Extremely disappointed. I went today for alterations on a dress that I didn't get from David's Bridal. It was wrapped in another brand's dress covering, had hanger ties with another brands name on it, as well as two tags. It was very clear that it was from another brand that was not David's. I had read online everywhere that people could go there just for alterations. The seamstress had me put the dress on, I was measured with the dress on, she pinned a panel, pinned a hem line on 3 layers of dress, quoted me a price and I changed back into street clothes. All of a sudden she calls me back and asks me if I bought the dress from them. I said no, it was from an online store. She was apologetic, but told me she could NOT do the alterations on my dress for the simple fact that it did not come from them. Are you kidding me?!! Nowhere is it listed, there are no signs anywhere that you can't do alterations on an outside dress. I was flabbergasted. It was very obvious that it did not come from David's Bridal- the covering and tags all said a different brand. I can't believe she didn't notice. I had to stand there for nearly an hour getting the hem done on 3 layers of fabric for nothing. I recently had spine surgery and it was painful for me to stand in that position for that amount of time. After telling me she couldn't do it, I had to stand there and watch her take aaaaall the pins out of my dress. I was confused as to why she couldn't have just left them in, so I could get someone else to just sew it. I mean really? How expensive are your pins?? I understand it was company policy but this woman knew her own company's policy and therefore should have told me she couldn't do the alterations for me BEFORE I stood there for an hour sweating. She told me she knows people in other towns that could do the alterations for me, but I am not about to bring the dress to someone's house. And it's unprofessional to even offer that, and I would venture to assume that David's Bridal corporate office would have a huge issue with the seamstresses skimming jobs from them. So what if it didn't come from you guys? Wouldn't you want my money anyway? I am very displeased and will never buy a dress from there let alone recommend them. I wish I could give this place no stars but since that isn't an option I will stick with one. First off, when you go to a bridal shop to look at dresses you expect someone to make you feel special. The staff here is just rude. They talked to each other and didn't even greet my group when we walked in. One of the main women who worked there, she had short dark hair, was completely mean. Then we finally found a dress we liked. The sales associate told us to come back and buy the dress over the weekend bc there was a major sale. The associate checked and assured us the dress we wanted came in the specific color but we had to come back to order it. A couple days later it turns out 1. The dress was no longer on sale 2. The dress doesn't come in the specific color we asked for and 3. They couldn't order the dress for us bc they didn't have it in stock anymore. My poor sister got her hopes up and waited to buy the dress like the sales associate said and it turned out everything they told us was a lie. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Went here for my bridesmaids dresses, they booked too many appointments so my girls all had to share a fitting room, and there was no chairs or place for my mom and I to sit and wait for the girls. We ended up standing, holding everyone's coats and purses. Our consultant didn't know what was going on. She couldn't remember who was the bride, who was a part of my bridal party. Kept asking other girls in another fitting room about my wedding, she couldn't seem to understand that they were not a part of our group. She kept asking my other bridesmaids and my MOH about my wedding, thinking they were the bride. Not to mention I had to run my own appointment. I took the time to save dresses I liked that I found online with style numbers and everything to make her job easier. When I showed her she told me to pull them myself. I had to find all the dresses by myself and bring them to my girls. The "consultant" was no help at all. This place is such a chop shop. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Thank god I got my gown at a REAL bridal salon that actually catered to me and made me feel special by taking the time to actually help me. I highly recommend the Alfred Angelo bridal salon in Manchester for a true, unforgettable bridal experience. Not a place like this where you are barely even acknowledged. I just went dress shopping on Friday, August 19, so my experience is pretty fresh. This was my first time ever wedding dress shopping, so I am only talking about my experience at this store, not in comparison to any others. I made an appointment for 11:00, which is also the time they open. I kinda expected to be one of the only people shopping there, although I figured there would be others showing up eventually. But when I walked in at 11:02, the place was already a flurry of activity. I was greeted by one person, another person motioned for me to sit down at a desk, and yet another saleswoman handed me a survey-type form to fill out. It was all kind of confusing and hurried. I filled out the survey and tentatively handed the saleswoman a list of the dresses I wanted to try on. She really gave me absolutely no direction whatsoever, but eventually I made my way to a fitting room. She found two dresses that were on my list and I tried those on while she went to track down others. There were long periods of time when there was not a saleswoman in sight, which apparently was because the salesgirl couldn't locate one of the dresses on my list. During that time, my *mother* actually ended up helping some of the other girls zip dress backs and take pictures and give opinions, as there were no employees there to help them. It really seemed like in general, it was difficult to get the personalized attention you so crave when you're shopping for the most important day of your life. That said, the saleswoman who helped me was extremely nice, helpful, and honest about which dresses suited me. She kept me informed about which dresses were above my price range and which dresses were on sale. I ended up buying a dress, which should come in sometime in November. I signed up for a David's Bridal credit card, and they asked me if I wanted to buy accessories that day for a 15% discount, which I declined, as it was way too much pressure to choose all of those things in one day. They also tried to sit me down with a coordinator to help me choose invitations, flowers, bridesmaids dresses, etc., but I had another appointment to get to, so I had to skip that sales pitch. Overall, don't go if you're not in the mood to be pressured to buy, buy, buy. Go with a strong sense of what you want and what you don't, because they will try to urge you to make decisions then and there. While I didn't appreciate the pre-packaged sales pitch, I did greatly appreciate the attention of the saleswoman who helped me try on gowns. read more

I wish I could leave a negative star. I had an awful experience here today. I did not feel like I was important. I felt ignored. I was so upset because no one felt helpful. The woman helping me today was like telling me I shouldn't have come on a Saturday because my bridal party had said it was rude for her to leave me hanging because she was invested in another 3 or 4 brides at once. I had this appointment for 2 months, and I feel that people with appointments should be helped first. I had already purchased my gown here, and I wish that I didn't. My daughter and I picked up her wedding gown last October from Davids (wedding Aug 2016) but when she was home she tried it on and it just wasn't "the one". We were a bit unhappy about the quality of the dress but were concerned they wouldn't take it back over 4 months later. What a great experience we had though when we went in. Naomi gave us the space to make a wide variety of choices for gowns to try on and left us alone when we needed her to but was always within arm's reach to help. No pressure to rush through, absolutely no hassle in taking back the other gown, and my daughter was able to really find the dress of her dreams. Matt was awesome as well in providing feedback about fit and answering questions alterations and sizing. Another daughter is getting married in 2017, we'll be back for sure. read more

Came in for a first time bridal session to get an idea of what styles I liked. My consultant was great, but the environment that she was put in did not set her up for success, she did the best she could and I want to call that out, none of this is her fault. She had no time to see what I wanted, there was a dress I really wanted to try on and never even got to do so. She had multiple clients at the same time, one was myself, a bridal appointment, and the others were prom and bridesmaids. It's fine if you want to have one consultant between a few prom or bridesmaid shoppers, but any other bridal salon you go to gives the bride a consultant to herself, with full attention. Half way through my mom had to start zipping and clipping me into dresses, as well as chase down the consultant for information and their things we needed. The rooms are also WAY too close to each other. The bride next to me brought about 20 members of her family, who were all in our space, with their kids and her consultant running back and forth right in front of me. I even hit one of the family members trying to open the dressing room door. I know you can't do anything about customers' family members but your consultant should have known not to walk right in between me and my mom, it was completely rude. My consultant also stated towards the end of my appointment that David's Bridal wasn't really making the size dress I needed anymore-so what was the point of trying anything on? The cost savings on a dress here is not worth the hassle-go to a reputable bridal salon if you're looking for a wedding dress. Davids bridal should stick to bridesmaids and prom dresses from now on. read more

I just had the worst experience! I was picking up my dress from David's Bridal in Orange CT with my sister. I was in the store for a good 20 minutes with my service dog (who was fully vested and has paperwork) and no one gave me a problem, everyone was very pleasant. The front employees were all very friendly! When I went to get my dress altered the woman that did the alterations was afraid of dogs so I said I was going to get it hemmed elsewhere and we went into the changing room to get dressed. She was also very friendly and I had no problem with her being afraid of dogs, I would just go elsewhere. As we are getting dressed we hear a knock on the door and we said we weren't dressed. Then we get another knock and again we said we weren't dressed yet. The manager opens the door with us half naked, walks in and demands to see paperwork stating she is a service dog... with the door open and people watching. We were trying to tell her we were half naked and she said we were copping an attitude with her. She actually had the nerve to yell at us. read more

I too had a terrible experience at this DB store. I made an appointment to just see a big variety of dresses. When I got there the woman at the front asked me to sit down, and then proceeded to get into an argument with another customer who had interrupted us, claiming that DB had lost all of her information. I was then hurried over to try on 3 dresses in a dressing room that literally had 5 huge dresses in front of the door that I smacked into each time I opened it. I tried on the 3 horrible dresses and since there was no one around to help me, and they felt paper thin, I changed and left. I think I was there for 15 minutes. Terrible read more

I went to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses b/c I'm newly engaged. My first appt was at David Bridal in Norwalk, CT which was a seemingly a better experience than the one I had at the location in Orange. I arrived before my appt and decided to look around beforehand. The staff then assigned me to one of their stylist and she wasn't as great as I hoped her to be. She brought me dresses that she thought I may like and things she thought I may look good in (which is cool). But, after she placed dresses in fitting she left me to try on by myself which then forced my mom to step in and help with clipping me in the dresses etc. She'd would come back with minimal feedback or an explanation as to why I was forced to work alone. After trying on two dresses I decided that the customer service wasn't great and decided to give my business to another retailer which I did (Lucilles Bridal shop - which is about a 5 min drive from Davids and I said yes to the dress there). David's also don't have much of a selection so if you browse their website before you make an appt your best bet is to call to see if they have the dress before you trek up/down there. And if you must go to Davids, go to the location in Norwalk - staff is more attentive there even if your appt is late like mine was. read more

I recently went there for an appt, which I scheduled online for a Friday afternoon. The store was packed and there didn't seem to be enough staff to handle all the ladies who needed dresses. I had looked online and had an idea of what I wanted as my wedding is not your typical wedding, but more of an elopement to Vegas. The girl assigned to me was very helpful but I was pretty much on my own to get what I wanted. I searched through the store and picked a variety of dresses. My mom was with me. She and I worked alone, and found the dress I eventually bought. The girl came to us, and to be fair, she was very sweet and attentive (when she had the time). She searched for the dress in my size (i didn't find one) and I was pleasantly surprised! I bought the dress! I went back for my alteration and Matt pinned the dress and helped me design a new look to it. He was FANTASTIC! So sweet and friendly. Despite the store being understaffed, he made my day! Thought I was the only one who found this place execrable, but I guess not. I did not want a strapless gown and had looked at all of David's gowns online; most were strapless, and even with sleeves added, didn't impress me. Still, I stopped by one Saturday just to look. Of course it was crowded and I didn't expect a lot of service, so I wasn't put off when I was told to take a catalogue and come back when I had some ideas from it. However, having been unimpressed with their selection, I went to Lucille's (where I had gone 35 years ago for "the wedding that didn't take") and was immediately helped, despite having no appointment, and, long story short, came back for an appointment with friends (despite my best friend and MOH referring to it as "returning to the scene of the crime") and bought the gown there. More expensive than David's, but also classier than anything I saw there. My matron of honor however needed a gown, and being on a budget, as well as being a plus size, thought she would have better luck at a place like David's, so we went back on a quiet Monday. No one was in the shop but a couple of young girls trying on bridesmaid dresses. When the saleswoman looked at us she probably presumed we wanted mother--of gowns or the like, and so when my friend told her she needed a bridesmaid gown and that she was the bridesmaid, the woman made absolutely no effort to contain her shock ("We should have yelled "age discrimination" and left then," my friend said). My friend was so nonplussed by the reaction she just pointed to me and said, She's the bride, as if to say, see, Im not a bridesmaid at a young girl's wedding. The woman asked when the wedding was and when I mentioned a date only fou rmonths away she said, "I presume you've got your gown?" When I said yes, I figured that was why the service dried up, but from these reviews I guess it didn't make a difference. She pointed out the styles and colors available and said they all came in up to a 26. My friend found three styles she thought might be flattering and we tracked the woman down again to ask her about them. She showed us where they were but of course they didn't have enough samples in the large sizes so she only tried on a couple of 24's, which were too big, but there was nothing in between. We were sure that the woman said she'd be back with sizes to help us and we wandered the store for ten or fifteen minutes while the staff whiled away their time steaming veils and walking about. I finally went up to our salesperson and asked, are we supposed to get these gowns ourselves? i.e., you're not looking for other sizes or styles like we thought? evidently that was it. Well where are the dressing rooms? I had to call over. They directed us to number 3. The number 3 was of course ripped off the wall. Not what you expect n a bridal boutique, even a big box one. No one was there to help my friend adjust the dresses (you know, the industrial-sized Home Depot clamps, clothespins, etc.) to see how they might look when altered to fit. No one was even around. We left in a hurry after the second dress she tried on and hurried down to Lucille's...we'd avoided that for her because of what we thought was a limited and more pricey selection, but we found the perfect dress for under $200. She was fitted and helped and, as the groom's attendant is a woman, she's able to order the same dress in black from a number of shops in Fairfield County where she lives. And as far as David's prices, I saw a royal blue gown - the exact one - which I wore to a formal meeting last fall. It was $169.00, the full price. Granted, mine was on a sale rack probably because it was a leftover size 4 and past season, but nevertheless I got it at Lord and Taylor for under $70. If you want your big day and all the runups to it to be special, don't go to a big box store, especially this one. Even though at age 57 I really didn't care how memorable buying a dress would be, it still made a difference to be treated nicely. It will make all the more difference for you young 'uns who are dreaming of your big day and spending a fortune. There are many locally-owned bridal shoppes to patronize. Do some research and choose one of them. They don't have industrial rows of dressing rooms with missing numbers and ripped chairs. Get word of mouth - find a reputable, nice little place where you can begin starting a scrapbook with "the magic. read more

I had a great experience at David's Bridal in Orange when purchasing my wedding dress. I had gone to the same location for a bridesmaid dress several years ago and I wasn't impressed with the store, but now it seems greatly improved! I was hesitant to visit DB while wedding dress shopping because previously this store was disorganized and the bridesmaid dresses were low quality - Recently though, the selection was great, the quality far exceeded the price, and the whole atmosphere was improved. My consultant was attentive and friendly and she did not push me to try on anything more expensive than I preferred. Some of the staff was wonderful and make this experience great others--almost made me walk out and canceled my dress on two different Occasions. I'm a bride that relocated with my future husband so luckily MOST of the staff were great with being flexible or supportive on waiting or doing fittings at one time. Usually I'm pretty understanding person the first time we went on a raining Sunday so it was very busy. Even though we waited over an hour to meet the girl would be helping us. She was very busy working with me and another bride but very helpful (when around). Some of the staff are so sweet others--should maybe reconsider working with brides especially on special/emotional days of their lives. If the two girls (alterations and sales) weren't so great this review wouldn't be more than one star. I would give a zero if that was an option. Earlier this afternoon(7/18), two family members were ignored after entering the store. The person working(whoever had the short hair cut) asked what they needed and when they replied she said ok and walked away as they proceeded to browse, never coming over or following up. After a few major wedding issues with the bridesmaids dress and wedding gown itself, I was not a happy camper when I walked into David's bridal, HOWEVER Amy was the most incredible manager, let alone employee, I've ever seen at a David's Bridal and I've been to many. She was incredible understanding, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure that we were satisfied. Amy was so helpful and amazing! I can not say enough about the staff that works here. My daughter and myself did not have a good experience at a different David's Bridal where we felt rushed and were given dresses that did not fit well. To say the least that my daughter just didn't feel that dress was the "one". We decided to just "go look" at the David's in Orange. The staff at this one in Orange bent over backwards to make sure my daughter had the dress she loved for her Wedding Day. They exchanged her previously purchased dress with the dress of her dreams and spent so much time with her. While talking to Naomi, I mentioned how my dress seemed to be too big but was told at the other store to just have it altered, she immediately spoke to a Manager and both told me to bring the dress there and a proper size would be ordered immediately. This was by far the worst customer service I've ever had. Here I am on the most special day of my life and to have experienced this type of service was horrible for me. I don't even know where to start. From the time I walked in until I left I had such bad service. The woman that was helping me went missing for 30min in the middle of me trying on dresses so my friend had to come in the dressing room to help me. She even told my family not to pick out anymore dresses even though I didn't make a decision yet. All in all I felt like she was rushing me and not being considerate of the fact that this is my important day. I will never shop at this location again or recommend it. I am currently searching legal options because David's bridal left me sitting in a room for 2 hours in my pj's, after arriving at the hall I paid thousands of dollars to have available for the next 5 hours for my wedding. When I arrived at the hall and went to put my gown on I found the store had given me someone elses dress. When confronted the store manager linda could only say I'm sorry where are you being married. When I told her Westbrook her only response was "oh god". I didn't get to even eat a plate of food I paid for let alone spend time talking to my guests and thank them for coming. Some people even left before the ceremony could even happen because they had to work and could only stay for a limited time. The store manager never even bothered to contact the other poor woman who's dress I had and never even bothered to ask for it to be returned. She even admitted they had no idea who's dress was even missing. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Their staff was so quick to pressure us to purchase things in their store. When we went to order out brides maid dresses we were pressured and told that our dresses had to be purchased immediately that day or they wouldn't come in on time for the wedding and then the dresses came in over a month before the wedding because apparently on top of being rude they were illiterate because we were forced to order and pay in full early for our dresses because we were told they would arrive on july 27 instead of june because their staff doesn't know the difference between 7/27 and 6/27. Despite being crowded and slightly chaotic I felt like I wasn't just another bride. I was given attention and the staff were all full of smiles and compliments everywhere I looked. If you ever set foot in this shop- book your appointment with NAOMI. She should be given a nice salary raise. Amazing personality, and gave me all the time in the world. The sales associates Tricia and Monica went above and beyond April 25th when helping my maid of honor find a dress. We came in to simply try on the bridesmaid dress we previously ordered to see if she needed a new size, when she discovered she did not love the dress as much as she originally thought. Since she was the maid of honor we asked if she could exchange her dress for a similar one (wear a different dress from the rest of the girls) and they were happy to help us. They pointed out all the dresses that were a similar style to the ones all the other girls were wearing, they were also very bright and positive. Also Naomi is the sales associate who I always meet with when it comes to my bridal needs. I got my wedding dress through her, she helped my mother with her dress, and I also plan to return for my veil and shoes. She is definitely very very helpful as well as manages to always make our appointments fun and memorable. read more

What a terrible experience! I kept being harassed with phone calls about picking up my dress even though I had a alternation appointment. The customer service and alternation department there is the worst. My first alternation appointment took 4 hours because the tailor didn't know what she was doing so another one had to keep coming and double checking everything. When I was ready to pay I was ignored for 15 minutes because no one but the manager knew how to ring me out. I was told that I didn't have to pay the full amount at once by the tailor so when I paid half the manager was giving me an attitude because I didn't pay it in full. I went to David's Bridal to shop for wedding dresses. My appt was the first of the day on a Tuesday. There were no other customers in the store at that time which was nice. I did not have to worry about bumping into other customers when browsing the aisles. Tracey was my consultant, who had me pick out a couple dresses to try on, which she brought back to the dressing room. The second dress I had tried on was amazing, Tracey added the veil and bouquet and that was it. I chose that dress. Even though Tracey had another bridal appt, she still took the time to take of me and made sure I was happy. I did not feel rushed at all during my appt. Not even a 'hello, someone will be with you in a few moments' nothing. We were just ignored. People without appointments were being served before I was even spoken to. We have had an awesome experience with David's in Orange. My daughter purchased her beautiful gown there at a very reasonable price and her bridesmaid's dresses also came from David's. All the girls were fit and the dresses are lovely. I also purchased my mother-of-the-bride dress there and am extrememly happy. I had the entire staff help me on a late mid-week afternoon. Our flower girl has her dress from David's with matching sach. When picking a color from David's, you can get all the matching assessories as well which was very convenient. We even purchased our invitations from David's which again coordinated with the color scheme. There are so many things to worry about when planning a wedding. Having David's as our bridal shop helped elevate some of this stress. read more

Drove literally across state just for my appointment. Which was probably the best part of my trip! We walk in the door and just waited. It was chaotic. We finally get someone to help us only to tell us to wait. Which was fine because we were early. So we were told to look around. As we are looking I can hear the woman ask at least 3 different people if they wanted to "take my appointment" each one snapped pretty quickly at saying no. That was annoying. So as we were looking at dresses I found 1 that I liked. LIKED. I didn't even want to waste my time trying it on. If bride buys her gown her bridesmaids get $20 off their gown. However on the website they are cheaper but the store won't take the $20 off from website price. Also, website offers free shipping, if ordered from store they charge shipping to your home. Most of their gowns are made in China. Might as well order from China yourself. You can have them custom fitted with the correct length so you don't have to pay for hemming/alteration which by the way, the store charges you extra for. read more

Walked in to this David's bridal and was not even acknowledged. There was a lady at the front by a podium whose job seemed to be greeting, yet she did nothing of the sort. Looking through the aisles and not one person stopped to ask if I needed help despite standing a foot away from me and staring me in my face. It wasn't busy and multiple employees were just standing and joking around while I, someone wanting to ask about a dress was being ignored. This is the second time and a week I've gone into this store and received no service. I don't recommend this store if you need help, they clearly do not like doing their jobs. read more

I went to David's Bridal twice; the first time was great and the second time was horrible. Barbara was beyond amazing! She helped make this experience so easy! She was great to work with. However.....if you get Tessa....run the other way!!! She had two appointments booked for the same time. Instead of asking for assistance from another employee she left my bridal party and me high and dry. We had to go and get dresses ourselves, try to figure out sizing, etc. When she came back to complete our order not only did she get the sizes incorrect but got rude with me when I let her know that they were incorrect - the order form says size 16 but should be a 6 - that could have been a HUGE issue! She attempted to order dresses for someone that was not even there and again had an attitude when I mentioned the lines were mixed up. Terrible customer service!!!! TY and HOFSA- thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I called the store yesterday at 7:58pm (they close at 9pm) and Ty answered the phone. My exact words were, "Hi Ty, please don't think I'm crazy. My best friend is getting married in 3 weeks and hates the dress she bought at a boutique. We know you close soon but we are about 15 minutes away from the store." Ty's response was, "Oh nnnoooo. Can you tell me what she likes? I can pull some stuff and have it ready for you when you get here." And she did. And it was amazing. As soon as we walked in there was someone waiting at the door to greet us. My best friend went straight towards the dressing area. Ty relayed the information from our conversation to Hofsa and there were 7 dresses of similar styles to what we were looking for waiting for us. Hofsa was amazing! My best friend put on the first dress and absolutely fell in love. Ironically she'd been looking at the dress online for the last couple of days without telling anyone. The dress had arrived at the store THAT day. They'd literally taken it off the mannequin figuring it matched what I'd said she'd like. Hofsa helped her get dressed and clear away the dresses she didn't care for in no time. Hofsa didn't try to force any particular dress on her and just helped her find the dress that made her feel like a more beautiful version of herself. The entire staff was attentive and despite the fact that they were closing, did not rush us. They made it a point to make my friend feel comfortable and give her the time and space to make the right decision. My best friend DID in fact buy the first dress she tried on and I have to say it is by far the happiest I've seen her. A million thanks to Ty and Hofsa for their help. When shopping for my wedding gown, Tessa was amazing!!! She was honest and helpful and patient, with a great enthusiasm for her job. I ended up buying my gown within the hour due to her suggestions and feedback. Would recommend her to anyone. She made the shopping experience (which I usually hate) such a pleasure. As far as the seamstress department goes, Tara and Fabienne were a joy to work with. Tara's work was exquisite and she even made last minute adjustments for my comfort. Additionally, there was a minor misunderstanding with my daughter's gown and a manager went as far as to call UPS to have the dress brought back to their store. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful and I highly recommend (but as others have said, be sure to make an appointment first for the most attentive service). read more

Absolutely terrible! Would never recommend them to anyone. They overbook appointments and you will be waiting for fittings and service. I bought my wedding dress there and paid for alterations. They messed up the alterations and had to come back for another appointment. When I got there the dress wasn't even completed yet and I had to wait 45 minutes to even try it out. Poor service. Never get alterations there over priced and poorly done. read more

This is the worst experience anyone could ever have. My bridesmaids insisted on this location for their dresses because they live in different states, so we stuck it out for their dresses. 1st- We first walked in just to browse and an employee told my girls they could not try on a dress. The store was empty! It was a Thursday night. We then made an appt online. 2nd- After you make an appointment on the internet, the store will have NO idea what you are talking about, even if the DB messaging system is sending you text messages. 3rd- When my bridesmaid dresses came in they were NEVER contacted, which is dangerous because they can literally send your dress away if you do not pick it up. 4th- For my scheduled bridal dress fitting, I came in with PRINTED pictures of exact models from their website of dresses I wanted to try on. The person working with me never brought me any of the dresses I wanted to try on. I had different model that I wanted to see which looked best on me. The employee told me that I needed to stick to one type of shape (mermaid, ballgown, straight, etc.) in order to try on different looks. This was so stupid because HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH LOOK YOU LIKE THE BEST IF YOU DO NOT TRY IT ON??? Anyways, after 45 minutes and not trying on any of the dresses I printed, I left with nothing. The next week I literally just walked into Lucille's Bridal Shoppe in Orange on a Wednesday morning when it was empty. The worker there (I think Liz) just let me try on as many dresses as I liked and she also assisted me the entire time. I spend about 2 hours and found a clearance dress CHEAPER than the ones David's Bridal were trying to sell me. David's Bridal is a poor customer shopping experience, and functions more like a warehouse. They will not give brides the attention they deserve so I do not recommend this place. read more

Today I went to David's Bridal to try on a dress. Upon me walking in the young lady at the register totally ignored me although she was not busy at the register, there were no customers in sight. There was no greeter or no one to help me. When I did see a team member I attempted to asked a question about some assistance and she literally looked at me liked I had 10 heads. NONE OF THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY... Once I did receive some service I was told just to go in the fitting room to try on the dress. No one came to assist me or to see if I was ok. Mind you, they were not busy because today is the 4th of July and I was specifically told by the consultant when I made the appointment that it would be a slow day and I will be able to have someone assist me with finding a dress.. They took my dress to find another size and they never came back with the correct size. NO ONE CAME BACK AT ALL, AND THEY TOOK THE DRESS. At that point, I was totally annoyed and felt like I was in a sauna room because it was so hot.. I just kindly got dress and left. I would never go there again or refer anyone. The service is just poor. "David's Bridal you deserve no stars.. I would rather spend my money somewhere else where I'm going to get treated like a customer or should I say a human being!! read more

I had such a bad experience!! Made an appointment thinking i would get some one on one consulting and was really excited about shopping for my bridesmaid dresses as was the five bridesmaids an my mother in law!! The lady was very rude and extremely pushy!! Was not helping me at all myself an my bridesmaids pretty much went and helped ourselves. It seemed like i could have just walked in there and got more done by myself. I was seated in front of the dressing rooms with my mother in law an sister in law to view the dresses on my bridesmaids an was constantly asked if i could move over to give the "bride" an her family more room!! This made me so aggravated an belittled me!! After this kept happening i could not concentrate on any of the dresses an was so aggravated i left accomplishing nothing!! I will never go there again im not even sure if i will even step foot in a Davids Bridal!! read more

My mom and I went yesterday and had a wonderful experience. It was my first time looking at wedding dresses and I really wasn't sure what I wanted. Barbara was my consultant and absolutely wonderful! She was so knowledgeable and helpful, she made me instantly comfortable and feel special. I ended up purchasing the first dress I tried on, she asked to have it ordered for me because the floor sample was damaged. It was a seamless experience. She picked out the most perfect veil and headpiece for me to try on, loved them both and got those too. It's like she knew me. I am beyond happy. My mom and I both cried, when we showed my Dad and sister the pictures of me in the dress they both cried, we had a definite winner. I could not have been happier. Toni-Ann helped check us out and was equally wonderful. I would do the experience over again in a heartbeat. Request Barbara and you will not be disappointed! I even wrote a note for the store manger before I left, I was so pleased! read more

This review is solely based on my experience with my alterations. I had my final fitting for my dress 10 days before my wedding. I went and tried it on, they showed us how to do the bustle, walked in it, sat in it and watched them steam it. My wedding day came and I looked beautiful. Then during my reception, I noticed that I kept getting stuck with something in my hands every time I lifted the skirt of my dress to walk or step up. Then I started getting stabbed in my legs. One of my friends lifted up one of the layers of the dress to reveal that they did NOT finish my alterations...the pins were still in the front part of the dress. If they pulled them out, the dress would've fallen apart. I kept the dress on until almost the end of the night and finally had to change because the pain was just too much. When I did get changed, I noticed all of the puncture marks all over both of my legs from the pins. Needless to say, I was livid. I went to David's the next day and spoke to the manager. I have to say she was very apologetic and I was glad it was her because I had dealt with her before and she was very nice and accommodating then. I showed her the pins and she was mortified. I explained that I watched them steam my dress and they still didn't know it wasn't done. She had no explanation and didn't try to make excuses, which I appreciated. She refunded me the full amount that I paid for my alterations. I will not ever go there for alterations again. I should have listened to everyone who told me how many times they messed up people's dresses. Lesson learned. read more
