My mother, my daughter and I spent Saturday afternoon here looking for a formal dress. She has been chosen to be a part of the homecoming court @ her school. Sometimes I dread these type of stores, to be honest. And, I have experienced this even at other nearby David's Bridal locations . . . I'm not a fan of pushy salespeople or just not being left alone to browse a bit. But, we had the best experience with Rosemary. She is so petite & bubbly. She is honest and helpful. She made it a very pleasant, fun time for all of us. And, even though we were in there to buy something far less expensive than a wedding dress, she treated us no different. Had I known the customer service and alterations process would be so awful I never would have purchased my bridal gown from here. At first they will try to sell you a dress on the floor that is not your size or has another problem claiming they will fix everything. My dress was out of stock and needed to be ordered but it arrived damaged and could not be reordered from the factory. Also you only have 1 week to return after purchase but it takes longer than that to ship the dress & they will make you sign for it! They sold me the poor quality dress claiming they would make repairs to all the damages no charge and claiming they would make all sorts of alterations for whatever I wanted (modesty panel, bustle, extra stitches.) Needless to say I bought the dress and they ended up not being able to make the necessary alterations referring me elsewhere. They were also out of stock of bra cups and extras I needed to add to the dress. Why they could not order these I have no clue... So I went to the Davids Bridal in Cool Springs and they had no issues whatsoever with the alterations I needed done. It was such a stressful process. read more

They had so many beautiful dresses in my limit ($300- $400) and even lower!! I had Jasmine as my assistant. She was so nice and patient. My visit started off a little rough and I had a hard time finding someone to help me get checked in for my appointment. I was ignored by several people and had to ask several people where I could check in before I was helped. After I got settled in with Maya G. everything went really well. I bought a bridesmaid dress for my daughter there recently at the Madison Store. The experience was very lack luster. The people who helped weren't very helpful or excited to help. We felt like we were inconveniencing the employees. Then when we finally got the dress, it was so wrinkled the experience of trying it on was not pleasing. Fortunately the dressed fit, but we couldn't tell if it was nice or not because it was badly wrinkled. The manager's response was that is how it comes and if you want the wrinkles out, you can pay $30-$40 to get the wrinkles out." She acted offended I even asked about the wrinkles. For how much you pay for a dress, it should be presentable and ready for the customer to try. Don't make your customers feel like they are the problem. There definitely was no "WOW" factor in the experience. It was more like, "Why are you here bothering me!" experience. My daughter was embarrassed about asking about the wrinkles. I went on 02/19/13 to find a bridal dress for myself and dresses for my bridesmaids. I had a GREAT experience with my consultant, Lacey. I was late for my appointment by 35 minutes due to being lost and Lacey was still able to spend 2 hours of undivided attention to me. The third hour she was also assisting another customer, but I can't blame her for me being late and me wanting to try on 8 different dresses (3 of them 3 times each). My bridesmaids were also helped by Lacey with finding dresses and she was able to tell them the proper sizes they needed to order when we were unsure. Each one of our dresses had to be ordered and the ordering process was smooth. All 3 dresses will be here in about 2 months. I have some tips for people who go and want to have a good experience: 1. Make an APPOINTMENT for a WEEKDAY! They are a bridal chain store therefore they are busy on the weekend!! I made mine for Tuesday morning at 11am and was able to get 2 hours of undivided attention and assistance even after being 35 minutes late. 2. Get a good bridal consultant! My consultant Lacey was great and made my shopping experience very enjoyable. 3. Don't be afraid to say no to buying their accessories. I choose to buy my corset and slip from there bc it was convenient and I knew exactly how my dress would look with them on. 4. However, do pay the $10 to buy the garment bag unless you already have one. The dresses are reasonably priced so don't complain about getting the dress in their standard plastic bag if you don't want to pay the extra $10. 5. If possible, buy your veil and bridesmaid dresses at the same time as your bridal gown. I got a $50 discount on my veil and $20 off for each bridesmaid dress for buying my wedding dress at the same time. They can be bought separately and still be available for the discount. 6. Be open minded to the dresses. The gown I bought and the dresses my bridesmaids bought were not the ones we came in to try on. read more

first of all i should say that i never planned on going to david's. however i found the knock off of the $3,000 dress i loved for only $300. i knew that a lot of people have had problems with them before i went, which was good. it kept me on my toes. i had two main problems with david's. #1) my dress. they ordered it for me, which i was glad of. i didn't want a used dress or one that everyone who had come in the store had tried on. everything was fine until i went to pick my dress up. the lady at the counter was rude and acted like she was too busy to help me. before anything else she tried to get me to sign a paper that said i accepted the dress as is, ect. i refused and told her that i at least wanted to see the dress before i signed anything like that. and guess what ... the dress had a big hole in it. the manager finally came out and since i still had time (thank goodness!) they ordered me a new dress. this new dress is fine. but that was an ordeal and no one was very helpful. #2) bridesmaid dresses. i had picked out bridesmaid dresses at david's also. my consultant told me that they were going to be discontinued next year (this was in november) and that as long as i got all of my orders in before christmas it would be fine. the day my last bridesmaid went in to be fitted they had discontinued it. so i was just s.o.l. and i had to go find a complete new dress. even if these two things had not happened i would still not be giving david's any more stars. that's because of smaller things like lazy employees, not the best quality merchandise, and their corporate mentality (meaning that they have enough business that they don't have to care whether you are happy or not). if you do find a dress here do not get it altered here! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about the David's Bridal in Madison, TN. My bridal consultant was Dana, and she was AMAZING. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful, and included my personal preferences while helping me find my dress. I went into David's Bridal excited but nervous at the same time and came out with a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders because I found my dress in 90 minutes or less. My first experience was great and I found a beautiful bridesmaid dress with the help of staff. My second time there I had an appointment for alterations and went by myself. Hanna Fahmx was more than helpful and very thoughtful! I wasn't sure how the dress should look or even what shoes would go best. She fitted my dress and gave me advice on shoes. I ended up buying shoes later that day and I was really nervous about it messing up my prior alterations. Yesterday I went to David's Bridal in Rivergate to pick out my wedding dress. I had made an appointment online ahead of time, as well as selected some of my favorites. When I got started, they had my paperwork, and a print out of some of my favorite dresses I'd already selected online. I narrowed my search down to about 3 to start off. I fell in love with the first one...and the second one. My consultant, Amanda, was wonderful and helped show me some different accessories for each dress. I ended up trying on 5, but it came down to the first two I tried on. Amanda was wonderful with helping me see what each dress would look like, and help remind me that my mother and maid of honor, who were there with me, were not the ones that needed to love the dress. I was. I am very thankful for all of her help, and I'm so excited that I found my dream wedding dress!!!! read more

This is literally the worst bridal shop I have ever been to. The associates (there were only two on staff at around 4pm when I went) were both lazy and acted like they had somewhere better to be. The young girl that "helped" me around the store did not seem to care in the slightest. I shortly found out why her mind was somewhere else because within five minutes of showing me dresses, some guy who must have been her boyfriend walked in, they kissed and continued to flirt while I just stood there waiting. I finally just left the store and will definitely NEVER be back. I will also tell anybody who thinks of going there to go somewhere else. My other main complaint was that both associates had visible tattoos and piercings all over themselves. This is not professional in any way. David's Bridal needs to seriously check into this location and the associates there because it is TERRIBLE. read more

Since my last review, I have returned to David's Bridal 3 more times. The first was for my bridesmaid dresses. Again - per our request - we had Dana as our consultant. Once again she came through with just the right assistance we needed on a very hectic Saturday appointment. The second visit was for the Mother of the Bride appointment. Once again, Dana was AWESOME! She picked out a couple different dresses for my mom and they just didn't suit her and she wasn't comfortable in them. Dana then asked if we would be receptive to trying a pantsuit. The dresses weren't working so we said "why not". The pantsuit she brought my mom to try was absolutely PERFECT!! She looked great in it and she was very comfortable in it. We purchased that pantsuit and my mom couldn't be happier. Today, we returned for the flower girls dress. Again, we had Dana expertly assisting us. Dana picked out 4 dresses and the third one we tried was the perfect dress. It is GORGEOUS! I cannot say enough good things about Dana! She is so sweet and kind and she KNOWS Bridal forward, backward, sideways, and every other kind of way. She made this whole Bridal shopping experience so much fun and so stress-free! I don't think I have ever written a Yelp review before, but I had to get online to tell people about my truly fantastic experience finding my wedding dress at this David's Bridal! First, the team was able to work me into their busy Friday schedule when I accidentally showed up on the wrong day. Secondly, they were obviously swamped with shoppers, but my associate Dana was cheery and calm the entire time. Due to my own schedule conflicts I had to cut down the usual 90 minute appointment to about 50 minutes. I told Dana my (tight) budget, my (larger) size, and my (fairly specific) desires in a wedding dress. She went right to work and came back with two gorgeous dresses. I didn't think I'd be an emotional bride, but Dana had me laughing, crying and high-fiving through trying on the two dresses in the short time I had. I left to go to my other appointment at a boutique, but the service was NOT the same. I rushed back to David's and ended up buying the very first dress Dana had recommended! Dana zapped all stress out of finding "THE dress" and made it the most fun part of wedding planning I've experienced so far! Go to David's. Ask for Dana. You will NOT be disappointed! read more
