We came in to look at bridesmaids dresses for my sisters wedding and we could not have been more disappointed with the selection and quality of the dresses at David's Bridal. Our "consultant" (using the term lightly) clearly didn't have the experience to really help us other than bringing in sizes. We asked for a few new criteria as the appointment progressed, with no change to the styles brought to us. Everything was ill-fitting and ill-proportioned. About 30 minutes into the 1.5 hour appointment we had realized there clearly was not anything there for us and ended the experience right then and there. Save yourself the trip and spend the extra $40 on a dress that has some quality to it. read more

I was in at Davids Bridal on Sunday the 9th with my 2 bridesmaids looking for bridesmaids dresses. We had booked an appointment over 4 months in advance and woke up super early so we could be on time for our appointment at 11 (we drove from North Van). We were the first ones in line and first ones to fill out our new client forms. While we waited to be assigned a consultant, many of the brides who came in after were being helped and already in dressing rooms trying on both bridal and bridesmaid dresses. Once the manager saw i had been waiting she brought us to a change room and gave us Diane as a consultant. Diane had already been assigned to another bridal party and was helping them find bridesmaid dresses. So now Diane had 2 groups to help. When we were waiting for a consultant we had picked about 4 or 5 dresses to try on so we started with those. The whole appointment was myself (bride) having to run around trying to find dresses and sizes (I had no idea where to look as it was my first time there.) Diane would comment every now and then because her other group was right beside us. Then for a good 15 mins she and her other group vanished. We were told she'd be right back to take our measurements but she was taking the other groups payment and chatting with them. She came back and apologized and the appointment wrapped up. We found a dress we all loved but will purchase it elsewhere if we find something similar. I dont want to go back to feel that way again. Overall I felt very pushed to the side and discarded. Its not fair to have to share a consultant. Id rather wait till later in the day to ensure i have someone who can focus thier time on one priority. Just to say, Davids Bridal, please ensure you have enough consultants for the appointments booked. read more

UPDATE: Just came from the store after what happened from my first review. Darlene called to know better what happened and I booked an appointment with alteration department to fix my dress. They were very helpful and nice. They easily fixed the dress in few ours. I got the dress in the same afternoon. This review on behalf of my best friend: I was hesitant to make an appointment at this location to find my wedding dress because I heard bad and unhappy comments/reviews from friends who went here. I walked into the store and it was BUSY. As i walked up to the counter to check in I was greeted by this warm, very welcoming and friendly face. Our consultant's name is Zelna. She introduced herself and with a big smile she brought me to the fitting room. She asked the usual questions. She took my measurements. She started bringing dresses for me to try. I had an idea of the styles i wanted but I was open to trying on a different style than before. Half way through the appointment I had to clarify with her my budget. As I actually don't remember her asking me Once that was established she and brought me THE dress!!! Overall MY experience was wonderful, non pressured and i appreciate all the effort my consultant put in to help me find my dream dress. I didn't actually buy my gown from David's Bridal, but when we went to try dresses on, I had a pretty good experience. They are like the K-Mart of bridal shops, so you don't get the privacy or special moments that you may be able to get with another store, and plus there are a whole bunch of other people trying on gowns around you which isn't ideal. Plus, the lighting and quality of gown leaves a lot to be desired. But the sales people are nice and patient, and they seem to know their stuff. It's easy to get an appointment with David's and they have a HUGE selection of bridesmaid's dresses. read more

I helped my mother-in-law and mother purchase dresses and accessories at this location. My wedding dress was not purchased here (I'm thinking that was a good thing). My mother-in-law had her purse and shoes dyed to match her dress and the items came back with flaws. She spoke with the store manager and was able to get a new purse that could also be dyed. My mother-in-law decided to check in on her second purse 5 days after it was to be done and it was sitting on the same self in the back where it was left still not dyed. Twice my mother-in-law had to drive into the store as the staff could not locate her order. I have to say the store manager Joy was the only saving grace in this situation. She rectified the situation, apologized (which did not happen with other acting managers during the day), offered to call my mother-in-law to also apologize, and offered a solution. She does care and for that I am thankful. I thought I was going to be left with a bad taste in my mouth but the situation was averted. Big thank you to Joy! read more

All four of these stars are for Natalie! I had a disaster with my first dress (ordered a monique lhuillier in my size and it turned out bright pink) just a week before the wedding. I called David's Bridal and spoke with Natalie on the phone and gave her the style numbers i wanted to try on. She wrote everything down and had it ready for me when I got in. However, when I arrived, no one at the front desk could help me, nor did they even pay much attention to me. I watched at multiple staff just ignored me and chatted and played on their phone. The only front desk person who was doing any work was Elle, and she quickly saw to me once she finished with customers. Natalie was very nice, quick, just all around great at her job. I have nothing but good things to say about David's Bridal. I had two months to plan my wedding and thought that finding a dress that I would love would cost me an arm and a leg. I went to David's because of their selection and not expecting much because I'd read some negative reviews. I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. I pulled about 3 dresses from the racks and was disappointed with my selections, each dress didn't give me that "aha" moment that every bride wants. My dress was one that someone else had tried on and was just hanging in the change area. I tried it on and fell in love. My dress was exactly what I wanted, flowy and beachy and totally me. It had just enough bling on the waist to give it some dazzle but the rest was simple and elegant. The staff at David's are awesome. Shanaz goes out of her way to make every bride feel special and to accommodate requests. Mitra the alterations guru is a dream to work with, very patient, kind and thoughtful. I purchased a bridesmaids dress and Shanaz managed to have it rushed ship, the dress arrived in time with no alterations needed. Everyone looked awesome on our big day on a beautiful day on October 24th, 2015. David's helped to create that for us. I highly recommend David's. I was SO NERVOUS going into this whole wedding dress shopping process, but Pamela welcomed us into the store and blew all of the worries away. She kept it fun with lots of laughs, quick (in a good way - if something wasn't right, we were on to the next dress right away), and so easy. I am so grateful for the kindness of the staff at this location. I bought my dress in California and flew with it because our wedding was in Vancouver. When it went through the security conveyor at the airport, the garment bag got extremely dirty and it transferred onto my dress. I called the Langley location crying and the sweetest salesperson, Christine was so kind and calming and told me to bring it in so she could see what she could do. When I entered the store she gave me the kindest greeting and worked her magic and completely restored my dress back to new!! I went to David's Bridal this past Saturday for an alteration to a bridesmaid dress I ordered online. Instead of assiting me in ordering in another size or exchanging the dress I bought online with another style in the same colour in the store, I was told that they have "no affiliation" with the David's Bridal online store and couldn't help me. I then asked for a customer service number and they said they did not have one. I had to google the number only to find out that the customer service department was closed on the weekends. When I spoke to the manager again, pretty much pleading for her help as the wedding is in only 4 weeks. The only option she gave me was to purchase a new off-the-rach dress for $150 and deal with the online David's Bridal store on my own with no gaurentee I would be refunded. So now I'm stuck with a dress that doesn't fit and a wedding in 4 weeks. I find it very hard to believe that the retail store has "no affiliation" with the online store. I've ordered from other stores online and have ALWAYS been able to return or exchange at any retail store. BEWARE: Do not order online unless you know your size as I have now learned that the sizes at David's Bridal run SMALL. The retail store will not exchange for you. read more

Let me start by saying that we have had incredibly positive experiences at the Burlington location where my wife bought her wedding dress last year. My wife is now a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding, and we have had nothing but problems with this location. We have found their customer service to be poor, their ability to track orders flawed, and in general not a rewarding experience whatsoever. Initially, my wife went with the rest of the bridal party for fittings. They failed to mention key elements about how the two different sizes that they were considering for my wife would affect the length of the dress, so that when we finally got the dress it was too short, as was one of the other bridesmaids (it was so short, that it would have been highly inappropriate to wear in public). As well, they made some serious mistakes at entering the fittings into the system, so that when I went to order the dress and pay for it - they couldn't find it in the system. It wasn't under the bride's name, it wasn't under my wife's name. They did not even apologize to me for my inconvenience. Eventually they sorted this out, and my wife had to go back in and pay for it - keep in mind that we do not live in Langley - and this was an inconvenience for us. Now the bridesmaids have all had to go back and re-order the dresses with just enough time to get ones that will be the right length, but will need some alterations to make them fit properly. I will never recommend this location to anyone. Go to Burlington - the drive is worth it. read more

Just a terrible bridesmaid experience!! All about getting high numbers of customers, without caring how the dresses fit and work for the bridesmaids. DO NOT EXPECT SERVICE AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT YOUR DRESS! When we took my bridesmaid dress out of the dress bag for the first time, we saw that it had a long seam sewn backwards so that it showed on the outside of the dress, as well as having a lot of dust in the fabric on the bottom of the dress. None of our other bridesmaid dresses had any of these problems, and they had all been stored the same way. So, we assumed that the dirt on the dress came from the store. We drove an hour out of our way to bring it back to David's for them to fix it, and the Assistant Store Manager was extremely rude to us throughout the interaction. She didn't at all apologize for the inconvenience that coming all the way back to her store was for something they should have checked- that the dress were all clean and sewn properly. She even said "Well, I don't want to have to fix this myself" to our faces. When we asked if I could have cups sewn in at the same time as they were fixing the seam on the dress, she said that she would waive the $29 rush fee (An expensive rush fee on sewing in cups? Seriously?), but still charge us $23 for cups. Really? That couldn't have been on the house after the several hours of extra driving your store caused? When she was noting down the cup sizing for the alteration, I tried to tell her that I was a small size and wondered if the cups could be fitted to me. She lectured me for several minutes about how they only do standard cup sizing that matched how the dress was made, and I didn't need to try on the dress for them or give them any information about my chest size or height. Her favourite phrase was "chest cavity of the dress", which I heard numerous times. The abrasive tone of the Assistant Manager had my friend, the bride, coming to tears. When I went to pick up the dress, the lady who had done the alterations was a bit more friendly. However, she didn't actually care about how the dress fit. I noticed right away that the cups were too high, and the bottom of the cups dug into my breasts. The alterations lady just yanked down the front of the dress and told me it was fine. I tried the dress on again when I got home, and I saw that they had given my C cups (which makes me look like I got a breast implant surgery!) and also sit about an inch higher than my breasts really sit (since I am taller than the "ideal height" that the dress was made for). Now I need to take my dress somewhere else for them to actually fit cups for me. What a waste of money and time! The prices were good, but the service is TERRIBLE and I will not be going back. read more

My experience at Davids Bridal has so far been an absolute pleasure. I have had two separate appointments and booked the same consultant twice because she was an absolute dream. If you can choose your consultant, pick Jessica! As mentioned in other reviews, you are given an iPad to pick your first lot of dresses and get started, which I thought was a really great idea to see the whole range. I came in with my mother for the first appointment and we were both treated very kindly by the whole staff throughout. It was a very busy day and Jessica was balancing us with another bride, although that was no issue for me. They had all bar one of the gowns that I wanted to try from the iPad, and after we had gone through them all Jessica pulled more dresses for me based on what I had liked/disliked. We ended up running over our appointment time which did not at all seem to concern anyone. At the end of my first visit I had 4 favourite dresses (would you believe it) ranging from $499-$999. I am a bride on a budget so this was amazing for me - if you are looking for $2000+ dresses, this is not the store for you (however they have a fabulous range of what I would consider 'high end' dresses from Vera Wang). I brought more people to my second appointment (so had 3 people with me) which was not an issue again - even though the store was once again very busy, they sourced more chairs for us so everyone could sit. Jessica's dress recommendation from the first visit ended up being my number one pick, however as David's bridal was the only store I had been to, I didn't want to rush into my purchase and not look elsewhere. Jessica was very kind and patient with me - I am not the best decision maker, and said that she was behind me all the way if I wanted to look elsewhere. I visited a few other stores out in New West, and concluded that they were all over the budget for me, so visited David's again and bought the dress - Jessica, I just want to say again, thank you so so so so much!!! I'm sorry you weren't there when I went in to buy it, but hopefully I will see you again when I go in for alterations. To other brides - David's is great for those of us who can't afford to spend $1000+ on a dress, they have a great range of dresses in all colours and shades. I would suggest coming here to have a look even if you do have a large budget, they do have some truly beautiful gowns (like mine!). read more

THE WORST COSTOMER SERVICE! I had called in to asked if they carried lace boleros and what kind do they have currently available in the store. She said, "ill check" After waiting for almost 20mins. on the phone for her she comes back and asks "oh, how may I help you?" My reply, " are you the same person that was helping me? This review is for our fantastic consultant Danielle, and the co-store manager Shanaz. I had a unique situation in that I went to David's Bridal in March to pick a dress for my friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. I chose one and it was special ordered. It then arrived in May and I went to pick it up, and I had to get another bridesmaid dress for another wedding. Unfortunately, the one I "special ordered" is for a wedding that is no longer happening so I was figuring I would be stuck with a dress that I didn't need. I explained my situation to Danielle, who tirelessly explained it to Shanaz and they helped me chose a new one, and allowed me to return my old one due to the circumstances. I was very appreciative of everything they did in that regard. As for the consultant Danielle, I cannot say more positive things about her. I took my mom with me as well to find a "mother of the bride dress" (as I am ALSO getting married this summer) and our experience was wonderful. There was all the things from above, and we felt non-pressured and Danielle helped with absolutely everything we needed. We appreciated all the effort she put in to help us find our dresses. I've been sitting on this review for a few weeks as I've been torn about writing it. I went in almost 2 months ago with my MOH to try on some dresses. Roxanne was my consultant. She was great, I had so much fun. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on. My mom wanted to be with me when I bought my dress, so I didn't purchase my dress that day. I had an appointment 2 weeks later for my bridesmaids dresses, again with Roxanne. My mom was unable to come, so I was planning on buying my dress when I was there with my bridesmaids. I called David's to let them know. First off, Roxanne was running late with a different appt. The manager pulled dresses for my girls. Roxanne was MIA for most of our appt. At one point she was gone for over 30 minutes. She was busy with her other appt. My girls only tried on 4 dresses. I had spotted another dress on a girl and asked to have it pulled for my girls, and I didn't realize till later it was never pulled. We felt forgot about and left empty handed for the girls. I bought my dress, and the manager and consultant asked me no less than 3 times to please review them. After not a great appt, that left a bad taste in my mouth. You shouldn't ask repeatedly for a review. My dress was supposed to come in September. It came 3 weeks after I ordered. They called me on a Thursday saying it arrived the previous day. I then only had 6 days to pick up. And they told me they prefer weekday pickups so they can actually spend time with me and aren't busy with appts. That didn't leave me a lot of time to arrange getting my dress, as it was Thursday and they're closed Monday. I went Friday night. Roxanne was up front, and again didn't recognize me. Another consultant went to get my dress. And she didn't look overly happy to be helping me. She hung my dress, in the bag still, at a dressing room and walked away. I took my dress in the room and got it out of the bag. I was by myself and needed help into the dress so i popped out of the room. The same consultant was there and I had to wait awkwardly with my dress open for help. She finally came over, and then loudly said she couldn't get it zipped up and I needed it let out. I quietly told her it's fine. She loudly said it again and left to get someone from alterations. I was mortified. I was left standing with my dress open. Alterations came over, she was very sweet and nice. She got my dress zipped up no problem. When I was done and left the change room, no one acknowledged me. I felt that since I bought my dress they were done with me. No one said anything to me as I walked out. Not sure why I couldn't come in on the weekend, seeing as they spent almost no time with me. My fiance was waiting outside for me and when he saw how upset I was, he wanted to go in and say something. My first appointment was great. Everything after that was downhill. I had originally planned on buying all my bridesmaids dresses there, but won't now. read more

My Maid of Honor made an appointment here last May to try on bridesmaids dresses for my wedding in August. I had three bridesmaids, one flower girl, plus my mother-in-law with me. We arrived on time for our appointment and were told a consultant would be with us momentarily. After waiting 30 mins by the doors, we made an executive decision to start pulling dresses ourselves. There were at least four dressing rooms not being used, but were told we had to wait until the previous bride was finished in hers. When she was done, we waited about 15 minutes for staff to clear the room, and couldn't find a staff member anywhere so we just started to use the dressing rooms full of bridal dresses anyway. The four girls had to share two dressing rooms. An hour after we first arrived, the consultant finally gave us five minutes of her time to "check-in". We had come prepared with print outs and style numbers to try. She didn't offer to help us pull things and really didn't offer any help whatsoever. It was like pulling teeth. We asked what dresses come in navy. She didn't know. We asked if dresses came in the sizes of the girls. She didn't know. Honestly, she was useless. My MOH directed the entire appointment herself. It took us three hours to do something that really should have taken an hour tops. We did purchase dresses in the end because the dresses were reasonable prices and good quality and we were on a time crunch. (I got engaged in March and decided to have wedding at beginning of August, so we didn't really have time to go to another store.) The dresses themselves get a 5-star rating. They were beautiful. The service would get a zero if I could. I kind of hated giving them the business, but c'est la vie... If you have another option, or bigger budget, go elsewhere. If you have to resort to this place, be organized, firm, and go in prepared and willing to take charge of your appointment. We did not get our alterations done through them because none of us wanted to go back there ever again. Also, when the flower girl dress arrived in the store for pick-up, they gave me a call to say it was ready. I couldn't answer at the time so they left a message. When I called the following day, they told me that if I didn't pick it up by the following day, they were going to send it back! Seriously?! I live in Vancouver, work, and don't have a car, so I had to frantically call all my family and friends in the lower mainland to get someone to go pick it up for me. It was unnecessarily stressful. We paid $150 for a little girls dress and waited 10 weeks for it to arrive - they should be able to hold on to it for a week. read more

I was on the hunt for maternity bridesmaid dresses for a maternity photoshoot. I was absolutely thrilled to find David's Bridal online had a maternity bridesmaid dress line. I needed a dress sooner so I called David's Bridal Langley location and Shanaz answered the phone. She was kind, helpful, and encouraged me to come in and have a look at what they had. I was overjoyed to see how many dresses they had and that many of them were on sale! I have to say, these ladies are working very hard to ensure that they follow every safety measure they can to protect us all from COVID. They steam each dress after it's been tried on, ask all clients to wear masks, and to keep your social distance. I felt safe and conformable while everyone went out of their way to ensure I had the perfect dresses. I went for one, and ended up with three for less than the budget I went in with! I want to review this in two parts. Service & Dress selection. When it comes to dress selection and all sizing - even plus size (in a reasonable price range), I'd give this bridal store a solid 5, compared to other stores I visited within the same price range. I wanted two dresses - one for my ceremony and one for my reception. My problem however is with the service. I bought my two dresses in two separate appointments. First one was with Sarah and it was amazing! She made me feel like a princess and how a bride should feel when going dress shopping. I bought the dress that day and scheduled another appointment for my second dress purchase. Now Sarah was on leave, and I got another consultant - don't remember her name. She was super average and I felt she was over booked, because we had to wait a lot till she came back to us. Anyhow, loved another dress and bought it at the very same appointment. Note: In two single 1.5 hour appointments, I bought two dress - that's how chill I am, so when I say the service was bad, hear me that the service was bad) Now here is where my problem lies, after buying two dresses, two bridal veils, one bridal headpieces (and paying a lot for alterations) at this store, I asked if I can store my dress while we grabbed lunch for 1 hour (I had paid for it too) across the store at Olive Garden. The rep actually said we don't like to do that??? what ever happened to customer service. Politely called the manager, she actually rolled her eyes and huffed and said she "guessed" she could "stick it somewhere". Anyhow, the service is pretty bad (except for Sarah). Alternation wise, my ceremony dress did not need any, however I had my reception dress altered by "AMY" and she did an amazing job! I didn't even need to come back for a second fitting and it was like she had sewn it on my body. My reception dress had a lot of detailed lace and sequence work on it and she did the alterations amazingly without compromising the detailed work on the dress. Excellent job on her part. In short, if you are looking for a beautiful selections of gowns at reasonable prices, this is the place to go for sure! but do not expect much service - which is sad, because this place has the potential to be great, if they paid attention to their service. read more

I have actually never written a review for anything before. That should say something. I unfortunately made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I went to the store. My first time going to the store, I was only told ONCE I had arrived that I was only allowed to try on 5 dresses. That's pretty disheartening to hear because already it sets the precedent that your first priority is not to make sure the bride finds her dress... instead, you are prioritizing your own convenience. I started trying the dresses, and I firstly felt awkward because the change room is all mirrors and all the rooms were booked up with brides all side-to-side. It's awkward and makes you feel like you're comparing yourself to one another. Especially since they have such a limited amount of dresses compared to their site, all the brides were trying on the same dresses. I didn't dislike the dresses, but I also didn't feel in LOVE with any of them. This is hard to gage though because I find the shows of people crying over their "right dress" not realistic. You could tell that everyone is in it for the sales because they're all running around throwing the same generic compliments at everyone to push them to get a dress. I went in pretty open and told the consultant that I didn't know which direction I'd be moving in and would love some help finding a dress. Long story short, I was pushed into buying a dress that I realized that same night was not me at ALL. I spent the entire night bawling my eyes out. They had sold it by telling me they'd be giving a $200 discount, however when it came to all details to the transaction, it was all told to my mom and her friend, not me. I was the one paying for my dress, so I was really annoyed when they later tried telling me that they had told me it was a "final sale" because of the "big discount" they gave (according to my receipt, it says "-$75" not 200, and it was clear that they don't hold their words into a high regard. The final sale should have been made clear to ME, not anyone else. I was told not to worry because as long as the dress wasn't ordered, I'd be allowed to return it. So when I was crying all night, this is what I held onto. I called the very next morning as soon as the store opened. Customer Service told me that returns are definitely allowed, even if it's final sale, but it's upto the store. When I spoke to the worker who answered the phone, she informed me that my dress order had not been put through yet... which is GREAT.... but when the manager of the store (not Kristen, who was lovely) got on the phone, she was condescending and told me "we told you it was final sale, because we gave you such a great discount" which I informed to her wasn't told to me. I really didn't want to deal with the stress and I didn't want this to taint my experience with planning my wedding, because everything else was going pretty smoothly. I asked for solutions and they said they could give it to me as credit. This was a LOT of money, so I had no other choice, and I decided I would use it towards my bridesmaid dresses (I didn't find any dresses that were nice). When I came with my bridesmaids, the consultant given to us was not helpful and was disappearing a lot. After the appointment two of the bridesmaids told me how the consultant was talking about how long her day was and was saying the down side of her job is when appointments went over her shift end time (Which was apparently 3pm) and we were there till 3:15. It is unbelievably UNPROFESSIONAL to be telling your clients to essentially hurry up. I came back twice again to pick up dresses and for another bridesmaid. Both times I wasn't told about dresses that already arrived, so I wonder how much time would have gone by without me knowing. I went last week because we noticed that one of the dresses was missing a clasp. They told me that another dress had arrived two weeks ago (again, I was never contacted about this). As I waited, I wanted to speak to someone about the credit I had left. There was $130 left, but I had already gotten dresses for 4 bridesmaids, and one actually bought one for another wedding so she could help using it up by paying me back. I had done my best to use my credit so I kindly asked if I could get that money back or if at the very least it could be put on a gift card, because I was leaving the country soon, and didn't want to lose the receipt. The same manager, came and told me it wasn't possible, and they don't even keep that information on my file (which was false because her and the nice receptionist pulled it up) and condescendingly said she could 'give me an envelope" to help me not lose the receipt. I am so hurt and this has tainted my wedding experience. They don't care about the brides. They care about the money. It makes me feel sick because it was SO MUCH MONEY. read more

The entire experience from the hiccups to the final purchase was excellent. My wedding is a year away, and already, thanks to the wonderful folks at David's Bridal, I have my entire bridal party (Bridesmaids, MOB and myself) attired. There were a few hiccups with ordering my MOB's dress from another store, but Joy (the manager) didn't stop until everything had been sorted out. I was constantly updated with the status of every little fix. It was amazing service! I walked in with my bridesmaids on a few different occasions, without an appointment, and after a short wait, they always made room for us. With different body shapes on all my bridesmaids, it was still fairly easy to find a dress that will compliment all of them! As for my dress selection experience, it was awesome. Emily was amazing at my first attempt to find a dress, but we just didn't find THE one. I came back a few weeks later, I told Joy what I was looking for, showed her a picture from a different store, and she pulled a dress that brought me to tears as soon as I saw myself in the mirror. Can not get over how amazing the customer service was from this woman. She was a delight to work with, even when trying to sort out the incorrect charges. I find that as long as you are not behaving like a demanding bridezilla and entourage, then people will always give you their best and do everything they can to make your experience awesome. I really hope whoever closed your Langley British Columbia store on 2015/05/27 owns it, as the costumer service at that location is horrible. I spent over an hour attempting to call and make an appointment and finally i just let the phone ring for 5 mins. A lady answered the phone but she sounded annoyed, i told her i wished to make an appointment and asked for her name, as she didn't introduce herself. she hummed and hawed and acted 'surprised' in a sarcastic way that i was looking to book an appointment, she still didn't provide a name and just put me on hold, this was at 6:26pm, at the time i am writing this (7:22pm) i am still on hold, and the store closed at 7pm. apparently Davids Bridal Store in Langley is having such good business that they can treat their potential customers like assholes. Sadly i will not be giving my business to Davids Bridal, and i will not be recommending it to any of my friends or family. when people down the line ask me or my wife were we got our wedding dress, ill plug the store we buy it from, and ill mention the incredibly unprofessional attitude of the costumer service representatives at David's Bridal Clothing. weddings are stressful and a zoo in planning, i expect people in this line of business to be professional and understand that, this is unacceptable and childish behavior. read more

Picking out the dress...EASY! Paying for the dress...INEXPENSIVE!!! Actually getting the dress in your hands.......... IMPOSSIBLE. Its been over a month of my giving my address over and over only to be told the dress was "delivered mam" but here's the thing....it was sitting in the back of the store the whole time. Now its finally been shipped promised to arrive two days ago and still not here. There goes wearing it this weekend as planned. Thanks for nothing Davids Bridal. read more

I had a fabulous experience with their customer service today. Very different from most of the bridal stores that I had previously gone to. Tanya was my main consultant, but I had several consultants help me in my choices and I was very well treated by all of them. Their bell ceremony when I "said yes to the dress" was also very special. Thank you for that. I felt a bit pressured into buying my dress because discounts were only available for a certain time period, but I really did love my dress. I bought it...now let's hope everything else in terms of arrival and alterations goes well :) Would certainly recommend. read more

I had a great experience getting my wedding dress here! I got my dress here for such a reasonable price, and the assistant helping me was just lovely. She was so helpful, and never got impatient or seemed uninterested or stumped (like some of the others I dealt with elsewhere). I absolutely loved my dress, and they were able to order it in a few months, which was amazing. I also got a free veil with it, which was amazing! The only thing that I would say about this store that may not be great is the alterations - after the first fitting, it was really too tight, and there was a bit of a panic to let it out again. I still feel like it was a tiny bit tight on the day (and no, I didn't gain weight!) and that the alterations department were not as friendly as they might have been. read more

I had my wedding dress shopping appointment on a busy Saturday afternoon. I brought my mom and sister/MOH with me. My expectation of the appointment: I thought I'd try a few of my dress choices and get an idea of what style of dress I liked on. My experience: I tried a few of my top picks and then my fabulous stylist Tanya brought me a couple more gowns to try on based on what I had liked so far. And then I found my dress. It was nothing I recall looking at on the website. It was perfect. Thank you Tanya for helping me find my vision! I had a great time and am now looking forward to enjoying our big day. read more

Had to order my MOH dress when I was 38 weeks pregnant. I thought I was going to likely be a size 8, but the sales lady suggested going a size up because 'you just never know'. Which is true, but I should have listened to my gut it turns out. 3 weeks later I return to the store with my 2 week old daughter in tow, to pick up another bridesmaid's dress that arrived earlier than the others, which happened to be the size I 'thought' I would be. The original sales person mentioned that I would be able to switch the size if I needed to and there was still time to do so. I tried on the dress and aside from the length it's perfect! Ended up getting helped by the manager Alisa, who not only was happy to help me out and switch the size ordered but also took the time to search through their sales to find the stores copy of the receipt. I had left my original receipt at home which is 30 minutes away AND I have my newborn with me (you need to have your receipt with you when doing this sort of thing obviously, but blame it on the lack of sleep!). Didn't even want to press 1 star! Worse experience ever! I've never been so excited in my life prior too arriving to try on my wedding dress. Arrived at 2:50pm and my appointment was for 3pm. We started looking around since we were ten minutes early. Right away a sales rep from Moores approached us for the suites etc. We ended up walking around for 30 minutes! During this time NO ONE came and told us what was going on. I ended up coming across some that weren't on the manikin, so I chose to take them off the rack; three all together. A sales rep came up "Hello! Who's helping you? Appointment is under? And you're not allowed to take more than 2 dresses at a time, so I'll take these, put them aside and someone soon will be with you soon" So not only I was not to touch any other dresses I didn't even get to try one on. NO ONE came to help. We waited another 10 minutes and left! I've never been so dissatisfied in my life. I've now had to reschedule another appointment with another company because it's quite obvious these "sale reps" aren't interested in selling. They where over booked. They never called me after me leaving the store to find out...hmm I wonder where that appointment went. read more

Update. On Thursday, the Territory manager Darlene called and discussed what occurred. She did not admit to educating her store managers that way, however, i did reiterate why this store manager insisted that her manager fully supports her actions? Darlene sighed alot as i spoke to her. I was not impressed with her due to this. In the end, they did not admit to their error. She did apologize for Alisa Loch, the store manager, of her actions at that visit and agreed to a full refund. Went in today and dealt with the assistant store manager manyelynn. She was much more pleasant than Alisa by 1000%. Maybe she should be the manager and have Alisa re-trained in customer service and being a consultant for a while. I'm just relieved i do not have to step into that store again. I'm still going to give 1 star as it was not handled well. read more
