a wedding dress mind you I didn't have an appt. but they said they could still see me so I filled out a lot of paperwork and waited for 20min. While I waited I there were 2 more customers that came in after me and quickly were taken to the back and helped. This was a horrible experience for me so I walked out. I expressed to the lady in the front why I was leaving. I'm getting married on Friday and I was told that David's Bridal would make my experience GREAT. My daughter set an appointment last year to choose her gown. She was prepared to just look that day and did a ton of online research about what dresses she liked. While they didn't have the exact dress she found online, they went out of their way to show her dresses with similar features knowing full well she wanted that other dress. After trying on a couple, they grabbed a dress that meet several of her needs and put it on her. It was perfect, they had her size, and we were on our way after setting an appointment for alterations and having a celebration at finding the one. The fitting and alterations went very well. Mind you, having a dress altered is pricey. After taking it home, i found the ribbon on the sash was frayed. I called them and they immediately had me bring it in. It was fixed quickly with no hassle whatsoever. Every single time we were in the store we were treated very well. read more

The Positive: I will give five stars to Taylor McMurtry for her help in finding a wedding dress for my daughter. She completely understood what my daughter was looking for and was very patient. Thank you, Taylor!! The Negative: The condition of the store was deplorable...the chairs for guests to sit in were awful...splits in fabric and very uncomfortable. The inventory for accessories was nil...we waited for quite some time for another client to finish trying on a particular hair barrette that my daughter was interested in trying on (there apparently was only one of this particular kind), and we finally gave up. With supposedly this David's Bridal being the largest in Kansas City, how can this be allowed to happen? It was a depressing environment on a day that should be happy. read more

I'm no young, size 2 bridesmaid either, but she made me feel beautiful. Terrible customer service!!! Made an appointment a few weeks in advance for bridesmaid dress shopping/fitting. When we showed up the girl at the counter wasn't helpful and seemed more than annoyed that I had multiple bridesmaids with me. Once she took our names she began helping someone else without giving us direction on where to go, where to start looking or who to speak with. We had to ask if there was somewhere we should go and she lifted her hand saying "bridesmaid dresses are over there". The whole experience was excruciating and It seemed like they were more than ready to rush us out of the door. For a new bride or even the bridesmaids you should be offered a pleasant experience for such an exciting time and the women in this store were less then happy or helpful. While we were there I was watching brides-to-be trying on dresses with no help, no one to offer them assistance or even help secure the back of their dress. HORRIBLE!!!! read more
