The first thing she did was ask my name and then gave me, my mom and my fiancé's sister the biggest hugs! This establishment was the worst experience, my bridal party and I came in to try on dresses for my vow renewal ceremony. We had no appointment, we just walked in. We were greeted warmly, which I admit was probably the best part of our experience. We were helped by young girl her name was Isabelle, she rushed us forgot to get our measurements and misled us to believe a dress was on sale and when it was rung it turned out to be full price and sound not honor her original price she told us. Isabelle told us we only had an hour to try on dresses. She stopped us from trying on more dresses because our "hour" was up. She said you can have another hour to try on bridesmaids dresses, then we would have to book another appointment. The girls tried on bridesmaids dresses and once again we were told by Isabelle that hour was up and we had to leave the store. Are you kidding me?? How could your company be so callus and incentive? Shame on you for treating your customers this way. Train your associates to not behave in such a manner. read more

Super friendly staff here. I made an appointment, they called to follow up and confirm. When I arrived they were assisting others but allowed me to browse while I waited. My friend is very proactive. She had picked out the dresses for us and I was able to go try them both on. Kendall was very helpful in clipping the dress when the dress was too big and helping zip and unzip. She helped confirm my correct size, which I had an idea prior to showing up. She was able to give me a rough estimate on how long it would take for the dress to arrive and when I needed to return to have alterations done as well. Very mindful. Very efficient. read more

I have only ever gone to one other David's Bridal location (and multiple times) and we've always had a horrible experience. But this location in Madison, TN has changed my outlook on the company altogether. I was greeted at the welcome desk, the staff was transparent with me and amazingly friendly. Melinda, the alterations manager, was fantastic to work with! I know she was busy juggling a few brides and I still felt like I had her full undivided attention. She was incredibly helpful and I feel good about leaving my dress with her! The store itself was clean and in an easy to find location. Wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in the door, store manager made us feel super welcome. Our consultant! Teonka was on spot in helping my daughter find the perfect dress. Is this new management? I cannot imagine giving this location anything less than 5 stars based on our experience today and several other times for wedding party dresses. On the other hand, a certain warehouse down the street has unbelievably unprofessional staff and subpar quality fabrics. I can't wait until the beautiful day of my daughter's wedding. the experience itself was amazing, the issue i had was after being told i was going to be able to later that day put it in layaway, im broke but my family was gonna do everything in their power to get me the dress i fell in love with it, as a broke person we tend to verify the prices more then once and after i called she was trying to charge me double the amount then what was originally priced the worst part of all this is she was a manager her name was Sheila I believe she even quote me my 2nd favor dress and tried to say we were basically crazy thinking they would have anything lower then the amount said. theres also a 50% sale on Clearance which is why we were told this dress would be so much cheaper and I thought how much perfect could today be but because of Sheila ive given up on falling in love with anything other then that dress i tried on. read more

I was hesitant to go to Davids Bridal to look for a wedding gown after hearing negative things about them & having had a bad prom dress shopping experience there (10 years ago). However I am so glad that I came to DB I found THE PERFECT wedding dress & my consultant Dana was such a rockstar! Good selection, nice people. DO NOT get your alterations done here and make sure the dress is CLEAN before you buy. When I got my dress back from alterations one strap was way shorter than the other and the beading was still messed up, and there were light stains on the dress after they said it would be cleaned before I got it. read more

Only been to a couple of there stores but every time I've been to one of there locations I've been over looked when they're not busy or treated poorly, or both. My mother is the maid of honor for her friends wedding and they told her they would give her free alterations when she comes back for her fitting. They lied.. the manager was very rude about it as well. I unexpectedly bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal! To be quite honest, I scheduled an appointment for my first time ever, dress fitting. I chose the store because I could get an appointment within a week and it was between me and my best friends house. I did not have expectations for the appointment, I really just wanted to find out what style and size looked best on me. I actually was just going to order a dress online, but my friend convinced me to try on dresses for the experience. First off, I was SO impressed by the store's collection. And THEN, I met my bridal consultant, Dana. She was amazing! She made the experience an EXPERIENCE. She was so excited and passionate about helping me find my dream dress. I tried on 5 different dresses and found the PERFECT dress. It was the exact same dress that I had kept gravitating towards online. What I really appreciated about Dana is not only her genuine passion for helping, but also that when I expressed that I was going to try other venues to know my options, she fully supported me. She was totally sincere in letting me make a decision that was right for me VS pressuring me into a sales. As a sales manage, I totally appreciated this, I walked out the door and turned right back around to come back in to buy my dress. Not only was the dress perfect for me, but so was the experience. I scheduled an appointment here as the first one of three wedding dress appointments for the day. Well, I never made it to the others, because I found my dream dress here with the help of Dana! She was so lively and vivacious, she asked me plenty of questions to figure out what I was looking for exactly and made lots of great suggestions. I met the bride and 5 other bridesmaids on Saturday, June 3rd at David's Bridal to do some bridesmaid dress shopping. The bride had already decided on the look she was going for (material, color, etc). She gave Dana all the details and Dana took care of us. I cannot express how wonderful each and EVERY one of the staff has been upon my 2 visits to the store. Dana was so incredibly warm and cheerful when I stopped by to "browse" with my mom. I left with the dress! My next appointment for my fitting was equally as impressive thanks to the amazingly accommodating Ms. Leila. She took my measurements and pinned 3 layers of my gown to hem only to have me find different shoes (2 inches higher) 20 minutes later! We came here today or my friends wedding dress appointment. We also had an appointment for our bridesmaids dresses. He appointment was first. Our stylist, I honestly don't know that that's their title, seemed super nice. Now that I look at reviews, we should've probably asked for dana, she seems to be on all the reviews. This is the first time most of us bridesmaids had met. Our stylist said we could help our bride pick out a dress. So we all dispersed and looked at dresses. We picked out a few and let our stylist know. To me, there weren't enough styles and options. Nothing that was my cup of tea, however, we weren't there for me so who cares. We waited until the last bridesmaid got there and went to our dressing room area. I really didn't like how congested it was back there. There was another bridal/family party that took up just about the whole area. They had all 5 chairs taken and all other parties just stood, including our group. So since none of us had met before, we didn't know our personalities and such. I feel like we may have taken over our stylists appointment, sorry girl. She did seem to get irritated at one point, and I made sure to ask her if we were being too much. She said she was fine, so carry on. We tried on about 10 dresses and found the one. How exciting!! The alteration lady came over to talk to her. She gave a lot of information and prices. I feel as though maybe a brochure or paper with numbers would've been better. Or even taking her to the side instead of in front of everyone. Next was our bridesmaid dresses and we pretty much found that in one try. Done and done. We paid and left. Yesterday I finally decided to try dress shopping for my wedding. I had literally been dreading the entire process. After booking my appointment I still was not excited at all and had no clue what I was looking for. After meeting Meg we instantly had a bond and I trusted her completely! She put me at easy and changed me from reluctant to excited about having a wedding. An appointment that initially was set as a push to start planning turned into I now have a dress! Thanks to Meg she even picked the dress for me that I loved (even though it was the exact opposite of what I thought I may want). Had my bridal fitting yesterday (June 4) at David's Bridal and it was just as awesome as my first time there (August 2016) searching for my gown! Amanda Lopez was my stylist and was the best! She listened to my wants, likes and dislikes and even understood the concerns I had with some of the gowns I was trying on. Amanda, along with Pat Christmas, were very influential in my decision to say yes to the dress! They helped me see the tiny details as I focused on the silhouette and material of the gown I wanted. Without those two, I would probably still be looking for my perfect gown! Lelia Coward topped my experience yesterday, by adding the finishing touches to my bridal gown! She listened to what I wanted in a bustle and offered suggestions in not only how my gown could fit perfect, but my bridesmaids and their dresses as well! Lelia took her time and made sure all my wedding reception essentials were met during my fitting. Overall, I've enjoyed my experience with the David's Bridal Madison team. I recommend all brides to be to visit this store and work with Amanda, Pat and Lelia! read more

I got my wedding dress here. I love the dress but this place has not been good. First, they ordered my dress in the wrong color. They didn't ask if everything looked okay, but I noticed and had them switch it out. When I came in for alterations, they did not have the supplies to get the job done. I came in two more times with promises that they would do what it takes to get what was needed. It didn't happen. During the whole process, I was met with rudeness. They really don't care about getting your dress perfect for your big day. read more

Full Disclosure: I have a relative who works for David's Bridal. However, that does not get me a discount, head-of-the-line privileges, or any other benefits. But it's not because I didn't ask. When my wife said she needed a special occasion dress, I had no idea that meant four separate trips to the store: (1) Select style and order dress, (2) Pick up dress, and make appointment for alterations (closer to time of the event), (3) Get fitted for alterations, and finally (4) Pick up dress. I have never put that much effort into buying an outfit, but she loves the dress and looks gorgeous in it, so I am a happy man. It must be pretty obvious that I'm not exactly at home in a bridal shop, since they always offered me the "guy" seat at the back of the store. So I got to play with my phone and give my opinion when asked. It also gave me the opportunity to make a couple of observations: The first was that shoppers who showed up on time for their appointments were the most satisfied. People that showed up early didn't seem to be helped any earlier. And people who showed up late got really delayed or rescheduled. And brides-to-be should shop with ONE person whose opinion they really, really trust. Bring two advisers at most. Seriously. Prospective brides that brought their entire bridal party or their extended family got more help than they could possibly use. They also got some really bad advice mixed in with the good, and once everyone's feelings got hurt, nobody left happy. read more

The "manager" is the most disrespectful retail worker I've ever came in contact with in my entire life. I cannot say enough great things about my experience at this David's Bridal last night. I had an amazing time searching for my wedding dress--and I found it! I arrived a bit early for my bridal appointment, so I started talking to Bobbie, the store manager, about some styles I was interested in seeing. She started pulling the dresses for me ahead of time and talked to me about what I was looking for. She was so friendly and helpful while I waited for my consultant. Teonka, my consultant, was just awesome. She greeted me with a huge smile on her face and told me what to expect during the appointment. She grabbed the proper undergarments for me to put on, and soon she was with me in the dressing room helping me get in and out of dresses. The first 3 or 4 dresses were not the one, but each time I had one on, Teonka asked me questions to try and hone in on what I was looking for. After the 4th dress, she said she'd be right back and came back with 3 more choices based on my feedback. Among those 3 dresses was THE ONE! Great job, Teonka! Teonka went above and beyond and gave me a quick updo hairstyle since I'll be wearing my hair up on the big day. Towards the end of my appointment, she even pulled me away from my mom and aunt while I was wearing the dress to give me a moment to process everything. She told me to close my eyes and think about my fiance--the most important thing to me in this whole process--and that's when the happy tears started flowing. I'm glad I found the dress, but I had such a great time, I almost wish I had a reason to try on more! Thank you, Bobbie and Teonka, for making my shopping experience a celebration and not a chore! Go. See. Dana. We came here to get my bridesmaid's dresses and Dana took such great care of us and was the absolute best. She even recognized my cousin from my sister's bridesmaid dress appointment from last year. You can always expect a hug and a huge smile when you see her! She made things so easy for us and helped pick out different styles of dresses that she thought my girls would like. I had the best time with my bridesmaids picking out their dresses and I can say without a doubt it's partly because of her. She made things so fun but also got the job done. This is a great store. Wonderful selection and helpful, nice and never pushy sales associates. The prices are great. My only complaint is that they didn't have the dress that I wanted. It's really not their fault, I can only order it online...which I hate to do because what if I try it on and it's not what I wanted?!! Not the stores fault though. Great selection. Amanda was fantastic! We went in on 4/27 without a clue. I had just asked one of my bridesmaides to be a bridesmaid on the drive there..I'm a procrastinator. She was so helpful! She went over the different styles with me to find a certain style I liked. I think mine is called triumphant? (Kinda like mermaid but not as tight on the thigh area). We tried on a handful of pretty dresses to find the perfect one. I got to ring the bell! She was a rockstar because she was helping me &another girl out. I found a dress I loved but wasn't feeling the vibe at that store. I went to several other boutiques that day but kept thinking about that dress. A few days later I went to another David's Bridal to check out their selection and try on that dress one more time. I had the absolute best experience (topping all the times I've been there for a bridesmaid dresses) with Dana from the Madison, TN store. That woman is a gift from God. My mother, my daughter and I spent Saturday afternoon here looking for a formal dress. She has been chosen to be a part of the homecoming court @ her school. Sometimes I dread these type of stores, to be honest. And, I have experienced this even at other nearby David's Bridal locations . . . I'm not a fan of pushy salespeople or just not being left alone to browse a bit. But, we had the best experience with Rosemary. She is so petite & bubbly. She is honest and helpful. She made it a very pleasant, fun time for all of us. And, even though we were in there to buy something far less expensive than a wedding dress, she treated us no different. I never felt "pushed or bothered" at all. She was in fact pleased to help us find something my daughter looks and feels beautiful in that was within our budget. Thank you Rosemary! read more
